Had to flag down server everytime to ask about the progress on our orders to get anything out. And when food came out, quality is just not there and wasn't like it used to be. Sorry Red Castle, you became worse than mid. Bullgolgi down the road has you beat on affordable KBBQ on all aspects. My friend and I literally spent about 90% waiting and 10% eating and maxed out our stay til an hour and a half that they have enforced... Made a visit today for some lunch with my family, total of 4 not even a big party, upon our arrival the server did not say Hi only pointed to where we were going to sit. As our interaction went on ordering food we gave him the benefit of the doubt and stayed. He was very dry the whole time, it very much looked like he didn't wanna be there , when placing an order the online part of their order system wasn't working on our end and so he had to take our order verbally and seemed bother by that too. What a cute low key KBBQ place! Everything is ordered via phone but it looks like you could order by paper if you wanted to do that. We got there a little after they opened and there was no wait. They have three different menus to chose from for kbbq and we chose menu A. Different menus have different types of meat, but we weren't looking for a wide selection. It's all you can eat, but you have to wait a couple minutes between ordering meats. I like that as it seems like a good way to prevent waste/ over ordering. The banchan selection is by order and I do wish they included more variety. The cucumbers weren't the typical kimchi cucumbers I was thinking of but they were still pretty good. Red Castle is my go-to KBBQ spot because of the familiarity and the price, not necessarily due to the quality of the meats or service. BUT with inflation, I'm honestly not sure if the cost is that different from other KBBQ spots with higher quality meats. There are TVs playing various k-pop groups all around the restaurant, dimly lit, and doesn't have the best ventilation. They changed up their banchan ordering system and you can order on a tablet at your table which is convenient and great to avoid unnecessary food waste, but the banchan normally takes a while to come out after you place the order and they'll typically forget some orders. My friends and I generally order from Menu C because we're fans of Galbi, and try some of the other options from the menu. We have a theory that there's a 'good brisket' and 'mediocre brisket' container; your first order of brisket will come from the good container and absolutely melt in your mouth, and the orders following that will be from the 'mediocre brisket' and be stringy and tough to chew. That theory also goes for the beef tongue, and belly. On the bright side, the marinated choices are always pretty solid and the meat is of course juicy. Overall, it's not a bad place to go to if you're craving KBBQ, but the restaurant does struggle with quality control and attentive service. It's a good option if you prefer marinated meats as opposed to dry ones. read more

I think it's a business tactic for them to make huge portions so we have to pay an extra $23.99 for the uneaten pieces. Mind you, my party of 5 ordered only 5 different type of meats, and we could not finish the portions!! Also, why is the pork belly paper thin and 80% fat? There is no reason this place should start at $23.99 when the quality is not there. Red Castle was my first introduction to KBBQ when I was younger. Before it was called "Flower Pig". Their meats are really good, but tend to be a little on the fattier/greasier side. This is one of the cheapest places for AYCE KBBQ. Nothing wrong with cheap. One thing wrong was I couldn't scan the QR code to see their menu. But, my daughter did and was able to text me a photo of it. Menu is not really needed as their cheap menu is limited to bulgogi, brisket, five types of pork bellies, pork skin and chicken. Ordering was easy. We let the daughter do it all on her phone. They limited you to five meats at a time. Banchans could be ordered every 5 minutes. The meats were decent. They were not fatty. Everything was pretty tasty. Service was good. They changed our grill several times. They did last call us when we were already stuffed. (They probably requested to remove it) To begin, I wanted to state that I've been working KBBQ for 4+ years now. Two different companies. I've eaten at literally every KBBQ in the area. I came to eat with my mom at 10PM sharp. We were seated right away. I used to come all the time so I already placed my order as soon as I sat. When we received our meat, I threw brisket and pork belly on the grill. I noticed the fire was extremely low, and nonexistent so I mentioned that to one of the older lady servers there. She rudely told me that it was all the same and that that's how its supposed to be. That's not how it is supposed to be. As a matter of fact, you need medium to strong heat in order to properly cook the meat, otherwise it would just dry out and look like steamed shabu meat. At my restaurant we cook for our customers so I know exactly how to prepare each meat. I made her show me 3 more tables, in which they were all different levels, but still not up to standards in order to have a good meal with. She rudely told me again its all the same. This time, the guy server comes up to me and tells me to sit down where I was and just eat there since they close soon. I came at 10PM, they close at 11:30. Last call is at 10. He just said that so I would order and leave them alone eat and leave. In addition to that, THE MENU GOT EVEN SMALLER, BUT THE PRICE WENT UP. All they have on the menu is pork belly that is mainly fat, and a bunch of chicken options. The only beef option is brisket and bulgogi. They took away the beef belly and a bunch of other options as well. The price is not justified by any means. My coworker's son said Red Castle was his favorite AYCE Korean BBQ place, so we decided to check it out. Parking was easy in the large plaza's lot. There was a short wait to be seated after scanning the QR code to be added to the waitlist. The interior is not the biggest but I also wouldn't call Red Castle small. I found the tableside tablet unique for ordering banchan. It was cool only ordering and refilling the banchan you want (we ordered almost all of them). We especially liked the sliced radish that also includes sliced beets, which gave the radish a deep red color (they were soaked together). They even had tortillas on the tablet! Service was fine, with our server checking on us periodically. All meat orders must be done with the waiter. The interior was simple but clean. All of the dipping sauces can be assembled yourself as there are large bottles set on the table, which is also convenient. The food is the same price all day long, and there are three tiers of all-you-can-eat: A (cheapest), B, and C (most premium). We opted for the B level which had the large and small intestines I wanted. The C level comes with most of thicker beef steak cuts and things like baby octopus. I found the pricing very fair for February 2025, $25.99/person + tax for the B set. The food was tasty, and the quality while not extraordinary was more than decent.
