I love this place. Sometimes I come in here and walk around while my kid's are at their gymnastics next door. Nice combo of new and used. Some of the used stuff is dirt cheap (price-wise). Like garage sale cheap. It's great. They might have the most interesting collection of fishing gear for sale I think I have ever seen from a smaller sporting goods store- vintage rods, reels, lures. I drove out from Yuma for this place, which already tells you I was on a mission. They let me try every machine like I was at a gym with zero membership fees. I ended up buying a rower, an elliptical, and a rope trainer. somehow i walked out with a softball glove with a couple of softballs, a baseball, and a couple tennis balls. At this point I was basically building a small sporting goods section in my house. The bigger items were bulky, so they offered shipping. The price was totally reasonable and the stuff showed up fast, right to my place in Yuma. Everything arrived in excellent shape, no surprises, no headaches. Instead of taking accountability for your poor customer service, you doubled down with deflection and personal attacks. I wasn't "arguing," I was asking basic questions about shipping--questions that any business should be able to handle professionally. Your employee wasn't mistreated--I simply asked for clarification after getting vague and dismissive responses. Then you got on the phone and made it worse. You absolutely mentioned how time-consuming it would be to "custom make a box" and strongly implied the labor cost would make it unreasonable--then quoted "$80-$120" it was clear: you didn't want to bother with it, and you spoke to me like my business didn't matter. Calling out poor service is not "lying." It's giving other potential customers a heads-up. If this is how you treat people who ask legitimate questions, I stand by every word of my review. Instead of accusing your customers of dishonesty, maybe take a hard look at how you're running your business. His attitude fits his name perfectly. What a "CHAD" ----- CHAD is Absolutely terrible with his customer service skills. His name suits his attitude perfectly. lol. Chad (The owner) was incredibly rude and dismissive from the start. I tried to buy a simple pair of lightweight ski poles online so I called for the shipping price and asked straightforward questions about their shipping process. Instead of helpful answers, I got cut off repeatedly and talked down to. He said he doesn't like to ship items that are very used, even though I saw the photos and accepted the beat up condition of the poles. He then (created another excuse) and bizarrely claimed it would take 45 minutes to make a box and wanted to charge me $80-$120 for labor--just to ship ski poles. He insisted they "ship all the time," but clearly haven't figured out how to do it efficiently. Shipping should've been $15-$26, not a full-blown meltdown. Save yourself the headache and shop literally anywhere else. I can get the same poles on EBay for only $12-$28 shipping cost. What a lazy joke this guy is. read more

These guys and gals are great! I've bought countless gently used items to help my kids get started in a new sports. This season is softball. It's expensive to outfit your kid for a new sport like softball but we were able to get her a glove $20 , bat ($65 this was the only new item and since I saved elsewhere it felt like a fun splurge) , bat bag $12 and helmet for $20. Pants and belts were new and less expensive than Amazon. This is my first stop for all sporting equipment hands down. And...an awesome selection of Goodr Sunglasses. read more

I have been going to C & S since they were on 7th street. They have outfitted two kids through dozens of sports and activities and almost always have just what I am looking for. From traditional sports equipment like baseball, basketball, and football, to gear for snowboarding or a boxing class, it is my go to. Now as the kids are getting older, I still find my self there regularly be it for golf staples or my referee and umping stuff. The prices are great, the staff is helpful. The only down side is explaining to my wife why I need more sports gear. read more

I'm in the thick of T-Ball season for two toddlers... Thank goodness they are on the same team as I cannot imagine having more than two games per week + the practice we try to do as well. Unfortunately we somehow lost my daughter's glove a few games into the season! We realized it on a game day and when I attempted to have my daughter borrow a glove from the other team, she decided to have a tantrum. The glove we borrowed didn't feel good on her hand! So... the next day I found myself near C & S and decided to pay them a visit. Cyrus helped me out and quickly found me a perfect replacement glove for my daughter. They had a decent selection, and I found one that would fit her perfectly. It was worn in just right, and luckily it was black with a tad bit of pink. I also found a bat for my kids and a football! I ended up spending more money than I anticipated but was glad to hear about the rewards program that C & S offers. They track your spending and offer store credit when you reach a certain limit. They buy, sell, trade and consign new and used sporting goods and fitness equipment of all kinds, so I am sure we'll end up returning our "old" and purchasing new or used stuff as my kids grow up. Prices seem reasonable but don't expect any major bargains! They also update their inventory online, so you can always search their site before you go... happy shopping! read more

I'm talking I have saved THOUSANDS of dollars!! No, we're not color coordinated, but at that price, who cares??? We even got a crazy steal on an amazing underwater camera. I love this place. It has sporting-goods equipment for everybody, whether you are a fisherman, or a Bowler, or a weightlifter, or a golfer, or whatever. The equipment seems split, about 50-50, between new and used. All of the used equipment looks to be in pretty good shape and decently priced, although I don't think you will find too many amazing deals. Still, this is one of the better sporting equipment stores that I know and should have what you need for a price you are willing to pay. read more

The staff here are helpful and knowledgeable staff about the products they sell. They have a decent selection of boxing gloves. On recommendation of a friend, I visited this store. Chad was a great help, I traded in a good treadmill for a new stationary bike due to knee problems. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with friendly attitude and they kinda let me know they were there if I needed help. . They allowed me to take the bike outside for a spin . I liked it. I paid .
