I visited over the weekend without knowing what to expect. The restaurant itself is casual dining (order at the counter), with seating inside and two tables outside. The menu is egg- and fried chicken- based. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich (delicious; the bun was amazing), and my friend got a fried chicken breakfast sandwich (also delicious) with a side of gravy. There's lots of parking and it's an accessible location. I expect I'll be back! read more

It's disappointing when local spots have such a low bar for quality. We tried Egg Bread today and were met with a freezing dining room-like an ice hockey rink- and a long wait for mediocre food. The "bacon" sandwich featured wilted bacon and a smell of old fryer grease in the sandwiches. Even the coffee failed to meet a basic standard. While the potatoes were a highlight and the waffle was decent, the service was chaotic. The staff seemed well-meaning but totally untrained--missing utensils and forgotten cream shouldn't happen when you're paying these prices. Compared to a high-caliber spot like Bake n' Broil, this just doesn't compete. Even McDonald's feels like a step up at this point. We should have stuck with our original plan and go to Ihop- Next time. Ufortunately, we won't be coming back. read more

Very delicious breakfast spot! I got the bacon egg and cheese with scrambled eggs (I'm not a runny egg person) and it was soo good. The spicy ketchup on it really made the sandwich for me. We also got the potatoes and they were perfectly seasoned. The staff were really nice and fast with our ordering, the food did take a little bit to come out but they were pretty swamped in there. There's a decent amount of seating inside but we opted to go eat by a pretty view in the car. read more

After church, decided to stop by for a burger. Their truffle burger was about $13. The gentleman who helped was incredibly helpful. Told me to try the anything rib eye as my choice of meal next time, and I will! He also advised to get the green salsa and it was so tasty! It was a busy place but clean and new! They have small Tabasco packets go to! Love it! Ohhhhh and let's not forget the beer batter fries. It's a must. Best of all, they play worship music! This location is in a large shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking to be found. I visited late one Saturday morning. The woman at the register was quite pleasant as I ordered a chorizo, egg, and cheese sandwich and a bottle of Coke (the latter she had to open). I was given a pager and took a seat at one of the tables. It took about 12 minutes before my pager buzzed and I picked up my sandwich at the counter. The chorizo patty was moderately spicy for me (which means "mildly spicy" to most people) and was delicious, even more so with the melted cheese and over-medium egg. The bun was fresh yet sturdy. They have a number of egg sandwiches on the menu and a couple that are "eggless". It's a decent option if you're in the mood for some breakfasty food in a fast-casual setting. read more

Placed an order for pickup using the Toast app. I was in a big rush and wasn't sure if my order would be ready when I had arrived. I was early by good 15+ minutes. Well just like a typical EggBred fashion, IT SURE WAS! Service was friendly and efficient also. Zero wait, immediate acknowledgment, and I trotted in and out of the restaurant in less than a minute. I came here early afternoon on a Thursday and it was the perfect timing because there was no weight and very little customers. I came here with a recommendation from when my friends so I was super excited to try what they had. I was not aware that the portion was gonna be humongous so when I order my three items, I was a bit overwhelmed in a good way with the amount of food that came out. The Benny on the rocks was super satisfying, very heavy, but it hit the right spot. It is big enough for shareable amounts with others. The Ben Franklin was the perfect amount for one individual and it had some lightness from the arugula that was inside the sandwich. The Truffle Crunch Burger was great too as its patty was really flavorful. The Ribeye California Burrito was another favorite! This place is fantastic. The menu is so unique and the items are so creative. I don't get why people give this place such a mediocre reviews. Definitely a five star experience loved everything had a fried chicken sandwich Nashville heat, and it was to die for. Just checking in Bres was a real chicken breast and the crisp of the of the coding was fantastic. The bread was fantastic. I can't say enough about it. 2.5/5 - Great flavor, but the real portion looks like the small ones in the Yelp photos. I can understand this could be due to economy pressure. I ordered the Scramble Me Softly from Egg Bread in Seal Beach via Uber Eats. The flavor was honestly excellent - soft eggs, good seasoning, and toppings inside were tasty. But the portion size was a letdown. The photos on Uber Eats make it look big and fluffy, but what I got matched the small, flattened portions you see on Yelp - a small scoop of eggs and understandable flattened pieces of brioche. It tasted good, just not enough food for the price. Great flavor, very small portion. I'd find value and justification to get it again if the serving size felt more true to the Uber Eats pictures... The mixed berries cheesecake waffles were easily my favorite. Sweet without being too heavy and the cheesecake flavor actually comes through. I'd come back just for this. The chorizo egg and cheese is exactly what you picture when you think of a breakfast sandwich. Simple, flavorful, and just hits. The ribeye California burrito was solid, but the salsa really stood out. Super fresh with a clean flavor that ties everything together. Tried The Ben Franklin and honestly the Benedict sauce is the star. It's one of those sauces you could put on anything. Definitely a must. EggBred - Seal Beach - Orange County If you love breakfast sandwiches that actually feel like a meal and not just something slapped together, EggBred is worth checking out. I went to the Seal Beach location and it was a great vibe for families and foodies it has elevated brunch food with some creativity and care behind it. The bread is the star of the show, that soft, slightly sweet bun holds everything together without falling apart. You can tell they actually thought about the sandwich structure (which matters when there's runny yolk and sauce involved). I've tried the sausage & egg, sandwich and it is legit. The sandwich had great flavor and the runny egg with hot sauce combo was great. The menu overall is way more interesting than your standard bacon-egg-cheese spot. They've got options like waffles and non breakfast items. The ambiance is clean, modern, and totally Instagrammable. It feels kind of like if a boutique coffee shop and a breakfast diner had a baby. The staff is friendly and you can tell they actually care about presentation. My only real knock was I sat next to trash cans and had some insects flying around. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable so sit away from back of restaurant. The prices are good for a breakfast sandwiches ($10-14 range), and the quality backs it up. All in all, EggBred is easily one of the better new brunch concepts in Orange County, its creative menu, top-tier bread, great flavors. Just be patient because it was packed and understandably I now know way. Ask for extra sauce on the side as it flavors their sandwich's. read more

I watched them build this place and finally decided to see what it is all about. As I entered I noticed the music playing in the background at a volume that made it background music. I ordered the cheddar cheese with chives biscuit and gravy. It took awhile and finally my buzzer started buzzing. I went to the counter and got my order. I immediately saw that there was a large amount of gravy with plenty of meat. I also noticed the gravy was not the usual white/grey as at other places. The biscuits were large and looked fresh. I took my first bite and discovered that instead of baking the cheese into the biscuits there was a thin piece of cheese placed on top and then the hot gravy was poured on and that melted the cheese. First bite and it was not what I expected as the gravy was somewhat spicy. Not too bad but if you don't like spicy then do not order this. The sausage did not have any flavor like I am used to. The biscuits were very good. The bottom line is I will go back, but I will order something else. read more

I was eggcited to be third in line arrived at 5:25 am, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the EggBred Seal Beach Grand Opening this morning. It was wonderful to meet Carlton Jones Jr, the owner and general manager of the new breakfast, brunch and lunch fast-casual restaurant. I had the complimentary scramble me softly sandwich and coffee. The eggs were fluffy and had a great flavor on a soft toasted milk bun. It was eggcellent. The staff were friendly to match the sunny cozy feel of the place. This is my second EggBred grand opening. What a perfect addition to our neighborhood! The food here is amazing -- everything tastes super fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The breakfast sandwiches and burritos are seriously some of the best I've ever had -- the bread is soft, the eggs are perfectly cooked, and the ingredients are top quality. You can tell they really care about what they serve. I've already been back since their grand opening! On top of that, the owners are incredibly kind and generous. The food is amazing! I love going here for breakfast with my family and they all love the food! The service is great. They support the community and the staff are mostly friendly. The place is clean, comfortable and super cute. It is right in Seal Beach and be patient trying to find parking. The service is great with the sole exception of the hostess. She is fine, but she needs to pay a little more attention. The rest of the staff is the best. They know their large menu and all the drinks they have. You will love them. The food is outstanding. We love their breakfast items. They have a pancake that my grandson loves that is chocolate and not thanks for me, but he thinks it is great. Their eggs, hash browns, waffles and plain pancakes are perfect. For lunch they have some of the best sliders with great buns and wonderful French fries. They also have ribs and all sorts of seafood. We love their fish and chips and they are often a special. The fried shrimp is great with super dipping sauces. She was so helpful, she was really sweet and friendly and she was great at small talk I ordered 2 frozen custards, Yaya asked if we wanted any toppings. So we got one with just whipped cream and then one with crushed Oreos and whipped cream Yaya, buttered us up and asked us what name to put down for us pretty girls and our order We looked around for a bit while waiting. It only took about 2-3 minutes for our custard. So we took a peak around. We saw a sign saying that they have a first aid kit if needed and they have a CPR kit located behind the front counter. Which, I thought was really cool. This location of shake shack was also extremely clean. (I have ordered shake shack from Uber Eats, but have not been inside this location before) We got the custard to go, and after a couple minutes we were on our way. -I can't stress how friendly the workers were. Not just, Yaya, but every single staff member greeted every person who walked in. -The place was extremely clean -They do have kiosks, the kiosk even has Braille, which read, ask staff to enable voiceover -they have way more menu items than I thought! For dessert, as if we still had any room, Kazi brought out two mini cheesecakes, one with a set of candles for the anniversary couple. Perfect for a few bites! I think the breakfast items might be better than the lunch/dinner items. Please note that breakfast items are only served until 11:45 a.m. On my first visit I tried Top Sirloin Steak & Eggs. I ordered it medium rare and was cooked perfectly. Steak was seasoned well and was quite tasty. I had a good first visit with my coworkers so came back again this weekend to try some of lunch items. The lunch items my family and I ordered weren't as good as I expected. Beach House Burger was just ok. It could've used more seasoning on the beef patty because it tasted rather bland. Burger had arugula, tomato, red onions, cheddar cheese, and some house sauce. Fish & Chips was good but tasted pretty standard. Skillet Corn Bread tasted ok but too dry, even with whipped butter and honey. Service has been good both times I was here, and the location is great because it's right by the beach. Patio area always seems to get packed because everyone wants to get a view of the beach, but you can still get a decent view from the inside. I will definitely return but will stick with breakfast items in the future. There is a paid parking lot right by the restaurant, which is currently $3 per hour, but you can find street parking in the nearby residential area. Just make sure you pay attention to parking signs. Most of them have 1 hour limit, which isn't long enough to dine here.
