This is the best place to go skydiving ever! From the time you arrive to the time you get on the plane, everybody treats you like your family. There are no hidden fees. They do have restrooms in good clean working condition.The gear was all in good condition...(clearly if I'm leaving a review) the instructors are very clear on what to expect they review things numerous times and when you're nervous, you need it. Today we had the pleasure of jumping with Joel, Jason and Rob. These boys are absolutely amazing this place is a 10/10!!! They have 1 rule which is to have FUN!!! Just remember you only live once don't wait until you can't and wish you had

This is the best place to learn to skydive! I did my first tandem with Jason Allison who made it fun and took great care to make sure I had a blast! I decided to get my license here because I knew I would get Individual attention from highly trained instructors with a huge emphasis on safety, and excellent management. Jon "JB" Butcher was my primary instructor, he taught me all the things I needed to know to be successful, reassured me after my failures, and encouraged me to grow in the sport. Now we're fun jumping together most weekends and it's awesome!! they have a bunch of rental rigs, a fun jumpers loft, student room, nice packing area, and a huge play yard for spectators and for entertainment while you're waiting out the weather! Year-round jumping being in Arizona, great community and family like atmosphere! I love spending all my spare time here. They even have a bunk house where you can stay in case you drove a long way and you wanna be there all weekend or across multiple days while you do your trainings.

Joel was such an amazing person to do my first jump with. The jump did what 10 years of therapy couldn't do for me. I can't recommend this place or people enough. Such an amazing experience. Really good photos and videos for memories as well.

Such a scary and fun experience, my first time skydiving. We got there around 9.30am to check in, signed a few forms, we were given instructions a few times just to go over the whole proved, we jumped around 11am. I had second thoughts when I was in the airplane since I had to jump first but my instructor Brad was so awesome and comforting. We jumped 13,000 feet height with a 45 second free fall. I paid extra $100 and something for outside video. I couldn't have a better instructor for a first time jumping. The landing was smooth and easy. Definitely a memorable experience! The whole crew was really awesome.

Fun experience! The whole process was easy and went very smoothly - our reservation was at 11:00 am, got there around 10:30 am, filled out paperwork, got weighed, the instructor explained the step by step in detail to ensure that I was comfortable. Got on the airplane by 11:30 am and overall had an awesome time. Thank you Jaime, Joey and George for making my 3rd jump so memorable. I had the videos and photos emailed to me right away later that afternoon. I highly recommend Skydive Phoenix!

What an amazing experience, 10 out of 10, would recommend to anyone on the fence about going skydiving!! It was my first time skydiving. I did a tandem jump with my instructor, Jay. Jay was super informative and made sure I knew exactly what to do every step of the way. He made me feel so safe and secure! Extremely professional and would answer every question I had. I purchased a Groupon but the customer experience and value is worth so much more. I would 100% reccomend doing the slightly higher jump. The free fall is longer and totally worth it! Awesome staff and plenty of places to hang around while waiting to go. Clean bathrooms, water available, and a cute dog that wanders around. Really thankful that the staff opened up on a day they are normally closed to get us up before leaving the state since our original day was too windy. A great experience and Chris, who jumped with me, made it more fun and relaxed. read more

This was the 1st time jumping ever and we had the best experience! Everyone was so friendly and made the entire time very enjoyable. I don't think I stopped laughing or smiling the entire time. Joel was an amazing person to be pair up with for our tandem jump and wouldn't want anyone else. He literally made it so fun that I wasn't even that nervous! So today, I decided to complete another bucket list item. So, naturally I thought what sound amazing and will get my adrenaline rushing? Oh yeah, skydiving!!! When I arrived to Skydive Phoenix, I was greeted and instantly felt comfortable. My instructor Dustin and Videographer Alex were amazing. They laughed made jokes and most importantly made me not worry about jumping out of a plane. Once in plane it was an easy ride to the top. Once the door open I thought to my self this is amazing. The free fall was like no other and the views breathtaking. I truly had the best ride of my life. I would highly recommend coming and taking the jump with Skydive Phoenix. I promise you it won't disappoint and you will love every minute. read more

I can not recommend this place enough.. I had to reschedule twice due to some scheduling issues, and they were SO accommodating and willing to help fit me in. Everything went smoothly from the minute I got there. The desk help was great and got everything set up and scheduled. There was no pressure for an upgrade or photo package, but I DEFINITELY recommend both (do the 13,000 ft drop..serious..go big or go home). Chris was my instructor and tandem, and he was awesome!! He was great explaining everything and making everyone feel comfortable. You can absolutely tell he loves what he does, and wants you to love it, too! Everyone was so friendly and seemed genuinely excited to show everyone the ropes and reigns.. I received my video the next morning, and Andee did a great job recreating the experience to watch over and over.. coolest experience EVER! read more

My husband and I jumped for the first time yesterday and Jason & Brad were our tandem instructors... they were both INCREDIBLE!!!! So patient, kind, knowledgeable, funny, and all-around great dudes!! Joel was amazing! Because of Joel, I could not have had a better time. He really helped me calm my nerves and talked me through the entire experience. It definitely makes a person feel at ease when someone with experience answers every question and reassures everything. Checking in was easy and smooth. It wasn't crowded or hectic at any point. All of their staff members were extremely friendly and welcoming. I'm glad I went with this company. They were awesome! They're lucky to have such great instructors! I highly recommend everyone try skydiving and when you do, you need to do it at Skydive Phoenix! All the staff were so kind and easy to be around! Adam was my instructor and he was absolutely amazing! He explained every step of the process and was so present! Highly highly recommend!!!!! Also, if you are contemplating getting a video, do it!!! My sister and I got the premium package and had Stacy and Casey filing our experience. They were so kind and did an amazing job of filming the whole process! They included us in each other's videos and shared the videos and lots of photos in less than 24 hours! read more

In response to Skydive Phoenix: To clarify, Skydive Phoenix did not issue me a refund. I had to go through the dispute process with Groupon and I eventually received a credit back to my Groupon account, once they determined that I did not receive the service I paid for. I did not receive an actual refund, as I can only use it for other Groupon purchases. As I mentioned earlier, the weather is not the problem; it's your policy around refunds. Good customer service would involve happily doling out refunds when someone's jump was canceled. It is useless to allow someone to reschedule, when they live out of state. read more

First time jumping. J was a great instructor and explained the process step by step several times. I wasn't even nervous. The free fall is the coolest feeling in the world. The office staff were very nice. I had a friend that was supposed to jump with me but cancelled. I didn't get a refund (I didn't really ask since the website said no refunds) but they gave me a gift certificate so I can use the jump some time in the next year. read more

Stellar experience and Chris my tandem guy awesome! Thank you to the camera guy (who I forgot his name), but went above and beyond to share some immediate photos with us! Great experience and it's worth upgrading to the higher altitude for the free fall experience! That's why we Sky Dive right?!?! This was my second jump, first with this company and it was so much more than my first, only because I knew what to expect. There was no waiting, other than the standard video and paperwork process. The weather was great and they did take our party up at the same time to jump together. The landing was smooth and the free fall was awesome. (The pilot...a bit crazy fun) LoL I highly recommend this company to offer a Bluetooth/airdrop option for apple customers since their computers are Mac. There wouldn't be a wait for the videos and pics to be mailed. It would save on cost since it's free to airdrop LoL read more

Customer service was bland. Didn't really give much info except verifying my credit card info. Instructor Sam was a character. Everyone there seemed to be the typical I know it all smart ass. Jump was the basic 30 sec free fall. I guess this so call know it all didn't strap me into my gear correctly since I received a pretty gnarly bruise on my whole thigh. I enjoyed my free fall, the landing however was quite painful. Tumbling to the ground was not what I expected when landing. All in all, facility was very bland...I guess that's expected when the people living there are inbred hicks. Oh, thanks for mailing me a blank DVD of my jump. Really appreciate that. 1 star. We arrived around 7am and we were out of there in less than 1 hour. This is the craziest thing i've done. I have to admit it, it is pretty scary getting into a small plane in the middle of the desert. Once you are on the plane you ask yourself what the hell you are doing there lol. When they open the airplane door, you realize you are jumping off an airplane at 13,000 ft , and the only way out is trough that door. I cried, and i wouldnt do it again; but i dont regret doing it. The staff is the best; my friends and i jumped with mike, todd, and rob and they were amazing. This should be in everyone's bucket list. Its an amazing experience. read more

It's probably been less than 20 minutes since the jump, and we are at Barros Pizza trying to order food, with the ability to think let alone speak rather difficult. This was our first jump and all that comes to mind is whoa wow omg! Skydive Phoenix was an awesome experience. Our. "jump guides/instructors" were Mike and Josh. From the time we were greeted until we drove off in the car we felt like valued and important people. We used a GROUPON which gave us a great value including video of the jump. Both Glenn and I recommend this establishment and the entire staff. Tandem sky diving is a life experience not to be missed. read more

My instructor was Chris and our camera guy was Max. They made this experience so easy to go through and painless!! After a horrific experience at skydive Arizona, I was pretty reluctant to go to any other drop zone, having walked out on my skydive before it even began but Skydive Phoenix made my entire skydiving experience incredible from the beginning! Skydive Phoenix completely changed my mind about the sport. I initially went there as a graduation gift and had the most incredible time with Chris. He made me feel safe, secure and so comfortable. I went a second time to take a friend for her birthday and that was even better. We both got the outside video and it was the best decision we could have ever made. We had cameras on us the whole time, capturing our ENTIRE experience, not just the jump. Once again, I went with Chris and it was nothing short of incredible. I have now returned to learn how to become a solo skydiver and it has been wonderful. The entire team takes time to give me advice, pointers and cheer me on. Chris is also my AFF instructor, and totally awesome! He is there every step of the way and makes sure that I am comfortable and ready to go! Another instructor who has been really helpful is Jason! He is always in an incredibly positive mood, always cheering me and other students on, being tremendously helpful and ALWAYS smiling! I would HIGHLY recommend Skydive Phoenix for any tandem experience, or to become a licensed skydiver! Definitely request Chris as your tandem instructor, you WILL NOT be disappointed! read more

For my 28th birthday I visited Phoenix, AZ and did my second tandem jump with the amazing people at Skydive Phoenix. When we arrived we were greeted with enthusiasm and care. Myself and two of my friends booked our skydive using Groupon because it was cheaper ($140 total). When checking in for our jump we were told that the Groupon allowed us to jump from about less than 10k feet from the ground. For $50 more we could jump from 14k feet. We chose to pay the additional money for a higher jump but just thought this was worth mentioning because we weren't aware that the groupon didn't guarantee a high jump. We drove to the location from Downtown PHX and it was about a 45-50 minute drive, not bad at all. Our team was super fun, very knowledgeable and prioritized safety very well. I felt as though this Skydive Phoenix prepared more for my safety than the other skydive company I did my first jump with (a different company in a different state). All in all, our experience was amazing, 10/10 recommend! Lastly, always tip your jumpers ;) read more

Had the best experience with Skydive Phoenix! It was our first time and they made us feel very safe and excited. They talked us through everything and the instructors were extremely kind and motivating! The facility is awhile away from Phoenix, which is a good feeling for safety and an open sky. My last jump was my 3rd and I can say it was likely my best jump yet. I took my daughter for her 18th birthday and we both had a great time. Without a doubt, Skydive Phoenix has the best "jump-masters" (I don't know what else you would call the guy on your back) and a very smooth operation. All their employees are very professional, and many are ex-military SF with more jumps than I could dream of. My daughter jumped with Joel Theriot and he was great at easing any nerves, super upbeat and he made this jump for her a very fun experience. I jumped with Fred, who was also just as fun. I want to add that last year when I jumped for my son's 18th B-day, at that time I jumped with Dan OToole and he too made my jump an extremely memorable experience. For Skydive Phoenix to attract such incredible employees, I am confident they are running the best and most outstanding operation within 500 miles (or more). See you next year from my youngest son's 18th B-day. read more

I want to just start this review off by saying that this company is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever come across. The only reason why I give them one star is because our instructors were pretty cool and it was our first time skydiving. However, I ended up finding this company on Groupon and booking a time to go skydiving not knowing the terrible reviews this place has. The story goes that I went skydiving to propose to my girlfriend and I wanted to do it via skydiving using this company. When we first got there the staff was very friendly and the instructors were professional, at first, but when we started to get instructed on what to do when we jumped they rushed through all of the instructions leaving my fiancé and I pretty FREAKED OUT to jump. Once my fiancé and I jumped out of the plane and I proposed to her on the ground, she said yes, we then waited for our videos to be produced so we could get them the same day and they said they had a power outage, kinda freaky at a skydiving place if you ask me, so they said they would send our videos in the mail and we could get them in next 3 days. I remember checking my mail for the first week and receiving nothing. A couple weeks went by and we still didn't receive our videos I paid $160 for, or even receiving a phone call from the company apologizing for the inconvenience. Continue reading this it gets WORSE. I then called the company back and the front desk guy said that he would try to check the records and see why we didn't receive our videos, and then he told me he would call me back the next day. The next day rolled around and didn't receive a phone call or anything that day or week. I ended up calling back a week later complaining about why we didn't receive my videos I purchased. I ended up receiving a digital copy in my email from the dude that checked why my videos weren't sent to me only to realize that I couldn't download the two files just one of them, not to mention that one of the videos weren't even ours it was someone else's. I then called the company back telling them these things and they tried looking for my fiancé's video telling me that they may have lost her video, or it could be on one of the instructors Go Pros still which we haven't received yet. It's been about a month and we haven't received our videos that we purchased. For whoever reads this review I would not recommend this place to anyone because of the lying and unprofessional service they offer. They pretty much ruined half of my marriage proposal with not giving us the videos of the proposal and the crappy quality of the video that I noticed on mine. FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO SKYDIVE! ALSO, DON'T PLAN ON PROPOSING TO ANYONE HERE BECAUSE THEY'LL MESS HALF OF IT UP! read more

A morning of high flying action!…read more Where to begin?! So travelled down to Maricopa on a Groupon. Not really sure what to expect as you pull up to a small hanger near the local airfield. Started small talk with the other people waiting until our instructor Mo showed up. First thing out of his van was beautiful happy golden retriever named Rosa. She just helped set the mood for the rest of the morning. Mo was very friendly and informative. He was very quick with getting all the paperwork out of the way so we could get straight to the action. So easy to sign your life away on a waiver, right?! Continued out to the airstrip to watch Mo get all the equipment set as we sat around with intros and watching Rosa's energy. Quick set of safety instructions and the first person strapped in and was off the ground in minutes. Not that a dog should be the highlight of the flying experience, but Rosa was so excited to watch help set up and chase you down the airstrip. I would say she made the entire experience 30% better. Everyone walked away extremely elated with the experience. Mo was very professional and just a fun overall person to be around. We ended up tipping to basically make up the difference of the discounted Groupon. Well worth the full price of the ride. You show up for you time slot and fill out your paperwork online outside in a covered area. The office staff brings you the paperwork for your signatures, you bring the completed docs inside and pay. If you buy pics you meet your photographer.. like paparazzi you get your own!! Then your tandem partner gets you into your harness and goes through the basics an answer want questions and then you wait. Wes was my tandem partner and he was awesome! Before you know it you're jumping on a trailer that takes you to the plane .. you jump in with your tandem partner ..climb to 13,000 feet and then you're in the sky flying high above Eloy .. you turn to one side and see Phoenix .. mountains .. blue skies .. it's peaceful and amazing Your landing is pretty easy knees up and then extend them .. your tandem partner will tell you when and what you're doing .. you slide on your butt across the grass (how are there no grass stains though.. huh!!) .. We did a sunrise hot air balloon ride, so we had to be up at 5am, and leave before 6am because it's about a 30 min ride from Phoenix. When you arrive, you register in and then they will assign you a hot air balloon pilot. Once everything is ready to go, each pilot will call out their own name for guests assigned to them to follow them to a van. Each van then takes each group to a place that's about maybe 20 min away to a different location to where they set up the air balloons to take off. Each pilot will go over key things to be aware off and how to enter into the cabin of the hot air balloon. There's plenty of time allotted to take pictures (lots of people dressed up so they could get cute photos with the hot air balloons as a backdrop), but keep in mind it's so cold early in the morning so you may want to bring a light jacket. After the ride, the pilot cracks open a bottle of champagne and juices so we can toast to an amazing ride. This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it if you can (and for those afraid of heights, I promise the ride itself is smoother than riding a plane, it's the most slow and steady ride you can experience!).

One other issue is that I had paid for the video and pictures but I did not see it in the email. I called 3 days later to inquire and the person promised to fix it right away. In their defense I had made the reservation for Saturday so that could have caused the issue. The fact that he got the video and pictures out right away was fantastic. Also the videos were extremely good quality and better than our 2 phones. The instructor made sure of it because he positioned my grandson in front of their camera which made a big difference. He also positioned him in front of my wife since he saw her taking videos. Obviously I can't say enough good things about them. Well worth the money.

Needless to say, I left happy before I even hit the water. The surf lagoon is the obvious star of the show. Having waves crash onto a white sandy beach is a pretty awesome experience, especially here in Arizona. There were plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shaded areas, so it never felt like we were fighting for space. The diving pool was another pleasant surprise. There are multiple platforms to jump from, and the lifeguards allow enough freedom to have fun without making the experience feel overly restrictive. If you're feeling adventurous, they also offer body surfing and surf lessons. The amenities were solid as well. The bathrooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of changing rooms and stalls. Lockers are available to rent, which is a nice convenience if you're bringing the family. We also grabbed food while we were there. No, it isn't five-star dining, but that's not why you're here. More importantly, it was genuinely better than I expected for a water park. What impressed me most was the overall atmosphere. It was energetic without feeling chaotic. My family had an absolute blast, but somehow the park still managed to feel relaxing and comfortable--something I can't say about many water parks. We'll definitely be back.

My wife jumped for her 30th on the 31st of March. The jump went well, her tandem partner was professional and knowledgeable. Her tandem partner should find a better company to work for. That is where the compliments will end. I have nothing against chain smoking, swearing, tattoed individuals. I think everyone has the right to smoke, swear and tattoo to their hearts content but hanging out with the group at Skydive Phoenix was like hanging out at a thrill seekers prison. Apart from my wife's tandem partner no-one working at this location was professional in anyway. A bunch of chain swearing, chain smoking kids and 30 year olds that wanted to still be kids. When we showed up for the jump that she had already scheduled they acted like we weren't supposed to be there. Perhaps we were taking space in the airplane that the employees wanted to use for a free jump? There was a pitbull in the yard where you wait under a canopy. That would have been ok, it was hyper but nice to the humans, problem was I had my dog with me. I picked up my dog and held it after the pit started pushing it around. That didn't stop anything. It kept jumping and biting my dog. A staff member put it into the trailer three times but it kept getting out, running at my dog (15lb lhasa apso) and biting at it. As my wife was loading on the plane the dog escaped from the trailer for the third time and ran right for my dog. I asked an employee, named Cody, to put the dog back in the trailer. This was the interaction. Me (at this point holding my dog with the pitbull jumping up on me) : Could you please put this dog back in the trailer? Cody: Bones (the dog) lives here Me: I understand, but it is jumping at me and biting my dog. Will you please put it away until we leave for the landing site in 10 minutes? Cody: No At this point I was shocked... Me: Did you hear me? Your pitt is biting my dog. Please put it away. Cody: You should put your dog in your car It was probably close to 95 degrees and he wants me to put my dog in my car instead of putting their pittbull into the air conditioned trailer! Me: What is your name? Cody: Cody Me: Cody, I am a customer paying $300 for my wife to jump and get a video. You have a pitt bull puppy attacking my dog and you are telling me you will not put it away? Cody: No (he turns away from me, ending the conversation and boards the plane with my wife) Cody's antics on the ground wern't the only thing to complain about. My wife says that on the flight to the drop zone one of the two employees that were with her taking a jump on their break (Cody was one of the two) passed gas that was so profane that she almost vomited. This might not sound real except... The plane was ancient. It seriously looked like something out of an Indiana Jones movie. It was an extremely small cabin and packed with just my wife and three other men sitting knee to knee. My wife said that the plane ride up was more scary than the actual jump. Overall this place has the appearance of a skydiving company owner by an absentee owner who has no idea how bad his employees are screwing up his business. I would recommend some serious training for his employees, not on jumping, but on customer interactions. Also, someone should take Bones home to live with them, having a pitt that is not being trained living on the property is a lawsuit just waiting to happen. For heavens sake don't put the dog down, just take it away from the business until it has been trained. That and tell Cody that... well perhaps to find a new job? read more

I wouldn't recommend going with this skydiving company. There are most likely better options in the Phoenix area. The front desk manager was very aggressive and argumentative at times. He said he would honor the Groupon price and then overcharged me. When I attempted to get it corrected his response was that he couldn't because "It would cost the company the processing fees". They are not interested in the overall satisfaction of the customer. My instructor was very patronizing about any of my questions. He had a thick Russian accent and so at times I wasn't clear about what he was saying. When I would ask him a question or to repeat what he had said he would say I wasn't listening. My husband and I took our 3-year-old son and my mom with us to hang out while we waited. At first, my son loved it! There was a lot of open space to play and run around. Well, when it came time to go board the plane my mom and my son walked over to where they could watch the plane take off. My mom doubled back to where our stuff was to grab something and I was called over to have my gear reinspected. Because my mom had doubled back without my son my son came over towards me. When my son approached me, my instructor literally screamed at him. It scared him so bad that he ran away crying. I had to send my husband over to him because he was terrified. Leading up to getting on the plane they have you watch a video that informs you about all the risks associated with skydiving and they make it clear that you are risking your life by doing so. They have you sign a bunch of legal documents that say your heirs cannot sue them if you die. I felt it was completely inappropriate to create such a hostile environment between a family right before you board a plane to take on such risks. It created unneeded stress and anxiety that didn't need to be a part of the experience. After the dive, I went to speak with the front desk manager and he told me that it was poor parenting because we "should have known" that family wasn't allowed over there. He also said that the signs that would have informed us of that were covered up so there was no way for us to know that we were doing anything wrong. When my son approached me we were nowhere near the airplane, we were in a covered waiting area away from the plane and there was no signage or communication as to what the rules were. I told him that I was all for keeping any rules that would keep my family and me safe, but that it's impossible to keep rules that I'm not informed about. I would definitely recommend skydiving I just wouldn't recommend this company. They made a supposed-to-be awesome time into a disaster. read more

I used Skydive Phoenix for my first ever jump (tandem) whilst on vacation in Arizona from the UK, i had a great time. I found the whole process from the initial booking to the jump itself professional. Stuart did the tandem jump with me, he is ex Australian military and explained how the jump would work in a clear, customer focused manner. They wanted me the customer to have a great experience, they answerd any questions i had and kept the whole experience fun. They kept saying any concerns, questions etc just say. I felt really comfortable which to me was important as I had never done a jump before. I can not rate this company highly enough, I read some of the other reviews on this site and wonder if they are talking about the same company. Everybody I dealt with was great, The jump was amazing, fantastic views of Phoenix and the Sonoran It is really worth doing. I got the DVD/photos which are fantastic, worth getting if doing a jump. If you want an amazing Arizona experience with a company that looks after you and makes the whole experience fun and safe then I can not recommend Skydive Phoenix highly enough. I was staying in Scottsdale and they are real close to the city in Maricopa so easy to get to. A fantastic experience, can not rate highly enough! read more

Friend and I had a really enjoyable time while we were there. Staff was friendly and the jump was great. We were however, told over the phone we would receive a discount since we were jumping with three people. I'm not sure why would be told we would get a discount if this isn't the norm. I confirmed with the girl on the phone that if our friend wasn't able to make it, we would still receive the discount and she said yes. The person over the phone was very unclear about the pricing and when we paid the day of the jump, we thought we paid the right amount. I called a few days later when I realized that the price wasn't matching up to what we originally thought. The lady over the phone was incredibly rude. I called later that day and was put on "hold", only to be hung up on a minute later. I waited a few minutes thinking it was a mistake and called back and was sent to voicemail after a few rings. I then sent an email that was ignored. We finally got in contact with one of the staff members we had met and he said he would honor the discount. Over three weeks later and we have not been refunded. I am not normally a person to write reviews but feel as though we were taken advantage of and were told false information. read more

I am deathly afraid of planes...they scare the crap out of me so when a friend asked me to go sky diving I jumped at the chance (after all you only live once). The whole experience was awesome. They staff were great. We had a reservation which was nice and we didn't have to wait long to get up off of the ground. The ladies at the desk were rather fun & entertaining and made the videos less painful. There was 8 of us jumping so we split into 2 groups. My tandem partner was Fred. Not only was he explaining everything to me moment by moment, I was made to feel at ease and it was way cool (and rather cute). I wasn't nervous at all and being the first in my group to go, the initial going out of the plane was a breeze (given I was pushed out so not much of a choice). The free fall was for a minute and you literally feel like you are flying. Once the chute was pulled it was smooth sailing for several minutes which I got to steer. The only scary part was when Fred loosened me but that was horrible either. The landing was amazing (we made it to the grass). I so want to do it again I had such a great time. Only down side is having to wait a couple of weeks for the pictures and video but that isn't a bad thing. read more

What can I say; I'm addicted! I've done several tandems at Skydive Phoenix and have had an amazing experience each time! I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't get enough. They just moved to a new location which is a lot nicer. You can watch the jumpers come in as you wait your turn. I've got to know the staff a little better as I just did my third tandem. Everyone I've encountered has been super nice and witty! They love to crack jokes which is nice when your nervous about the jump. As noted I've now jumped 3 times and my first jump was back in June through Groupons. I didn't have a bad experience but they did tell me how overwhelmed they became with the responses of Groupons. It took some adjusting and they actually don't run that ad anymore. They rather be able to give each customer that fun personal experience they're looking for. I read some bad reviews and it dates back to the Groupon dates and I'm telling you, this place is well worth giving a try. I know I'll be back! read more

A friend of ours is working on his skydiving certifications and, somehow, someway, talked us into joining him for a jump. We drove out from near Blythe, CA to the drop zone near Gila, AZ and called to schedule our jump enroute before Skydive Phoenix even officially opened. The staff was very accommodating and ensured we were scheduled and taken care of. This was my and my wife's first jump and our instructors were "China" and Luis, respectively. Both instructors were extremely knowledgeable and made us feel very comfortable with the process and the "need-to-knows" of jumping. Luis managed the handcam during my wife's jump and the footage turned out fantastic. An experience of a lifetime that I would readily recommend to anyone. Skydive Phoenix will take care of you and ensure your first jump is an experience you will never forget!!! read more

Holy. Fucking. Shit. This was the most exhilarating, life changing, amazing thing I have ever done. I was completely unaware my life was missing this until one day, it was thrust upon me. Do not wait until you are checking things off of your bucket list, as this was something else. I felt like I was making gravity my bitch. If you are nervous, great, be nervous. Embrace that feeling because this is something you will never regret doing. My tandem diver, Danny, was literally the greatest human to be there with me during this serious , life changing event. And Haley was also great (My videographer). The both of them made me feel so at ease and made it known that I would not regret one second of this. If you are contemplating going, this is your sign. I took my co-worker skydiving for her birthday with a group of 4. We chose this company because they told us we could jump as a group, which was important to us. When we got there they told us they only had 3 instructors so we couldn't jump together, which was very disapointing. They also booked another group of 4 to show up at the same time, so we had to sit there for over 2 hours doing nothing while the other group jumpet first. That being said, once we finaly got around to it the actual experience was good. The instructors were friendly and confident. We went up with a group of expierenced jumpers in the larger plane and that was a very fun experience. I'm not sure I would recoment the smaller plane space on it seemed very tight when jumping tandem. read more

Even though at first sight the place might not look like much, well... sorry to disappoint you, the services (mainly customer service) are only about twenty times worse than what the place looks like (which again......... isn't much... and that's a compliment). However I would definitely like to point out the positives, the second trailer next to the main office is excellent; the toilet is exquisite even though it doesn't even flush (still does a better job than anybody that has the dignity to work under the disrespectful and cowardly manager that runs this place). Since you have a lot of options for skydiving around the phoenix area, don't let the groupon deal fool you into coming here, because anything else is better. read more

I've been fun jumping at Skydive Phoenix, and every visit has been an absolute blast! The staff here is top-notch--super professional, friendly, and always making sure everyone has a great experience. The vibe is relaxed yet well-organized, making it a perfect drop zone for both experienced jumpers and newcomers. Big shoutout to Figz in the office--dude is hilarious and keeps things fun while running things smoothly. The facilities are great, the planes are well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere makes for an awesome time in the sky. I went skydiving here with my brother and it was pretty nice. I was annoyed that after making my reservation and confirming it over the phone, when I got there, I was apparently not on the schedule. Waited longer than I thought, but skydiving was fun. I could tell that the instructors do this way too often, they go from super exited when they have their camera on to kind of bored when it is off. I'm glad they make the video great, but I would have liked them to talk more during the trip up. It was quiet aside from my brother and I asking a few questions. read more

It's simple, since you have other options around the phoenix area, why go to the one with the lowest rating on yelp (for good reason), the most incompetent workers, the rudest and most useless customer service, and most importantly, the crappiest pilot/manager/owner who prefers to use his precious time duck-taping his poor excuse of a plane rather than speak with the customers when they have a legitimate complaint. I just can't wait for the day they run out of business. God knows I won't feel sorry for any of them. read more

I have to say I was so excited to go skydiving for the first time until I showed up at this establishment. I walked in and between the smell and the uncleanliness I almost didn't even jump. The equipment looked outdated and was sitting in a pile in the corner. I met the owner and I couldn't believe how rude he was considering I was paying a lot of money to his establishment. Don't even get me started on the condition of the plane. STAY AWAY FROM HERE. There are much better jump sites out there. read more

Had a great time during my first skydive with my girlfriend at Skydive Phoenix. Great price using Groupon. My instructor was Brian and my girlfriends instructor was Jason. Steve was the skydiver that filmed me. All three guys were great. Kept us very comfortable and reassured the whole time. What a great experience. Will not be the last time I jump. If you're looking for an experience of a lifetime, look these guys up. I see some other reviews that don't agree but that wasn't my experience. read more

I sure have a lot of respect for veterans. For the manager/pilot of this place on the other hand... I have absolutely none. His employees are terrified of him, yet he is terrified of is his customers. A joke of a "man" running a joke of a place. My advice, go on a blimp ride if the other skydiving places are fully booked. It sure will be worth your money compared to Skydive Phoenix's manager cr*pping all over you and your wallet. read more

Best experience I've ever had. The most professional and knowledgeable staff as well. Being my first time skydiving I wasn't sure what to expect or how scared I would be due to my fear of heights.
