Restaurant was so busy today. We came here at 5pm not too late not too early. We ordered and we literally waited 40 minutes for our food. They were slow and must have been short staffed. I only seen one guy running around delivering the food to the tables. AC was so cold, I had to ask for them to change the temp. Floors were sticky which was horrible. Management definitely needs to do better especially since it's a Saturday. Food came out warm so I won't complain on that. It was also very good. read more

Made a large order of almost $200 and had it delivered. Well we are very frustrated because the large salad did not come with Italian dressing as we requested, we only got 3 little ranch cups that seem to be used as dipping sauce for the pizza because there's no way with that much salad 3 small cups of ranch would cover it all. On top of not providing the salad dressing the Hawaiian pizza we ordered only had pineapple. They forgot the ham. Garden groves Shakey's Pizza Parlor had some really delicious food the pizza was hot, cheesy, and full of flavor, and the mojo fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. Everything tasted fresh and came out nice and warm. The only downside was that the place had a weird, funky smell in the air that kind of threw off the vibe a little, but the food itself definitely made up for it. read more

Let's be real everyone only comes here for the lunch buffet. Other than that, I've never been here pass 2pm. The fried chicken is very juicy and they do have a nice selection of pizzas. They do have other things like salad, pasta and sides but there's only so much chicken and pizza I can eat. I would most definitely come here during football season cause you can catch the second half of a game and eat while you watch. read more

I read the reviews and should have avoided the place but because I wanted to see for myself I went anyways. The quality of the food is just really bad. Such as shame because Shakeys use to be one of the better pizza chains. Also, while I appreciate that the manager does reply to the Yelp comments, they seem to be copy paste responses. Which tells me that they really do not take these comments and suggestions seriously. Very disappointing Shakeys should really focus on flavor, quality and presentation to rebuild this brand. read more

Been going to shakeys pizza for years and its still one of the best pizza joints in town! The fried chicken and mojo potato's here are some of the best and its a really fun spot to bring family for big parties and birthday for the little guys. I ordered the firehouse style pizza with chicken and it was pretty good. They have a salad bar area and TV's to watch sporting events. My fear of new ownership has been quelled (check out my last review) & that's great news. My Boyfriend & I have been there for the iconic Bunch a Lunch buffet several times recently & the food is still good & the original staff is still there...yay! The new owner/manager is very welcoming & aims to please. There's been a few new tweeks but the fact that a buffet even exists in this post Co-Vid world is a rare & much appreciated thing. The fresh pizzas, featuring a wide variety of toppings are still terrific & the Fried Chicken is still delicious. If you want wings or breasts you do need to ask for them now but the staff gave it to us right away. They even added some new items & we're looking forward to taste what's next! read more

The staff failed to ask delivery driver to confirm uber eats's order. The order got stolen and they refused to remake the order. And after failing to prepare the order for the customer, the restaurant/staff who was working on 12/11/2025 at 6:00PM shift contact uber to falsified report that the driver was stolen the order. It's dishonesty to the finest. You can check the camera at that time and the staff was saying someone was picking up which is no big deal but failure to prepare food for the customer is one thing, trying to get someone losing job by lying is entirely different thing. If anyone want to support this behavior, just ignore this review then. read more

Run away from Shakey's, run far away. This place is a disgrace to all Pizza Chains. I got the Pasta, and it tasted like runny and watered down, and it had no flavor. The Fried Chicken was as hard as a brick, and it almost injured my mouth and it was atrocious. The Mojo Potatoes were bland, and burnt it was horrid. I'd be able to justify the school cafeteria quality food if it wasn't expensive.... but good lord, 16 bucks before drinks or taxes for the lunch buffet is insane. I would rather order a whole pizza and a salad from any other place for the same price... since those are the only two things on the buffet line that were edible. Came here to celebrate a bday. Was a quite large party and had made reservations prior. Upon arriving however, it turned out our tables were not reserved. The guy seemed dismissive and ignore us. We ended up having to move furniture around - in addition to our party decorations. Quite inconvenient. I'm sure with a smaller group (eg 2-3) it'd be more pleasant. read more

As we walked thru the food isle we started to notice all the food looked like it had been sitting for a while. Mojos were cold, pizza was at least an hour sitting as well as the chicken. We saw some people asking for fresh chicken. This was horrible! We should have followed our intuition when we got there and noticed the parking lot was empty. Came here for the happy hour specials I saw advertised on social media. Meh. I got the 6 wings for $6.99 (just $1 savings) and a pint of draft beer (also just $1 off). The wings were good but very small. I'm a big fan of Shakey's fried chicken so the wings had that signature flavor. This is probably one of the worst places to pick up from as a Dasher or Uber eats courier. When you enter, you're supposed to go right up to the counter and pick up the order, but instead they make you stand in their atrociously long line, which in return makes you late for your orders. Majority of the workers in this place are incompetent and have no idea how to multitask as a regular human being. With how long you have to wait in the line to pick up the order, the food isn't even hot anymore. It sits there on the counter, waiting to be picked up, but you're not allowed to pick it up unless you're in line. Management at this place needs to teach their employees how to work with DoorDash and Uber eats orders. It has come to the point that anytime I get an order here, I decline it to make my days easier. read more

I actually love their pizza. It's crispy and flavorful. I've done a few "to go's" of their bunch-a-lunch and for ~$12, you can get 3 slices of pizza (it's tiny though) and 2 pieces of chicken and you can take as much of anything else on the lunch bar. The chicken is also delicious and cooked perfectly. Crispier than KFC and has it's own delicious taste. Never dry, from my experience. Mojo potatoes are also delicious. I'm not a fan of the rice or any of the frozen vegetables, unfortunately, which are a bit overcooked and being in the warmer, not appealing to me. Get the chicken, pizza and potatoes and make yourself a nice fresh salad at home. If you eat in, it's AYCE. read more

I've been here a few times now, usually for the bunch of lunch. The key is to go early enough when the food is fresher, I'd say before 1 pm. After that it gets dried out. Even before that some things are bland, but their fried chicken is quite good. Crunchy on the outside and well-cooked on the inside. Surprisingly, the baked chicken is even better, very tasty and tender when they have it!. The mojos are great, the mashed potatoes aren't bad and they have salad items which are decent. The pizza is fair at best but it always has been. The environment is loud when there's a lot of people there, like a loud high school cafeteria. I never had any complaint about the service.
