Walked in looking for either a casual cruiser or a town hybrid. And, simply got a lecture on how bad Trek, Specialized and Giant overprice their products. Not a good experience. Especially since I was a Trek sponsored rider and love their products. Joe would never bag on another company or shop, apparently the new guy will. Buyers please be aware that you can buy quality products at a reasonable price if you simply lower the component groupo. I would never buy anything based on the interaction I had today. Retail rule #1 don't badmouth other companies or shops based on their products. Especially when you carry Bianchi and next Wilier. What a waste of time, but now I know not to send anyone back to this shop. RIP BOP. read more

I had thought i had left a review. Had a brand new Genius 940 carbon with DT-SWiSS wheels. They were breaking spokes within 12 months of use and had them replaced 3 times. The mavic replacement with straight spokes is doing much better at taking the stress. So I am happy as all get out. read more

This is a great shop! I dropped my bike off for a tune-up and was pleasantly surprised when I picked it up. The cost was less than what they had quoted me. I think this is because my bike is old and nothing special but none the less, this is not something that typically happens! Also, the guys were so gracious and helpful - getting my bike in and out of my trunk for me. Just went there to get a valve stem ( or repair) on my son's bike and they were super nice and helpful! I didn't catch the name of the gentleman that helped me, but I really appreciated his help. Took a 10 inch tire to this shop because I needed help putting the tire back on the rim. Although the worker was very polite, he turned me away because he said it was "too hard" to do. He only tried for 30 seconds max. I ended up driving to a different bike shop and they did it in 3 minutes....FOR FREE. Cant speak to other work they do but you would expect a bike shop to be able to do that kind of work. read more

Second review since this time I purchased a new Haro Bridgeport hybrid bike. As always, they did an excellent job prepping the new bike and I have put about 75 miles on it over the past few days. Joe did an excellent job advising me. I was going to have my old mountain bike tuned up but by the time we totaled the price for everything it needed, he pointed out a new bike would not be that much more so I went with it (also wanting to support small local businesses during this virus crisis). Had two flat tires and still haven't been taught how to change them myself. Since I find everything I need on Yelp I looked for a nearby bike shop open on Sunday to take my bike to be fixed. BOP had great reviews and was close to where I live. Everyone in the store were very welcoming and cordial. They quoted a fair price, handled the task within an hour and sent me off with two repaired tires readying me for my next ride. I appreciated their straight forward approach, honest answers to my questions and quality work. I will return to them for a future tune up. read more

BOP does all of that and more ... Two years ago I bought a Hang Ten bike for the hubby at BOP and recently the seat pole was bending a bit & BOP went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Honestly is the main reason why I love bicycles of Phoenix. I brought in my wife's old cruise bike that had not had a tune up since 2010. When I came in, the tech said this bike is in great shape, and only needs some minor break adjustments. I paid half the price I was expecting and the bike rides great. Since my first visit I have been back five times and Joe services my mountain bike, gives me great advice and always shoots straight. This is a near perfect bike shop! I only wish the store was a little larger and they sold Giant bikes. Otherwise, in my opinion this is the best bike shop in Phoenix. read more

We had an appointment scheduled for them to pick our bike up Monday and they never showed up to get it or call us to let us know they weren't coming. They already didn't call us back at least once when trying to schedule this repair. We had to call them again to sort this repair out and then they didn't even show up to pick the bike up. Terrible customer service. They deserve a zero but I don't have that option. The owner was supposed to pick our bike up so obviously no one at this company cares about customers. read more

Dishonest and unreliable. I took my bike in on a Monday for service - tune-up and replace a derailleur. I was told it would be one week. I had not heard from them 10 days later and called. I was told that they were behind so it would be the next Monday which now meant 2 weeks. I called on the next Monday and was told it slipped through the cracks and they would order the part that day and it would be ready later in the week if the part they ordered was correct. Again, no calls that the bike was ready. I went to the shop on Friday and picked up my bike. No work had been done, a tire was flat that was not flat when I took it in and now I was told it is a rough time now. I do not disagree with that but customer services requires truth telling and communication. You will NOT get that from BOP! read more

Love these guys! Went in looking for a bike to ride around asu. Joe had some bikes on sale and had the bike that I was looking for at the cheapest price in the valley. He made sure all was good before I left with it and told me to go back in 30 days to make sure everything continued working properly with it. Took it back in 30 days later and he tuned up everything AND he made sure that we put on my fenders (at home) correctly, we didn't. Joe fixed our fenders and took care of everything. Everyone in here is friendly and they all remember who you are when you come back in. There is always people hanging out and it's a chill place to learn a hell of a lot about bikes. read more
