She greeted us personally and seated us and then when I found bacon bits on my side salad and I am a Pescatarian and she went and offered to trade salads because I was just not going to eat it and she got me a new salad without bacon bets I appreciate her extra effort and even when it wasn't in the extra ever she was still smiling and happy and just very warm. The Malibu chicken with rice pilaf was okay. The salad bar was well stocked. I liked the apple cobbler with ice cream. No cheese bread though with my order? Or rolls? Our waitress only checked on us twice the entire time we were there, and we were there a long time. They stuck our group of seven in a far corner so maybe the waitress forgot about us. Everything will add up here, Guess we didn't know what to expect when we walked in. We didn't understand the salad bar could serve us dinner we thought it was additional to the meal. So for three people we ended up spending $78 not including tip. Food was not very good service was horrible. Our waitress actually went into the bathroom with another waiter for 15 minutes instead of getting us drinks. Call me crazy, but this was the first Sizzler I've ever been to. I know. Weird. But, I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the Sizzler Special (I believe that's the name) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a delicious sweet potato as well for my side dish and was actually surprised at how good it really was. I ordered my steak medium-well, which they actually nailed! (I hope this doesn't discredit me with my friends who enjoy their steak still kicking...) My meal was only $10.99 and filled me up. I believe the steak was 8 oz. Wow how incredibly lame this place is!!! We were invited there for dinner that is the only reason we went! First off I ordered all you can eat salad bar that's what is listed on the menu board! (Don't ever order a steak there they are horrible and never cooked right! ) They told me because of the coronavirus that I could only get 1 trip through and I have to order on a piece of paper what I want on my salad and the server would get it for me why does it say all you can eat? They did not give me my receipt and my money for the tip like they were supposed to. So I went and told her. Well instead of adding the tip to my bill she deducted it from my bill so I had to pay for the tip and what she deducted from my bill. The server was good. Even though I'm allergic to jalapeños and they put them on my taco so I could not eat it, she brought me a new cold taco. What a horrible dinner. The manager was not even apologetic about the mistake instead told me how much more I owed! I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!! Andres the manager cares about his customers. new hire didn't do a great job, he did his by asking if things were ok. He reassured us that hed talk to the waitress as it was her first day and then made me feel assured that it would not be the same case the next time. I just want to say thank you! We were on our way back to northern Utah from southern Utah from a funeral and had stopped in Provo at Sizzlers for dinner. My little daughters dress was dirty from eating so we took it off her. When we left, we forgot the dress! We had already driven for an hour before we realized. We called the store and asked if they could please be so kind as to mail it home to us, and the did! Priority Mail! So impressed, and we thank you so much. Way understaffed, but management at this location is such a joke they will never figure that out. After 10 minutes of waiting at the table with no one coming, we flagged down a bus boy for help. He told a manager who headed out way, but when he found a waitress, he sent her and didn't bother to come over. The manager came over when one of our plates came out (20 minutes apart) and I asked why he didn't come when we were looking for help. He became argumentative and wanted to see my receipt to verify that I was telling the truth about the wait times. After seeing the receipt, he changed from arguing to giving excuses. Neither of which was helpful, managerial, or even adult. The whole experience was shockingly unprofessional. Note: don't waste the money on all you can eat shrimp. Gave only 3 stars because of the service. The food was good. Sizzler steak and salad bar. The steak was cooked med as ordered and had great flavor and was tender. The mushrooms it comes with is a nice touch. Fries were piping hot and cooked perfectly. Salad/buffet bar was stocked and everything looked fresh. The service however ... I don't believe we had any? We had to wave someone down to bring us rolls that were not brought to the table when we were seated as they usually are. Another person dropped off our steak so quickly that I did not get to ask for ketchup, and none was offered even though we had fries. Waved down yet another person for ketchup. And that was the end of our service. No one ever came back again to check on our steak, to ask how anything was, to clear a plate, or even to refill our drinks. No, I don't expect first class wait service at Sizzler, but I do expect some service. read more

The steaks at this location are always over cooked. If you want your steak rare, you're out of luck. Rare is cooked medium well. Anything lower than rare is all well done. The consistency of the steaks the last two times I've eaten at this sizzler have been like ground beef. I think they use meat glue (google it if you don't know what meat glue is) because the texture and color of the steak suddenly changes half way through. The fruit is all unripe and hard, and the pastas all taste like they used a ton of mayo to make. If you have to eat at a sizzler, don't eat at this one. Sizzler is one of my favorite restaurants. The servers do a marvelous job 90% of the time. There are a couple of the servers that I'm just delighted to be in their section when I go. They are very friendly and do a great job of keeping my soda full. The Signature Sizzler has all of what I want on my steak and it's usually done just how I like it. I've gone to other Sizzlers and I have to say that this location is still my favorite. read more

I went here for the first time, my boyfriend and I ordered a steak and mine was smaller than my boyfriends. I ordered a lemonade and they put all the cup full of ice, we lack from service, the waitress were more excited about cleaning the other tables because it was about to be closing time than giving us the service that we deserved. The salad bar was the only positive thing in the restaurant and the only thing that we loved. We are going to come back of course but those details needs to be fix for next time. read more

We're just in Provo for the evening and we spotted a Sizzler on the way to finding our motel and I haven't been to one in years. I'm glad we went back there after checking into our motel as we were really hungry and there was plenty of food! Neither my son or I could finish our mains and everything was really nice. The restaurant was pretty busy but our meals arrived super quick and the salad bar was constantly being topped up. This is the nicest sizzler i have ever been to! it was almost classy! The salad bar stayed refilled and CLEAN. I only had the salad bar, but i didn't order a dish. Their prices are a bit more than other sizzlers i have been to, but their menu is also different. However, the service was not so great. Absolutely awful. My wife has never liked Sizzler, but we went because of a family members choice for a birthday. I've always found that if you order a ribeye, it really is difficult for the restaurant to screw it up, but this Sizzler found a way. $75 for my wife and I and our two kids' meals, and everything was terrible. We were originally planning on going to Ruby River, and I wish we would have, it would have cost the same, and it would have been a million times better. The ribeyes were way too grisly, and they tacked charges of for every little thing. I had half a mind to request a refund, but thought against it due to the occasion. read more

After a long and rigorous week of camping in the wild west, my compadres and I were making our way to the land of salted lakes. On our way up the great highway we stopped in the holiest of holies (Provo). We were all famished and looking for a hearty meal to satiate our groaning stomachs. As we drove past the big ole Y on the mountain we saw a quaint brick restaurant by name of Sizzler. Intrigued, we walked in. The walls were nice, the font was legible, the prices were a little steep if you ask me. Nevertheless, we persisted and ordered the Hibachi chicken. Presentation wise, it was fairly subpar, the meat was garnished with a piece of pineapple, which was felt forced and fell short; an insult to Dole farms worldwide. We are a senior couple who ordered a senior meal with an unlimited salad bar. One of us was not very hungry and so was going to share the salad. We were approached by a waitress and then the manager who told us we had stolen from their salad bar. We were shocked and had our receipt to prove we indeed paid for a senior Malibu Chicken meal with an unlimited salad bar. We offered to pay for the salad plate again. We were harrased by management and very embarrassed. We left without finishing our paid for meal. This was a highly embarrassing and humiliating situation. We will not be at this Sizzler again. So it's sizzler so your not expecting the food to be awesome. But that being said I was unfortunate enough to be served the worst ribs I've ever eaten in my life. They tasted like they had been cooked over a burning grease fire. Wow...am I surprised by the quality and value the Sizzler on University in Provo provides. Steaks were great. Salad bar was perfect. Best Restaurant I have been to When I went to Sizzlers I was excited. I don't eat at restaurant very much because I have ten people in my family. I went there it looked like it had decent food. There was also a lot of T.V.s. My family stood in a twenty minute line so it was pretty busy. When we got to the front my whole family wanted steak because, we heard they have good steak. We ate it fast because it was so good. We found out that they had a ice cream machine. So we got a lot of ice cream. The only problem my family had was waiting in a twenty minute line. I recommend Sizzlers to anyone who likes steaks and ice cream. read more
