Pink Lady.
Lloyd C.

I drive by Sinceretea all the time either going to/returning home from the main street of Japantown (Jackson Ave). Street parking only. They offer inside and outdoor seating if you prefer. The decor is simple and clean. The pricing is a bit pricey but that's what you pay for quality tea. *Pink Lady: organic green tea, rose jam, guava juice (added house-made rose jelly +$1.00). Light and refreshing. Next time, I will try their mochi egg puffs. Come support your local business!

What an amazing experience! We just got to enjoy workshop one of three in learning the intricacies of tea. Of the three core types of tea (black, green, and oolong), the first class focuses on black teas. Jenny (store owner) is great at walking us step-by-step through different techniques in making tea, ranging from cold brew to making our own tea concentrate and mintea hibiscus specialtea. This is a great chill environment to learn about the nuances of tea! If you enjoy making your own tea, or just wanna learn more about tea, this is a great beginner class introduction to black tea! Thank you Jenny, Cyrus, and family for a wonderful experience! Looking forward to class #2!

Tiny place with no parking. But you can find street parking in front. Ordered on the kiosk. Good choices for drinks. Not cheap but pretty tasty. We ordered the Berry Merry with boba and Lavender Lemonade. Tea was light and the strawberry tasted fresh but the drink seemed watered down. The Lemonade was better. Would try again if in the area. Service was ok. Inside was fairly clean. And it was nice and warm temperature!

One of my favorite spots for rose lemonade. This spot is tucked away near San Jose Japantown. This is my second time coming here and I got the rose lemonade. I like it a bit less sweet and with less ice. The drink comes with rose jelly that they make in house. The drink is refreshing and has a good rose flavor. It's not bitter or overwhelming. Also the lemonade isn't super sour too! It's a well balanced drink!

Teana Colada
Emery N.

I ordered the Teana Colada without coconut cream. My drink came out within 10 minutes. I was not too sweet at 25% sugar so I asked for a bit more and it was good enough for me. This shop is a great place for studying or dates. It's mostly quiet with students here. Unfortunately parking is limited to 15 minutes outside so find streetside parking elsewhere. I recommend this place if you're ever in downtown San Jose and want boba and a quiet environment!

It took a while for the order to be served so keep this in mind when getting food. But the dark roasted oolong tea flavor was nice and strong and black sesame in the egg puff were nicely roasted with pieces of mochi in each puff! Great calm cafe study vibes ~

Like this place, very neat, owner is pleasant and friendly! Enjoy the food, coffee and setting!

Like this place, great service and delicious food and coffee! A quiet and pleasant ambiance!

I'm not sure if this is just this drink, because we only tried one but something definitely tasted "off." Almost like something went bad in the drink itself. The jelly/pudding texture does not mix well with the drink itself either. I'd come back to try a different drink but this one was just not it.

This place made me feel so excited! First, when I walked it I was greeted by both a man and woman who were sweet and friendly. I was so excited to see samples - that's always fun! I sampled both the tea and mochi egg puff and was sold. Ended up ordering the black sesame egg puff which was delicious, and a custom tea. I went for the Peony Tea zero sweet pandan jelly and rose cream with a salted plum. YUM!!! The creams and jellies are homemade - not too sweet, just right. Actually had a hard time ordering because the whole menu looked magnificent :-). In terms of the ambiance, the space it self was well lit, bright and spacious. I was able to get easy street parking.

The "Golden Spring" :/ just bitter pineapple water.

The tea was....not good. I don't think this place specializes in milk tea, so don't come here for that. I got a dark roasted oolong with whole milk and it was so watery and tasteless. The boba was decent. The lavender lemonade was alright. The golden spring drink (their "specialTea") was bitter and watery too. No pineapple flavor at all, like it was from a can. The workers were kind and we got our drinks pretty quick but gosh...what a let down. The drinks didn't look like the pictures and it felt very rushed and low quality even though it wasn't busy.

Jasmine milk tea cloud & peony plum tea

I've been here once yearssss ago and they did a major facelift - super cute and dainty. This is literally the closest boba place to my place.. which means easy to access! There's street parking on Taylor or on the residential streets. So excited about this cloud series! They have 3 flavors: Jasmine, peony, oolong. I went with the Jasmine one with boba. FYI this already comes with the strawberry foam so no need to add extra. The boba was made well, the perfect chewiness. I like that it has a good blend of tea flavor even though it's a blended ice drink.. and if the ice melts, it still tastes pretty good. My sister got the peony plum tea; it is super refreshing but it lacked ice.. there was no option to select ice level on the kiosk.. so we added more ice when we got home. Not sure how long this cloud series will be around but def will be back to try the other two flavors!

Berry Merry

This is a hidden boba shop that blends in with their neighbors and community. I've always drove past but never took a chance to try it out until today. I stopped by on a Thursday around 4pm. It looked like a slow day. The interior isn't huge but if you're looking for a place to sit down and do some work, this is a great spot. I ordered a Berry Merry which is green tea, tasted like jasmine, strawberry puree, and randomly orange juice. I ordered it less sweet and it was perfect for me. The tea was strong and slightly bitter, then you taste the sweetness of the strawberry puree. The orange juice was pretty subtle but it did pair well with the drink and added a slight tartness. Next time I would try some of their toppings. The service was pretty fast, it took less than 3 minutes for me to receive it. As I was ordering, I saw samples for drinks and some of their snacks. The entire room smelled like their egg waffles and it was extremely tempting. If I didn't have dinner soon I would've caved in. The interior was cozy, clean, neat, and aesthetic. I definitely would enjoy doing some work in here.

Solid place to get tea that is flavorful and not overloaded with sugar. Waffle was okay, but the teas are good.

Even at 100% sweetness, they actually weren't too sweet, I would even argue getting 125% to match other boba places 100% sweetness. The boba had a really good flavor and sweetness to it that balanced everything out perfectly. Overall a great spot to grab a drink. I even got a pic of the seating without anyone in my photo. SCORE! I would highly recommend a day other than the weekend. I would give this place a 3.5 if I could. I just ordered a drink for myself and for my brother. In and out in maybe 10minutes? There's a kiosk to order and a spot to pick up your drink-- very efficient. I got the basic jasmine milk tea because I love jasmine tea and knew that if any place were to make the best jasmine milk teas, it would be this place. Molly is Chinese for jasmine anywayyyyyy (shout out to my coworker for telling me this!). I did not try my brother's tea so I cannot comment on it. I liked my jasmine tea, I can tell it was higher quality than other places I've had jasmine tea, but is it worth the hype? I don't think so. It's good, don't get me wrong, but wait-in-a-3-hour-line good? nothing is. I think I've also become desensitized to the high tea prices that $7-8 is somehow normal? When it shouldn't be! My only frame of reference nowadays is seeing how much tea cost in Asia. And in Taiwan (the birthplace of boba) I got boba for $3 ;( *sigh oh well I live in one of the most expensive places in the country but also I cannot believe I let myself think this is okay. Anyway, it's a treat, not a habit I would give into everyday.

Each ingredient tasted fresh and added a different texture. I would definitely get the Ha Noi Mist again. I ordered online and I was grateful to see the pricing was the same. Pick up was super easy. I opted for ice on the side because I wasn't having my che until later, but unfortunately the ice froze into one big chunk in my freezer so I might just have them put the ice in the drink next time. I think price might be the only sticking point. The che is about 50% more expensive than Bambu or other Vietnamese dessert spots. I can absolutely see why their products are more expensive and totally think the quality of their dessert drinks surpass Bambu or similar dessert cafes. At the same time I have to acknowledge that I can order a che ba mau at another dessert spot and have my craving satisfied for less money. For me, this makes Co Ba a special treat that I wouldn't be able to have all the time.

This drink had me saying "Oh wow!" after taking the first sip. After the second sip, it was "Was that a really ripe mini chunk of fresh mango?" This was so well executed that it felt effortless. It wasn't overly sweet-- the Matcha and the Mango flavors blended together beautifully yet you could make out the flavors of both. I usually scoff at how expensive drinks are these days but I could justify the price on this. **Black Sesame Coffee Einspanner $7.50: Signature espresso drink with our house-made Black sesame cream with your choice of milk. Another hit. I love Black Sesame and when I can find it, I order. This was also on par with the Sunny Side up because of how distinctly flavorful it was. You can taste the nuttiness of the black sesame seeds. Add in the espresso and it makes for a coffee that you could gulp down. Both of these drinks are dangerous because if it was up to me, I could have probably drank these both in under 5 minutes. Sigh.

Something cool and unique was that they had samples of their milk tea when you walk in (through dispensers). I was interested in trying their ice cream and saw they had some unique flavors like golden star, kheer, and more. While I tried them and thought they were good but sweet, I opted for the mint chocolate and my partner got their chocolate orange. In my personal opinion, I think their mint chocolate ice cream was a bit grainy for my liking, and I wish it was smoother. It was a mild mint flavor with neon green coloring. My partner's ice cream was interesting. I thought it would be a mixed chocolate-orange flavor (which is unique), but it ended up being half chocolate and half orange. I wouldn't necessarily say this place is somewhere I would be an extreme advocate for you to go to but if you have some kiddos who want a sweet treat, this would definitely satisfy their sweet tooth.
