Siti is that hidden gem you didn't know you needed in your life! If you're craving Southeast Asian food, this is THE place to curb those cravings. I have traveled throughout many parts of Asia, and I can honestly say the food at Siti is about as authentic as it gets. I had walked by this place countless times en route to Paperboy, but when my husband and I finally stopped in, it quickly became apparent that everyone else had heard about Siti except us because the place was packed! I was a flight attendant for 28 years before opening my cat lounge, and it never ceases to amaze me how people just do not pay attention. We were seated by the window, where I had a clear view of people entering through the patio and trying to find their way inside through the side door--all while completely missing the front entrance with Siti's name right on it. I couldn't help but laugh. Siti is located inside The Frances Modern Inn, a beautiful boutique hotel that is also worth checking out if you're visiting Austin. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Frank, the GM, followed by the wonderful service from our waiter, Robbie, we knew we were in for a treat. And then we proceeded to order what felt like half the menu! We thoroughly enjoyed the hiramasa, oysters, roti canai, chicken wings, Siti's laksa, charred cabbage, seafood fried rice, chili crab & lobster, chicken satay, and sambal striped bass. Like I said, we got a little crazy, but everything was fantastic! There is a reason Chef Laila has received recognition from the Michelin Guide. The flavors, authenticity, and execution were outstanding. Our entire experience was fantastic, and we cannot wait to go back. Siti has officially gone from the restaurant we kept walking past to one we'll now be making a point to visit!

Phenomenal place truly! I went here with a friend for her birthday and we opted to do the $80 chef choice menu which came with 7 courses, actually insane value oysters were so herby and delightful, I was unsure of the mayo like emulsion, but it made the bite so creamy! The flavors were still refreshing no Hiramasa is rightfully well known. The pear crunch with the Thai chili just created the perfect bite. I could eat so much of that alone. I was most excited for the roti canai, and I wasn't let down. The roti was so flaky and the perfect carrier for the warm curry. i wanted to drink that curry, genuinely so addicting If I were to skip on a dish, it would probably be the chicken wings. It was just really really tough to break apart even for a smashed wing. Juicy and tender meat with a bright sambal sauce. the fish sauce flavor was yummy. wok fried noodles, braised beef, and sauteed bokchoy were all good. The cabbage in the sautéed greens was phenomenal. Scooped up all that good curry flavor well. I can't rave about the braised beef enough, SO TENDER AMAZING For dessert we got two ice creams and a rice pudding with flan atop. the coconut ice cream was topped with lots of coconut flakes 10/10. I think the brown one was some kind of pandan caramel but it just tasted like caramel. The flan was divine. Smooth amongst a sea of rice pudding !! Our server did a great job of checking on us and explaining every dish

Wow. Made this reservation on a whim on a trip to Austin. Was not prepared but definitely pleased with the level of greatness. The charred cabbage is one of the best things I've ever tasted. Truly like top 5 dishes of all time. It had the perfect balance of salt, fat, and heat. I cannot even describe how good it was. We also had the roti canai and the hiramasa, both excellent. We ended with the seafood fried rice, which was good, but not as great as the others. Finally, when we were stuffed to the brim, they comped us dessert. Now, I'm not a subtle dessert person, I like dark chocolate. So when they brought out the rice pudding, I braced myself for disappointment, but it was surprisingly really good! I will definitely return here next time I'm in town.

4.7/5 The rojak fruit salad-very refreshing. Perfect sweet and savory flavor. Reminded me of fruit with tajin seasoning. Pork belly-it's okay, the sauces were good but some bites were a bit dry. Not my favorite. The skin could've been crispier. Hiramasa- was very delicious. Loved the taste of tom Kha broth and how coconuty it was. Ribeye-a bit too salty and overcooked for my taste but the flavor overall was good. It tasted better with rice and the vegetables that it came with. Noodles and duck-great flavor overall with the sweet soy glaze but leaned a bit too salty. I had to mix in rice to balance it out then it was good after that. Beef rendang-one of my favs. The coconut curry was so aromatic and beef was very tender. I didn't taste much pandan in the pandan rice though. Striped bass-decent. It was spicy. Good service, attentive staff. Very cute decor inside and they also have an outdoor patio. Parking was easy to find on the street.

This review is gonna be essentially no help since I can't even tell you what dishes we got but everything we got was awesome nonetheless!!!! We went here for supper club and had a fabulous time. The server was super helpful with recommendations and set us up well. I'll say the banana split thingy for dessert was maybe my favorite of all - it was so light and fluffy but so good. The restaurant is a cutie little vibe too - would be good for date night or bringing your parents or something.

ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED! Guys please don't wait as long as I did to try this place. I am the happy hour queen so of course I went to check out their Happy hour menu. I did the 5 course tasting menu for $35 and boy was I stuffed or what. Every single thing on the menu was absolutely mind blowing. Their Thai salad, the wings, the roti canai, the oysters, the Hamachi every single thing was amazing but the showstopper which was the beef cheek stew. Literally, he still lives in my head free. Their cauliflower skewers were also absolutely amazing. We were totally stuffed by the end of that five course meal and with 10 out of 10 come back here again.

Some friends and I came to Siti for a friend's birthday dinner and it was the perfect spot for this celebration. The birthday girl is a huge fan of SE asian food and Siti definitely hit the spot for this craving. The interior ambiance is very fancy and the decor is gorgeous which really gives you a feeling of an elevated experience. The staff were all super attentive and kind and our waiter was helpful in recommending the most popular dishes. I ordered their pandan foam drink and it was so good. Very light and refreshing and made me tipsy which is all I can ask for in a cocktail. Almost all the dishes we ordered were amazing. I was a major fan of the pork belly and chicken wings in particular. The seasoning and crisp on the chicken wings were great and the pork belly had such a juicy and tender texture. The only dish we didn't enjoy was the adobo as it was very dry and did not have a lot of sauce but other than that, a very solid spot.

Had the most delicious meal at Siti!! Inside is small but very well designed. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. They even have an in house sommelier. I tried one of their orange wines that was smooth and fruity and loved it. First orange wine I've ever liked. My friend got the green galleon cocktail and that was really good. Was kind of like a margarita with a green peppery taste to it. For appetizers we tried the roti canai. It was super hot, fresh out of the kitchen. The roti was perfectly buttery, flaky and doughy. The dipping sauce was rich and delicious. Our waiter even brought out another piece of fresh roti because we had left over dipping sauce. We also tried both chicken skewers, the satay and inasal. The satay I liked better but I also love peanut sauce so I'm biased. The chicken was cooked perfectly. The satay was more bite size pieces and the inasal came as an entire chicken thigh that you have to cut. The satay also comes with a side of peanut sauce. For entrees, we tried the laksa and the charred cabbage. Both incredible and flavorful entrees. They are priced pretty high but I thought they were huge portions. Could definitely split the laksa between two people and it would be enough. Came in on a Friday and on their instagram it says their happy hour is through Friday but they said it's now only Tuesday - Thursday. Will definitely be back to try their happy hour!

Kaya toast

Visited Siti for a nice date night and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We tried the hiramasa, ayam penyet wings, wok fried rice noodles, beef rendang, and kaya toast. Everything was delicious and unique. My personal stand outs were the wings and beef rendang. The breading on the wings was light and crispy and came with a delicious sauce. The beef rendang was very tender. The kaya toast was the perfect end to our meal. Our server gave good service. However, we had one main issue with the restaurant. We had made a reservation and even got to the restaurant a few minutes early, but we weren't sat until almost 30 minutes past our reservation time. I understand that restaurants can get unexpectedly busy. I don't mind waiting an extra 15 minutes or so, but waiting 30 minutes for a reservation is just way too long. It seemed like bad planning and management by the restaurant.

Easy to make a reservation online, friendly service, and delicious food. Siti located on e. 11th st is in a cool area and has inside as well as cute patio seating. My friend and I were dressed nice for a Friday night out and sat inside, but unfortunately it was still pretty hot which is never fun. We enjoyed everything we ordered and maybe will be back once the weather cools down.

We were able to get a table on a Friday night - spectacular service, great selection of drinks and good food! Loved the roti canai here - their dipping curry was very flavorful! Their skewers were also freshly made and paired well with their dipping sauces. My husband loved the seafood laksa. The ambience is very pretty and dim lit - perfect for date night!

The ribs and noodles, great ribs but a bit spicy noodles

We had a big brunch, made of various dishes. My favorites were the roti appetizer with an amazing malay coconut curry sauce, and the fried rice with La barbecue brisket. But truly everything was great. The staff is very friendly and it's a cute place with great AC, important during TX summers.

Rachel Z.

The food and flavors at siti are amazing! The roti canai was a great starter, the bread was fluffy and the curry was bursting with flavor. Service was great, everyone was friendly and helped explain the menu since it was our first time here! The laksa and hiramasa were standouts! We ended up dipping the roti into the laksa curry as well. Ended with dessert - pretty sure we got the kaya toast. It was wonderful, and they decorated the place well! My aunt kept complimenting the cute seating and lamps. Will definitely come back for a cozy date night or with friends!

If value and authenticity are what you seek, then this restaurant is not for you. In short, you will not find many SE Asians eating here.

This is the epitimy of a pretentious place. I ordered one glass of wine and it was $20.00. This is going to backfire on them, and it should.

He makes dining here ridiculously fun and somehow makes an already great experience even better. The music and drinks were on point. The Puff Puff Pass was the cocktail winner of the night, followed by some really good whiskey. Then came the food, and damn... Kemuri does not mess around. We shared everything and ordered in waves, starting with Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio, Charred Edamame and Taiyaki Cornbread. Next up was the Chili Cheese Takoyaki, Wagyu Short Rib Skewer and Hot Pocketz. Every single thing was delicious, and flavorful. Somehow we still found room for the delicious banana pudding. Great food, great drinks, great friends and Yoshi popping in to keep the party going. Pretty hard to beat a night like that. Kemuri Tatsu Ya continues to be our favorite!

Since I knew I…read morewas coming here the day before, I decided to read through many of the reviews and pick out the highlights. One common comment is that the portions are small and the prices you pay are high for what you get. The brisket fried rice and their unusual take on chicken and waffles are quite popular. As for parking, they do have a lot out back that is fairly spacious and a parking garage making it one of the easier places to park at downtown. Once you pull in to the lot, just scan the QR code inside the restaurant for two free hours of parking and you will need your license plate number (you'll get a text when your time is running out). 2/3 of the interior is dedicated towards two and four tops and a long bar that you can also sit at. The other third is for groups of 10-25 which can be reserved in advance. They have a great bar along with four craft beer taps and a good selection of wines. I came here with a group of 10 so we got our food served family style. We started with hot/sour soup, which had lots of fungi, but was salty and the fried cream cheese rangoons tasted like they had been cooked earlier in the day. The bowl of dumplings that followed fared better. General Tso's chicken was good and crunchy and the beef and broccoli was finely cut making it kinda mushy, but decent. The best dish was the grilled shrimp bowl at the end. Some of the dishes came with a side of sauce, but I really could've used some soy sauce and siracha on the table. Plenty of informative photos included.

Service isn't the fastest, but our waitress was pleasant and friendly, and had good suggestions about the menu. I've made reservations both times we visited, which are easy to get last minute. I'd recommend a reservation to ensure you don't have to wait to get seated.
