I contracted PriceCo to install Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring the 300 sqft entry space of my townhouse. The area includes a small coat closet floor and was originally partially tiled from the front door to the foot of the stairs (see before photo). PriceCo offered a fair price for the work and they were transparent about the costs, options, and what to expect. The measurement appointment was brief and informative, and they even brought the sample I had seen in their showroom so I could see it in the space. I was given a rough figure for the work immediately, whereas with Lowes I had to wait a day or so after the measurement appointment before a return call. I signed the contracted digitally after a few calls to ask questions about various options. They were able to schedule me for a day roughly a week out from signing. I removed the interior doors and cleared the space completely. I was not told to remove the doors, but I offered to do it beforehand. I was told they would arrive between 8:30am-10:00am. The workers arrived slightly ahead of 8:30am, and simply asked how I wanted the planks oriented. They worked quickly and were completely done with the project and on their way in under 3 hours. Note: If you are planning to have tile removed, you should be aware that removing the cement will create a large amount of airborn dust. I hadn't prepared for this, unfortunately. The stairs to the second floor are open and the dust made it to the second floor and covered everything. If you have nearby spaces without doors you should try to cover the threshold with a tarp. The floor was a little dusty when they were finished as well, which was unsurprising given how much dust was still airborne. They said they had done their best to clean it and this was just the nature of the project. I went and got a mop with a LVP solution and after vacuuming and a once over with a mop the floor looked great. I had given PriceCo an additional budget for 3 bags of fill, but they didn't end up using any bags so I wasn't charged for any of this material. I also didn't have them put down a WhisperStep underlayment, which would have been an additional cost. The floor has a few places where it is noticeable the cement floor below is uneven, but that's understandable and not a major issue for me. Overall, working with PriceCo was a wonderful experience. They were very helpful throughout the entire process, and I look forward to working with them again in the future. read more

We used PriceCo to redo the carpets in our basement. I compared prices for a few places and they were slightly less expensive for what I believed was the same quality. The installation went OK, except they were short some length of carpet and had to come back to finish the job. Slightly annoying, but happy with the end result. I also questioned a seem with the owner - I just wanted to verify he didn't think the seem would get any worse. I was nit-picky regarding it (see photo). PriceCo said they'd come out and fix, but I didn't think it was necessary. It's been months now and not gotten any worse. I believe if I do have a problem they will come to fix it - very responsive! After numerous attempts and months of being ignored, we are glad to have finally received a response from PriceCo Floors. While we appreciate the response, it is very unprofessional and telling of the business practices of PriceCo. The owner's response was completely misinformative and inaccurate, in which I would like to clarify and make everyone aware of the actual truth. To start, we NEVER received any sample boxes of hardwood whatsoever. We only received one showcase room sample board consisting of 4 single wood planks showing absolutely NO chips or defects whatsoever (photo attached for your reference). It would have been nice to know at the time of our floor shopping experience that sample boxes were offered to customers because obviously we would have never chosen this particular hardwood had we seen the defects prior. Unfortunately, we were never once offered this opportunity and were only given a small showcase room sample displaying the deceiving "flawless" hardwoods (again, see photo attached). Secondly, I was advised to hire my own, independent and certified third party flooring inspector with no affiliation to PriceCo if I wanted an honest and unbiased report. After multiple thorough inspections, my flooring inspectors all concluded a poor quality install and defective flooring material. As for the replacement cartons of wood that were provided to me, I NEVER declined to have my defective floors replaced; in fact, my only request from the very beginning was for my defective floors to be replaced. Why would I request additional replacement boards if my intention was not to replace the existing defective ones? The owner, Michelle, kept insisting on "wood putty" because this was obviously the cheapest and quickest option and apparently replacing the boards would require too much effort of her staff. Lastly, regarding the 25 photos I submitted in my review, every single photo is the ORIGINAL that was each taken within WEEKS of PriceCo's install date and NONE have been edited or altered in any way. In fact, Michelle was forwarded ALL of these exact photos via email shortly after the install date. It is ridiculous and comical for the owner, Ash, to even say, "Many of the dings and scratches shown in your attached photos were not present at the time of our inspection and are clearly just due to wear and tear on your floors". None of the owners were even present during the install so how would they know? The reality is that these are actual photos of how my floors were first installed and how they still look today! These photos alone speak huge volumes and should be a red flag to all considering actually patronizing this flooring company! The gaps in my floors are large enough to fit TWO coins in between! Just imagine how incredibly noticeable and disgusting it is to see all the everyday dirt and debris accumulating within these extremely large gaps! But yet the owners continue to say THIS IS NORMAL! Buyers Beware, the owners of PriceCo, Ash and Michelle, will always have excuses and refuse to take accountability for their actions or admit when they are wrong! Simply put, they are extremely dishonest, unprofessional individuals who have no morals, remorse or shame. Choose wisely and spare yourself the heartache I have endured! There are plenty of honest and reputable flooring companies in the community that still exist and value customer service and quality work! PriceCo is NOT one of them! I had a great experience working with PriceCo. They were quick to respond and schedule the walkthrough. They were on time with the walkthrough and understood the requirements I provided. They sent a comprehensive quote all with options that meet the requirements. Their bid was extremely competitive (I had multiple other bids). My partner and I went to the showroom where we met with the team who helped us pick the specific style/ color of the LVP. Once we had picked the LVP, we awarded the contract to Priceco, signed the contract and scheduled the work. On the day of work, the installers showed up on time and very extremely fast and efficient completing all the work in a matter of hours (I had ~550 sq. ft across 3 rooms). I had found some areas of concern after the fact and emailed them. They scheduled me to come back to make the minor fixes. They held on charging the final amount until the minor repairs were made, which was very professional and I've never seen dealing with residential vendors before. All my interactions in person, over email, etc was very professional, I had many questions and they patiently answered all of them patiently. Communication: Ash was really responsive and easy to communicate with. He was also the only contractor who arrived on time for the estimate and provided a quote on-site. I had exactly 5 days available for this job to get done, and I was contacting them less than 2 weeks from the start time, so I wasn't sure if it would even be feasible - but Ash made it happen. The workers arrived near the beginning of the arrival window for the job itself, which I really appreciated so I could get to work on time. For a no-hassle experience scheduling a job, this is a great company. Quality: The floors look beautiful. They were able to eliminate some scratched up areas where dirt also had been deeply rubbed into the wood. It made my house look new. The sateen finish with natural stain is just beautiful. The issue was not the fact that we had a cabinet in the master bedroom, because that cabinet existed when you did the initial measurement. It is not our fault that you didn't make a note to inform your employees of the cabinet. Padding was installed in the master. My complaint was that in the area that it was not installed properly, you did not use any padding. From the photo I included, you can see that padding was not installed in that area. It's not our fault that your workers don't have the proper tools to complete their job. My biggest issue with Price Co is that your employees didn't inform me of the problem. I recently used PriceCo for a carpet replacement in Baltimore and I was extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff working in the showroom were so easy to work with and made the whole process a breeze. The estimate I got was really reasonable and I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't get a quality product for such a low price but the carpet looks great and the install job was excellent. No hard sell no pushy sales folks. Compared to HomeDepot who knew nothing about the carpet and flooring options we wanted, they folks at PriceCo had everything in their heads. After we picked a few options, they then came over to the house to show us what they looked like next to our stuff. Ash and his father told me that Mirage flooring was the best out there and it would last forever. NOT!!! The Mirage hardwood floors are horrible!!! Don't waste your money on them. They will dent and scratch like any other hardwood floors and they look horrible in just a short few years. And I don't even have kids in the house. Mirage floors are to look at, not for everyday use. This was the worst expense I have ever made. So disappointed. I wish I would have went with ceramic tile as I had originally intended to. Had PriceCo do both a maple hardwood floor and carpet. We specifically worried about our dog on the Mirage maple and were told not to worry, the dog can't scratch up these floors. Wrong! The floor looked great, but the maple is soft, and after several years is now covered with deep scratches to the point of needing to be refinished. Our carpet experience was worse. We picked, paid and thought we were getting a very good quality carpet. Paid a little over $6/sq. ft before installation. We knew right away something wasn't right when the installed asked 3 separate times if we really wanted to replace our carpet with what he brought. Note,when the installer keeps saying that, take note and stop and ask why! Right away it looked very different from the sample. Not very dense or lush. Two years in the carpet is ready to be replaced. Stainmaster did not hold up. We don't wear shoes in the house, and wash the dog weekly, and had the carpet shampooed professionally regularly The carpet is dingy and even has a wrinkle. Tips: If you have a dog over 10lbs, don't get maple but something harder. When carpet arrives at your house for installation, compare it to the sample of what you were shown when you paid or ordered, to make sure you are getting what you were expecting before it is laid down. read more

This review is long overdue. I live on the west coast, but I traveled back to my hometown earlier this year for six weeks to fully renovate my dad's (my childhood) home. It still featured the original 1986 carpet, yeah!!! The intent was to renovate then sell; my dad was going to move in to a smaller condo in DC. I'd ordered some decent-looking bamboo flooring at a good price from the orange store, and because I was working on other projects I wouldn't have time to install it in time before our listing date and my return flight. So I called several companies, including PriceCo to get a quote to install it. I spoke with Hamid, who had the lowest price of any of the companies, but he also encouraged me to come into their store to look at the wood they have. I was short on time, but I agreed, and sure enough they had a much nicer real wood flooring. The total price of the flooring and the install was comparable to the wood I'd already purchased, so I returned that and let PriceCo handle all of the materials and labor. They were on time (with our very tight timeline, working overtime to finish the whole-house job in a single day), and did a perfect job. Additionally, Hamid was super friendly, understanding, and gentle with my dad, who was having a hard time with the entire house renovation process. The renovations, largely thanks to the floor, looked so good my dad ended up not selling the house and staying. I've come back six months later to visit, and the floors still look beautiful. I recently used PriceCo to have carpet installed in my house. The process began in September and Ash came out to the house to take measurements. He was quick, answered all of our questions and helped us choose the right carpet based on what our needs were at the time. He even took time to personally follow up a few weeks later. Charlotte was most helpful in providing estimates and even took time to meet with us in December so we could look at the carpet again as we wanted to upgrade from our original decision. We scheduled the install for February 18. It was an icy day (sleet/freezing rain) and the crew still showed up on time. They were masked and ready to go. The installation took a few hours, but they were prompt and efficient. My only gripe is what happened at the very end -- the crew had finished installing the carpet and on the floor by the front door, there were still carpet threads and nails/staples. Instead of vacuuming up the debris, they swept it out the front door on to our front step. YIKES! My husband and I shot a glance at each other like "did that really just happen"? Yeah -- it did. This won't prevent us from working with PriceCo again, but I do advise that the crews NOT do this. Not only is it unprofessional, it is rude to sweep debris outside. To end on a positive note -- overall experience was great. I love the carpet, it's soft and looks so good (and that new carpet smell!!). Ash, Charlotte are both responsive and showed great care for us as customers. They didn't try to swindle us into buying something we didn't want; they answered our questions; and took time to help us. The crew was prompt and got right to work. 10/10 will do business with PriceCo again. We LOVE our new hardwood floors. And we loved the service we got from PriceCo. We visited the showroom, which is open relatively late on weekday evenings -- huge plus for working professionals. We picked out some hardwood samples we liked, and Ash brought them (and more) to our house the next day so we could see them in the right lighting. He did a great job advising us about the types of flooring that would work best in our 100-year-old Baltimore rowhouse, but he was willing to do whatever we wanted if we did not like his recommendations. When everything was priced out, it was a bit over budget, but Ash brought in a more reasonably priced wide plank Bruce oak hardwood that made us comfortable moving forward. A week later, his team came out and finished the installing about 800 square feet within about 3 1/2 hours. They even cleaned up after themselves, did not smudge my freshly painted walls, and left us some of the extra boards. They had two unopened boxes left over, and they discounted our final bill accordingly. One of the best things about this experience was that it was all done in about a week. They gave me a tip to go with the builders grade linoleum floors for a new construction home I was buying and then upgrade with hard wood floors with a flooring company after the house closing, which ended up being a huge cost savings. The first visit to Priceco floors was great, Ash was there and was informative, it was a low pressure environment and he helped me find what I was looking for. Their showroom has a lot of variety and different price points. I decided on the Armstrong American Hickory Handscrape in Gold Rush. I asked for some samples to provide to our builders so they could match the staircase, and Ash personally drove with me out to their wearhouse to pick out a variety of samples to show them [this was before we even signed a contract]. I did get a number of quotes on both carpeting and wood flooring from big box stores, and no one could match Priceco Floor pricing for either. So I set up a time for Ash to come measure to get the official dimensions. The measurement was quick and painless, and Ash was again professional, prompt, and flexible with timing and dates. When it came time for install, I was especially nervous about people coming to our new place and basically tearing up all the floors, and wanted to make sure everything was in kept perfect condition. The crew was great, and they got a big job done in just a few days [whole downstairs, and part of upstairs]. My advice is, don't be afraid to provide feedback or ask questions along the way. There were a few pieces of wood I wasn't crazy about, so they pulled them from the stack [imperfections in some of the wood pieces are normal/expected]. I am also very picky, and have high expectations of the finished product, so any changes or questions I had, the crew and Ash explained their process clearly, and were also very open to feedback throughout, which I really appreciated. Ash personally made a site visit to ensure we were happy with the finished product. It is clear that the people at Priceco Floors take a lot of pride in delivering exceptional customer service, and ensure that the buyer is happy with the finished product. I worked primarily with Ash, and he is professional, easygoing, prompt, and explains things every step of the way to set expectations about each part of the process. Working with PriceCo for my carpeting and tiling needs exceeded my expectations. To start this process I went to the show room to chat as I've never hired a company for tile and carpet work and wanted to get a feel for how it all works. The gentleman at the showroom was very helpful and friendly and let me sign out sample books to look through prior to my in-home consult. Ash came out for the consult the following week and was extremely professional and courteous. He answered all of my questions, didn't rush me, took all the measurements and actually put a price quote together for me on the spot. I wasn't in love with the books I had borrowed so he brought more samples in from his car and we were able to find flooring that I was very happy with. Install: I had to push back the installation since the painters were taking a bit longer than they had initially estimated. Ash was very flexible and didn't make a big deal of the scheduling changes. The men who came out to do the install were all very polite, very professional and were conscientous of the fact that we had just had the house freshly painted so they were very careful to not damage the walls. The install took an extra couple days than was initially planned but that made no difference to me as my home was vacant at the time. It was more important that the install was done well rather than extra-speedy and YES, the install quality is extremely good! If there had been a reason that it needed to be done faster, I have no doubt Ash would have figured a way to get a couple extra workers out there. I will definitely use this company again and suggest them to friends. But 1 tip for the home owner: discuss the color and material of transitions. I didn't really think of this at the time of selecting materials to order but I think its a good idea. **update: just an fyi, they DID go with the higher-end transitions and did extra prep work to make sure the tiles went in nicely.
