None of my tricks seem to impress them. I got good enough to tic tac, mongo push and tweak a bail. But they roll their eyes unimpressed. Skateboards seem to have been replaced with scooters and that is what my boys enjoy. To me, having basically a skinny board with handles looked like cheating. Very easy I said to myself as I told my boy to let me try his scooter. I'm watching kids as young as 5 dropping into pools and coming out up top like nothing. So I "mongo push" out to the edge of the bowl and drop in! It was amazing. I did a front flip and the scooter went flying. I felt the wind go from my lungs as I landed on my back. Kids come running over to see if I'm ok. You know how it is. Those times you trip and roll with it like you meant to do it on purpose? Well I jumped up and played it off smoothly. "Heck yeah kid, I was just practicing my impossible flip-trick but got my fakie mixed up." Dropped the mic with my head held high and casually walked to the benches with the rest of the parents. Did a couple nonchalant side glances to make sure my ruse paid off and exhaled the bitter pains pounding throughout my body. Sat back and thought to myself "Screw that" and have happily just taken and watched the boys since. So for skate park review. I judge them on a couple things. Review for Weekends. 10:00am - 5:00pm SKETCHINESS- 4 stars. We only come here during the day. Most of the skaters and scooter riders are well behaved. You will hear some occasional expletives from people wiping out, but mainly a chill group. Being along the green belt there seem to be more family friendly types around. Occasionally some homeless folks but never any issues. FACILITIES- 4 stars. Shade structure, concrete benches, picnic tables, walking paths, lots of grass and bathrooms within an easy walking distance. Lots of grass. Lots of options for a family. As we have 6 kids in a wide age range they all find something fun to do. PARKING- 4 stars. Always plenty of parking at the times we have come. CROWD- 3 stars. Some teenagers can be rude or not watch out for younger kids. Some younger kids do not pay attention to what's going on and parents are oblivious. Remember. Human skulls don't bounce well off of concrete as well as bones. I make my kids wear helmets, elbow and knee pads. They don't think it's cool but we've also seen what happens to those not wearing. So parents please be uncool and protect your kids brains and body. Overall I think it's a great activity for anyone. Creates great hand & eye coordination and kids get great cardio workout in without realizing it. I'm amazed at the parents who can still thrash it or gleam the cube.

The Mesa location has a lot more gym equipment, obstacles, and activities for younger kids, while this location feels much more like an open warehouse space with fewer things for little ones to do. The skate area is definitely larger here, but overall there wasn't as much to keep my 7- and 9-year-olds entertained. There were also a lot more older teens here, which made me uncomfortable letting my kids explore on their own. Even the 6-and-under area had bigger kids playing in it, and the main wheel zone was filled with older boys riding around pretty aggressively and balls just being thrown in different directions. The biggest disappointment was the cleanliness. We needed to use the restrooms as soon as we arrived, and they were very dirty--toilet paper was all over the floor and multiple toilets hadn't been flushed. The facility also felt worn down, and some of the equipment looked like it could use better maintenance. I'm glad I was able to visit using my GetOutPass, but I don't think I would pay admission to this location. I really wish the GetOutPass included the newer Mesa location instead, as it's a much better experience for younger kids. The teens all working at the place also are too busy talking and mingling with each other...

Since the older kids are back in school now, there is more space for the littles to run wild. (We grandparents got a workout too!) the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a snack bar and an area to rent scooters and helmets and you can even buy KTR merch. Restrooms are clean and there is a spot to refill water bottles. Consider purchasing the 10 punch pass too. Go and have fun!

There is a pool, a splash pad, a senior/community center, a skate park and 2 separate play areas for kids under 5 and kids over 5. I love the fact that play ground area has the nice seats all around for the parents to sit very close by and watch their kids. The play ground area has a huge sand box, so bring your "beach gear" and play on the splash pad and then go to the sand box area and dig for seashells or whatever you dig up. There is ample parking all around the park. Follow 48th Street all the way south until it dead-ends into this park.

I called in advance and the front desk made me feel comfortable, explaining the waiver and saying they accept all skill-sets. Upon arrival, again, the young gentleman working the check-in desk was friendly and helpful. The place at first is a little intimidating. Mostly BMX bikes and only 1 or 2 other skateboards, going every which way on the ramps. However, once our son was in there, it wasn't so bad. The other kids were very observant of whose turn is next and friendly. He went in by himself not knowing anyone, within 5 minutes he fit right in. I was impressed with the manners of the boys at the park. Well done, Premises Park. We'll be back.

Just down the road from Sloan Park (Cub's stadium) and across the street from Mesa Riverview shopping area, it's very well situated. For locals and people living in the area, it's definitely frequented for fishing, using the playground, playing soccer or sports, and taking a nice walk. It's a clean and well maintained park. When the weather is nice, this is a great place to take a walk at sunset, around the small lake. I've seen some really nice skies and colors from the park. People are there year round fishing and there's a big playground area with a large climbing tower & splash pad towers at the north end of the park. Spread throughout that area are picnic ramadas w/ grills that are popular on the weekend. We walk our pups around when it's cooler outside. Summer months we don't usually walk over, even though we live close by, across the street. It's just too hot, even at night. Overall, it's a great park area and I look forward to when we come back regularly for our evening walks.
