Makayla and Fancy were awesome!! I enjoyed Makayla so much, I loved hearing her stories and chatting with her! Especially about her paw paw and riding horses since she was 4!! Great experience and if you're coming make sure to ask for her!! Also can't forget Stephanie at the front who was such a delight!! For Zip-lining Jay and Nathan were great!! They were so laid back and chill!! They're also very funny and remind me of the Viva La Bam guys we will definitely be back!! The ATV riding was so fun Patrick was amazing!! I didn't have any sun glasses and he went above and beyond and gave me his so I wouldn't get dirt and dust in my eyes. Afterwards he talked to my fiance and I for a bit and gave us great recommendations on where to go around here for drinks! He also chatted it up with my fiance about sports and where he's from! Such a fun and personable staff!! Jayell was too good to us!! I want to add (because I don't feel these 1 star reviews are justified) we did everything online and had ZERO issues, you simply just have to read! Show up 45minutes early, bring your ID and the card you used to pay as well to verify everything at check in- this is to protect against fraud! If you are late you do not get refunded, this is because you are not entitled to keep everyone else waiting to go on their excursion. It's as simple as that people, you have to read everything and you won't have issues. Blaming an establishment for your lack of not reading what is required and what the policies are is ridiculous!!

I'm very disappointed in the staffs overall attitude it's very rude and rushed especially in the stable... the horses are filthy... I enjoyed the trail ride but it wasn't safe for beginners because the guide was inexperienced. Will be trying out a different establishment next time! Beautiful property though. Just really low vibrational staff unfortunately.

This place is absolutely incredible. We did the snow tubing and monkey and bird aviary. My children absolutely loved the animals and everyone was so very friendly. The tubing was also fun and the petting zoo. I highly recommend. Get there early because we had the place to ourselves!

My small group of girls and I went to Jayell Ranch to do horseback riding. The ranch was absolutely beautiful! It was the first time I ever rode a horse and I absolutely loved it! Our guide was amazing and helpful! I thought the price was great for the guided horseback ride. They really helped with everything along the way. I had a great first horseback ride ever! I definitely want to go back and do this again.

This was the first time we were visiting the Smokey mountains and visiting Jayell Ranch made our trip 10 times better!! We came here to try the 3 zip line for the first time and at the end planning to try their 6 zip line for the next time! The staff were awesome and made the whole experience so memorable even though it was raining!! They offer so many more amazing activities in their beautiful ranch, horseback riding, ATV tour, snow tubing, and so many more! All in an amazing experience!!

We were in Tennessee celebrating my friend's birthday. And this is one of the activities that she tells for us to do. We got this in town on Friday and headed straight to Jayell Ranch. We waited in line for a bit and once we had gotten to the front, I overheard one of the ladies working at the one to tell someone that because they didn't use the same card for the damage waiver that they did to pay for the ticket that they couldn't go through. Turns out I did the same thing. I had a few minutes to go back to the car and grab my other card and redo my damage waiver. But I was informed that I wouldn't make it back in time which I made it back two minutes after our scheduled time to ride the ATVs. So we all ended up having to change our reservation to the next day. So we go to the very next day bright and early in the morning one of the first people there. And then there is an issue with two of the girls that I'm with paid to just be a rider. So we all thought that meant that they were right on the back of an ATV with a professional. Well, that wasn't the case but the staff work in the window was very rude about explaining things to us. One of the girls in our group does it drive so we were all questioning what would've happened if none of us were there and they basically just said she would've had to pay for a ticket to be a writer. It was just a very awkward interaction and they did not have any compassion at all about the situation. We had already had an issue the previous day. I would say that the ATVs were a nice ride I gave a two because of the customer service,it was very much lacking and really turned our experience from being good to just OK. Our God, Michael was very nice. He's very patient with one of my friends who was driving very very slow. But we ended the ride on a better note.

    In our lineup..ready to go!

What a great time we had for our ATV ride today! Pops was our guide and he was patient with providing us the guidance to get through all the trails! I have done the ATV thing while in Dubai on sand dunes..this rugged terrain was truly a different experience that I enjoyed very much! The experience lasted approximately an hour and the fears I had navigating through the woods and through tight turns...melted away as we came to a beautiful clearing where you could see the mountain tops touching the clouds...simply breathtaking! There are other activities offered here...Tubing...Horseback Riding and Zip Lining! From start to finish-Staff were all friendly and made our time at the ranch enjoyable!

Jayell Ranch has something for every member of the family, 5's for our ATV tour guide, Covy, who went above & beyond with assisting my 67yr old self & letting me ride with him after my slight mishap after take-off. He coached and cheered our 12 yr old "first-timer" like a champ...we plan to request him on our future visits to the Ranch. It'd be hard NOT to have a great day at Jayell Ranch, the attractions AND the staff are topnotch. Don't miss it!

    Many healthy, happy horses.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff... lots of them too! Very impressive set up & great value for what you get. Clean, air conditioned bathrooms. Massive parking lot. They have food & drink on site. Great activity for families or solo. Our group split among different activities which were all timed concurrently making it especially easy to plan. Enjoy!!

This is as close as you can get to tame/wild animals that we have every found. Now with the rain you would think it would not be good to do. However not alot of people came so we had it almost to ourselves. Just were a water resistant jacket and good foot wear and your good to go. The paths inside are gravel and only on a few areas was the dirt exposed on the main trails. Inside the pens is a different story of course because the animals are in there. We were able to feed them by hand of either pellets and corn or slices of apples. Whole apples were like 50 cents a piece and a small cup of feed was 2.50. Very cheap in my opinion for how much feeding you can do with one cup. We started with one small cup (which you get to keep plastic cup as souvenir) and 5 apples. They gave us a bag for the apples so you don't have to hold in your hand loose. My wide was floored at how much fun she had feeding all the animals and so was I. We loved it and will be back. The have the following animals there: large bunnies, goats, ostriches, reindeer, fallow deer, elk, highland cows, small ponies, donkeys, pigs, pheasant, camels, and so much more. A must go for us.

My wife and I have been together for 24 years. In that time we've gone horseback riding 3 times,…read moretwo of which have been here in Pigeon Forge. Our most recent excursion @ Goldrush Stables and the other @ Big Rock Dude Ranch. Naturally, I can't help making comparisons between the two. Simply put, after this experience we've come to the conclusion we really don't like riding horses, even though we love them! It's just not for us, but we are so glad for all the opportunities. . [ THE RIDE ] We arrived 15 minutes early as requested by the stables to sign waivers and prep for the ride. Our trail guides were saddling several horses as we watched from outside the fence. Once ready, we were summoned to the mounting platform, which makes it much easier for beginners like us. Because COVID-19 has given me a little extra girth, I was given one of the larger horses named Blondie, while my wife rode Fanny. It was Blondie's first ride in weeks (they tend to rest their horses for long periods), so she proved to be rather eager on the trail. Fanny, as my wife soon discovered, doesn't like to get her feet wet. Once all the riders were mounted & instructed, we walked across a wooden bridge to a field and began our ride. Normally the ride would begin by walking the horses through the creek, but rain from the night before had water levels up, so we bypassed it via the bridge. We also bypassed another creek walk further down the trail, which was disappointing since it was one of the main reasons we chose this stable over Big Rock. It was one of the best selling points. We then arrived at a smaller, more narrow creek crossing that both Blondie and Fanny decided to jump, startling both me & my wife. Immediately after the creek the terrain goes uphill, which my horse decided to run. She headed straight into some low-lying branches, almost knocking me off. Her eagerness caused her to not listen very well when pulling back on her reigns and my inexperience handling her didn't help. My wife's horse ran her knee into a tree just after jumping the small creek, so clearly we were having a few issues! LOL Our guides yelled out after my wife's accident "steer your horses", but even after 3-minutes of instruction it's hard to do that properly when the horse seems to have other plans. At this point the trail follows a path into the woods and up and down a fairly good-sized hill. On a dry day I think this would have been a very pleasant ride, but because the trail was muddy, my particular horse kept sliding... BADLY, like something you'd see in a cartoon! It was very nerve racking and made it difficult to relax and enjoy the experience. In truth, I felt sorry for my horse. She was seriously soaked in sweat by mid ride and seemed to walk under every low branch along the way! I believe she was intentionally trying to get me off her back, fo'realz... hahaha! Poor thing. My wife remained frazzled most of the ride as she wrestled with her own fears of not feeling in control. At midpoint the trail loops back into itself and we follow the same path back to the beginning. . [ THE VERDICT ] We learned something about ourselves that I suppose we've always known. Some of the experiences we've had were greatly enhanced because of the joy we felt showing our children how to live life. We did so many things in the name of giving them great memories and now we must reprogram to pursue our own like as a couple, not just as parents. We thought we would enjoy the more open fields & smaller slopes @ Goldrush versus the mountainous trail @ Big Rock, and probably would have if not for the muddy conditions. That being said, the ride time was far shorter and there is little else to do here. Overall we felt like Big Rock was the better value. So why 4 stars you ask? Well, for one I believe most of our dislikes for this ride were either OPERATOR ERROR or just conditions that couldn't be helped. It's just the luck of the draw when dealing with nature. Secondly, I think despite the shortness of the trail, it is perfect for beginners and families with children old enough to ride on their own. [ NOTE TO OWNERS ] I would like to suggest regularly trimming low lying branches along the trail, adding colorful signage reminding riders to watch their knees in at least TWO critical areas and/or add a guide rail to deter the horses from walking so close. Most of us city folk just don't know how to handle a horse!!! Also, since the trail is short and most people these days love photo opportunities, why not build a second mounting/dismounting platform at the top of the hill where riders can have a chance to pause & take pics on or beside their horses. I personally think this would go a long way in improving the experience. TIP WHEN PLANNING A VISIT: Currently they do not allow doubles, so smaller children or kids fearful of riding alone cannot ride (unlike Big Rock which allows small children to ride with parents). ENJOY 2020 / 71

Legacy Mountain Zipline - Sevierville, TN…read more This was my very first time ziplining, and Legacy Mountain set the bar incredibly high. My wife has zipped through the jungle in Honduras before, but even she said this experience blew that out of the water. The drive up to Legacy Mountain is beautiful, and when you arrive there's plenty of free parking right out front. They also have a nice gift shop stocked with shirts, hoodies, cups, and more--great for grabbing a souvenir after your adventure. From the start, the staff was welcoming and helpful. Our guides, Will and Jesse, were absolutely awesome--fun to joke around with, but when it came to safety, they were all business. They made sure everyone felt secure and confident, and it was clear they really know their stuff. The course itself is amazing: 7 adrenaline‑filled lines, including one soaring over 500 feet high with breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains. There are a few uphill walks between platforms, but our whole group managed them easily. The only drawback is that customers aren't allowed to take their own photos. There is a photographer at one spot, but our pictures didn't turn out great and felt overpriced. Honestly, if Legacy lowered the photo costs--or better yet, allowed guests to snap their own shots--it would be a win‑win. Guests would share their experiences on social media, giving Legacy tons of free advertising. That said, we had an incredible time, and Will and Jesse played a huge part in making it memorable. Thanks, fellas! If you're in the area and looking for adventure, Legacy Mountain Zipline is a must‑do. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.
