Took my wife here the other day for her 70th birthday. Was she too old? Nah!! The people here are extremely professional and safety conscious. The instructor guided her very carefully for the full time she was in the wind tunnel. She has memories for a lifetime. The facility is very well organized, the bathrooms were neat and clean. She loved every second of it and can't wait to go back. All of the staff we encountered was incredibly friendly. It was a cold morning so the air in the tunnel was freezing. We had a wonderful experience at SkyVenture. The office staff were so friendly and handed out stickers to my kids. When my kid looked a little nervous, the lady at a front desk also went inside to get a picture of another toddler that did skydiving recently and encouraged her that its going to be fun. When we went up the steps to the skydiving chamber, Zach met up wth us and he was super friendly and answered all the questions the kids had. What a great experience! My son wanted to go indoor skydiving for his 6th bday so we found SkyVenture on Yelp. I remember passing this place a few years back on my way to Tucson, so glad I remembered it. Dwayne was our instructor and he was absolutely amazing. When my son first stepped out to fly with him, he was freaking out a little, but Dwayne was able to calm him down. Its so loud in the tunnel and you can only understand hand motions and facial expressions, so the fact that he calmed my son down so quick and so easy was amazing! Today I took my fiancé to Skyventure for a unique birthday surprise. We had an amazing time! It was such an adrenaline rush. You start off at the reception desk and check in. You then head up the stairs to the wind tunnel where you see many skydivers in the tunnel practicing maneuvers and different types of flights. We sat waiting for about 20 minutes before anyone said anything to us which was kind of odd but we were a little early and we didn't mind so much because we were both enjoying watching the advanced skydivers practicing different flight patterns. After about 20 minutes someone came to get us to watch a short video instructing us on how to properly fly in the tunnel. It was brief but informative. Our instructor came to get us after the video was over and we suited up. We wore a helmet, goggles and a flight suit. There were six people total in the group that was waiting for their time in the tunnel including us. Each person gets either one minute or two minutes, two times a piece depending on what package you buy. It is quite expensive but well worth it. I had a bit of a panic attack initially and I was of course the only person in our group to have "turtle" moment completely flipped over on my back but our instructor was good and he calmed me down and helped me eventually on the second time around I was able to relax and enjoy it more. My fiancé was a natural and enjoyed every moment of it which Is all I could have really asked for. Overall great experience. If you are looking for a unique adventure this is the place to go for it! read more

I took my 8 year old nephew and 6 year old Neice here as their Christmas present. The 8 year old did really great and had great form for it. The 6 year old had a good time but comprehending the best body position was a little tricky. The instructors were really great and seemed to have a really good time even though they do this everyday. I would recommend this to any age and anyone, but I think older kids will grasp the concept better and have more fun. One thing I will note is the plexi glass around the flying area is scratched so taking photos and videos have that in it. We bought the DVD from the place to have a video without scratches as we assumed the camera was placed inside and we were wrong. Our purchased DVD was filmed outside the glass as well so also had scratches in the view. I wouldn't recommend buying the DVD and just videoing yourself. read more

Brought a group of Boy Scouts for an adventure. Coordinating the pricing and getting it all paid was a bit of a challenge for the gal at the front desk. The manager there was helpful and pretty accommodating after a few conversations and back and forths. We were spending about $1,000 so I had hoped that would have gone a little better. But,....on to the good stuff...... The staff who fly with you are awesome!!! Super friendly and energetic and fun and cool!!! Our boys had an absolute blast!!!! Everyone got two 1-minute flights - maybe a little longer. It's soo great to watch everyone else in the wind tunnel and the anticipation of waiting to go. Such a rush to be in there and flying, learning to steer and then going tandem with an instructor way up into the top of the tunnels, spinning around!! Was awesome!! It's also exhilarating to watch others go, wouldn't seem like it, but it is,....especially when it's your kids :-) I would definitely recommend this place for a unique, cool, unusual, fun, exciting, exhilarating gift for anyone or even to take your kids for the day as a surprise. It's really not bad for the money considering all you get to do, plus it comes with a T-shirt, which is really cool!! In reality, if you're coming from the Phoenix area, you'll probably spend as much in gas just to get down there,....so in comparison, not bad, haha!! ;-) I will go back with my own family and we will definitely do this again with scouts! read more

SkyVenture was my mother's idea for an adventurous activity to complete over Christmas. We arrived on time and were signed in, then led to a waiting area outside the "flying tube" - some have reported that this can be a long wait, but it wasn't for us. Still, don't count on actually starting the activity for about an hour after your arrival time. while waiting, we got to watch some really advanced indoor skydivers practicing some cool tricks. It made the wait tolerably fun! Next, we were filed into a classroom to watch a safety video and practice our 'flying' position. It was surprisingly entertaining for an instructional videotape. We then got sized, suited up, and entered the skydiving area. What fun! This experience is intense, fulfilling, and unique. One small girl (about 7) found it frightening, but that is largely a personality thing. The tricks the instructors helped us do were the icing on the cake. Because you really can't do much on your own at your first time, they help you to do some fun stuff - so you get cool memories of the experience! read more

Probably the single most thrilling thing to do in Arizona! The staff was amazing, and made my whole family feel like we were regulars. I've never done anything like this, and to be honest I was a little nervous. I suffer from chronic muscle spasms, and was worried this would aggravate it. To my surprise, after my flight my body actually felt less tense than usual. We made an appointment ahead of time and got right in. They provide a training seminar before your first session. I felt a little silly but I'm glad they offer because there are a few safety precautions that must be followed. Our instructor was friendly, detailed, and very encouraging. He was great with the kids, too! We also got to hear some exciting flying stories from the owner. This experience is a great day to spend with the family, on a date, or even alone! For the past month, I was on a mission to surprise my man with a fun birthday activity. This was no easy feat as he is an adrenaline junkie and I, for lack of better words, am I complete and total wuss. Enter Sky Venture Arizona! For 80 bucks a piece, he and I would take turns flying in a wind tunnel for a total of 4 minutes. No airplanes, no free fall. Sign me up! For first time "flyers," expect to watch a corny training video followed by practicing the position in front of the group. Next, you suit up and get ready to fly. Flying is surprisingly difficult, and I am STILL sore today, but it was super fun. The best part was when the experienced instructors whirl you up. After we were done, they hopped in and did Spiderman tricks. I definitely recommend indoor skydiving for those who don't think they'll ever have the opportunity to skydive solo, or for those who are wusses. My only complaint is that we didn't get started until almost 40 minutes after our scheduled appointment, but we used that time to watch the professional skydiving teams do fancy coordinated tricks. read more

Matthew did some 'one on one' coaching with me in the tube and I felt very prepared to take to the skies and do it for real. I wanted a memorable, surprise gift experience for my wife for one of those milestone birthdays. I had taken her hot air ballooning for another of those milestone birthdays many years ago, so when I found out about this experience, I thought it would be perfect. Especially as she expressed interest in doing a tandem parachute jump with an instructor. Not something I'm interested in doing, but I thought this would be the next best thing. We were driving to SkyVenture, which is part of the Skydive place. Of course, seeing people drop out of the sky made her think we were doing the skydiving thing. Then she saw the sign for the "indoor skydiving" and said, "who would want to do that?!?" Well, it turns out she would. The two nice ladies at the reception area quickly had us checked in (I had made reservations a few weeks earlier). Then you climb up the stairs up to the wind tunnel, and right there you can see people floating around in the see-through tunnel. It was fun to watch. It took a little while till we got our quick briefing (we didn't have to practice with everyone--just listen to the instructor, watch the video, and get suited up). The guys there had us all fitted with earplugs, goggles, a flight suit and a helmet. NOTE: If you wear glasses but don't need them that much, don't wear them with the goggles. The goggles are snug and squish the glasses into your nose somewhat. Also, if you have nasal issues, the air whooshing upward kind of blows up your nose, which can be uncomfortable. The pros there were wearing helmets with wind shields that kind of took care of this issue. After getting suited up, we eventually were led into the outer chamber of the flight tunnel and sat on the bench waiting our turn. The other reviewers have well-described everything. I would add that it was a nice finish, that, on the second flight, towards the end, they turn up the fans and the instructor goes up with you and you both whirl around several yards up above the net below. It was a bit scary but also fun--the closest I'll come to actually flying. Oh, yeah, and my "birthday girl" REALLY enjoyed the experience! I found everyone here to be very helpful and having a real desire to give us a fun experience! Afterwards, go down the street to the Bent Prop for something to wet your whistle and take care of your hunger. read more

Took our daughter there today to surprise her for a gift for her 16th birthday! She had no idea where we were going. When we got there she was a bit apprehensive. However, once she became airborne- her face lit up! She loved it AND it was so fun just to watch her!! Can't wait to go back and do it myself. It's about a 40 minute drive from Chandler down to SkyVenture AZ, which is basically in the middle of nowhere. It's also part of SkyDive AZ where you can go skydiving for real. After our trip to the wind tunnel we had lunch at the restaurant and then sat outside to watch the people flying from the sky and land right in front of us! It was awesome! We loved it! Apparently people come and bring lawn chairs and picnics and just hang out and watch it. We will definitely be back to do the indoor skydiving and outdoor viewing of the real thing! Highly recommend this place for a unique adventure!! It cost $50 for two - one minute flights. Seems a bit pricey but not crazy... Was worth it!! read more

I've done this once before by myself in Vegas, had fun then, but it is pricy for the amount of time you spend actually doing something, yet the prices in Eloy are a bit cheaper than Vegas, because you're out in the boonies, it's still worth it. This time I took my daughter, girlfriend, sister and her kids. It's a drive from Phoenix, but it's worth it to check it off your bucket list. The other reviews pretty much sum up the experience. But I have to add, the 2 one minute flight times are really not enough time if you want to learn how to control your body in free fall, (I sure couldn't keep the instructions in my head and did horribly) but the smiles from the people who went are definitely worth it. And the displays of what trained people can do are amazing. The instructor was nice, helpful and understood that we were paying for the experience, his helper on the other hand was a bored teenager, who after dispassionately helping us, did a couple of tricks (showing off very well) then went back to listening to his ipod and ignoring us. Regardless, we all had fun. They allow small kids (who are interested in doing this) to experience it also, so if you have the money, I recommend it. I don't feel the need to go skydiving myself, but it is a good step to find out. You can check out the real skydiving at the same location also. read more

I went there for the indoor skydiving. And the wind tunnel is very nice because you can see the tunnel inside and see how your friend is doing inside. However the wait line is very long and you have to do reservation because there are so many people waiting for their turn. And if the chairs are full, you have to sit on the floor... But it's generally really good place to enjoy with your friends. read more

What a great place to have fun! EVERYONE working here was fantastic, from the lady at the front desk (so helpful) to the guys working the flying experience. They guys are great at explaining what to do, they are patient and gave us an amazing demonstration of what you can do. On top of that, the facility was clean and friendly.
