It's actually a little animal rescue tucked into the backyard of a private property, where you can visit rescued Highland cows, pigs, goats, donkeys, tortoises, ducks, sheep and assorted other members of the Island of Misfit Pets. It's completely free to visit. You stay outside the fence for safety, but you can still pet and feed the animals (and it's okay to get emotionally attached to them!) Sometimes Carl leaves food outside for visitors to hand out to the "damaged pets" or you can bring your own approved snacks like apples, zucchini, carrots and cucumber. Basically a very wholesome BYOS situation. I posted a photo of the full approved-food list so you too can trick some furballs into becoming your new best friends. You can also leave a monetary donation to help with the cost of caring for the animals. You can visit at any time, but remember this IS someone's private property, so obviously be respectful of the home and neighbors.

I like the wide variety of activities available to kids (trampoline area, tons of ninja-warrior-like equipment, the ball-shooting area, and toddler-dedicated play spot). I was amazed there were zero casualties the day I took both my 5 year old and 18-month old there one weekend. There were so, so many kids and adults hanging about that day. And even though you pay for the 2-hour slot, I don't think they really keep tabs on when the time expires as the capacity of the spot got tighter and tighter as we neared the end of our 2-hour slot. Even though it was extremely fun for both my kids, the place definitely needs a bit of a renovation on some of the areas and honestly way too overstimulating for a working-mom like myself. Her mom and I went out of state for a few days, and my niece's work schedule is the graveyard shift, but we made plans to visit the shop before I headed back to the airport. I'm guilty of judging a book by its cover, because this small package (shop) was filled with things to look at, do, and buy. It was like a mini museum, but you can touch everything! You watch a video and select a helmet prior to the race. While racing you may be told when to let people pass, which is good if holding others up. I thought it was crummy when our cars were controlled due to a regular there and we had us let him pass. It takes the kart a minute to get going again, which wasted time from our seven minutes. There were parties going on, so the down side was we could only do one race and then we'd have to wait 45 min to go race again. We decided to leave as we don't play video games. There was a dead cockroach on the floor, many of the surfaces looked like they hadn't been wiped down in a while, and the foam pit was especially concerning--the foam blocks looked old, dirty, and in need of replacement. For what admission costs, I expect the facility to be maintained much better. My kids still had fun, but the lack of cleanliness made it hard to enjoy the experience, and I don't feel the condition of the facility matches the premium price.
