Since you pre pay before being seated, the line was long and slow with only one cashier available. The dining room is spacious with a variety of options, including sushi, American, Asian, fruit, salad, dessert and a large Mongolian stir-fry station where you choose your own ingredients and have them cooked to order. The sushi station was the most popular with nigiri and rolls. The salmon nigiri disappeared within a minute of being restocked, so timing is everything if that's what you're after. Value for money. In this economy I appreciate that they can still offer AYCE at this price point. I had low expectations but I was amazed at the variety of food and the quality they are able to offer. I have been to many buffets and I must say their dishes are tasty! I enjoyed their pot roast , grilled chicken, chinese food, and soft serve. I also particularly love that they have plantains and Sprite Zero. The staff were friendly and the place was clean which is a huge plus for me. I just hope they will always be consistent . I went on a Thursday at around 3pm. I am definitely coming back. This place can get pretty crowded on the weekends but thankfully the lines move pretty fast. I see a lot of ppl bringing their families here to eat including little kids. It's a buffet style and you pay up front before being seated. The food choices a re pretty eclectic ranging from American dishes such as pizza and mashed potatoes to fried rice and chow mein. There is soup, sushi bar, stir fry and a huge dessert section as well. It can get pretty crowded but the staff are really good about making it manageable to get to your table and to the food. Overall fairly clean and it is sooo filling. Eating here in the afternoon pretty much made me full the rest of the day. It's a bit of a drive from me but worth it if you have lots of mouths to feed. The food is typical of American style buffets with food ranging from basic salads, pizza, fried chicken, to roast beef, swai filet, and the best of all the custom Mangolian Beef chef. The food and options during lunch was ok for the price however it looks like the dinner hour there are more selections for seafood. So although I honestly wouldn't come back for the lunch, it is an extremely affordable option that will definitely fill you up. We came here for the first time. Food was very average and mostly low quality. They're mostly busy because they have a senior discount. The staff is horrible. Very rude from the beginning cashier right up to the manager. I waited in line to pay for my family of 4, My wife entered the dining room to see if there were any seats. After we paid, we were lectured by a seating girl that we should not have done that. It was overly aggressive and hostile. I brought it up to the manager, Rocha, and she proceeded to basically tell me it was my fault for not reading the signs. She came to fight. She was just as hostile and aggressive and did not understand it from our point of view at all. She also told me I was passive aggressive lol. Horrible attitude by a manager. She was also the cook at the Mongolian grill. When she saw it was me, she stalled and made me wait and even proceeded to clean the grill. Amazing vindictive hostile behavior. As I waited an eternity for my food because of her revenge games and while we were eating we all noticed that the staff was much nicer if you were of the Latino persuasion. Great training owners. My 2nd time at a Paradise Buffet. My 1st time at this location in Garden Grove. I really, really like this buffet brand and both locations I've been to were both consistently good. Though they don't have as many items as the Flaming Buffet brand, I like the food at Paradise Buffet better. There's more American food choices too. The Mongolian grill is very impressive as they don't have basic vegetables. I really enjoyed the pot roast that is similar to Golden Corral's, my Mongolian grill creation was fire, Chicken wings were hot and fresh, beef and broccoli was on point (beef was textured and tender), and they have whole jalapeños, yummm!!! Sushi selection is good. They had 2 vegetable sushi rolls available. However, if you are truly vegetarian or have seafood allergies, just beware of cross contamination bc I got the vegetable rolls and they had a few specks of tobiko (orange roe eggs) on it. I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, but just beware (otherwise, you may need to use your Epi Pen)!! Service was great. They were fast at filling our water cups and collecting dirty plates. Dessert selection is plenty and I especially love, love, love that they had cotton candy!! It was so good and made fresh, I ended up eating 5. Tried their spicy seafood mix with shrimp and mussels. The shrimp were big but they weren't fresh. It seemed like they had been cooked the day before. It was disappointing. The panko fried shrimp is mislabeled as salt and pepper shrimp. Wish it were indeed salt and pepper shrimp. I didn't try their cook to order grill. I think that this is the best way to enjoy this restaurant. They have a large selection of cakes. Their fresh fruit was just okay They offer senior discount and early bird pricing. Went again for 2nd time and tried the cook to order grill. One advice when piling up your ingredients is to start with the sauces first in the bottom of the bowl and then select your ingredients.
