My surprise this was the place ...it's very hidden off the beaten path away from to tourists but still close to everything. The inside decor was very modern and very spacious. The service was prompt and professional. We wanted to sit outside but it was too hot. It's a cool vibe for a Teenager. He had the Nashville hot honey chicken as well as my Fiance.They both loved their food. I had the Margherita pizza and I didn't like it. Had wayyyyyy too many tomato's and I don't want no half cut tomato on my damn pizza, might as well had called it a damn tomato sandwich thats why I can't give 5 stars. We wanted to get away from the tourist traps and I'm glad we found this place. It is right outside of pigeon forge and feels like a totally different space. We sat outside and the kid met other kids to play with. They only have bag toss and nothing else for the kids to do really (or adults for that matter), so bring play items. There is a grassy space for them to run around if needed though. The food was good and the beer was great. Our server was very polite. Were from the Midwest so the prices are a little higher than we are used to. We've been to a lot of barndo style breweries and this is like most but with a better view. It is very clean, but lacks a lot of character. We would happily go back though and recommend others to check it out. read more

We had such a great experience at Iron Forge Brewing Co. that we came back later that day with friends for dinner! The staff was welcoming, attentive, and had great recommendations. Jonathan and I each got a beer flight, and we genuinely enjoyed every beer. My favorites were the lager and the Krush Hazy IPA. When we returned, I ordered the bavette steak, which was a great value and came with delicious green beans and rosemary potatoes. Jonathan got the pork and devoured it so quickly I didn't even get a chance to try it! The cranberry champagne vinaigrette on my side salad was TO DIE FOR - I could eat that with anything. We also shared the hummus and pimento cheese board, which was surprisingly delicious. I'm not usually a pimento cheese gal but this one won me over! The giant pretzel with beer cheese and Dijon mustard was also a hit. The flatbread was a little lackluster but exactly what you'd expect. Fantastic first experience! When you pull up to this place, it stands alone in the middle of a gently wooded area. Rustic vibes. Once you get inside, even more rustic. Sets the mood perfectly. They have parking located directly in front of the brewery and plenty of out door seating if you want to sit outside. I tried samples of the Pom rio and the pineapple mango seltzer, but ended up going with the seltzer. Both were fantastic, and the orange slice in the Pom Rio brought out the natural notes! Our bartenders were awesome and reviewed the beers, other drink selections, and suggestions for menu items (chicken pot pie was highly recommended!). We stopped in here during our visit to Pigeon Forge as it was a good dog friendly option and the menu looked great. We were seated right away and our server Katie was very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind, and brought our drinks and our dog a water bowl right away. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and onion rings after seeing photos + positive reviews of those online. My boyfriend was between the chicken pot pie and winter berry salad, and after a recommendation from our server (he wanted a lighter option) ordered the winterberry salad with grilled chicken added, and also had their oatmeal stout. While the flavors of all of my meal were fantastic (the chicken was seasoned well - could have been a bit spicier for me but that is personal preference and I like spicier food than most people) and the coleslaw on it complemented it well. The onion rings had great crunch and flavor, and the "come back" sauce they came with was amazing. Unfortunately everything on my plate was luke warm temperature at best. I expected everything to be piping hot, between the chicken and the onion rings, but they were barely warm. I'm not sure if they just sat too long before being served, but it took away from what could have been a fantastic meal. My boyfriend enjoyed the flavors of his salad as well, however his chicken was very overcooked and dry. He said the beer was fantastic and the highlight of his meal. Overall, the service and menu options were great, and our food was "ok." It was very dog friendly which is a huge positive for us when traveling with our Frenchie (they're welcome inside also, which is perfect for not so great weather days!) and we would probably give them another try when in the area. read more

They had games to keep the kids occupied and the food was soooo good! We ordered a pretzel, loaded fries and crispy Brussels sprouts for appetizers. All of them were so delicious! Went here this past weekend and the aesthetics are delightful and there was great seating for a larger party. Good location as well. Unfortunately, we got a house tequila soda, and the server (who was kind and attentive) had no idea what the house was but it ended up being Espolon, which is totally OK. BUT they charged us $12 a drink plus a dollar for soda water each time. That means when we got four drinks, they charged us for a soda of water every time even though it was a $12 tequila soda in a tiny glass. 100% recommend Iron Forge Brewing Co! We had actually stopped at a different place (a distillery right in the heart of Pigeon Forge). It was loud, touristy and actually out of several beers - so we headed over to Iron Forge. The Good: -Off the beaten path, on a quiet(er) back road. -It's a newer building (I think the bartender said they've been open 2 years.) You can see the brewing floor. The machinery is spotless and so was the floor! They were cleaning out one of the vats when we were there. They give that grain/hops (whatever it is!) to local farmers for their cows. It's like a sweet treat for the cows! -Bartender was awesome! Friendly, attentive and really knows his beer and cider. -All beer is brewed in house. They get their ciders from the Cider Barn right across the street. It was delicious! -All their food is fresh - not frozen (almost like a scratch kitchen). They make all their sauces and salad dressings in house. We had the wing: tossed in garlic parm with buffalo hot sauce and sweet bourbon sauce on the side. Man on man was it good! We also had fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese and bacon jam on the side. Again-delicious! -There's a big bar and plenty of inside seating, but there's also an outdoor patio area. My husband and I just happened upon this place because we were driving on a back road by the Apple Barn area. Can't believe we haven't heard about it and gone before now! Wide selection of beer produced in house at the brewery. My husband and I liked our selections, per recommendations of our server. I wasn't that hungry, but I love fried green tomatoes. So, I couldn't resist ordering them. The bacon jam that was on top of the fried green tomatoes was the best ever! It was served with pimento cheese that was good by itself, but when combined with the fried green tomato... slap your mama! It was so scrumptious, i savored every bite! I had never had the two together, but I think I will be seeking that out on menus from now on. My husband wasn't hungry, so I was glad I got it all to myself and didn't have to share. lol. This will probably become one of our favorite local hang outs, so we will come with heavy appetites from now on. This place is awesome!! Very clean inside and great server who went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. I got a flight of beers that were all good but my favorite was the honey wheat ale. Then I got the BBQ bone-in wings and they were outstanding. They really sauced them over, not like some other places that skimp on the sauce. Great size wings and I really loved their ranch dressing on the side. My wife loved her Cobb salad and the ranch as well. Great area outside to chill or let the kids run around. Must stop anytime you're in the area as it's tucked away from the heavy touristy area but super convenient to the apple barn area. read more

The 16 oz Red Lemonhead cider I chose was sweet and refreshing. My husband chose the 16 oz Smokies Light, which was cold and smooth. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich on a brioche bun, that was big enough for us to split, had just the right amount of Nashville hot sauce kick to it while the side of onion rings were crispy and plentiful. Although, one of my onion rings was missing the onion! I'm going to give this place three stars, and it really may not be fair. This is a brand new place, it's kind of out of the way, it has a great outdoor space but something seems to be disconnected. The inside has an awesome bar that has adequate seating yet it seems like it was rather manic. The drinks were Fair, the beer choices, we're okay. The young man that was waiting on us though was extremely kind and definitely attentive, they were very very busy with large groups and we kind of got lost in the mix when we got seated. He apologized profusely and he made sure he came back several times to make sure everything was all right. I think they need to find their identity and go with it, more games outside to make it more playful for people that aren't all about sitting in a bar or larger louder televisions to make it a sports venue? The fried green tomatoes though were very good. Dog friendly, there were a handful of pups enjoying the beautiful weather while we were there. I loved the logo and they have great shirts to buy but no pint glasses, just steins. They lost a star on that note. I love how the brewery feels like an offbeat hidden gem--the kind of place that suddenly appears and makes you want to linger. The ambiance had a laid-back simplicity that welcomed us the moment we pulled in. Whether tossing a few bags at the cornhole boards or simply admiring the stillness of the surroundings, it had the kind of charm that invites you to stay a while. Inside, seating was abundant--regular tables, high tops, and bar stools, all ready for whatever mood you're in. The bartender who took our order was incredibly kind and impressively knowledgeable about the beer selection. I wish I'd caught her name. Since we arrived before the dinner rush, we grabbed a seat and sipped a beer while waiting for our food. It was a peaceful window of time to take everything in. If I were to note one area for improvement, it would be the women's restroom. With staff standing by and the space still quiet, I'd hoped someone might've taken a moment to tidy things up. To be fair, this task may fall to a specific shift or designated role, but it was a small detail in an otherwise lovely visit. We took our order back home and--no lie--it was so good, we devoured everything before remembering to snap a photo. We had the Crispy Brussels (hold the bacon), the Chicken, Bacon & Pesto, and the Southern Apple Salad. That honey champagne vinaigrette? I could've taken it on the rocks--absolutely divine. This brewery is located off the main road in Pigeon Forge. As I arrived I noticed the scenic view of the mountains and open land areas around the brewery. They have plenty of parking and an outdoor seating are with fire pits. Inside is a dinning area and a glass wall where you can see the brewery. I sat at the bar and decided to do a flight to try different beers. I typically drink IPAs in the summer and darker beers in the winter. I tried two IPAs and two dark ales I found them to be very good. I also ordered fried green tomatoes which came with an aoli sauce along with bacon jam. It was really good. My bartender was super nice and helped me decide what beers to try. I will definitely be returning to this place again when visiting Tennessee. read more

We visited Iron Forge Brewing Co. on a Friday night and found it super busy! There was a 20 minute wait to get seated as a party of 2, but we were able to hang out at the bar in the meantime. The interior was spacious with plenty of seating, big circular lighting fixtures, and a nice outdoor patio. It looked like there were two different private events going on at the same time. I also loved that the whole space was dog-friendly! I ordered a fall seasonal cocktail I can't find the name of now and my friend got the PSL Martini - both were great! The PSL flavor in the martini was pretty subtle, and it mostly tasted like a well-made espresso martini. We got seated after 20 minutes and ordered the Buffalo Bone-in Wings, Kickin Bourbon Bone-in Wings, and Crispy Brussel Sprouts to share. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. The wings really exceeded our expectations! They were cooked perfectly and there was plenty of meat on the bones. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were also tasty and had a nice crunch to them. Portion sizes were generous and we weren't able to finish all our food. Overall, highly recommend for drinks and bar food! read more
