I had an amazing time with my family I definitely recommend this place 10/10 The sky lyft was insane even a little scary for myself if your scared of heights I don't recommend but one of my favorite family attraction in the area

The ski lift will get your attention on the way up, feels like you're going almost straight up, the views from the lift are amazing. After getting up top there is plenty of views from multiple seating areas. Along with that, there are many trails and paths you can walk on. The Skybridge is fantastic. Close to 700' end to end with the highest point from the ground below is close to 150'. To add to the walk around the bride is a glass area to look down and just really see how far you are from the ground. It's fun just to watch many people change their stride, grab on the cable just a bit harder and slowly walk around the glass

We were in town celebrating our 3yro birthday. We visited the Ranch two days in a row for the coaster. There seemed to be lots of other add ons and experiences you can pay for additional fees. My toddler loved the coaster, most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I love that if kids are the acceptable height, they can ride with an adult on the car. We enjoyed the coaster at night as well, though many of their lights need maintenance and are completely out. You will pay a premium, tourist price but it's comparable to other coasters in the area. A big take away is that a member of the crew boarding us on the coaster on our second visit made me and my daughter very uncomfortable. He continuously got in her face once strapped in trying to talk to her, calling her sweetie, princess, saying she's shy this that and another. When my husband had her in his car, he didn't say a word to her. He also wouldn't start the ride because he kept trying to get a reaction or something out of her. It was extremely creepy and uncomfortable. There was zero awareness of reading the room and being professional.

This was my second time coming here to try the speciality menu and milkshakes. The prices were pretty extreme.. with military discount it was $86 for 2 people, This included chair lift to the top and one coaster ride. I also spent over $70 on food that was way overpriced. So some of the seasonal food/dessert is strictly on Friday and Saturdays and some after 5pm. So I am afraid of heights and they didn't say anything about them having a shuttle. I was freaking out, trying to close my eyes on the chair lift because it was very high and it kept stopping which made things worse. Once up there, there wasnt too too much stuff to do. There was a little shop, bbq booth, cafe/bakery, animals and a place you can walk up around to get a scenery view. The mexican corn is not mexican corn it was just corn with a drizzle of sour cream and paprika.. nothing mexican about it. The corn ball things were very good it was like jack cheese inside. The apple dessert was very tasty. I was told that the pizza was good. I had the smokehouse sandwich and it was tasty, just make sure you take a tums because you will be burping it up all day. I asked an employee if there was another way to get down because I wasn't going to ride the chair down again. The coaster was by far the best part, but only got 1 ride and it was about 5-6 minutes long. They need to work on their pricing big time.

Such a great place to visit. The hayride was my favorite. Was given so much info regarding the animals. Bri our tour guide was amazing!!!!! Overall a great time and educational. Will be back!

The SkyLand Ranch was a nice place. 3 adults and two children under 3 went. We enjoyed the SkyRide lift; and the kids both enjoyed petting the cow and taking pictures with the cow. My expectations were really high for this place of business; and I came back extremely disappointed. We had pictures done with the cow and my husband's Great Uncle's face was really dark in the picture. It didn't turn out well at all. So that money was basically wasted. The photographer should have noticed right away and asked if we could take his hat off or push it up higher to see his face clearer. I expected to have some kind of petting place for kids, but all I saw were animals in cages with water spraying on them and water to drink and that's it. No one was there tending to them. Then we went to the playground area for kids, and because it was a hot day, the kids couldn't really go down on the slides because it was really hot. My kids were too young to go on any other rides and they didn't really want to walk around anywhere. All in all, I most definitely would not come back here.

This was a beautiful place and very well decorated but was definitely not worth the price. The food at the cafe was mid but expensive, there really wasn't a lot to do at the top besides one ride and walking up the viewing platform. There were few animals and we missed a few because they weren't advertised anywhere. Anakeesta is a better use of your time and money overall.

The best value attraction in the Smokies! It's incredibly fun at a great price. We love that you can go for 3 straight days.

We had a blast on the mountain coaster! You're able to control the speed and stop if need too! It's super smooth!

Highly manufactured experience that seems like false advertising . It's advertised as an amusement park but....it's ..not. Here's my impression : some developer bought some hilly land and threw some poor animals up on said hill , laid some FAKE grass down and put up a store full of overpriced and low quality China produced goods and added some food trucks . This developer then expects you - the consumer - to pay to get up the hill either by chair lift or shuttle so that you can then buy their China products and highly processed , fast food . They say they have entertainment shows but we are literally sitting here now at 11:45 for an 11am "western show" that has yet to occur . Oh and none of the employees know why the 11am show hasn't happened . They say there's supposed to be live music . Nothing . The employees don't seem to be able to answer basic questions nor do they seem to enjoy being here. Also , the barn is closed and the few animals they have look depressed . They have the poor animals on fake grass and black tarps . Down by the mountain coaster loading area they have them on dirt/rocks with no shade and barely any grass. They do have a "mountain coaster." If you've never ridden one , basically riders sit in a cart, similar to a bobsled, that is attached to a fixed track. Mountain coasters use the natural elevation of the area and gravity to transport riders down the mountain. The mountain coaster was the only thing that was entertaining for our group . Buying a ticket up the hill does not get you access to the mountain coaster . It was an additional cost to ride it . They do take a photo of you mid ride on the mountain coaster but don't think of pulling your phone out to snap a pic of the proof in the gift shop . I noticed they had someone standing by the photos shaming anyone that had a cell phone out lol . I could not figure out the value in the price of admission because there does not seem to be anything to do once on the hill other than eat & shop . Make it make sense . The business seemed new so perhaps they will improve the experience . However , they should lower the admission price while they work out the kinks.

Our experience way exceeded our expectations. Eric, our hayride and bus driver was a delightful person to speak with and we had a lovely conversation not only about the ranch but also general life conversations. Jay, Ben amd Billy at the coaster were so wonderful, thoughtful and accommodating. Due to a halted first ride (rider completely stopped on the track, was no fault of staff of the ranch), we were allowed to take a 2nd ride. Honestly I have never experienced the level of kindness and caring outside of Disney parks. I hope the owners or management take great care of their amazing staff. The coaster was so much fun. The chair lift has such amazing views. The hayride was so informative and fun. The ranch was very clean and attractive. The food was fantastic and very reasonable priced for a attraction.

My son's cart got stuck 3/4 of the way up the second incline. Hes afraid of heights and was already hesitant to ride to begin with. He was stuck there for around 20 mins until he had to get out and walk back down. Not one member of management tried to check on him/ us to make sure he was ok. When we tried to get a refund because he obviously didn't get to finish his ride, they wouldn't /couldn't issue a refund and said they could only give a rain check. To say I was taken back by the disregard and lack of concern of the danger that my son was put in is a huge understatement and this facility took zero accountability for what happened. I do not recommend this place.

    Lil' Sebastian? Maybe.

My wife and I have been together for 24 years. In that time we've gone horseback riding 3 times,…read moretwo of which have been here in Pigeon Forge. Our most recent excursion @ Goldrush Stables and the other @ Big Rock Dude Ranch. Naturally, I can't help making comparisons between the two. Simply put, after this experience we've come to the conclusion we really don't like riding horses, even though we love them! It's just not for us, but we are so glad for all the opportunities. . [ THE RIDE ] We arrived 15 minutes early as requested by the stables to sign waivers and prep for the ride. Our trail guides were saddling several horses as we watched from outside the fence. Once ready, we were summoned to the mounting platform, which makes it much easier for beginners like us. Because COVID-19 has given me a little extra girth, I was given one of the larger horses named Blondie, while my wife rode Fanny. It was Blondie's first ride in weeks (they tend to rest their horses for long periods), so she proved to be rather eager on the trail. Fanny, as my wife soon discovered, doesn't like to get her feet wet. Once all the riders were mounted & instructed, we walked across a wooden bridge to a field and began our ride. Normally the ride would begin by walking the horses through the creek, but rain from the night before had water levels up, so we bypassed it via the bridge. We also bypassed another creek walk further down the trail, which was disappointing since it was one of the main reasons we chose this stable over Big Rock. It was one of the best selling points. We then arrived at a smaller, more narrow creek crossing that both Blondie and Fanny decided to jump, startling both me & my wife. Immediately after the creek the terrain goes uphill, which my horse decided to run. She headed straight into some low-lying branches, almost knocking me off. Her eagerness caused her to not listen very well when pulling back on her reigns and my inexperience handling her didn't help. My wife's horse ran her knee into a tree just after jumping the small creek, so clearly we were having a few issues! LOL Our guides yelled out after my wife's accident "steer your horses", but even after 3-minutes of instruction it's hard to do that properly when the horse seems to have other plans. At this point the trail follows a path into the woods and up and down a fairly good-sized hill. On a dry day I think this would have been a very pleasant ride, but because the trail was muddy, my particular horse kept sliding... BADLY, like something you'd see in a cartoon! It was very nerve racking and made it difficult to relax and enjoy the experience. In truth, I felt sorry for my horse. She was seriously soaked in sweat by mid ride and seemed to walk under every low branch along the way! I believe she was intentionally trying to get me off her back, fo'realz... hahaha! Poor thing. My wife remained frazzled most of the ride as she wrestled with her own fears of not feeling in control. At midpoint the trail loops back into itself and we follow the same path back to the beginning. . [ THE VERDICT ] We learned something about ourselves that I suppose we've always known. Some of the experiences we've had were greatly enhanced because of the joy we felt showing our children how to live life. We did so many things in the name of giving them great memories and now we must reprogram to pursue our own like as a couple, not just as parents. We thought we would enjoy the more open fields & smaller slopes @ Goldrush versus the mountainous trail @ Big Rock, and probably would have if not for the muddy conditions. That being said, the ride time was far shorter and there is little else to do here. Overall we felt like Big Rock was the better value. So why 4 stars you ask? Well, for one I believe most of our dislikes for this ride were either OPERATOR ERROR or just conditions that couldn't be helped. It's just the luck of the draw when dealing with nature. Secondly, I think despite the shortness of the trail, it is perfect for beginners and families with children old enough to ride on their own. [ NOTE TO OWNERS ] I would like to suggest regularly trimming low lying branches along the trail, adding colorful signage reminding riders to watch their knees in at least TWO critical areas and/or add a guide rail to deter the horses from walking so close. Most of us city folk just don't know how to handle a horse!!! Also, since the trail is short and most people these days love photo opportunities, why not build a second mounting/dismounting platform at the top of the hill where riders can have a chance to pause & take pics on or beside their horses. I personally think this would go a long way in improving the experience. TIP WHEN PLANNING A VISIT: Currently they do not allow doubles, so smaller children or kids fearful of riding alone cannot ride (unlike Big Rock which allows small children to ride with parents). ENJOY 2020 / 71
