The bartender refused service because we arrived around the same time that some random person supposedly fell in their parking lot. It had nothing to do with us, but it significantly impacted our experience. As a restaurant manager, I took this experience very seriously, and will actively drive business elsewhere. Place has good blues bands, not very big so fills up pretty fast and hard to find a table. Got some late night food. Came burnt and bartender gave a hard time taking it back. I ate it anyways but the chicken was over cooked. read more

5 stars for unexpectedly great bar food and good music, but knocking one down for pretty nice but uneven service. We rolled in after 11:00pm after spending 3 hrs. in the Blount Memorial hospital waiting room and were starving and not very optimistic. Actually, we tried Next Door first, but the cigarette smoke was thick inside there. No smoking at Brackins...next door. But I digress. After we eventually flagged down a bartender, we each ordered a cheeseburger - mine with fried okra, his with fries. Both ordered medium well out of caution... We were amazed when the plates arrived with juicy, well-seasoned burgers topped with fresh LTO, hot sides. Buttered, toasted buns. In a bar! Wow. Delicious and cooked correctly. We had to procure our own napkins...and condiments...but...the food! Holy #&$€. Hubby doubled down and ordered fried mushrooms. Yup. Verdict: "Oh yeah, legit." That kind of good. Server's and Bar Tenders are weak at best. Rude and if your on the deck they will come out and smoke couple of cigarettes. But will not go out of there way to ask if you would like a drink . So juicy, tender, fried to a perfect crisp, I feel sad that my memory is already fading. There was also was a good blues band (complete with sax), outdoor seating and a relaxed, friendly vibe. This place had great wings and beers. Too bad I wasn't there when they had live music but maybe next time. Also got the fried okra, which was on point. Great place. Played here with my band. They treated us very well - good Pay and food and drinks. The food was excellent, but I have to knock off a star because there was nothing green on the menu! We had Smoker Sampler platters with ribs and pulled Pork, all very delicious. They have a great variety of sandwiches and sides - the fried pickles were delicious (but the healthiest thing on the menu). Serving Coleslaw with the BBQ would inspire 5 Stars I think. read more

Sing it with me... "I love this bar." I do, I love this bar. Dark and smoky with great live music, how could you not? Dive bar feel with awesome beer (Laguanitas, Chimay, Estrella Daura for those of us that are GF), it rocks. Parking is in a pretty well lit lot just down the block or in the not at all lit lot right behind the bar. Outdoor seating available if you don't mind sitting in pretty much darkness, which I don't. If you don't like a smoky environment you may want to look elsewhere, as everyone here smokes. Pool tables and darts are available, and I hear the food is pretty darn good. Everything is affordable, service is good, and being able to see great live music without a cover makes this a 5 star for me. read more

Ah, the local watering hole. Being a graduate of Maryville College I spent many a night here. Great blues atmosphere, sports on tv, strong drinks, fair prices, darts, cornhole, and outdoor patio all combine for a good time. This place is one of my all time favorite bars. read more

Dive bar with cornhole in the back and cider in the cooler! They don't do food on Sunday, but we happened to catch the monthly trivia night which was 90s themed and silly. For us it was a good place to hang out when in Maryville. read more
