BBQ Chicken Sandwich
Brandy H.

Stopped in for lunch while in town for a volleyball tournament. My parents suggested this place and it was amazing. Their burgers had an awesome flavor along with all the fabulous toppings which make them even better. I had the pimento cheese burger which also had bacon jam on it and it was the perfect flavor combination. The fries were so good with their homemade ketchup which has just the perfect little kick to it. The buns have an everything g bagel seasoning on them which just adds to the tastiness. The restaurant is rather large with plenty of seating and we were sat right away with no wait. Several in our family added a side of ranch to dip their fries in and they all loved the homemade ranch.

We're traveling and came across this fantastic restaurant in Pigeon Forge. The food was great and Krystal and Derek in the bar area were amazing bartenders. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Local Goat was honestly such a great find while we were in town. It was pretty busy when we got there, but we were seated right away, which was a nice surprise. The place itself was clean and had a really good vibe, and our server was super friendly and attentive. We started with the Bing Bang Boom shrimp, and wow! so good! The flavor was on point. The only thing I could've skipped was the wonton crisps on the side, but that's just personal preference. For my meal, I got the TN whiskey burger and... oh my goodness. That thing was HUGE and packed with flavor. Definitely one of those burgers you keep thinking about after the trip. The fries were great too, crispy and well-seasoned. Overall, easy 10/10. I'd honestly travel back to Tennessee just to eat here again.

Went to Tennessee for a girls trip and this place was on our list of options and honestly was the best place we had all weekend! The inside is huge so don't let the packed parking lot discourage you. We were immediately seated upon walking in. Our server was amazing and swooned one of my friends lol. But the food is what is bringing me back here. Everything we tried was amazing and I went with a group of 5 gals with different taste buds. I had the TN Whiskey Glazed Burger with a side of onion rings and omg. The burger had sooo much flavor and was perfectly cooked to my liking. The onion rings were massive and battered to perfection. Everything came out fairly quickly and was so delicious! The portions are great and everything is decently priced for the location. Will definitely be my top spot when I'm in the PF area!

Billy burger - house made aioli paired perfectly with the umami mushrooms.

A solid choice for a lunch or dinner when in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. Upon first glance, it looks like your typical pub style restaurant with new American fare. However this establishment dares to take risks like deep frying deviled eggs and making all condiments in-house, assuring a unique experience. On a busy Sunday, my party of 2 was seated immediately and our waitress made sure to explain the menu since it was our first time. For our entrees, we ordered the Billy burger and the farmhouse burger, both of which were cooked to perfection. The patty was juicy, flavorful, and piled high with toppings. The seasoned bun was a welcome surprise. If you like burgers, you can't go wrong ordering one with your favorite customizations. It was our first time, but won't be our last visit when we are in Pigeon forge on a future trip!

Family owned, friendly environment and cool merch! Maria did a phenomenal job. As soon as we told her it was our first time, she got excited for us to be there and gave us confidence that we will enjoy whatever we order. We absolutely did!! We got the spinach dip... okay so it comes with pico and sour cream. My boyfriend practically flipped the cup into his mouth of pico because it tasted that good! It was so fresh and the acidity was perfect. The spinach was good too lol He got the ribeye with baked potato and coleslaw. 10/10 he left no crumbs! The steak was cooked to perfection.... perfectly pink in the middle. Melted in your mouth with an incredible flavor! (I low key regret not getting a steak) I got a salmon Ceaser salad. It was massive and it was good. I'll say I wish I would have ordered something different. Nothing was wrong with it at all, I feel like I could have gotten this salad anywhere back home. But the steak..... the little piece I had left me wanting more!!! We absolutely did not have room for dessert and wish we did because they sounded so good!

It has been a while since I last visited Pigeon Forge, and I decided to follow a Yelp recommendation for Local Goat. I am so glad I did because it absolutely did not disappoint. The service was wonderful from start to finish. The wait staff were very friendly and clearly knew the menu inside and out, which made ordering easy. As for the vibe, the ambiance was perfect. It has that great "local bar" feel with plenty of screens to catch a game, but without all the obnoxious noise you usually find in those types of places. It was a really comfortable spot to just sit and eat. For starters we got their fried deviled eggs and bar queso spread. For our mains, we ended up trying one of the burgers from their huge selection and a Mediterranean salad creation. Whether it was a standard menu item or something a bit more customized, everything came out tasting fresh and full of flavor. Between the amazing food and the great service, I will definitely be making this a staple stop for any future trips through Pigeon Forge. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth checking out.

We stopped in for lunch at Local Goat on Tuesday, December 9, arriving close to 1 PM--and the place was packed. Clearly a local favorite, just as the name suggests. We split a chicken sandwich and fries, which turned out to be the perfect portion for lunch. I also grabbed a local IPA, which paired nicely with the meal. I'd absolutely love to swing back here. The beer list alone is impressive, and their whiskey selection is off the hook--I even spotted a couple of Pappy Van Winkle options, which is a rare sight anywhere. Local Goat makes everything from scratch, including the buns, and sources their ingredients from local producers in the area. Definitely check this place out. It has a great vibe, an extensive drink selection, and food options that can satisfy just about any palate.

10 out of 10! Ask for Tanna. She is the best. She recommended all the dishes we ordered and everything was delicious. Very busy restaurant. Make a reservation because it is worth it. Clean. Excellent service and food came out fast!

I might have been on vacation mode with no cares in the world but this place was fantastic! We did have to wait forever to be able to dine in since the place was packed and our server was was MIA for a bit, but, in her defense, place was ridiculously full. We were so hungry we order so many appetizers that by the time we got our main dishes, we were full. Goat cheesebis the theme so a couple had goat cheese in them, perfection. This not not deter us from digging in though. Most got hamburgers and all were so satisfying and amazing. One member got a chicken sandwich, and though it was not the worst, it was not the best either, pasta was also average. Nonetheless, I would definitely visit again if in the area.

Went back for the second time after a year and it still is just as good as a year ago! Went early on a Tuesday afternoon and had about 30 minute wait time! Our waiter Caleb was fast to get our drinks and his yummy recommendations! We started with the creamy spinach dip and I really think it was the best I ever had in my entire life! I had the Smokehouse burger with their fries which EVERYTHING is made from scratch even the ketchup! My boyfriend had the Teriyaki filet kabobs with fried rice and steamed broccoli! He also added a side of the pimento cheese grits and they were delicious!!!! My only regret is not getting a ketchup to go with my leftovers!!! Beautiful restaurant big windows and nice wooden tables! TVs in every room!

Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly and helpful service! Our waitress Layla was awesome! We highly recommend visiting this place! They have televisions and we were able to watch the Basketball tournament.

Chubby's Restaurant - Smash Burger!!

Chubby's Restaurant

(149 reviews)

Chubby's is a classic restaurant that offers American comfort food. The great dinner feel of the…read moreplace is an excellent representation of the bygone era of the traditional dinner. It has a real down home feel. The place offers burgers (Mushroom Swiss, BBQ Burger), sandwiches (Cheesesteaks, Reuben, BLT, Chicken Sandwiches with Ranch/Buffalo options), and hearty baskets with fried chicken, cod, or shrimp, plus breakfast served all day, desserts (chocolate pie!), and options like pork chops or steak. They have someone thing for everyone. Everything is cooked to ordered. We started off with deep fried deviled eggs. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff. While I had the House Smash Burger. The stroganoff is served in a wide, shallow bowl that showcases the sauce's glossy sheen and the generous scatter of sautéed mushrooms. Steam carries a rounded, savory bouquet: beef-forward notes, toasty browned butter, and the faint acid of a finishing touch -- likely a splash of vinegar, wine, or lemon -- that hints the sauce will be bright rather than cloying. The presentation is simple and effective: no unnecessary frills, just clear evidence that plate composition exists to showcase the food's strengths. The sauce is the star: a glossy, velvety emulsion built on a brown stock backbone, enriched with sour cream (or a light cultured cream), and tempered with mustard and a touch of acidity. The mushrooms are properly caramelized, offering an earthy counterpoint and slight chew that complements the tender beef. Onions are present but not intrusive; garlic and a whisper of thyme or parsley frame the dish without flattening the primary flavors. Chubby's pairs the stroganoff with broad egg noodles -- they're al dente-yielding and capture the sauce in their folds, which makes each mouthful a composed, layered bite rather than separate elements awkwardly forced together. The Smash Burger was an equal masterpiece as well. In an era when burgers can feel formulaic and predictable, the SMASH Triple Burger with Chubby Sauce at Chubby's Restaurant stands out not just as a meal, but as a culinary statement, mine was constructed of three thin-pressed beef patties -- each seared to achieve that iconic lace of caramelization -- deliver an intoxicating aroma of grilled beef that primes the palate for something special. The smash technique here isn't a gimmick; it's a masterstroke that intensifies the beef's flavor while maintaining juiciness through every layer, a testament to precise heat management on the griddle. The Chubby Sauce, a house specialty that earns its name with rich, tangy complexity, serves as the burger's soul. It marries creamy umami with a whisper of sweetness and a balanced acidity that cuts through the savory heft of the triple stack. This sauce is not merely a condiment -- it's the architectural glue that binds texture and taste, elevating each bite into a chorus of complementary notes. What makes this experience remarkable was how it balances bold indulgence with thoughtful restraint: the trio of patties makes a statement, yet the burger never feels overwhelmingly heavy. Each layer interacts harmoniously, and the Chubby Sauce is nothing short of inspired -- tangy yet creamy, bold yet nuanced. We topped it all off with pie. My wife had the peanut butter while I opted for the Apple pie was our desert. Dessert at Chubby's often arrives with the quiet confidence of a house specialty, and the both the Apple & Peanut Butter Pie is no exception. If you think you've had every version of apple pie, this one will surprise you. Chubby's Apple Pie is warm, comforting, and brilliantly balanced. The apples are tender and spiced just right, the crust is buttery and flaky. The peanut butter pie has a subtle, savory richness that keeps the dessert from being overly sweet. It's indulgent without being heavy and memorable in the best way. An absolute must-order if you save room for dessert. This was a great dining experience and in a tourist dominated area, this place stands out as real down home cooking that your grandmother made. Highly recommend, this is one the most stop sites if you are in the area.

Our server was friendly though there were a bunch of servers who stopped by our table overlooking the course of the night. All were pleasant, though our server asked us if we were there for a special event when we sat and we said no, then at the end of them meal he though it was my husband's birthday, but not in a "here a drink on the house" kind of way, just an awkward comment. I got the bone in pork chop which came on a serving shaved Brussel sprouts. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and very tender. Our server recommended we get a side, so we tried the truffle Mac and cheese, it was fine but not great-it was not all that cheesy though we could taste the truffle. I wouldn't recommend it. My husband's risotto with filet and mushrooms only had the scantest amount of filet and mushrooms though was very flavorful. When it arrived at our table it had sloshed all over the serving dish and the server said she was going to fix it it just went to the servers station (2 feet from us) and then came back a minute later-I'm not sure what exactly that fixed but the presentation certainly was not that of a dish that costs $50! I had the smoked Sazerac for my drink. It was nice and the cherry smoke imparted a great flavor though it's not supposed to be served with an ice cube. Additionally, the ice cube within was not clear or perfectly cubed. For a $22 cocktail, this was a miss in my book. I had the crème brûlée for dessert and they strangely put very wet strawberries on the brûlée. I only got a very small space that I could attempt to crack the brûlée. It tasted delicious, though the strawberries really should have been served on the side. Between courses, a bear walked up the river which was an exciting development. This restaurant is beautiful and perfectly situated on a scenic river.
