It's got a nice menu and a very relaxing vibe. I literally just landed on it after a visit to the Brooklyn Museum to see the Africa Fashion exhibit. I sat at the bar and ordered a rosé and the veggie burger with sweet potato fries. It was all delicious, even took some home since it was too much for me. read more

Came to Sisters for brunch and I had an ok experience. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and my friend ordered the French Toast. They were both fine. We both enjoyed them. I think we just needed more. Service was good though. Honestly, the menu is underwhelming and so was our experience so I recommend coming for drinks and a light bite. Maybe my expectations were too high?! It wasn't bad, just wasn't great. The bar area is beautiful and picturesque. The restaurant felt bright and airy. I think it's a nice spot to catch up with friends. Not so loud either. The ambiance alone is prob 2 stars, and then the drink is 1. The food is ehh... just ok. The server was nice. It was a Friday night girls' night outting. We truly enjoyed the experienc. The restaurant makes a great backdrop for photos. Seems like a good date night place also. I got the fish sandwich it lacked some flavor. I did enjoy the appetizer of shishito peppers and the burata . My cocktail was amazing. It was a spicy margarita it hit all the key notes. read more

Beautiful interior, good ambiance and clean dining area. Service was quick and efficient. Coffee is really good! My partner and I came in for lunch at 11am - I think we were the first customers there. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the fried fish sandwich, both with sides of salad. Overall, there was a lot of "too much" and "not enough" in our dishes. Too much bread, too much meat, not enough topping, not enough seasoning. There was too much salt on the salad, and not enough texture or variety in flavor. The ingredients on their own are decent but somehow they just don't work together. For instance, the brioche buns are good, but way too much for a fried meat sandwich. A simpler, thinner bread would probably be better. See what I mean? Neither of us finished our food. For $30 a person, I feel disappointed. read more

Absolutely excellent. Made the best drive until we find something to eat choice. Actually we chose Sisters because we found parking which is a precious commodity in the area. Best decision. I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans along with the Burratta salad. It was so good that I was half way done when I remembered to take pictures!! The salmon was in a lemon caper sauce that was light and not salty. Salmon flaked as I dug in with my fork and was oh so tender and also not overly salty. Ate every green bean and for me that is saying something because I'm not a veggie person. Even ate the capers. I wanted to switch the potatoes for salad which they had graciously agreed to do BUT it would have been a small side salad with field greens which I cannot eat. The Burratta was delicious and filled with beets and citrus wedges along with the cheese. Loved it. My friend had the chicken sandwich and said it was one of the best she had and was moist and crispy all at the same time. Our third friend loved her burger and didnt talk much!! Excellent portion sizes. Ambience was perfect. I would go back just to sit in the corner, nurse a drink, and vibe to the music and just 'be' at peace. Service was excellent and food was brought out hot and quick. Will definitely return. Maybe even next week! read more

As a native to Philly, I feel blessed and spoiled as it relates to the consortium of quality food abound in the city. My experiences with the New York food scene haven't been as glamorous. In my varied run-ins with New York restaurants the flavor profiles of the food has never matched the typically well done presentation. This restaurant is an exception to that. I tried a good portion of the menu from the brussel sprouts(the tahini sauce is refreshing), fried wings(scallions!!!!!!),and the fried cod sandwich(crispy AND juicy) there were no misses. Treat yourself to something special by giving this place a try. read more

Overall rating: 4.7 I'm a little torn by some of these low reviews. It's hard to believe that this place would have bad service, given I've been coming here for years. Granted, I do usually just sit at the bar and only get one item: kale Caesar salad (which is sooo good) I love the set up, but also the quantity is just gigantic! I have gotten it through food delivery a few times and it's not the same volume. So if you're craving some salad, I'd recommend just going in. I have seen recently a lot of people working at the bar (working remotely), so it may be chiller going towards the afternoon. I recommend giving it a try. Also restaurant itself is so beautiful! read more

Last Wednesday (Juneteenth), Pana did not communicate well that Sisters were out of fish after I ordered the Fried Fish Sandwich. In turn, she gave me the fried chicken sandwich. Mind you, I don't eat meat. So, I ordered another dish and I had to wait and watch my sister finish her meal. The second dish didn't come I time so I ask for my pan seared salmon to go and this is what they gave me. See the photo. read more

Good brunch spot! Visited Sisters for a brunch date and it was a nice experience. The front isn't too large but they also use the outdoor patio so that made for more space. The food, the staff, and the ambiance was great but the brunch menu is limited for people who have gluten allergies and don't eat pork. I wish there were more options. I'm really enjoyed my spicy mezcal margarita and the playlist was absolutely fire. Beyonce, Rihanna, Mariah - they played the hits! read more

Came here for brunch and the place was packed but we had reservations. Tried the Mac and cheese and fried chicken which were just both ok. I'd maybe come back just to chill because the space was nice and airy. I liked my wrap enough, but the service was really really slow despite there being very few customers and several staff chilling out. Taste: I got a wrap, and I liked it! The side salad was really salty. If this was a cheap, quick option I might order to go, but I think the appeal is supposed to be the vibe. Experience: seating was easy, but it took forever to order and forever to get the bill. Idk what was up. Maybe just an off day? This was a Friday afternoon around lunch and it didn't seem busy. Mood Before/After: I was happy before and after. Fullness: full enough! What else did I eat/do today affecting my experience: I was spending time with my good friend who flew in from Paris. We didn't mind the bad service, I just can't recommend this place though read more

Came here for a quick meal! This place is so pretty on the inside. The menu was slightly underwhelming so I struggled a bit to pick something to eat but ended up thoroughly enjoying my vegan wrap! Ambiance was nice giving very green vibes inside. The place was pretty empty upon arrival I'm sure we arrived in between dinner and lunch. We ordered cheese burgers which both ended up coming with no cheese. The waiter stated they didn't know we wanted cheese but we conversed about the types of cheese they had before we placed the order. I asked for medium cooked burgers and it ended up being well done. The pickles are made in house which I love. The burger was pretty good I just wish it was cooked medium with cheese. Towards the end of the order there was a person seated directly next to us despite the empty restaurant kinda felt like they were pushing us out. Also they closed the bill before we could get the dessert. Then they reopened the bill before when I said I wanted dessert. All in all I feel sisters used to be a better experience. Maybe we just came at a bad time. Service was fast though and waiter was kind. read more

Went here on a date last night and the bar has a great atmosphere and the service was fantastic. Would recommend for a chill night out

I've been coming here for brunch since 2017, and I've never been let down. Their savory french toast is my favorite dish to order. I typically get a side of fries, which is enough for 2 - 3 people to share. More recently, I tried their egg sandwich, and that was incredible as well. You can easily tell that their food is made with high-quality ingredients. I love everything about the ambience: natural skylight, live plants, and the grand shelf behind the bar. It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere. It's usually full during brunch hours, so make sure to reserve a table ahead of time. Otherwise, you might be waiting for a while to be seated. Overall, I think this is one of the best brunch spots in Brooklyn. read more

We got food poisoning here. I let the waiter know that the hurrays didn't taste right and he basically gaslit me. The next two days we were both sick. I wrote sisters on IG (their website isn't really functioning) after more than a week someone wrote back apologizing that they'd get a manager to respond who never did. Great restaurant if to eat at if you like all the above scenario and two days near the toilet... otherwise I'd stay clear plenty of other options in the neighborhood. read more

Me and my best friend arrive around 6:30pm to this restaurant. We had no reservations, but was told to go to the section in the back and sit at the bar. When we got to the bar, they were no seats available at the bar, but a table andn2'chairs available, right next to the bar. After 10 minutes, the waiter came and asked for our order, which we explained we did not have because we were told to come to the bar, which was full. She told us to wait and went to the front for a few minutes. She explains that these sets were reserved and we would have to move by 7:45pm for the 8pm reservations. We were ok with that and thought we would most likely be done by that time. After 15 minutes we were told that there was a space available for us to be seated. So we moved to the space presented. The restaurant was pretty dark and we could barely see our menu. We actually used our phones to read the menus. We ordered the Kale salad, Wings and the steak. The kale salad was delicious and we ordered some to take home. The wing were crispy and had a great taste; I could do without the peanuts on it. The steak was good, we both ordered medium- well steaks but they were more medium rare. The music wasn't the best, but when we were leaving, a DJ started to play music, which was a better vibe. Overall the food was good and I may return and will definitely make reservations. By the way, no one was seated in the "reserved" seats we were moved from, which was a bit annoying to me. read more

I came here for a late brunch with a friend on a Saturday and we were immediately sat inside. The restaurant is right next to the subway and easy to find. When you walk into the restaurant it's like a breath of fresh air because they have multiple skylights that make the room feel very bright. The restaurant itself isn't that big however their bar is pretty large and has a cool shelving setup. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered one of their spicy cocktails and my friend and I shared their huevos rancheros. The food was yummy and so were the drinks. Bathrooms were clean (a big bonus in my book). The Thursday night bar tenders seem to have a bad attitude but the food was pretty good!

Got there for a last minute birthday dinner, the kitchen closes at 11:45pm (a blessing). Just half a star less for the music, which is really subjective on my end, so that doesn't matter. It's a cute place with really good food. I had no expectations since I've never been and barely heard about the place. It's just somewhere I pass on my route all the time. The cauliflower was so good, a fusion of cultural influences on a plate, along with the nice crispy soy flavored wings. The star of the show was the perfectly cooked steak and mash. Something so simple was elevated with small details. They brought out a slice of key lime pie and everyone sung a warm happy birthday it was great! read more

I had this place on my list for a while but probably for the brunch. However, I was hungry, was on Fulton already so I decided to go in for lunch. At that point on Thursday, the scene was not too loud but not quiet (since it was close to 2) Because I was at least trying to be healthy, I got a kale salad (with additional chicken and an egg on top) and an orange juice. It came at a reasonable time to my table. The kale was massaged enough in the dressing that it didn't just feel like tough greens slathered in sauce in my mouth. There was an adequate amount of chicken as well. The OJ (you could taste the fresh squeeze) was not pulpy and I was happy with that. If I had chugged coffee before coming, I wouldn't mind getting a mocha. The wifi there was decent and I was glad since it was the second reason I came there. It wasn't too crowded or too loud that I couldn't concentrate (I had headphones but just in case I didn't, ambiance is important). Other people were doing so as well so it could be a place not just for catching up with friends or dates but also to get work done outside of your house (or even a work date lol). Overall, while I still need to try this place out for brunch, I think it could be a solid place for lunch read more

Made a 1:30pm reservation for a party of 2. Was sat around 1:45pm. The host tried to sit us outside on a 40 degree day. The only other option was a spot at the bar, which ended up being perfect! It took 30 minutes for someone to give us water, and longer to take our order. The location is beautiful, the music was cute, but the service was incredibly slow (they were kind). To add, the Spicy marg was diluted and the French toast was brick hard. I saw a popular IG page recommend this place but I'm so disappointed. I'll go back for the atmosphere on a warmer day, and maybe give it another try. read more

How the hell have I never written a review for Sisters? Possibly one of the most beautiful gems you can find. Sisters doesn't look like anything from exterior, but inside is a beautiful space with lots of tall ceilings, wood finishing, and natural light coming in from the top. Not sure if live music is coming back here anymore, but they did back in the day. There's a front and a back. Huge spaces. Beautifully designed bars. Plentiful amount of restrooms. The drinks are always on point and the food is always solid. These could be the best friend pickles in all of Brooklyn. This is a great spot for a date or a hang with friends. There is a space is the back you can inquire about having reserved for a large group. Great service and friendly staff make it a great spot. Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood. read more

To start off the food was great i had salmon and my boyfriend had the steak, But the downside was , we had made reservations and our server didn't even check , he just grabbed two menus and didn't even say follow me or let me take u to the table, we just assumed to follow him, also we had put in the notes that it was an anniversary dinner, yet the server placed us at a table where we sat across from each other but then a couple next to us who walked in with no reservations were placed at a table sitting next to each other. The service definitely left my bf and I feeling a bit off because it was just very unwelcoming. This restaurant is great for pictures and the food, but if you're celebrating something important i would not reccomend it at all. read more

I went to Sisters on a Friday night and have a great time! The food was delicious, the vibe was really nice, and prices were affordable. The food: a friend and I ordered the kale salad and burrata to split and both were delicious. The kale salad was massive and really tasty, 10/10 would get it again, I especially liked the crunchy bits on top and throughout. And you can never go wrong w burrata, we did ask for more bread because the amount we got wasn't enough and we didn't want the cheese and tomatoes to go to waste. I assumed we would order more but we were both pretty satisfied with just these two! The drinks: both of us ordered the garden mocktail and it was DELICIOUS! I'd love to try their other mocktails again soon. Would 100% recommend this if you want a refreshing nonalcoholic drink. The vibe: super cute. I especially loved the really tall and clear ceiling, it wasn't something I've seen in Brooklyn yet and felt really airy. The service: unfortunately what came between me giving sisters 5/5 stars was that our service was not great. We did not get checked on often, ran out of water, and had to wait about 20 minutes to ask to get our check after we'd been done for a while. It was a Friday night so definitely understandable, just something to note! read more

I really think that sisters is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Brooklyn. The bar has an amazing setup. Every photo you take here will be a good one, no effort needed. Usually when a place is this trendy and pretty the food isn't that great but that's not the case here. We each ordered the crispy fish sandwich because it just looked that good. It didn't disappoint and I highly recommend ordering it. We also tried the Brussel sprout appetizer which was perfect. They also make fantastic cocktails, the waiters really know how to keep them flowing too. We had so many margaritas. Great time, highly recommend. read more
