Skydive Buckeye is the real deal! Phenomenal experience for my first time, and the staff are top notch! 100/10 recommend to anyone! P.S. request Farmer as your tandem buddy! He's the best!

This was my 2nd time skydiving, first being in Pittsburgh. I was on vacation in the area and happened to see all of the good reviews as I have been itching to go again. They were running a deal so got a special then paid $30 extra to go 14k feet, $100 for video + photos, $20 shirt and leave a tip which it was all worth every penny! It's family owned, very welcoming and fun atmosphere. I wish I remembered my instructor's name but he was awesome. I felt a little less anxious this time as I knew what to expect and let go of harness more than last as was too scared my first time. I had the greatest experience and was a lovely peaceful way to end my trip. Highly recommend!! Everyone needs to go at least once. My only suggestion is to have the jumpers also wear a helmet or some sort like that as our photos turn out mostly goofy with the wind blowing our lips and face looking crazy but the instructors look perfect lol.

Booked online and booked in advance. New early of daughters arrival. Both very excited. Me a little worried, lol. Did a 10,000 ft tandem. Most people doing 14 ,000 ( did 14 my second jump , worth it) so waited a little bit . This place is a beehive of activity. Everyone in good spirits and the music was good while we sat on a couch and waited our turn. Our turn comes and we get harnessed up and instructed for what we need to do. We walk out to the plane and we are in front. ( oh great) Plane takes off and spirals skyward. Everything fine. Little slide door opened and wind noise elevated. Okay then. Two guys in front of us ( they weren't tandem) dive out around half way. Oh man. My turn comes and I am unsure. We scoot over to open door . I put my legs out and sit on ledge for a second . He said something and we rolled out of plane. The fall at 10,000 ft was amazing ( even better since I didn't puke or poop) and didn't feel the forces until after chute opened. After the chute opens , you pretty much corkscrew to landing area . Lots of left followed by lots of right or vice versa. By the time we landed I was glad , lol. ( did not eat breakfast and this was around lunch time, ) Was a very fun time . Took eldest daughter on 14,000 ft jump. Both of them got videos, so funny

10/10! instructors were great and it was so much fun! would recommend, especially if it's your first time!

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to have been able to do the jump before the business decided to shut down for a couple of weeks due to COVID-19. The owners, Shane and Melissa, are down to earth and such friendly people. My tandem instructor, Farmer, was awesome along with all of the other cool people. He made me feel comfortable and was so so cool about everything. I 100% trusted the staff and pilot. Was I nervous.. HELL YEAH but I also was excited, anxious, all of the feels you can think of. For me, the scariest part was stepping out of the plane and looking down before the jump but after that, you just feel so free. I did start to feel a little woozy closer toward the landing but heard that it's normal. I definitely recommend purchasing the photo and video package for anyone who is doing their first jump, it's totally worth it. Glad I got to check this off of my bucket list. AMAZING experience!

I had an ok experience. We did tandem and paid for both of us to jump at a higher elevation, plus video and photos, with tip came out to above $500. I think for the price point my experience wasn't that great because the person I was tandem to didn't really care about my experience, the quality of my video or photos. I compared mine to my brother's and his was significantly better. Also, the harness and goggles were on way too tight so I was uncomfortable the whole time. 4 Stars because my brother got tandem to a great person that really cared about his experience even though I did not.

I absolutely LOVED my experience!! I can't wait to jump again! The staff was friendly and I felt comfortable. I did get the video and photo package and I'm glad that I did. I wouldn't recommend jumping for the first time and NOT getting it! You MUST get the video and photo package for your first time! They do sell T-shirt's there as well. Something I liked was that they do have a restroom in case you get bubble guts beforehand and snacks and refreshments. It's a small business and if they all aren't related I wouldn't be able to tell. They seem to be a family and they're very comfortable with each other. I'll definitely jump with them again.

Great experience from start to finish. It was my daughters 20th birthday and she has been waiting to go for so long. She asked my husband to come with her and make it more special. He was so nervous because last time he'd went it was over 20 years ago, but he can't so no to his daughter lol Once we were there the family owned business made us all feel so at ease and safe. They made our entire family feel part of the experience and my daughter has caught the bug or go as often as possible. We arrived at our check in time and after learning what needed to be done they were off. I was so amazed at how graceful they all are. Everyone landed right in front of us which made for great shots and HUGE smiles. My daughter paid for a video as well. Thanks for giving two of the people I love most in this world pure bliss and keeping them safe. You guys rock!

This is definately an Arizona sweet spot for adventure located 30 minutes west of Phoenix! The reviews and what I experienced today shows the consistency of character and customer service here at Skydive Buckeye. Whether your a first timer or a regular this place will not disappoint. Whether brave or scared like myself the enthusiasm this family and team members share really makes it that much more special. This place is busy with a lot of enthusiasts. Definitely reserve ahead of time. Melissa was awesome and takes the time to answer any questions. Don't forget dress (including foot ware) properly for your adventure. Right now they are having a sale! Save 36 to 56 a jump. Save some money and jump during the weekdays.

Definitely the best experience I could've ever gotten! I had put off giving this a go for 20 years... For my 39th birthday I convinced my 3 older kids to join me in the sky! From arrival to departure, the staff was super friendly, explained in detail what to expect and made the entire experience worth every penny! Highly recommend this place and if it's your first time, spend the extra money on the video and going to a higher altitude because you can't get your first jump back and you're going to want to keep that memory! Thank you Skydive Buckeye, I'll see you again! (real soon)

So awesome! Went as a Christmas gift and was one of the best experiences of my life. All of the instructors are super rad and make you feel very safe. You can choose to jump from 10,000 feet or 14,000. I also got the photo and video package which I would highly recommend getting if it's your first time. If you're thinking about going, just do it! It's a total thrill.

About how long does it take to receive the video/ photo package?

They had the video ready at the desk when I got back to the hangar.

    How high is it, ft?

10,000 feet in the air but for an additional $30, you can jump from 14,000 feet.

Holy. Shit. What an absolutely insane experience…read more I went skydiving and got paired up with an instructor named Joel, and let me just say -- this guy is a total badass. From the second we geared up, he made me feel completely safe while also hyping me up like we were about to jump into a damn action movie. When we hit altitude and that door opened, my heart was pounding out of my chest. I looked at Joel and he just grinned like, "Let's f***ing do this." And then we were out. Free. Falling. The rush was unreal. The wind, the speed, the pure adrenaline -- it's the most alive I've ever felt. I was screaming, laughing, probably swearing my head off, and Joel was calm as hell, steering us through the sky like it was just another Sunday. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the freefall felt like the longest, wildest roller coaster drop of my life. Then the parachute deployed smooth as hell, and suddenly everything went quiet and peaceful. We just floated there, taking in the view, and I couldn't stop saying, "This is so f***ing cool." Joel was professional, hilarious, confident, and made the whole thing unforgettable. If you're even thinking about skydiving -- stop overthinking it and just book it. Ask for Joel. You won't regret a damn thing. When the chute was open and we were approaching landing Joel taps me and said "look at the altimeter, you see that this is when we want to stop making big maneuvers and start slowing down, lucky for you I'm not a student and I'm the instructor." And then spun us into an insane spiral before jerking us up into a momentary weightlessness. It was exhilarating. To top it off, Joel also did a little spiritual/mindfulness/mentalization exercise midair. The dude made the experience not just adrenaline filled, but also made it into some type of therapy session with my heart rate in the 190's. Absolutely legendary fucking experience. Cassandra and Ethan at the front desk made it even better from check in to explaining everything. It was all around an amazing experience and they all are such great people. 10/10. Would jump out of a perfectly good airplane again.

Check-in is at 6:15 a.m., so it's an early start, but it was completely worth it. After checking in, you're taken by van to the launch site, where the balloons are set up right in front of you. There were about 7-9 groups, and seeing all the balloons inflate and take off together was stunning. We did a sunrise hot air balloon ride, so we had to be up at 5am, and leave before 6am because it's about a 30 min ride from Phoenix. When you arrive, you register in and then they will assign you a hot air balloon pilot. Once everything is ready to go, each pilot will call out their own name for guests assigned to them to follow them to a van. Each van then takes each group to a place that's about maybe 20 min away to a different location to where they set up the air balloons to take off. Each pilot will go over key things to be aware off and how to enter into the cabin of the hot air balloon. There's plenty of time allotted to take pictures (lots of people dressed up so they could get cute photos with the hot air balloons as a backdrop), but keep in mind it's so cold early in the morning so you may want to bring a light jacket. After the ride, the pilot cracks open a bottle of champagne and juices so we can toast to an amazing ride. This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it if you can (and for those afraid of heights, I promise the ride itself is smoother than riding a plane, it's the most slow and steady ride you can experience!).

Started small talk with the other people waiting until our instructor Mo showed up. First thing out of his van was beautiful happy golden retriever named Rosa. She just helped set the mood for the rest of the morning. Mo was very friendly and informative. He was very quick with getting all the paperwork out of the way so we could get straight to the action. So easy to sign your life away on a waiver, right?! Continued out to the airstrip to watch Mo get all the equipment set as we sat around with intros and watching Rosa's energy. Quick set of safety instructions and the first person strapped in and was off the ground in minutes. Not that a dog should be the highlight of the flying experience, but Rosa was so excited to watch help set up and chase you down the airstrip. I would say she made the entire experience 30% better. Everyone walked away extremely elated with the experience. Mo was very professional and just a fun overall person to be around. We ended up tipping to basically make up the difference of the discounted Groupon. Well worth the full price of the ride. I always looked around for a friend to do the course with and for the best school to learn at. I finally found the best school but never found a friend that will put their money where their mouth is! First let me tell you about the experience - In one word fantastic! Its fun and challenging! You would be surprised how bad you do under the slightest of pressure, I am a skydiver and do pretty well in the air but flying showed me that I have much more to learn about myself. Why this school? Its small so you will always fly with the same CFI (instructor) and the plane is always available. My schedule is all over the place, Larry was always open to my crazy days and hours, I once wanted to fly on Sunday at 7:30 am and when I asked him if that's okay he says this is my job, work comes first. That should say it all. Being in Arizona we have blue clear skies every day, that is key for doing this fast and cheap! I have a few friends that started and stopped in other schools the main issue was to many different instructors, I was doing approaches to land on my third lesson you can't do that if you switch CFI every lesson. Plane: Cessna 172 (2003). Great ride, well maintain and easy to learn on, Has just the right equipment, before I started I thought I wanted to learn on a plane with a G1000 and full glass. No need, you will pay more for something that you do not need. Don't wait. I waited around for a few years on friends that promised me that we will learn together, now its great if it happens - learning the ground school as a team will help you. But, the reality is your the pilot and your doing it on your own, looking back I am glad I did it alone. More people in the plane the more fuel and less performance = more cost. Price: When I did my shopping around it seamed like this school will cost me more because of Scottsdales fuel cost, but I live in Scottsdale and don't have the time to drive to chandler and back a few times a week. It ended up being cheaper then chandler because of the attention that Larry puts on your cost. He always made sure to be efficient so we don't do things twice. I was ready for my check ride in 45-50 hours. Tips, Everyone is going to tell you the same and its true, try to do it all in one shoot, 2,3 or even 4 lessons a week and read the PTS and other ground material from day one. Look for youtube videos on weather and other things you don't know. Get the test out of the way. I took a 5 week break and that cost me over $1000 learning how to land again don't do breaks. And try to pace it so that your check ride is in the winter. Last, when you go to Aerodyne flight center tell them I send you :)

His flight instructor was funny but made sure everyone understood the hand signals. Answered questions etc. Grandson really loved his time. Very professional and they they really want the kids to have a good time. Also they were extremely helpful in a tough situation. I, I MADE a horrible mistake. I thought I had made my grandson's birthday flight for Sunday Feb15 at 2:30 PM. I did not realize that I had actually made it for Saturday Feb 14. Even though I read all the warning about cancellations etc. I called to ask if they could do anything for me because I could not disappoint my grandson. I believe it was Jackson who was very sympathetic and said he'd help me because they never want a disappointed kid. They did not have to do that per their website. One other issue is that I had paid for the video and pictures but I did not see it in the email. I called 3 days later to inquire and the person promised to fix it right away. In their defense I had made the reservation for Saturday so that could have caused the issue. The fact that he got the video and pictures out right away was fantastic. Also the videos were extremely good quality and better than our 2 phones. The instructor made sure of it because he positioned my grandson in front of their camera which made a big difference. He also positioned him in front of my wife since he saw her taking videos. Obviously I can't say enough good things about them. Well worth the money.
