Pure heaven for me, I am an avid dart player and work in a dart shop in California, let me tell you this place is magnificent. A wide range of darts, Shot Darts, Red Dragon, Laserdarts and even their own custom Shot Darts (I had to get a set). The staff was extremely knowledgeable of the products, which I loved hearing. The price of the darts were very reasonable especially for the different amounts they had. Kudos to Bill Christensen for going above and beyond. I belong to the American Legion Post 138 n they were in need of all their pool cue tips replaced. I must have called 20 various billiard businesses n ended up speaking to Bill at Shoot The Bull. He answered all my questions n quoted a great price for all 6 cue sticks to be repaired with new tips. Went to the store the next day on a Saturday n he took the time to replace the tips right away so we didn't have to leave the cue sticks n come back another time. I'd also like to give a shout out to Lance Loisel who also was very friendly n gave me a tour of the place while I waited to get the cue tips fixed. Love this place! I'm a novice dart and pool player. First time I was in to get my first set of decent darts and Bill took his time offerings different sets for me to try and watching how I was throwing and offering suggestions to help me improve. Left with a set I've been very happy with. Went back another time to get my first pool cue and again Bill gave me lots of information and choices. Been really happy with the one I left with. I'm brand new to darts and after about a month of using cheapo WalMart stuff I decided to check this place out. Glad I did. Bill (the owner?) spent a lot of time educating me on the different styles of darts, shafts and flights as well as different weight distributions and how they effect the throw. He then recommended a set of darts for me and let me throw them for a little while to see if they were good for me. They fit my hand and grip perfectly. After about 10 days I decided to go back and get another set, try different length shafts and pick up a new board. They have high quality stuff and the customer service is incredible. Pretty crazy to find myself writing this review for this place. I've been going to Shoot the Bull since 2006 and have always gotten what I needed as far as what they provide. My visits are always mixed. Sometimes I get somebody who seems to go above and beyond and other times no assistance is offered and I rummage through their merchandise to find what I'm looking for so it's a basic transaction. This recent visit I walked in and tripped over a shop vac that they had near the entrance. Okay, no biggie. I get that things like that happen. I walk around the case that they have open as it's the soft tip case and that's the whole purpose of my visit. I grab a dart and go toss it at the board hanging on the wall. This has been customary for every previous set of darts that I've purchased. At this point, I'm asked "Can I help you?!" In an assertive voice. The tone was off though, as if the person (who I think owns this place) was bothered by me being there. Just to clarify, I respond "Do you have a problem with me being here?" In which I got "Well are you going to buy something?" I go on to explain that I've purchased several sets of darts here along with multiple boards. While I'm tossing different darts I'm being stared at like I'm going to steal somethings so I end up telling my friend that we should just head out. If I show up to your business in the middle of the day, I'm going to be dirty since I work on vehicles for a living. If I need to meet some weird criteria for me to be a patron of your business then I guess this isn't the place for me to continue to do business with. I like supporting local business as much as possible, but with experiences like this, I think I'll just start buying my dart and billiard supplies on Amazon since I can get them for a fraction of the cost of getting them from this retail store. Oh well, live and learn and move on. Hopefully nobody else has to undergo this type of service when trying to give a business their hard earned money in exchange for good or services. read more

I went here as a novice and just wanted some simple, inexpensive, starter darts. What I got, was the best shopping experience ever! I'm just blown away with how much time, knowledge, tips and supplies I got. I may have walked in a beginner, but I walked out with a lot more skill and form. I went to shoot the bull over the weekend to buy a new set of darts. I have purchased darts from them in the past and as of late have found my game to be off and was ready to give up the sport. i was a total novice when i went to shoot the bull about a year ago. the staff watched me throw some darts and saw things that needed correcting. they showed me 3 or 4 different types of darts that would help correct some problems. after a year of playing steady, i have gone into stb for various accessories and have had them watch again to see if any other correction need to be done. very knowledgeable staff. always willing to help and give very useful tips and advise. highly recommend this shop! read more
