A++. I had not been to a Sizzler in many years. Ok decades. My work mates used to go many times when we were near the Tustin location. I admit in the years since I've become a foodie/food snob. But I knew the individual Sizzler owners take pride in their restaurants, and I wanted to see what was new. Los Al did not disappoint. Clean, well staffed. I ordered a 6 oz steak with a baked potato and basic salad (from salad bar). Baked potato and steak cooked and seasoned PERFECTLY. I knew this was a lower level cut of beef, but chef made it beautifully and I enjoyed It. The salad bar lettuce was so much fresher than anything I ever see at Fresh or Lazy Acres salad bar. Even though they were busy for lunch on a Wednesday, it was pretty quiet and they had a popular soccer tournament on the big screen. Many folks there were taking their parent or grandparent and I can see why: solid, good food with value. And very nice staff. Plus not too loud so you can have a conversation. And there were many younger people there for their work lunch. Lots of room. So no waiting. I'm sorry I waited so long to dine here but I will be a frequent guest. read more

Several times prior to this visit, the restaurant would be closed early at around 8pm when we got there. This time we arrived at approximately 8:15 on a Saturday night. When ordering we were told by the cashier that we couldn't order all you can eat salad bar. We were disappointed, but ordered something else. We noticed that people that were already seated were getting seconds on the salad bar. The bar was fully stocked with plenty of food. As we finished up our meal, they began to close everything down. Then all the staff came with large to go containers and helped themselves to the salad bar. Some sat and ate theirs and others put them in bags. I'm disappointed in coming here on 9/4/21 for a lunch date with my husband. It was our to-go place for all-you-can-eat soup salads, Mexico taco, spaghetti meatballs, and wings, etc. But, not anymore they didn't have any of our favorite choices like wings, fried corn fritters, meatballs, fajitas meat, in a nutshell, nothing that we enjoyed in the past! WTF! I asked the server what happened to all the good stuff? He replied Sysco the wholesale delivery truck does not bring any of their inventory that was placed into the order. Really?? How about charging less for the price if you're not providing the good stuff. Maybe, informing your customers before they pay for the meal would be nice. Not making excuses while the restaurant manager is hiding in the back room. Who heard me asking for the manager. Omg! Own up to your responsibility and not make excuses! So it's been a while since we've eaten at Sizzler, decided to go to the sizzler in Los Alamitos and what an experience, first off they took our order as normal than all the tables were dirty with used dishes and plates and cups, I asked the waitress lady to clear a table for us because we literally stood in the middle of the dining room area for probably 5 to 8 minutes, so after waiting so long, I decided to clear a table myself at which time the waitress lady scolded me saying I couldn't do that, she called the guy over that I guess is supposed to clean the tables and he wiped it with a gray dirty rag literally Wiping the crumbs and other debris from the previous customer all over myself and my wife's lap, I ordered a steak and all you can eat shrimp and they brought the steak out pretty quick after looking at the steak. The steak was gray at this point. I was completely disgusted so I spoke to the manager, and I asked him for a refund explaining my Concerns with his staff and food quality. read more

How can you give this restaurant less than a 5 Star when it's been around since 1958 and survived a Chapter 11 bankruptcy? Sizzler changed the way of doing business by having a healthier menu with quarterly offerings. I traditionally order a steak, or combo, or hamburger with a salad bar added in for the difference. You may end up paying $20/adult, but if you select carefully, you can keep it below $15 including tip and get VERY full to binge point I give it 5 STARS for it's consistency, taste, offerings, friendliness, and professionalism. They never complain if you decide to take home some food from the salad bar in a to-go box, as long as you NOT go overboard because they WILL say something and they have that right since the all-you-can-eat salad bar is for in-room dining. August 20, 2018 Wanted to come here for weeks but been trying to lose my 5 lb birthday weight for doctor appointment today....I DID IT! So mini Mac and I came for a late lunch we were greeted by Moses he was very nice very friendly and helpful. In the next few minutes we were approached by Leslie ! It love at first sight I mean it something about her was unique. So as time went on we chatted a little oh man, she was the most outstanding server we have encountered anywhere. Ya all know I never say this stuff unless it is a fact. So Leslie kept drinks filled and cheesy toast flowing....bought clean plates and napkins she was truly wonderful. Now this is the clincher they did not have my shredded beets, I only come here for those. I asked Leslie if they had any more? They pnly had the round slices I do not like them they are too hard. Do ya know what Leslie did? Leslie came back with a small plate of shredded beets she did on her own for me.....almost had me balling like a baby. No one has ever done anything like that for me. I wanted to say goodbye to Leslie but we waited and it was busy so we left.....Leslie we are coming back to see you! Now this woman is very talented she made a beautiful name tag it was gorgeous and she could sell them it was that good. I've been coming to this place for, I want to say, 20 years?! This restaurant is always a nice getaway with the family, they recently updated but it's still very nice. The staff is what made this home to me and has always been welcoming, especially Beverly. Sweetest, quickest and best employee I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. This is my first time coming to a Sizzler and I am not disappointed. I honestly don't know why I never went to one before. Now I don't know if every Sizzler has a salad bar/buffet but this one did and it's very good. Their salad bar has very good options like onion rings, taco bar, soup station, and nachos. It also has a dessert section and ice cream. The customer service is good and the servers are very helpful. I also got a chance to try their 6oz steak and it was very good as well. My wife and I have been here a few times over the last couple years and each time we're not pleased at all and swear we won't ever go back. Well here we are again giving this place another chance. We have always liked the one in Bellflower but this one just has a weird vibe. I'll start with the service which is always so so and then the worst part is the food. I like to get the steak and either shrimp or lobster. Well my steak has been ok but this last time my lobster was literally raw. It was cooked very poorly. I don't know how you mess up a lobster tail because you just steam it. So I told the waitress that it was not fully cooked (I never like to complain) she said no problem and would have them make me another one. Well I got the same thing and the tail actually smelled bad and was oddly shaped?!?! The ice cream was watery that my wife had got from the salad bar. At this point we just wanted to get out of there. After spending that much for what we received that was definitely our last time at this establishment. read more

I had one of the worst salad bar experiences at a Sizzler tonight. The salad bar was very messy looking and needed attention. One of the employees was restocking vegetables and I asked him if he could please refill the head lettuce. He brought a fresh container of head lettuce and used the tongs to put the lettuce in the salad bar container and moved to the side so I could fill my plate. When I walked around to put the other salads on my plate I noticed that he filled the salad bar container with the rest of the head lettuce and used his gloved hands... the same gloved hands that he was touching the salad bar with and most likely a door to enter the kitchen and who knows what else... The coleslaw tasted sour and the seafood salad looked like it had been frozen because it had small white particles in it that looked like cottage cheese. Most of the desserts needed to be filled and the chocolate syrup near the ice cream machine was either not working or empty. Prior to last night, I had not been to a Sizzler in a very long time. I forgot they had a salad bar as well so I was pretty happy when I walked in and saw the salad bar. We showed up around 6pm for dinner..I was so hungry, I had not had anything to eat all day and was just dying to try a steak or something new. I wound up ordering the Malibu chicken with salad bar. The salad bar was just as expected, it was clean and well maintained and had all I needed and then some. I was careful not to overdo it because my dinner was on its way. The chicken was better than expected and came with a baked potato big enough for 2 people. My daughter had the ribs with fries, so amazing! This was a very nice experience, tables were clean and service was amazing and quick too;) Lastly and very important, our server "Beverly" was very friendly, kept our table clean and clean salad bar plates coming. She has a very pretty smile and made us feel very welcome and at home. I just love great service, it makes the entire experience a whole lot better. Thanks you much! If I could give this place a negative I would. I have been going to this sizzler location for 20 years and today I was floored at the quality of food. The cheese bread was just a piece of regular sandwich bread instead of the huge Texas toast bread slice, my baked potato was cold and shriveled and I had to ask for a HOT baked potato. But the quality of meat really turned me off. My steak was medium well and I asked for MEDUIM RARE, the meat was cold and not the thick pieces they used to serve. AND I HAD GRISLE IN EVERY PIECE I bit into. I was so disappointed in the poor quality. The only decent thing was the salad bar. I spent 70.00 for myself and my son and could not even finish my meal. My son ordered the fish which was o.k. Sizzler is known for their steak and they missed the mark. I will go to Outback from now on when I want to eat a good steak. read more

Good customer service and nice :) but my boyfriend and i went here just to get a quick bite to eat and ordered the steak combo with coconut shrimp and the ribs. The steak was the saddest slice i've ever seen with barely any seasoning like someone just put a pinch of salt on the whole thing. I asked my boyfriend how his ribs are and I took a bite.
