Came in today after the new renovation updated sizzler ..... looks pretty cool so far so good service is great. Beverly was awesome. She's constantly checking up on us. Great service and food was good.

Holy nostalgia! I remember going to Sizzler often as a kid in the 90s. Surprised that they are still around. My niece wanted to go somewhere with a salad bar and this place came to mind. The salad and toppings were delicious. I enjoyed that part. The potato fries and meatballs were not good...at all. The beef and vegetable soup was delicious. The pasta salads were good. I didn't have enough room for dessert. My niece who is 8 loved the ice cream though. But what really stood out to me was the fantastic service from everyone who worked there, especially Beverly! She made sure everyone in our party had everything we needed. She was friendly and prompt with everything. Hard worker and hope she gets some kind of praise for this review! I would come back for the salad bar and soups again!

This is another great sizzler location! I think all the locations are revamping their interiors because this one looks updated. The salad bar was well stocked with fresh veggies and foods, tables and seats were clean. I always go for the double Malibu chicken with a baked potato add butter, sour cream, and chives on top. The servers were all so friendly and attentive making sure we had refills on our drinks and cheese toast!

When I am in Los Alamitos with my mom we are going to the only Sizzler that I know is still open!! It hasn't changed: high value, great service, and clean! Booths are super comfortable, the waiter kept the drinks filled up and kept bringing us fresh plates.... The cheese toast is sinfully delicious!! Love the potato skins..... Fresh chocolate brownies in the dessert bar... Great place to hang out and graze....

My daughter had a softball game out here. I was driving by and was excited it has been years since I've been to a Sizzler. We don't have one where I live. It didn't disappoint it was amazing!! It brought back memories with the family! Food and service was outstanding! It's really big inside, lots of seating! I will definitely be back!!

Sweet Potato & Pomegranate Salad. A seasonal addition.

Update time! Five Stars because they take pride in customer service, keeping things clean, food variety & taste. There's plenty of booths & tables in a warm atmosphere. They get plus points for the Salad Bar. Those of us who miss Souplantation will probably understand. I wish prices were lower of course, but the place is quite popular so guests must find it do-able, or at least worth it. Study the menu board featuring Steaks, Lobster, Burgers, etc. There's a Senior Menu with at least 4 entree selections. You can upgrade to include the salad bar so inquire about that. There's a Children's Menu as well. You can also join their e-club. The seasonal salad this time was Sweet Potato & Pomegranate in a dressed lettuce mix & I liked it! There are soups & hot items as well. You can put together all kinds of creative concoctions! Located across from Los Alamitos High School. Ample parking. Great for a solo lunch, a twosome or a group. The staff is very attentive. Oh, and there is that cheese toast!

This was my first time at Sizzler and I was not disappointed with my New York strip steak, it was well seasoned and didn't really need that my A1 sauce either. I ended up getting the build your own salad and baked potato with my steak also. The complimentary garlic cheese bread is worth the hype also. They have a decently sized salad and taco bar also along with soft served ice cream. Our waiter Beverly was amazing too in getting me more lemonade for to go. I was overall very impressed and I look forward to coming back.

We had lunch and the experience was good overall. The staff was welcoming, checked on us often, and kept our drinks refilled. The restaurant was clean and not too busy at 2pm. The unlimited salad bar had lots of choices and everything was fresh. We ordered the Steak with Unlimited Crispy Shrimp and the Malibu Chicken with fries. The fries were soft and tasty, and the cheese toast was delicious with cheese on one side and soft bread on the other. The tiny shrimp came in a large portion the first time but was a little too oily, so we asked for another plate with less oil and it came out much better. The steak was cooked medium rare but turned out chewy, which was disappointing. Aside from that, the food was just okay but the service made the visit even better.

Craving a salad bar so off the Sizzler we go! Consistently good salad bar offerings. Service is excellent! Today I tried the Prime Rib Burger instead of the usual Tri-tip Steak. Burger definitely was a disaapointment. Great bun, lettuce, tomatoes, and dressing but the meat itself was a bit rubbery, like it came out of a steam warmer vs charcoal grill. Definitely stick with the steaks!

I was in the mood for soup, salad, and something filling--and where else can you get all that for a great price? Sizzler, of course! I came right when they opened, and everything was fresh. The food was good, and the server was friendly and attentive. It's always a good sign when staff and regulars greet each other by name--it shows they care and build relationships. Solid experience!

The bread was toasty and the Manx n cheese paired nicely with the sweet and savory pork. The onion straws were perfect for texture. Very good very rich, we should've opted for slaw on the side, but the fries were delicious. I had the grilled cheese and homemade tomato basil bisque soup. That was so darn delicious! The soup is VERY mild in flavor but nice. The cheese to bread ratio was spot on, the bread was toasted perfectly. I ate it by both dipping in the soup and on their own. I ate the Garlic Paradiso with sausage, which was rich in aromatic flavors from the rosemary and creamy. It does lean more on the salty side compared to their red sauce pizzas. The meatballs are so good and I highly recommend ordering some. They're flavorful, juicy, and the tomato sauce that they are in is delicious. Yelp reviews brought us in but the food, the vibe, and Lisa and her family will bring us back when we're back in town. And the music was perfect which makes the vibe too cool. We started with fried artichokes that were perfect, not too much breading and the artichokes were trimmed so you didn't get those tough leaf pieces (pet peeve!) but I would've liked a better sauce than ranch dressing like a lemon aioli or even a creamy light pesto-but I digress and they were fabulous! I had the fresh-made pappardelle bolognese special which was awesome and my son had his favorite pepperoni pizza. TIP: always look at the specials first but I got the feeling looking around that everything is good. I truly struggled with the menu for 10, ok 20 minutes because I wanted EVERYTHING! Seated right next to the kitchen was awesome as I saw all the food come out and was wrapped in fab food aromas making my choice harder. The cheesecake my son ordered was exceptional and our server gave him the works: caramel, chocolate and strawberry sauces and my boosy affogato was great and even though the were out of the biscotti, Lisa's son brought me a pirouette which was very sweet. I'm an espresso snob and this espresso had a smooth, almost sweet, smoky finish that sang to me, so to speak. Folks, if you live in the vicinity, run don't walk and go score some awesome food! Also, she helped move my walker out of the way so it wouldn't block the flow of foot traffic. Kudos to her for that too. The food was... ok... Some mistakes made on the orders, and a few in the party just weren't pleased with their orders - in particular with the fish and chips, they both said it seemed like it was frozen and whipped up quick - the texture and taste was off. My order was the roast beef melt with chillies. It came with the roast beef and chilies, but then had sauerkraut and thousand island dressing, like the chef just lost track of what he was making half way through? I lived with it as we had already waited to start eating as there was an error between salad and sandwich for another order, and I was hungry and didn't want to hold things up further. Again, they were friendly and fixed the things we brought up to them, but they just seemed like there were a lot of communication issues and things not running as tightly as they should behind the scenes.

This year, I was in a rather unique situation where I also had the option to double my party size, and The Stand had catering packages that would feed both party sizes: The Feast for 10 to 20 people, and The Big Feast for 20 to 40 people. But don't think The Big Feast is twice the size of The Feast; rather, the only difference is an additional platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps. Otherwise, both will have a platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps, a large gourmet salad, a large side, and a cookie/brownie platter. After much deliberation, I went with The Feast with Meyer Lemon Broccolini and a Sidekick of Chinese Chicken Chop Salad with Chips & Guac. I chose all this to avoid the need for flameless heating kits since I wasn't sure how they'd work. I was drafting an email to the catering team to add some supplementary instructions I overlooked initially, but after the FIRST15 to 20 minutes following submission of my order, Sydney from the Catering team gave me a call to ask for clarification on some details based on my email communication. Really appreciate how punctual she was at this, and she was happy enough to send out an updated invoice. However, I learned from Sydney that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini would need a flameless heating kit even though the catering website did not mention that. In fact, during my email communication prior to placing my order, I pointed out that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini and Red Ginger Green Beans weren't listed as vegetarian despite being vegetables, and they confirmed they were indeed vegetarian, but not vegan. I noticed these oversights were immediately addressed after I brought them to their attention. However, their website still indicates their cookies are vegan when they are not; I'm not going to bother with another email at this point lol. I had given them two weeks' notice for my order, knowing that the catering team can change it on their end. I didn't want just one flameless heating kit, so I decided to switch out the Chips & Guac for the Mac & Cheese, which is about $13 more. I arrived about 10 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and I saw my catering order out in the open on a table where any customer could just grab it and go. Luckily, there were only a few customers inside, and when I stopped by my order, Kim came out to greet me. We recognized each other even 8 to 9 months after those technical difficulties spelled out in my last review update. I asked her to review my order with me before leaving, but when she said "Chips & Guac", the abstract record in my mind came to a screeching halt. I asked to see the invoice, and it was the older version from before I made the switch. I later found out they had printed my invoice too early even though their catering team said I could decide as late as the day before. Luckily, Kim checked the kitchen and needed only about 5 more minutes for the side of mac & cheese to be ready. She also let me keep the chips & guac even though she initially said she could swap it out, so that was nice at least. I also appreciate how they waited until my arrival to make a custom grilled cheese sandwich for my vegetarian guest, who enjoyed said sandwich. I also asked to put that guest's name on the box so I could tell easily. However, my abstract record cacophonously halted again when Kim asked me to pull up to the front door so they could load my order into my car. I had parked close by and previously requested for at least one employee to help me carry my order to my car. Also, I didn't want to block the right lane of the frontage road through the town center, so Kim and a team member helped carry the order to my car. My guests enjoyed the food for the most part, and I used this opportunity to invite them to visit The Stand with their family/friends on their own time (and dime lol). My order included an abundance of sauces and dressings, and I also appreciate how there were label stickers on each half sandwich/wrap in the platter. However, I would highly recommend a different means of labeling these sandwiches/wraps. As an example, I tried to grab a Chimichurri Steak Wrap only to find out it was actually a Falafel Wrap, which was the only vegetarian option in the platter. Good thing I got my vegetarian guest that grilled cheese sandwich! Lastly, if you've managed to make it to the end of this review, I'll let you know there's a discount code for customers placing a catering order for the first time. You actually read it in this review somewhere. Missed it? Sorry, I'm not giving it out like that. You'll have to re-read the review :)
