I've been going to Fightertown for about 10 years now. This is easily the best paintball facility in the valley. The fields (4 at the time of writing this review) are thoughtfully constructed to provide varying experiences. Admission/paint prices here are very reasonable and have remained the same since I began playing here a decade ago. Also, unlike other fields I have been to, the owner of Fightertown very clearly makes player safety his #1 priority by ensuring all new players receive a hands-on orientation and that everyone follows the rules throughout the day. Overall, Fightertown provides the best paintball experience in Arizona for new and old players alike. I have brought many friends to Fightertown for their first paintball experience and all of them have left with only positive things to say. I hope I see you out there!

I have to say this is an awesome field to play at! I recommend everyone of all skill to come here. Henry is phenomenal! He's awesome; he's always helping out the new guys and answering all their questions. After the games he'll come up to every one and asking if we're ok and if we had fun! He has a water fan and he goes around cooling all of us down. He truly is amazing! Excellent customer service!!! The fields are awesome! They're are 4 different fields to Play on and they all are a pretty good size. I've been coming here for years and fighter town never lets me down! I always meet new and awesome people here. They just recently added a shop where you can buy some gear other than paint. Fighter town is growing and I'm happy to be apart of it! They are adding night games for the summer! I highly recommend coming here you'll have a great time ! I know I'll be coming here for many years to come! Easily a 5 star for me.

So I've only been paint-balling maybe a year now, but this is by far my favorite field to play at and from my own experiences and talking with friends it is probably the best field in Arizona. Yes it can be a bit of a drive from different parts of North Phoenix(Scottsdale in my case), but it is well worth it. There are a total of 5 fields, though I have never played Field 4 due to my groups always being rather large. Field 1 is a massive course with empty trailers and cars, downed helicopters, trenches, and buildings/rooms to go in and out of. Field 2 and 3 are smaller versions of the above with Field 3 having a maze of rooms and trenches for close quarter combat. Field 4 is a small speed ball type layout and Field 5 is mainly trenches with a bunch of fortified bunkers. The rentals are very good and Henry the owner is super helpful if you have any type of issues with your equipment. It caters to both experienced players and complete rookies like myself. Last time I played the entry fee was around $20 and for another $10 you got full rentals, gear, and air. The paint they sell is reasonably priced compared to other local fields and they also allow you to bring your own paint as long as they approve it. From what other players have told me, their rental guns are really solid compared to most other fields. They stress safety big time and don't mess around, so if you are an idiot or cowboy who is trying to hurt people you aren't going to be allowed onto the fields. The refs seem to always be on the ball and helpful in explaining rules., performing paint checks, even helping fix your fancy new paintball gun when it suddenly stops working. They seem super kid friendly as I often see birthday parties being thrown for kids as young as 6-10. If you are going to paintball in Phoenix, it is pretty hard to come up with a reason to play anywhere else other than Fightertown Paintball...short of the fact it is all outdoors compared to an indoor field. The only negative I can think of really isn't that big of a deal. Like most fields the more experienced players tend to flock to the same side so you often will find one side full of mainly rookie players with rentals and the other side full of experienced players. The refs occasionally try and split up the newbie players(typically guys with rentals) 50/50 so the teams are evenly matched, but making a more concerted effort might improve game play a bit more for the rookies. Overall this is a minor issue...and is dependent on who happens to be playing on a given day. My favorite field is easily FIELD 1 given its size and your ability to move around - plus there are multiple flags throughout the field so you can play different scenarios - capture the flag, elimination, hostage rescue and extraction, VIP escort etc. FIELD 3 and 2 are fun and I'd love it if they played more often on FIELD 2 which is a blast. Field 5 is probably my least favorite field but that is just because I get my ass handed to me every time I play it. I have yet to play on FIELD 4 but that is because you need a small group for that field given the speed ball layout and size. One other suggestion: it would be cool if the refs would vary things up occasionally with more scenario type games in between the elimination games: say like capture the flag, doing a SEAL vs. Terrorist hostage extraction game, having a game with medics who can bring players back to life, and also maybe having some props like duffel bags for a bank robbery vs. cops "HEAT" type scenario. Making certain players head shot only because they are wearing "imaginary" body armor, etc etc. Overall this paintball park kicks ass. If you like paintball then you will like playing it.

Kids have had an amazing time in the trench course

Fantastic paintball park. Four different fields and all way different. We played almost 3 games an hour during our 4 hour stay here. I brought eight 12 year olds and they had a blast Make sure you bring your own food and drinks, but I saw papa johns deliver too.

Best outdoor rec field in AZ. Great for walk on players with no experience, affordable rentals, and safe place to learn the basics of paintball or airsoft.

Zombie WarZ makes sure that innocent civilians are prepped to rise to such an occasion! What a better way to keep the zombies at bay by shooting them?! Well at least, safely, with paintball guns! Often the biggest question I'm asked is: "Do you also get shot at?" Luckily, no you do not. Zombies do not shoot paintball guns so you are safe from getting hit! Instead, you ride military like vessels driving around to zombie infested areas with mounted paintball guns ready for action! Zombie WarZ is very family friendly! Our group of 30+ people had a couple kiddos and they just had a blast! Like I mentioned earlier, the paintball guns are mounted so they are safe from kids, and adults..., from shooting themselves or any humans. You can still point the guns up and down and side to side so targeting is still feasible! The front end of the truck holds 9 civilians, and the double decker trailer had the rest of our crew. Each part of the truck had a soldier helping us with ammo if needed and adjusting our guns if needed (especially if a novice like I accidentally switches the safety on and can't shoot anything).. Becky (or Becca?) our soldier was amazing! She was animated and so much fun! There were also rock tunes playing to get us in the zombie shooting mood! We definitely all enjoyed our experience immensely!

The knowledge of the salespeople however, isn't as good. I get better answers from AI on my phone while standing at the counter. The online reservation system is AWFUL!!! The website is difficult to navigate unless you read by picture. Looks more like multiple flyers glued to a screen that have hidden links in some, but not others. When you select a date, time, and location you end up with the right date and location, but varying times. I booked for 2 people for the 12pm - 4pm session and ended up with one at 12pm and the other @ 4:30pm. = 1 star The staff is friendly and generally helpful in getting issues worked out. That definitely helps, but with all of the online reservation stuff that has to be un-FUBARed, it takes away from the experience and play time. I'm not a web designer, but with most people using technology to purchase goods, services, and experiences, you'd think they'd do some market research to gather feedback on how to build a user-friendly website. We made a reservation for a large group of 24 people and spent over $1,300 for 2 hours of play. When we first arrived, we were the only group there until a family of 3 walked in later. There were about 8 tables available, yet staff told our large group we could only use 2 tables while the building was practically empty. The biggest issue started when staff accused our group of taking another family's paintballs. Without properly checking, an employee reached directly into OUR paid paintball supply and took two full bags to give to the other group. That was completely unacceptable. Later, while our entire team was actively in a session playing, staff accused us AGAIN of taking paintballs, even though nobody from our group was even in the staging area. We paid a large amount to be there -- we were certainly not stealing anyone's paintballs. The staff also repeatedly yelled at our kids over things that were never properly explained during the safety briefing. We were told to make sure the guns had air after each round, but then the boys were yelled at for airing them without paintballs loaded. If there are specific rules, they need to be clearly communicated instead of staff immediately getting aggressive with children. One staff member in particular seemed focused only on our group, constantly yelling at our players for accidental ground shots while ignoring the exact same behavior from the other group. At one point, the employee even started arguing back and forth with one of our parents, which was extremely unprofessional. The actual paintball games were fun, and the kids enjoyed themselves, but the customer service was terrible. Staff were rude, accusatory, and unprofessional throughout the experience. Because of the way our group was treated, I would never return to this location or recommend it to others.
