My friends and I have come here twice now for paddle board rentals and I can't rave enough about this shop - not only are the people SO FRIENDLY and NICE, they also equip you with all the necessary items for you to be able to enjoy your time on the river! They're conveniently on the way and also sell the Tonto pass needed to park your vehicle. Rentals include the board, a paddle, life vest, and the straps to tie the boards down. They attach them (securely) to your car for you and when you're finished and bringing the boards back, you can just deflate them so it's easy to throw them in the trunk! NoSnow has made it incredibly easy for me and my friends to go out and not have to worry about transporting and filling the boards. Not only that, but they also offer after-hour returns, making it more appealing to go out and do a sunset float! I will definitely be back any time I'm in need of a rental!! read more

If you need an affordable place for rentals I highly recommend this place. You can just call the shop to reserve your rentals. You pay when you get there. You can also get tonto day pass there. We rented two paddle boards. I have a tiny Corolla and the boards fit on top without a problem. The shop provides the the equipment to strap the boards to your car. They also have foam blocks so the boards don't scratch the roof of your car. I deducted one star because they could've explained and taken more time on how to strap the boards. You're clearly going to have to do it yourself on the way back. We've never done it before so it was kind of terrifying. Other than that excellent experience and if we don't get our own paddle boards we'll be renting from them again. read more

So we decided to rent out paddle boards from here to take up to Canyon Lake. My friend reserved them for Saturday however it looked like it was going to thunderstorm so we texted and they were so happy to accommodate us the next day. When we got there on Sunday, we signed one sheet of paper while another person loaded them onto the roof of our car and we were ready to go. They told us not to worry about time at all. For 40$, for an entire day rental- you can't beat the price and the friendliness. When we returned them, we put them inside a truck that they gave us the lockbox passcode. She even texted us "we don't believe in clock watching on the weekends - or ever!" which was just so awesome of them. It went so smoothly and they were BEYOND accommodating. We originally booked the rigid ones but then when we got there but they're much heavier than we thought. So they quickly told us it's probably best to do the inflatable and we were shocked how rigid the inflatable ones were! Love this business / the experience. read more

Great shop with really friendly people (and resident dogs!). We had a great experience renting boards from them this past weekend. They strapped everything to the top of my car and off we went. It was an easy hassle-free experience. The most difficult part was (1) finding the store (the commercial center doesn't have a name sign for it, only the store itself has a sign) and (2) figuring out how to strap the boards back on by ourselves when it was time to head back. We should have taken a picture of how they strapped it, like they had recommended to us! But we were too busy and forgot. I definitely plan to take out-of-town guests here for a board rental, it's something visitors would love to do. read more

Great customer service , unique experience from my first 2 paddleboarding experiences Miami August, lake las Vegas last month each is structured differently, for some reason the paddleboards for Saguaro Lake are not allowed to be rented from the actual lake, my previous experience was either on the lake or across the street very short walk, I brought a corvette it was my only option to order a inflatable, once there it was very hot, and i had to pump it up, which later caused cramps between pumping and paddling all day, and not bringing enough water. Realized im out of shape. Beautiful lake peacful quite, very Picturesque so not bad for all day around 40-50$ good deal just alot of moving parts no fault of there own not allowed to set up there, place is right in-line with main road in and out of the lake though. Also can keep lot longee then other places mentioned. read more

We decided to Paddleboard for the very first time as a family along the Salt River for Mother's Day Weekend with our three kids (12,10, and 8). We were trying to mentally juggle the drop off car from the put-in car with all 5 of us needing the right gear, water, shoes etc. None of us have ever paddleboarded either and while athletic there is always a little anxiety about a totally new sport especially with kids. I contacted Heather at No Snow rentals in Mesa and it was bar none a fantastic experience. She was quick to respond to emails, encouraging and knowledgeable. We were trying to get on the river before the tubers went off and she assured me the shop was open at 7am on a holiday Saturday and she delivered. I drove up and before I knew it her guys were running out to our truck and tying down all the boards for us. She put my wife's mind at ease about the basics of Paddling on a stand up board, gave us great feedback on the right parking to avoid getting tossed into the river yard-sale like and streamlined the whole process for us. When we returned the gear the reverse was equally true. I will 100% rent from them again and the only negative I have is that the experience was SO good that we already have looked into buying boards if rental #2 goes as smoothly. I blame this shop for my addiction to SUP! HA! About 2 years ago my partner and I decided we wanted to give paddle boarding a go. We do this a lot. We find something we want to do and we attack it with everything we have. To that end, we have a garage full of supplies collecting dust that allowed us to make our own wine and beer, various arts and crafts, unopened miter saws, treadmills... etc etc. you get the picture. The only thing we have stuck with over the last few years is our NoSnow paddle boards. When we first decided to give it a go, we went to Lake Pleasant. We rented some hard plastic boards and ventured out into the dirty, gassy and oily water. We were scared to death to fall in the water. THen we tried Tempe Town Lake. This was just as disgusting. Third time was the charm. We found NoSnow on a google search. We gave them a call and got set up with a couple of rental boards. When we showed up, Heather met us at the door and welcomed us into her shop. She asked about our past experience and comfort on the SUPs. She suggested we try Canyon and even told us of a calm spot on the water to get comfortable. After asking us some more questions, she told us the best option would be to have us rent two different boards so we could try out the different boards. She helped us strap them on the Jeep and off we went. Had an awesome time. Two weeks later we were back renting a couple different boards. 1 month later we were back purchasing boards for ourselves. We were grateful for the opportunity and direction to try out different boards. We both found different boards we liked. Surprisingly enough, we went with the inflatable NoSnow brands for two reasons: 1 - easy to inflate, deflate, and store. 2 - the stability and structure of the boards was better than any other boards we had tried at the price point and convenience factor. She also gave us a killer deal on custom paddles. 2 years later we still go out on the water frequently and have even joined up with the owners and groups they put together for night paddles, happy hour paddles and river runs. It doesn't hurt they have the cutest boxers greeting you when you walk in to the shop. I don't know the owners outside of the shop or the water, but I can tell you they have always treated us with kindness and respect. They are great people and i'm quite surprised by some of the negative reviews on here. At the same time, I realize we live in a time where some people just like to complain because it validates their otherwise .... Anyways, I digress. Give this place a chance. I owe 2 paddle boards from NoSnow and I try to buy all my gear here. Heather the owner is really nice. The boards are very well made and designed. You can't go wrong buying from them. What's nice is that if something goes wrong with your board or a part needs to be replaced all you have to do is stop by and they'll fix it which is way easier then having to send a board back to the manufacturer or company. I've owned my boards for 4 years now and I only needed one minor thing fixed after all that time using it. Family owned shop that treats you like family. read more

I bought a couple paddles to use when I surf in CA. I was surprised that NoSnow could get them for the same price as most online websites. They custom fit mine for me right there in the shop. The best part was that after I used my paddle for a couple days I wanted it a little shorter. I took it back to the shop and they cut it down and re-epoxied the handle for me in a couple minutes. I also rented a couple boards for the day to float down the Salt River with my two young boys. They fit us with great boards and made sure we had all the right tie downs.
