Love playing there but dread going there. Never fails when the owner is constantly yelling and aggressive with almost everybody. Gives directives and contradicts himself. Telling people that there is no recording unless given permission by the staff. Then confronts some kids about who gave them permission to record and when they tell him, he says that he is the only one that can give permission. Funny thing was that I was next to the reff that gave those kids permission. I've been going there for years and there is always something with that dude. I think I've had enough of that guys attitude, going somewhere else. read more

Splatter ranch - west world paintball is so much better in every way. Fighter town is a nightmare. The absolute worst experience, ever. Took my kids and kids' friends here and played along with them. Staff yells at you and says you're cheating by putting your gun on auto, and refuses to comprehend how our markers literally capped slower on auto, than when we shoot them on uncapped semi auto. Nobody's markers we're on automatic, that's just what years of practice on a good, $3,000 marker looks like. Really don't comprehend how you're supposed to get anyone out by shooting 1bps when they're at their start, and we're at ours. Son almost got into a physical altercation with another player here, and we had the entire thing on GoPro video. He basically held another player on the other team hostage, pointing his marker directly at the other players chest within an inches of the other marker. Son very clearly tells him to call himself out, because he didn't want to shoot someone from that close. The other player didn't respond, so my son repeated again "If you move your gun I'm shooting you, I'm on the other team call out". Other players started moving gun, my son shoots, and then the other player gets extremely angry. He starts yelling and at my son and acting very violently. Staff then calls both my son and the man out, and sat out my son for multiple games. We showed staff the footage over and over again that clearly shows my son innocent, but nothing changed. That was the second, and only time we'll only be going. They were forced to read the rules for some reason, and no rules were broken. Which makes the next thing that happened even more ironic. Now, back out the field in one of the fields my son's friend hoisted my son up onto his shoulders. This allowed them to show over a wall, that if someone was tall enough they'd be able to shoot over anyways. There was absolutely zero rules about this at all, yet it got them kicked out and got them verbally assaulted by the manager. He started yelling at them in front of me calling them stupid and how it should be so obvious you can't do that, and said "there's no rule that says you can't shoot the red truck in the parking lot, but obviously you know not to do that" (I assume he was referring to his own truck but could be anyone's) to which I informed him how laws are very much rules, and that would definitely be illegal, then asked him politely to please not talk like that to me and my kids. The experience here was single handedly the worst one I've ever had in any paintball establishment, anywhere. The fields are also terribly flawed, and just consist of everyone just shooting in one direction for the entire game, with no one ever winning. This place is a joke, save yourself the trouble and go to splatter ranch - west world paintball instead. read more

Never coming back here again..... Owner is aggressive and annoying. A few things that make it a place I don't want to come back to: - only face and torso shots count - they don't switch sides on each field. - they only allow custom guns to shoot with one finger..... (yea, don't use the marker you paid money for) - 13 year old refs - lots of blind firing and friendly fire. - a few people shooting hot and after asking refs to check them they never did. Came here with a party of 20 promise to get games in private via email. We probably only got 2 private games and a few public games. Don't recommended this place for a big private party. I've been going to Fightertown for about 10 years now. This is easily the best paintball facility in the valley. The fields (4 at the time of writing this review) are thoughtfully constructed to provide varying experiences. Admission/paint prices here are very reasonable and have remained the same since I began playing here a decade ago. Also, unlike other fields I have been to, the owner of Fightertown very clearly makes player safety his #1 priority by ensuring all new players receive a hands-on orientation and that everyone follows the rules throughout the day. Overall, Fightertown provides the best paintball experience in Arizona for new and old players alike. I have brought many friends to Fightertown for their first paintball experience and all of them have left with only positive things to say. I hope I see you out there! read more

I have to say this is an awesome field to play at! I recommend everyone of all skill to come here. Henry is phenomenal! He's awesome; he's always helping out the new guys and answering all their questions. After the games he'll come up to every one and asking if we're ok and if we had fun! He has a water fan and he goes around cooling all of us down. He truly is amazing! Excellent customer service!!! The fields are awesome! They're are 4 different fields to Play on and they all are a pretty good size. I've been coming here for years and fighter town never lets me down! I always meet new and awesome people here. They just recently added a shop where you can buy some gear other than paint. Fighter town is growing and I'm happy to be apart of it! They are adding night games for the summer! So I've only been paint-balling maybe a year now, but this is by far my favorite field to play at and from my own experiences and talking with friends it is probably the best field in Arizona. Yes it can be a bit of a drive from different parts of North Phoenix(Scottsdale in my case), but it is well worth it. There are a total of 5 fields, though I have never played Field 4 due to my groups always being rather large. Field 1 is a massive course with empty trailers and cars, downed helicopters, trenches, and buildings/rooms to go in and out of. Field 2 and 3 are smaller versions of the above with Field 3 having a maze of rooms and trenches for close quarter combat. Field 4 is a small speed ball type layout and Field 5 is mainly trenches with a bunch of fortified bunkers. The rentals are very good and Henry the owner is super helpful if you have any type of issues with your equipment. It caters to both experienced players and complete rookies like myself. Last time I played the entry fee was around $20 and for another $10 you got full rentals, gear, and air. The paint they sell is reasonably priced compared to other local fields and they also allow you to bring your own paint as long as they approve it. From what other players have told me, their rental guns are really solid compared to most other fields. They stress safety big time and don't mess around, so if you are an idiot or cowboy who is trying to hurt people you aren't going to be allowed onto the fields. The refs seem to always be on the ball and helpful in explaining rules., performing paint checks, even helping fix your fancy new paintball gun when it suddenly stops working. They seem super kid friendly as I often see birthday parties being thrown for kids as young as 6-10. If you are going to paintball in Phoenix, it is pretty hard to come up with a reason to play anywhere else other than Fightertown Paintball...short of the fact it is all outdoors compared to an indoor field. The only negative I can think of really isn't that big of a deal. Like most fields the more experienced players tend to flock to the same side so you often will find one side full of mainly rookie players with rentals and the other side full of experienced players. The refs occasionally try and split up the newbie players(typically guys with rentals) 50/50 so the teams are evenly matched, but making a more concerted effort might improve game play a bit more for the rookies. Overall this is a minor issue...and is dependent on who happens to be playing on a given day. My favorite field is easily FIELD 1 given its size and your ability to move around - plus there are multiple flags throughout the field so you can play different scenarios - capture the flag, elimination, hostage rescue and extraction, VIP escort etc. FIELD 3 and 2 are fun and I'd love it if they played more often on FIELD 2 which is a blast. Field 5 is probably my least favorite field but that is just because I get my ass handed to me every time I play it. I have yet to play on FIELD 4 but that is because you need a small group for that field given the speed ball layout and size. One other suggestion: it would be cool if the refs would vary things up occasionally with more scenario type games in between the elimination games: say like capture the flag, doing a SEAL vs. Terrorist hostage extraction game, having a game with medics who can bring players back to life, and also maybe having some props like duffel bags for a bank robbery vs. cops "HEAT" type scenario. Making certain players head shot only because they are wearing "imaginary" body armor, etc etc. Overall this paintball park kicks ass. If you like paintball then you will like playing it. read more

People also complain about young referees, well yeah, of course you need young refs would you rather have a young ref that's played the game regularly or would you want some dude who's never played, just saying that most of the reasons for bad ratings I've seen are based on customer service, honestly suck it up, welcome to paintball. read more

Fightertown Paintball Park is a fantastic place to hold a private event! Rugby Arizona held a private fundraising event at Fightertown and were extremely pleased with the service we received. The owner, Henry Ruiz, was a joy to work with. He was very accommodating and provided a great atmosphere. There were plenty of employees to help with distribution of gear and referees on the fields. All participants received a mask, chest/back protector, paintball gun with unlimited air refills. We received a case of paintballs for every 8 participants. We had plenty of paintballs for everyone. The games were rotated among three separate arenas lasting approximately 15-20 minutes each. We had a 5-10 minute break in between games. We rented the facility for 4 hours and we definitely received value for money. All of our participants were surprised by the amount of playing time they received. Another nice aspect was that we were able to bring our own water and snacks. I would highly recommend booking a private event at Fightertown Paintball. As a youth athletic organization, the majority of the attendees were grade school to high school children. The children really enjoyed having the place to themselves without the "professional sharp shooters" as the children called them! We will be holding a private event at Fightertown on an annual basis for Rugby Arizona! read more

Went here the last time I played. Location wise, it's a bit of a maze to get there. But very fun to play at. Service: They had outstanding customer service and very friendly staff. The field staff were running 2 groups of players that day (1 for airsoft and 1 for paintball). They pretty well run to have games going with little down time in between. Cost: They are fairly priced, but get you with the city tax (only place to do that). Paint costs are also pretty reasonable with other fields like Ft Adobe. Fields: This is the only place I've ever been to in Arizona that was recball only. The fields were well laid out and fun to play. I think there was 4 fields total, but maybe it might be 3. Didn't really count them. I had a ton of fun playing here and could tell I'm out of shape. The open ravine field was very challenging (for me at least and left me winded) but fun. They are well built and have a lot of props (helicopter and vehicles) to add to the realism of the look. Overall: Even though I came here by myself, I had a great time. The other players were pretty friendly and welcomed all the new younger players. Great place for a family outing with fun for all. This place has all levels of experienced players. read more

Took a friend's 12 year old to Fightertown for a Saturday night game. Gotta admit this looks like fun! Pros: Huge huge huge area to play Fields are split and rotated for paintball and airsoft Decent price Friendly staff Good referees on the field to keep it safe and legal Excellent safety requirements on equipment Night games in the summer are interesting Cons Way too cliquey with people who go there Customers were not as friendly or open as they could be Much older group of people (guys from 20s to 40s) playing Army ranger with $1000s in gear. Needs better integration for younger players -maybe the refs could help buddy younger players with older ones? Porta-potties .... yuck Final Verdict: This would be a great place to come with a group of friends. If you come by yourself, you might feel left out (or singled out) in the games. For a more inviting group of people, try the indoor APC arena in Phoenix. My friend's 12 year old says this is his favorite. Probably a better option for pre-teens and teens. read more

The staffing is great but they let the same assholes continue to play would recommend after they get rid of some of the players playing. I have always had a good time playing airsoft but they let players in that will full auto you after the games concluded 100 times over and give them the benefit of the doubt. Great place and community of regulars is nice but you have a lot of Hpa pricks that play the game. If you want to play airsoft I would recommend only playing until about 3:00pm. Around 3pm is when the guys that don't wanna play the game right show up. read more

First off, the owners business ethics are horrendous! He literally told all of us "rentals" (which is what they all call you if you don't have a custom gun) that if we have a "problem " then just leave and we don't need your business. A problem which would be "you" the paying customer were to voice any kind of complaint or concern. You the paying customer mean nothing against their "regulars" the refs are in cahoots with their buddy's the "regulars" be prepared to not be heard or expressed once his goons start cheating and ganging up on the "rentals" the refs are understaffed and no experienced in paintball as a few of them look like they are 13yrs old. The owner is also very AGGRESSIVE in every way. We will never come back to this field. Amazing time. Took a group of 13 year olds out for a day of airsoft wars. What a great time they had. First of all the staff here is amazing - from check in all the way to out on the fields. Friendly, helpful and very interactive with everyone there at the same time keeping safety as their #1 priority. Also the owner was very involved in all that was going on as well. He even went above and beyond and helped us with a gun situation we were having. There are 3 fields and the staff did a great job keeping games rotating between paintball and airsoft. Paintball would be on one field and Airsoft on a separate field. They would stagger the starts of the games so there were no issues knowing when and where to go for each new game. I will also say there were all ages and types of people at the park and everyone just hung out like they all knew each other. Just a great day all in all. Plenty of places to sit and mostly all shaded. We took our cooler filled with waters and lots of snacks for between games. read more

Great park great staff .. Came in from Salt Lake City and couldn't have asked for a better time . The fields are great plenty of area to relax after a hard fought game and they keep things moving so you get tons of game time .. The staff was great and very helpful . If I had one negative (and I have to look hard for one ) it would be the ref's could keep a little closer eye on the "regulars " as with any field the Regulars are not very good with calling themselves out .. The customer service here is great the staff was helpful and friendly. The reason for the three stars is due to some of the "regulars" not following the rules and not walking when they are hit and not crononing there guns to the 280 mark. When the referee was told about this I was informed they will try and watch them next round. Would not recommend the night shoot for this reason alone. I was looking for a place to take my older boys to play but with such disregard for the rules this is not the place for me to take my kids. Was really hoping this was going to be a fun night turned out just frustrating when you repeatedly hit someone in the chest and even a head shot and then not walking off. This whole group just made this experience not fun. Update Went back last night they have definitely changed things for the better same awesome staff but players are being cronoed more then once when they walk on the field to prevent people from turning up their guns after they have been cronoed read more

Outstanding paintball experience. Super excellent customer service. We brought two adults and 6 kids for my son's13th birthday party. Henry went out of his way from the first phone call to insure we would have a great party. Most reasonably priced experience in the valley as compared to Cowtown or Splatter ranch. The trenching was a bonus feature to fight in. Their local rule of head, chest or back shots being the only that take you out of the game made the fight more realistic. The refs were super attentive and flexible concerning game set up. So appreciated the 5 diverse fields and ability for us to have our own field for private play. This is how a recreational business should be run. The competitors should take lessons because now this is the only field we will be playing on. read more

Went to this facility on a Sunday morning last week. Not too many people turned out to play. Maybe 20 or so but it was a blast. Everyone was very nice. The staff were courteous and respectful of not on the players, but each other as well. The fields are great and pretty even as far as advantage goes to either side. Compressors filled to 4500psi, many different grades of paint available. You can buy their paint or BYOP. I even had a chat with the field owner after the last game. He's very personable and has been playing for many years and knows the game and the industry. This field caters to those rec ballers out to have fun and to new players looking to learn. No speedball/hyperball at this place which is fine by me. After my experience here I now consider it my home field. read more
