We tied our tubes together and floated down the river. We couldn't believe how clean the river was and the rest areas were litter free. This trip renewed my spirit of our country. The help and respect that we received floating down the river was unbelievable. No matter what color or what language they spoke they were there to help us out. Also the the Safety team at the end of the ride. 2 were stuck in the tube at the end of the ride and weren't able to get out with a semi fast water and started to float away but there was the was the Safety Patrol to rescue them. 1 person in our party walked with a cane and after they got him out of the tube they stuck with him and even escorted him up to the bus and wanted to stay until the bus arrived. If you own your own tube, you can still rent a bus ride for $19. This is definitely an Arizona summer classic. Wow!! I'm updating to say that in all my 21 years I didn't realize that there was a difference between rafting and tubing and that there were 2 different of options on what you can do to go down the river. How freaking cool and thank you to the business owner for educating me!

We then made a quick stop in Flagstaff for lunch before continuing on to the Grand Canyon -- which was nothing short of spectacular. Not only did he ensure that we hit all of the Park highlights, but he took us away from the biggest crowds to show us views that were true " hidden gems." We spent the day at Lake Bartlett Marina with some friends who are considering signing up for a…read moremonthly membership. They've been on the waiting list and wanted to check out the fleet of boats included with the membership and get out on the water, and we were happy to tag along! We ended up on a pontoon with a full shade cover, which was a huge plus. Since it was a super hot August day and we were out during full sun, having complete shade made a big difference compared to a half-shade boat. We were also given a tube, which the kids were VERY excited about! We did have to wait a while before getting on the boat even with our 1pm reservation, but our friends were going through all of the membership information and learning how everything works. It just took a while to get that started. While we waited, the kids had fun feeding the fish the fish food, and of course we ended up grabbing a few snacks from the shop. One area that could use some improvement is the parking and signage. It was a little confusing figuring out where to go. We initially turned off in the wrong area, had to drive back up, and then continued on to find the guest parking and rental area. The walk down to the marina wasn't marked particularly well either, although we eventually figured it out. Once we were out on the water, though, it was beautiful! The lake and surrounding mountains are gorgeous, and it was such a fun way to spend a Sunday. One thing that took us a little while to get used to was that the lake traffic goes counterclockwise--it felt a little strange at first, but we got the hang of it! It did seem like they may have been a little understaffed while we were there. There were member boats coming back in, families waiting to head out, and other people picking up and returning rental boats, while we only saw one person working behind the counter and another who was busy getting boats ready. It may have just been the staffing for that particular Sunday, so I can't say if that's typical. Overall, we had a great day on the water! The kids had a blast, the boat was comfortable, and the scenery was beautiful. I think our friends may be signing up for the membership, so it definitely seems like they got a good feel for what Lake Bartlett Marina has to offer. We'd definitely go back for another day on the lake!

Absolutely unacceptable experience. Our boat broke down after just one hour on the lake, and we…read morenever drove it faster than 15 mph. We were left stranded in the middle of the water, sitting in the heat waiting to be towed back. Instead of taking responsibility, the company immediately tried to shift the blame. They told us they needed a mechanic to determine if it was "user error," and now, days later, they're saying they likely won't refund us. That's completely unreasonable. We paid for a working boat and got a breakdown within an hour there's no justification for that. The worst part is how they handled it. No accountability, no urgency, and no concern for the fact that we lost our entire rental time due to their equipment failing. I would strongly advise against booking here. If their boat fails which clearly can happen you'll be stuck out on the lake, wasting your time in the sun, and then potentially blamed for it with no refund.

A complete VIBE!…read more Spencer was our guide and it was just us with him, so it felt like a private tour which I loved! I had never gone ATV riding before, but now I'm obsessed and want to go again. Spencer was very informative about how to turn on our vehicle, helmet and goggle placement, scarf placement (he provided the scarves for us to keep) to prevent as much dust from entering your mouth while driving, and ultimately how to drive the the ATV safely. Periodically he would make stops to describe the history of different cacti or different overlooks for photo opportunities. I had so much fun and left very dusty but very happy lols definitely check them out if you're in the Scottsdale or Phoenix area!
