My friends and I popped into Rodeo 39 over the weekend and had a great time! A lot of that was thanks to Capo Craft ~ a brewery right in the middle of the food hall. Their beers are pretty solid with standout for me being their 7.4% Hazy IPA. One thing to note is one pint could be $7 while the next is $11 ~ the prices do vary a bit. Since it's in a food hall, there is tons of seating and it was never overly crowded at the bar. Nice bartenders that were always quick to attend to my group of friends the whole night! Capo Craft we're vibin with you! This craft brewery meets craft cocktail bar is stacked with some of the best seating, energy and feel good vibes in the OC as well as inside Rodeo 39. We were treated to a live DJ while treating ourselves to good beer and good bevs. The Capo West Coast IPA is solid, but the Capo Hazy IPA blew me away. We 10 to 16oz pours, but a pitcher of this would've gone well with our crew of five. Lots of great eats nearby to balance it all out. The service was attentive and the crowd was abundant on a Friday night. Capo Craft is open from 11am - 11pm on Saturdays as well as Fridays and from 11am to 9pm Sunday through Thursday. We stayed until closed and shut it down. Mexi Cali Negroni, Mission Margarita, and their Painted Hills (Plata Tequila meets Elderflower Liqueur, Aperol and Agave) all caught my eye. Some cool guest beers available on tap. Cool N/A and Zero Proof concoctions as well. They have frozen slush, but whoever opened that day forgot to make it, which is my only con. First Impression: wow! that is a huge bar top! Location: located in a food hall/market. Seems like a lot of these locations are starting to pop up all over. parking is amble and the bar is located in the center of the market. Experience: very positive. the bartender was attentive and quick with servicing me and getting my drink orders in quickly maximizing my happy hour experience. I found a new German brewery in the GG after our brunch in HB. This is located in a big contemporary indoor mall called Rodeo 39 after huge remodeling. Their ambiance and quality of beers are amazing. Price is $9 per draft beer. I see huge beer tanks at the bar and the bartenders are so friendly, welcoming, very energetic. Love here a lot! They make us so relaxed. I can hear live DJ music. Beer tastes so good. The music and ambiance are awesome. The performance stage is right across from the beer bar. The live performance is Fri and Sat night. I don't know what time the live music performance starts. They have huge TV screen too...so good to be here, having wine, beers, pairing the foods. I feel so relaxed. My hubby feel the same. He loves here a lot. Haha....our new fave destination on weekend. Haha.... Great brewery and nice indoor shopping mall. Wine, bite menu like smash burger, Adobe nacho, cocktails, and happy hour 2 to 5 Mon to Fri. Beers are $6, Chardonnay is $10. Why not Happy hour next time??? We really had a great time. I was in bella terra mall in HB for brunch and I noticed something wrong on my battery as soon as I got back to the car. Might be the right time to replace a new battery??? After I called AAA service and headed to our autoshop in GG. Thank God! Not too far from HB so we didn't have any other problems until we got to autoshop. The mechanic diagnosed I needed the new battery and alternator as well. Takes at least 3 hours to repair and order the parts including lunch break. Wow!! 3 hours...? Where can I stay? My wife and I decided to stay near autoshop where the new mall called Rodeo 39 marketplace opened about 5 years. Completely remodeled and turned very popular spot. We discovered this indoor mall for the first time on Beach Blvd, and found Craft Capo brewery. I said right away I found it! I was looking for to relax. I love draft beers so I started to test at least 3 different flavors. My best pick was German beer. My wife liked hazy flavor. Well, big surprise to find such a great brewery by accident. We didn't come to GG for over 7 years since the area was almost ghost town after economy crashed. I am wondering who is the developer to build such a great mall looked like LBX hangar. For beers, super tasty. The service are awesome to make us like at home, cozy, comfy, relaxed. Loved DJ live music at the front of a mall. So energetic, young vibes, all kinds of dining areas, I feel like I can stay here all day. Haha.... You can see huge beer tanks at the bar, reliable. Price is $9 per draft beer. They have happy hour 2 to 5 Mon to Fri. The menu includes appetizers like nacho and Smash burger, fries, cocktails, wines, and etc. We decided to come back soon to try other beers, foods. Stopped by for a drink or two since it's a long day. Great place to just sit at the bar and chill and enjoying the drinks. They do have cocktail bar too.... The beers are excellent a cocktail is great too. 1st time with cocktail but beers, tasted plenty and still great. Service is excellent, so friendly and attentive too. I went expecting Bearded Tang brewery but apparently they closed and Capo took over? I was hoping to try some beers and take home a crowler but all the beers were guest taps besides 1 Capo beer. Also the bartender seemed like he could care less. Skip this place and go to Green Cheek. read more

hmm service depends on where you're seated at the bar, but there was only one bartender for a sunday night too. We came here for dinner, but wanted to grab a drink before. This location is pretty, spacious, and clean. After the bartender was done with cashing out a couple patrons, he made his way over to us. We ordered a mexican lager and german pilsner. Both solid options and at happy hour prices. Overall, it was a positive experience. My mom said it usually is lined with people from wall to wall so plan accordingly. read more

Formerly Bearded Tang, looks like Capo acquired everything - tanks, recipes, etc. Capo is the brewery in San Juan Capistrano next to Heritage BBQ. Good beers, they go well with the food in the Rodeo 39 Public Market. They have a full bar now. The bar opposite them is gone, it's now a stage. Nice Led Zeppelin covers on a Saturday afternoon. The 2 TVs on the stage and the ones around the bar are tuned to sports as usual. Good place for a beer pre or post meal, or bring your food here, there's plenty of seating. read more

Located inside of Rodeo 39 is Capo Craft formally known as Bearded Tang. I really do enjoy going here & the vibes are always pretty cool. My favorite beer is the West Cost IPA. The brewer Jerrod knows what he is doing & makes excellent beers. He has even won awards for his beers. All the people that work behind the bar are very friendly. I have never had a bad experience, it's always been so much fun. I recommend %100 going to Rodeo 39 & having a beer at Capo Craft. I'm not someone who usually drinks, so I was really hesitant about being invited here to catch up with some friends. I had pretty low expectations as an introvert, Capo Craft ended up being a really great experience! The space felt super welcoming and relaxed, which is really important to homebodies like myself. The staff were especially friendly and patient, which I really appreciated since I don't normally know what to order at places like this. Came here before dinner reservations and it was a cute spot. Haven't been here in a while and there was different bar on the other side but now it's just an entertainment area for DJ's or bands. So this place is a giant food court area and capo craft is in the middle in the back area. It is a nice lounge area with great ambient lighting. There was only one bartender there, but it was enough and he was fast and knowledgeable about all the drinks. read more
