Look forward to coming back every year!! Loads of fun and learn horsemanship and responsibly as…read morewell as teamwork and social skills! Worth every penny! Totally safe and owned by kind hearted people. They let you into their home and treat you like their children! Rewarded with sweat treats and tons of fun crafts. You can be any level of rider and you will lead extremely quickly how to do anything you want to learn! You should try this camp! Everything to love!

Do not send your child to this "camp". There is no adult…read moresupervision, other than the lady who owns it. There is a small, dirty pool for the children to use daily, which has nothing to prevent accidentally falling in, no life saving equipment, and depth is unmarked. I cannot tell if the owner or any of the teenagers working for her are trained in lifesaving or first aid. The only restroom and changing room (one for both genders) for the children is in the owner's house, on the property. After my child's first day at the camp, I discussed with another parent, whose child was also in the camp (very close friends of ours), my concerns. The second day camp, my friend called the camp and spoke with the owner's teenaged daughter about our concerns. (this daughter keeps track of payments etc....not the adult owner)The daughter put my friend's mind at ease. 20 minutes later the owner called my cell phone several times in a row before I could get to it. Seeing that it was the horse camp I panicked, thinking something had happened to my child. I called her back. She said, "First of all, have you paid?" (I paid my deposit and tried to pay her the first day with debit...to which she said to pay her cash....hmmmmm...anyway we discussed the payment and I was to give her a check on the second day when I picked up my child) I asked if my child was ok. She was. She accused me of trying not to pay. Then...."and secondly, so and so's mom just called. Do you have a problem?" In a very aggressive way, she accused me of going behind her back and talking about the place to my friend and other parents. At my friend's advice, I called owner back because she wanted to "start over". She apologized and went on and on about crazy stuff....talking so fast I could hardly understand her. I just listened. Then she started talking about my payment and said that she was upset because we had no communication about payment. At this point I finally spoke. I told her she would get her f-ing check.....then she cut me off and told me to come get my f-ing kid. 10 minutes later, while I am on my way, she called again to tell me to come get my kid and hung up on me. At this point I called my husband who was closer to the place than I was and certainly not as pissed off as I was, to go get her. 10 minutes after that she called me again to know when I was coming to get my kid. At this point I was being a smart ass and told her that we would get there when we got there. Then she asked me if I was mentally ill and repeatedly, like a chant, told that I needed medicine. I had to interrupt her chanting to ask her what time she would like me to tell the police to come to uninsured, unlicensed business. The first day I had ever spoken to that woman my gut instinct told me something was very off. In addition, my child was stung by a wasp on that 2nd day and none from the camp even told me.

Headed to a Smokies game, we chose to stop into SmashCity for a pregame burger…read more The service and burger came up quickly. I opted for the truffle smash and large fry. My buddy opted for the Spicy Smash. The burgers were mmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm great, Juicy and the bun held up. Fries were fresh and would like to see maybe a topping or poutine option for them. Cool spot to get some AC and great burger before a Smokies game or a night in the old City.

We already had 250 miles under our belt for the day. 4 more hours to home. I was sick of fast food…read moreand we were making good time so we decided to venture off the road, but just a little. SmashCity wasn't far off of the interstate, it had good ratings and although we'd been eating burgers and fries quite a bit on this roadtrip, a good burger and fries really sounded good. All of the reviews were right on - this was absolutely NOT fast food - it was fast, really fast, but the speed was just bonus. As we usually do, we split. We chose the Carolina BBQ smash. The burgers were juicy - if you're not careful, I guarantee you'll be wearing it. Two critiques, it definitely needed more sauce - I just added some of the SmashCity sauce from our fries and it worked but I really would have liked to have had more BBQ sauce. Second, the fried onions were quite burned. I pulled off most of them. The hand cut fries were piping hot, just the right amount of greasy and seasoned perfectly. Splitting the burger was a good call - I'd never have eaten the whole thing myself. The burger and fries were just over $20. When you consider a Big Mac meal at that clown place is $14, SmashCity is almost a bargain. Paul, the owner was like the energizer bunny - he was everywhere at once. Personality oozed from his pores. Make sure you tell him Sue said hi! (He won't remember me but just say hi anyway!) Now I wouldn't say SmashCity has the best burgers - that award goes to our friend Jerry. He makes a pretty mean smash burger on the blackstone. If you have an extra half hour, skip the fast food burger joints, get off that highway, and go let Paul fill your belly for the rest of your trip! You'll appreciate it!
