Instructor doing some tricks after the crew flew
Aini R.

The kids love this place! We come here at least once a year, and it's always a blast. They offer great flight deals after your first session, and we've been purchasing the Crew Pass each time--it's totally worth it for us. We bring a new friend each time using our pass. I really appreciate that they send email reminders before the pass expires, so I don't forget to use it. The instructors are awesome and usually show off some cool flying tricks before and after the group flies. It's so much fun every time!

10000000/10. Hands down, SUCH a great time. My family and I came here today to celebrate my dad's birthday. My mom made reservations for 11am and they were very prompt with starting our session. When we arrived, my dad and brother checked in, filled out waivers, and got weighed. Once all of that was out of the way, we headed upstairs to wait our turn. The wind tunnel is super rad. It's large and a bit noisy, but the staff supply suits, goggles, ear plugs, and helmets. The instructors are also *INCREDIBLY* knowledgeable and patient, very easy to understand. The whole process was broken down and explained, and we had the chance to watch the group before ours so we got an idea of what to do. The initial teaching session isn't longer than 5 or 10 minutes, and my brother and dad were seated in the waiting area for their turn quickly. It was a total blast to watch, honestly. The activity itself is not my bag, but my brother and dad had such a great time and my mom and I had a lot of fun watching them. The instructor was true to his word - he gently redirected the flyers when needed, and made sure they got the most out of their time. At the bottom of the tunnel, there's a springy net and there's also a light that flashes when there's 10 seconds left, so you're prepared on when it is ending. Once the session itself ended, our instructor got to show his own skills and showed us how it was REALLY done lol. My dad and brother also each got a certificate at the end. We opted to purchase both the video and the pictures from the actual business, and my mom received them via email within a few hours. There was also the option of paying an additional $20 for another flight after the session, if we wanted, and our instructor took us through what packages they offer if we feel like we'll be frequenting iFLY. This was such a fun, unique thing to do and I wholeheartedly recommend trying out iFLY.

This was an incredible experience. My son did it and he loved it. The front desk guy was so friendly and welcoming. He let us change our time and helped us login. The instructor before our class was awesome. He was so funny and really good with kids and people in general. Then our instructor was also fantastic. He was so friendly and helpful and worked really hard to get people on their own. They made this experience even better. Great customer service. Thank you for helping us create wonderful memories.

Sammy checked us in and she was phenomenal, super supportive and very helpful. Unbelievable experience! Will bring some new customers as they come to AZ and are looking for a completely new experience.

A Christmas gift from our 79 year old father in law as a way to get the whole family together and this was a hit! And yes, Grandpa was there and did do it! Customer service making the appointment and check in with John was seamless. We had Jeryn as our flight instructor he was such a delight from start to finish. He was very experience was professional but playful at the same time. He was awesome!! We had our sons with us (18 and 23 years old ), my husband and my sister in law who has been battling cancer for 2 years and now in remission so celebrating life by having a unique experience was awesome for her. We got great pics and videos to enjoy for years! Good family fun!

iFLY is a cool and unique experience. On this visit, we brought my stepson in for a flight experience as a birthday gift. We were able to snag a Black Friday deal for 10 flights for up to 5 family members. My husband and stepson took flight on this visit, but I have experienced flying here in the past. The instructors are friendly and help to ease any nerves before flying. Prior to being fitted with flying gear you watch a short safety and instructional video. My family really enjoyed the experience and had a lot of fun. Our package also included photos and videos of their flight. At the end of the flights the instructors showed off their amazing talent and tricks. This place is also great for groups and a variety of ages.

Took my son and daughter here for my son's birthday. The staff were super friendly, nice, helpful and attentive. When checking in at the bottom floor they ask you if you want to do an extra two flights for $20 I believe, just say yes! My son thought that he was going to be too afraid and didn't want to do any extra and they basically talked him into doing an extra flight for $20 when you're upstairs. They definitely do not give you a good deal once you walk up those stairs LOL The extra video you can get recorded was basically a waste of money, the quality wasn't that great and you really don't get to see too too much of facial expression at all angles. I paid extra for them to take my son higher, and I'm sure they have a base marker of how high to go, but I didn't think it was very high. *shrugs* You pay for 60 seconds of flight time, in reality when they take you back out the door is at 50-55 seconds which kind of sucks even if it's just 5 seconds. Esp when you're paying so much for indoor Skydiving. Either way my son enjoyed it. My daughter did not. But customer service was pretty good so a 4 star instead of a 3. Since it's an experience the birthday boy enjoyed.

I cannot say enough about this amazing field trip! They are super well organized! We are a homeschool co-op and 40 people signed up to fly. They started us as one big group and did a STEM lesson on how it all works..then we were split into 4 groups for rotations: STEM activity (younger kids made parachutes, older kids did math to try to estimate what wind velocity certain items needed to be able to fly. This was tested at the end), preflight prep, fly time, and STEM lab. It was super fun for everyone! Chaperones got to fly at the kid price. So my husband and I flew. My youngest (3 yrs old) also flew. My oldest who is ASD flew and LOVED it. He did amazing. Our flight instructor was kind, engaging and encouraging. Everyone there was wonderful..I highly recommend!

I took my son and his friends to iFLY today. They had a lot of fun. Each person got to fly twice. 5 ft to start with, and if you want to do 15 ft the 2nd time you can just add $20. Each flight is 1min in the wind tunnel. The instructor was very good. It's just a really cool experience for anyone.

What a neat experience

This was such a fun experience, everything is cool except if you're late you don't fly. They do give you your money back but still you don't get to fly. Other than that this place is so much fun, restrooms are clean and I recommend anyone wanting to try to do so. We booked a party and they really took the time to safely ensure we all enjoyed ourselves.

I took my four grandsons here. We bought the package for $500 for 5 people with two flights each. It was unique and different. I thought Adam was enthusiastic, pleasant and engaging. His demonstration at the end of our time was pretty incredible as he did flips and turns inside the silo. Each return that each individual takes inside the silo is about 60 seconds long. Most of that is eating up with learning to do hand signals to communicate, so it doesn't last very long. Our cost was about $50 per person per minute. 20 additional dollars if you want to go up about 15 feet or so higher. The standard purchase is just a float 4 feet off the ground. They don't really tell you that until after you've paid and experienced. Your "flight". Nice people here. We had a really good time!

For my boyfriends birthday he wanted to check out iFly. He has been skydiving before but never indoor so he has been intrigued in trying it out. I was easily able to purchase a package online and pick a time and date that worked for us. We chose a weekday as weekends are a bit busier and a bit more expensive. They did have a large amount of availability. They also have the option to add video or photo to your package. Once arriving we are able to quickly check in, sign a waiver and head upstairs for our time slot. You have the option to add a high flight or additional flights at this time as well. They have a nice backdrop for great photos and an open seating area to watch all of the fliers. Before flying they have an entire group of flyers watch a training video and go to the counter to suit up. His group had 6-7 people. The trainer walked everyone flying through the process and answered any questions anyone may have. He was really nice and thorough, especially as most of the group was children. Each flight lasts 60 seconds and during that time they take photo or video if you purchased the add ons. I purchased both for him but I wouldn't again as I got much better photos and videos than they did, as they were blurry and showed him exiting. It was a waste of money doing so. He had a great time though and my daughter and I enjoyed watching him and the others fly. This is a perfect indoor thrill activity to escape the heat. This is something I would never do buy it was a ton of fun watching others do it, I'll live vicariously through them

We decided an ifly experience would make for a special fifth grade graduation gift for my son, and we were right!! We allowed him to invite one friend and my daughter joined in on the fun too... all had a blast! They each did two flights including the option to go extra high, and loved every second. They only wished they had more time to fly! I also purchased pictures and videos as part of the experience but I think I would skip that add on next time and just use my own phone. All in all a super cool experience and it made for a memorable and special gift!

Holy. Shit. What an absolutely insane experience…read more I went skydiving and got paired up with an instructor named Joel, and let me just say -- this guy is a total badass. From the second we geared up, he made me feel completely safe while also hyping me up like we were about to jump into a damn action movie. When we hit altitude and that door opened, my heart was pounding out of my chest. I looked at Joel and he just grinned like, "Let's f***ing do this." And then we were out. Free. Falling. The rush was unreal. The wind, the speed, the pure adrenaline -- it's the most alive I've ever felt. I was screaming, laughing, probably swearing my head off, and Joel was calm as hell, steering us through the sky like it was just another Sunday. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the freefall felt like the longest, wildest roller coaster drop of my life. Then the parachute deployed smooth as hell, and suddenly everything went quiet and peaceful. We just floated there, taking in the view, and I couldn't stop saying, "This is so f***ing cool." Joel was professional, hilarious, confident, and made the whole thing unforgettable. If you're even thinking about skydiving -- stop overthinking it and just book it. Ask for Joel. You won't regret a damn thing. When the chute was open and we were approaching landing Joel taps me and said "look at the altimeter, you see that this is when we want to stop making big maneuvers and start slowing down, lucky for you I'm not a student and I'm the instructor." And then spun us into an insane spiral before jerking us up into a momentary weightlessness. It was exhilarating. To top it off, Joel also did a little spiritual/mindfulness/mentalization exercise midair. The dude made the experience not just adrenaline filled, but also made it into some type of therapy session with my heart rate in the 190's. Absolutely legendary fucking experience. Cassandra and Ethan at the front desk made it even better from check in to explaining everything. It was all around an amazing experience and they all are such great people. 10/10. Would jump out of a perfectly good airplane again.

A morning of high flying action!…read more Where to begin?! So travelled down to Maricopa on a Groupon. Not really sure what to expect as you pull up to a small hanger near the local airfield. Started small talk with the other people waiting until our instructor Mo showed up. First thing out of his van was beautiful happy golden retriever named Rosa. She just helped set the mood for the rest of the morning. Mo was very friendly and informative. He was very quick with getting all the paperwork out of the way so we could get straight to the action. So easy to sign your life away on a waiver, right?! Continued out to the airstrip to watch Mo get all the equipment set as we sat around with intros and watching Rosa's energy. Quick set of safety instructions and the first person strapped in and was off the ground in minutes. Not that a dog should be the highlight of the flying experience, but Rosa was so excited to watch help set up and chase you down the airstrip. I would say she made the entire experience 30% better. Everyone walked away extremely elated with the experience. Mo was very professional and just a fun overall person to be around. We ended up tipping to basically make up the difference of the discounted Groupon. Well worth the full price of the ride. (You'll read in all my reviews that I big supporter of local businesses) Biggest tip...bring a warm jacket and gloves!

I always looked around for a friend to do the course with and for the best school to learn at. I finally found the best school but never found a friend that will put their money where their mouth is! First let me tell you about the experience - In one word fantastic! Its fun and challenging! You would be surprised how bad you do under the slightest of pressure, I am a skydiver and do pretty well in the air but flying showed me that I have much more to learn about myself. Why this school? Its small so you will always fly with the same CFI (instructor) and the plane is always available. My schedule is all over the place, Larry was always open to my crazy days and hours, I once wanted to fly on Sunday at 7:30 am and when I asked him if that's okay he says this is my job, work comes first. That should say it all. Being in Arizona we have blue clear skies every day, that is key for doing this fast and cheap! I have a few friends that started and stopped in other schools the main issue was to many different instructors, I was doing approaches to land on my third lesson you can't do that if you switch CFI every lesson. Plane: Cessna 172 (2003). Great ride, well maintain and easy to learn on, Has just the right equipment, before I started I thought I wanted to learn on a plane with a G1000 and full glass. No need, you will pay more for something that you do not need. Don't wait. I waited around for a few years on friends that promised me that we will learn together, now its great if it happens - learning the ground school as a team will help you. But, the reality is your the pilot and your doing it on your own, looking back I am glad I did it alone. More people in the plane the more fuel and less performance = more cost. Price: When I did my shopping around it seamed like this school will cost me more because of Scottsdales fuel cost, but I live in Scottsdale and don't have the time to drive to chandler and back a few times a week. It ended up being cheaper then chandler because of the attention that Larry puts on your cost. He always made sure to be efficient so we don't do things twice. I was ready for my check ride in 45-50 hours. Tips, Everyone is going to tell you the same and its true, try to do it all in one shoot, 2,3 or even 4 lessons a week and read the PTS and other ground material from day one. Look for youtube videos on weather and other things you don't know. Get the test out of the way. I took a 5 week break and that cost me over $1000 learning how to land again don't do breaks. And try to pace it so that your check ride is in the winter. Last, when you go to Aerodyne flight center tell them I send you :)

We did a sunrise hot air balloon ride, so we had to be up at 5am, and leave before 6am because it's about a 30 min ride from Phoenix. When you arrive, you register in and then they will assign you a hot air balloon pilot. Once everything is ready to go, each pilot will call out their own name for guests assigned to them to follow them to a van. Each van then takes each group to a place that's about maybe 20 min away to a different location to where they set up the air balloons to take off. Each pilot will go over key things to be aware off and how to enter into the cabin of the hot air balloon. There's plenty of time allotted to take pictures (lots of people dressed up so they could get cute photos with the hot air balloons as a backdrop), but keep in mind it's so cold early in the morning so you may want to bring a light jacket. After the ride, the pilot cracks open a bottle of champagne and juices so we can toast to an amazing ride. This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it if you can (and for those afraid of heights, I promise the ride itself is smoother than riding a plane, it's the most slow and steady ride you can experience!).
