Professional - This company showed up on time every day. They all appeared to enjoy their job as they smiled, laughed.....and I could hear them downstairs happily singing and enjoying each other's company. The employees were kind and explained every step to us. 4. Timeliness - Never late. In fact, they were always a little early. 5. Affordable - This is NOT a cheap process. Keep in mind that there is a lot of labor involved in refinishing a floor. It takes a hours to complete. And when you have the caliber of employees that they have, you've got to pay them well to keep them. And these guys are worth keeping. So no, it is not a cheap job. But I feel like I got more than my money's worth. I could go on and on about how much I recommend this company. Two of my neighbors inquired about their work. I told them I will let them check it out, so hopefully they will get even more business in my area. They deserve it.

For a no-hassle experience scheduling a job, this is a great company. Quality: The floors look beautiful. They were able to eliminate some scratched up areas where dirt also had been deeply rubbed into the wood. It made my house look new. The sateen finish with natural stain is just beautiful. I highly recommend Sergio Luis for any floor work you might need!…read more A couple of weeks ago, my tenant (who lives in my single condo unit in Washington, DC--I live in Los Angeles now), contacted me to say that the wood floors in the foyer near the utility closet had "raised up." I don't know any flooring folks so I went to Yelp and posted my need for a flooring expert to go out to the apartment and assess the situation. Sergio Luis from Artistic Hardwood Floors responded in a timely fashion. I noted they had great reviews--which is the first thing I look for--and he went out to the property later that day. As suspected, the raised floors were due to an HVAC leak in the utility closet. Long/short, Sergio's crew took out the floor and subfloors on Thursday, 7/3 and finished the work today, 7/7 (the concrete underneath needed time to dry plus it was the holiday weekend). The picture he sent of the finished product looked good. I don't know how much it costs to replace hardwood floors and blend them with the existing floors, but the price seemed fair to me. He also connected me with his long-time colleague, a plumber and HVAC technician to work on that piece, so it felt like a full-service situation going on, which was really helpful. Apparently plumbers and HVAC experts have a symbiotic relationship, which makes sense--Sergio had already surmised, even with the floors being dry and before he went to my condo, that it was an HVAC leak responsible for the raised floors. What I appreciated the most about Sergio was his communication (prompt and courteous), his thoroughness in explaining the situation and the work that needed to be done, and just his help overall since I live 3,000 miles away. He was very kind and helpful. And, they are professional experts at what they do. I am definitely keeping his information in my phone moving forward!

Update on my Original Review: AVOID at ALL COST…read more.. (UPDATE on my ORIGINAL REVIEW) The owner called me to discuss the EXTREMELY NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE we had, and the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE provided by his employees. I appreciated his personal outreach, and was gracious enough to give them another chance. During the "2nd Chance Visit", his carpet estimator was incredibly rude to my female tenant, made it seem like he was doing her a favor to show-up, and verbally CURSED AT MY FEMALE TENANT. She became afraid and asked the carpet estimator to leave because she felt unsafe. I respect & appreciate the OWNER for trying to make things right, but if this is the caliber of employee that his company hires, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM. It is 1,000% UNACCEPTALBE for a service provider that has been invited into someone's home to curse at a woman. UNACCEPTABLE. District Floor Depot WILL NOT be getting my business, and I hope that no consumer supports this type of behavior by doing business with them. (ORIGINAL REVIEW) This company offers HORRIBLE customer service. I scheduled multiple appointments, and they just didn't show up. They called and said the representative was outside. THEY LIED. We immediately opened the door, and no one was there. I called right back, and they said the representative was there, but left. They lied. We were looking for them the entire time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this company. Go to a reputable company that appreciates & values its customers and their time. I would not accept free carpet from them at this point. INTEGRITY MATTERS.
