Holy. Shit. What an absolutely insane experience…read more I went skydiving and got paired up with an instructor named Joel, and let me just say -- this guy is a total badass. From the second we geared up, he made me feel completely safe while also hyping me up like we were about to jump into a damn action movie. When we hit altitude and that door opened, my heart was pounding out of my chest. I looked at Joel and he just grinned like, "Let's f***ing do this." And then we were out. Free. Falling. The rush was unreal. The wind, the speed, the pure adrenaline -- it's the most alive I've ever felt. I was screaming, laughing, probably swearing my head off, and Joel was calm as hell, steering us through the sky like it was just another Sunday. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the freefall felt like the longest, wildest roller coaster drop of my life. Then the parachute deployed smooth as hell, and suddenly everything went quiet and peaceful. We just floated there, taking in the view, and I couldn't stop saying, "This is so f***ing cool." Joel was professional, hilarious, confident, and made the whole thing unforgettable. If you're even thinking about skydiving -- stop overthinking it and just book it. Ask for Joel. You won't regret a damn thing. When the chute was open and we were approaching landing Joel taps me and said "look at the altimeter, you see that this is when we want to stop making big maneuvers and start slowing down, lucky for you I'm not a student and I'm the instructor." And then spun us into an insane spiral before jerking us up into a momentary weightlessness. It was exhilarating. To top it off, Joel also did a little spiritual/mindfulness/mentalization exercise midair. The dude made the experience not just adrenaline filled, but also made it into some type of therapy session with my heart rate in the 190's. Absolutely legendary fucking experience. Cassandra and Ethan at the front desk made it even better from check in to explaining everything. It was all around an amazing experience and they all are such great people. 10/10. Would jump out of a perfectly good airplane again.

A morning of high flying action!…read more Where to begin?! So travelled down to Maricopa on a Groupon. Not really sure what to expect as you pull up to a small hanger near the local airfield. Started small talk with the other people waiting until our instructor Mo showed up. First thing out of his van was beautiful happy golden retriever named Rosa. She just helped set the mood for the rest of the morning. Mo was very friendly and informative. He was very quick with getting all the paperwork out of the way so we could get straight to the action. So easy to sign your life away on a waiver, right?! Continued out to the airstrip to watch Mo get all the equipment set as we sat around with intros and watching Rosa's energy. Quick set of safety instructions and the first person strapped in and was off the ground in minutes. Not that a dog should be the highlight of the flying experience, but Rosa was so excited to watch help set up and chase you down the airstrip. I would say she made the entire experience 30% better. Everyone walked away extremely elated with the experience. Mo was very professional and just a fun overall person to be around. We ended up tipping to basically make up the difference of the discounted Groupon. Well worth the full price of the ride. (You'll read in all my reviews that I big supporter of local businesses) Biggest tip...bring a warm jacket and gloves!

Check-in is at 6:15 a.m., so it's an early start, but it was completely worth it. After checking in, you're taken by van to the launch site, where the balloons are set up right in front of you. There were about 7-9 groups, and seeing all the balloons inflate and take off together was stunning. The operation is very well staffed, with multiple crew members (about 4) per balloon plus a tour guide, which helps explain the cost. Our guide, Jesse, was fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better overall. Highly recommend!

We did a sunrise hot air balloon ride, so we had to be up at 5am, and leave before 6am because it's about a 30 min ride from Phoenix. When you arrive, you register in and then they will assign you a hot air balloon pilot. Once everything is ready to go, each pilot will call out their own name for guests assigned to them to follow them to a van. Each van then takes each group to a place that's about maybe 20 min away to a different location to where they set up the air balloons to take off. Each pilot will go over key things to be aware off and how to enter into the cabin of the hot air balloon. There's plenty of time allotted to take pictures (lots of people dressed up so they could get cute photos with the hot air balloons as a backdrop), but keep in mind it's so cold early in the morning so you may want to bring a light jacket. After the ride, the pilot cracks open a bottle of champagne and juices so we can toast to an amazing ride. This was an incredible experience and I highly recommend it if you can (and for those afraid of heights, I promise the ride itself is smoother than riding a plane, it's the most slow and steady ride you can experience!).

My grandson had a fantastic 14th birthday there! Everyone was very helpful from the front desk to…read morethe instructors. His flight instructor was funny but made sure everyone understood the hand signals. Answered questions etc. Grandson really loved his time. Very professional and they they really want the kids to have a good time. Also they were extremely helpful in a tough situation. I, I MADE a horrible mistake. I thought I had made my grandson's birthday flight for Sunday Feb15 at 2:30 PM. I did not realize that I had actually made it for Saturday Feb 14. Even though I read all the warning about cancellations etc. I called to ask if they could do anything for me because I could not disappoint my grandson. I believe it was Jackson who was very sympathetic and said he'd help me because they never want a disappointed kid. They did not have to do that per their website. One other issue is that I had paid for the video and pictures but I did not see it in the email. I called 3 days later to inquire and the person promised to fix it right away. In their defense I had made the reservation for Saturday so that could have caused the issue. The fact that he got the video and pictures out right away was fantastic. Also the videos were extremely good quality and better than our 2 phones. The instructor made sure of it because he positioned my grandson in front of their camera which made a big difference. He also positioned him in front of my wife since he saw her taking videos. Obviously I can't say enough good things about them. Well worth the money.
