Sin is one of the best bakeries in RI! Any baked goods I've ad from here is amazing! I especially love their mini pies that they make especially for pi day. It's been a tradition for a few years and l love it. I always go for key lime. It's so tasty! I've worked or done classes from here a few times. Their coffee is yummy and their space is colorful and inviting. The staff is always friendly too. I love sin. It's a providence gem!
Totally upbeat and positive experience like always. So it's HENEH. Perfect he was very wonderful. He was acceptable. He also explained what things were and we're waiting on too good to go back but we always get our coffee from here so we can relax a little bit before we go someplace else but was an incredible server really good behind the counter experience and patience. as always. It was nice and quiet here in the streets not too busy today so able to find good parking. I wish they had more outside seating.
Stopped here late on a Saturday afternoon and there was still a very good selection of desserts. I got the blueberry lemon bomb, blackberry and champagne gluten free cupcakes. The blueberry bomb was incredible and worth the high price of $10. I was less impressed with the blackberry cupcake as it was a little dry and the frosting not very sweet. The champagne cupcake was a pleasant surprise as some of the GF stuff I've got in the past (other bakeries) just weren't good. This cupcake was super moist and flavorful. Will definitely be returning here for more delectable goodies!
Met here briefly and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The space is very nice, I liked the floral painting on the wall. There's a case of baked goodies including a good amount of gluten-free options and a bar, which is cool. I grabbed the bacon breakfast sandwich which was super yummy. I like the biscuit and *woo* it's gluten-free! I also grabbed the orange cardamom mousse bombe to go. It wad light and had a yummy sponge cake inside. I couldn't finish it by myself!
I've always loved Sin, but I loved them a little bit extra today. I came in looking for a sweet gluten-free treat, & was delighted to find that there were so many options. The nice employee behind the counter pointed them all out to me - Not once, but twice. I had a vicious case of morning brain. I checked out with a gluten-free cupcake for $3.50 (which I think is decently reasonable, considering the size, quality, & lack of gluten) but couldn't get the breakfast sandwiches out of my head. So I joined the back of the line again to make a second purchase. I decided on a bacon breakfast sandwich on a gluten-free biscuit. The employee even toasted it for me. It was *so* good. Small, but mighty. I haven't had a biscuit in what feels like a century & so this sandwich nearly brought me to tears. Sin is a bakery, yes, but don't miss out on their coffee shop vibes during the day & quiet bar vibes at night.
The space is clean and colorful. They have great gluten-free and vegetarian options. I've ordered cakes from here that have been absolutely mouth watering delicious.
I purchased tickets to the dessert holiday tasting at sin and it was more than what I was expecting. They had a table show casing the holiday desserts we were going to sample and not only did it look delicious they tasted pretty good too! Once you had the opportunity to sample the desserts your stomach can take, there is a chance for you to place an order for the holiday and receive 10% off the desserts that were displayed. I really loved how they allowed us to grab as many desserts as we want, complementary coffee and water was available, and I didn't feel rush. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. I originally had a table right by the AC and when my friend asked to move to a different table they were super nice about it and let us move. A introduction of the tasting experience would have added a nice touch but overall I had a pleasant experience and my sweet tooth was definitely satisfied.
i ordered a too good to go order from here and thankfully i scored a parking spot right up front, when I walked inside the atmosphere is very peaceful and the murals on the wall are beautiful! i was greeted right away and it only took about 30 seconds to get my order, inside my mystery box was a bunch of brownies and they were absolutely delicious will definitely come by here again to try some more treats and eat inside! p.s if you haven't tried the too good to go app definitely check it out it offers mystery boxes from many different places at discount prices to help reduce food waste!
Got a birthday cake from here with red velvet filling. Cake turned out great and tasted amazing. It wasn't too sweet which I liked. The cake was reasonably priced and served 18-20 people. They have rolls and other good stuff too. Would definitely recommend getting a cake from here.
Have had many items from Sin and never have had a complaint. Came tonight for the Holiday Preview Tasting. Everything was great! My faves were the tiramisu, chocolate cream pie, orange cranberry cheesecake and the chocolate chip cookie. The best thing I ate though was the biscuit with honey butter! Top 3 Espresso Martini in my book. Great night and I hope there is a Christmas preview!! Lots of seating and everyone was so friendly!
I ordered my daughters birthday cake there on September 31st. I sent them the picture of a high heart cake and asked them to duplicate it in pink. We got the 8 inch.The cake was perfect! We got champagne with strawberry buttercreme frosting and it was the best buttercreme frosting I ever had! Everyone loved it. My daughter loved it so much she ordered a heartshaed red velvet with cream cheese frosting in between the layers and a buttercreme frosting on the outside. It was a disco decorated cake and my daughter said it was the best red velvet cake she ever had! I can't wait to order more cakes for the holidays! Anyone old enough to remember Ann's Bakery in Silverlake and loved their frosting needs to order their cakes ftom here with the buttercreme frosting. It is perfect and not to sweet like most are. Definitely best cakes ever!
Sin is nestled in an ecclectic and interesting place and there was so much to see in the area on this beautiful day. There's a few tables tucked against the building as well as seating inside. There was also a flowchart at the entrance to help you decide if you needed a mask. I love a good flowchart! They are themed after dessert being a sinful thing. But it's all portioned in not so gluttonous servings. They are also clearly well known for their event cakes - the models looked amazing. They gave me my iced coffee with room to add, oat milk and liquid sugar was at the bar. They use New Harvest here, so of course it's local and it's good! I also had to have the Boston... er... Providence Creme Pie. It was nice and thick, not too sweet, not too soft. They will make you want to come back for more. #RIFoodFights #BestIcedCoffeeRI #BuyLocalRI
A vibrant place just around the way filled with yummy baked goods and a variety of coffee options. So love the mural and the vibe of the place. They are also open at night and offer specialty cocktails.

Honestly, I live directly around the corner from this bakery - and walking inside might've been the single most genius decision I've ever made. The snowball cookie tastes like a homemade brownie with icing. It's extremely delicious. The chocolate chip cookie is topped with a bit of sea salt that is UNDEFEATED. The Rum Bundt cake is great both warm andddd cold lol. I literally sat in my car and killed it... didn't even make it home. Please go. They aren't open on Mondays or Tuesdays! Sin is amazing! I contacted them through their website to see if they could bake a "Nutter Butter" cookie cake for my dad's 60th birthday. Going to make this short and sweet. If you like sweet come to sin. If you need a custom cake. Come to sin. If you want vegan options come to sin. If you want to take cookie or cake decorating classes come to sin. If you live on federal hill you are closer to sin than you think. I always pass sin because I just assume places don't have vegan options. Yesterday we were walking by and I peeked at the menu and saw the word vegan. So I rannnnn inside. I was greeted by a very polite employee who explained the pastries to us. She also told us I believe after 5 they serve alcohol and have dessert plates to pair with alcohol. Pretty cool to see booze at a cake pastry shop. There were 3 vegan options so I got 2 out of 3. I got the passion fruit Raspberry scone and the vanilla coconut cupcake. The frosting was so creamy. And the scone was so moist and not hard or dried out which most scones get. We took them to go but ended up eating there because we couldn't wait. My partner got a non vegan cookies and cream pop tart, man did that look good. If you heard about this place or pass it do what I did and go in you will be so pleasantly surprised. Thank you sin for the vegan options. I will totally be back. You made my week! read more
A most fabulous place and I adore the idea and what is happening here behind the bar and in the kitchen. To for one, have such a unique place that puts such care in the sweet treats is one remarkable thing but to also have a care for craft cocktails that perfectly marry all of the Devine deserts, is unheard of. But at Sin, they do both excellent.!!!! A one of a kind true gem! With a bar stocked full of a mixologist tools to delight anyone's need for any of the 7 deadly sins and with such care and respect put in to every cocktail, I'm only sad I can't spend more time here .... like everyday! read more

Abby and the whole team at Sin did a fantastic job for my daughter's Coco inspired birthday cake. The attention to details, the colors were everything I had pictured! Abby was kind enough to speak with me (when i dropped by without an appointment) to discuss the details of the cake design and flavor and even gave me a sample of the vanilla cake with sprinkles she 'messed' up (which tasted amazing btw). I took off one star because the raspberry buttercream filling I requested was a let down as you could not taste any hint of berries at all. The baker and I had also agreed to do a mixed filling of ganache and buttercream but there was no ganache. Having said that, the cake itself was nice and moist and not sickly sweet. I just wish the filling was as good as the cake. Otherwise I would definitely order from Sin again :) read more

Sin Bakery did a lovely job on our wedding cake! They replicated the photo we sent them perfectly. The flavors were amazing and all our guests had such great things to say about the cake. They delivered from their shop in Providence to 22 Bowen's in Newport with ease. Communication from start to finish was spot on, as well. This was my first time going to Sin, and I was so impressed! This is their new location on Westminster, and it was clean, chic and super cute. I loved how you could see through to their decorating studio and watch some of the girls filling orders for cakes! They had at least three vegan options(which I love since I'm lactose intolerant) and several gluten free options as well. I got their vegan banana nut muffin, and vegan raspberry lemon scone. Both were amazing. My gf got a regular cinnamon roll and said it was great. We will definitely be back at night when this bakery turns into a full bar and dessert space! Vegan treats and wine? Recognizing that rich, heavy food can leave you quite full, seeing many late night / dessert bars go to waste at the tail end of a reception, we opted towards mini cupcakes for our friends and family at our wedding and Sin Desserts did not disappoint. An opportunity beforehand with a few of our friends to sample, we easily made a diverse selection of 4 mini cupcakes, showcasing the culinary sweetness of Rhode Island while incorporating the season (between Summer and Autumn in our case). So impressed, we also used Sin Desserts for our wedding cake. Providing our wedding colors and design examples beforehand, making both cake, filling and frosting selections, Sin created for us a beautiful, simple, one-tier cake to stand atop the multiple levels of cupcakes. Set up and delivery at our venue, working in tandem with our caterer, Sin did an awesome job. Nearly all the cupcakes consumed, some of our guests clearly taking multiples of just one flavor, we were given rave reviews for both flavor and texture. Our simple cake, outstandingly decadent, so much so that while we got our one slice to enjoy together, our guests obliterated the rest. My only qualm with Sin is that sometimes the customer service is a bit lackluster. Other than that the quality of the pastry is phenomenal! I used to get a mini cake from here after each successful semester and I would absolutely go to town on it haha they also have blossoming tea, think Kirsten Dunst Marie Antoinette flowering tea...it's gorgeous and I wish I discovered it on the menu it pre-covid as I'm sure it's even more beautiful in a teacup. I follow Sin on Instagram and have been hoping to stop in. Drove by today and stopped in for a delicious iced coffee and a treat. The girl working was very friendly and helpful. She let me try the nitrous iced coffee so I can decide if that's what I wanted. Which I did because it was very good. So many options for a treat. I got a maple bacon oatmeal whoopie pie. Shared it with a coworker and we both finished out the afternoon on a nice sugar high. The maple cream inside was perfection. Will definitely go back. read more

Professional. Delicious. Efficient. After many years of using mediocre bakeries for my birthday events... a little bird whispered in my ear about this fine establishment. I need to buy this little bird a bottle of wine for thanks! I emailed Sin to inquire about possibly ordering a cake from them for my party in April. I received a response within a few hours to schedule a tasting discuss designs, etc. I was impressed that I was given a one-on-one experience with the designer to make my cake unique and right for me! We sat down and looked over some pictures to incorporate different elements into the cake and she started drawing it up for me. Her ideas were so modern and exactly what I wanted! The tasting. This was so hard! Each piece I tried, I fell in love with! Finally, I just couldn't pass up the champagne cake with dark chocolate raspberry ganache filling. My knees went weak as I devoured the cupcake before me! For large cake orders, a small deposit is required and the balanced paid over the phone via credit card. Very convenient ordering process. No confusion. No surprises. Just how I like it! I can't wait to design my cake for next year and to once again indulge in a dessert masterpiece! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! read more
I've tasted a couple of wedding cakes from here and loved them, so I knew I had to stop in and try some of their bakery treats. There isn't a lot of variety as a walk-in customer: whoopie pies, cookies, and cupcakes are what I had to choose from. However, everything I did taste was super delicious. The pumpkin whoopie with cream cheese filling was divine. Some folks make them way too sweet, but this was very nice. The chocolate chip cookie was perfectly crunchy but still bendable -- not too hard or stale, not too soft. Perfection. Friends have mentioned that their cakes are on the pricier side, but I suppose you get what you pay for! read more

Recently had my wedding cake made here and the process was great and very professional. We sampled cake flavors and picked a chocolate bourbon cake with raspberry filling and vanilla bean frosting. The cake was delicious and many guests also made sure to tell us! My only complaint is (aside from the price for a small wedding cake...eek! But I suppose somewhat typical for wedding cakes in general...still in shock) anyway, we asked for a gray and white marbled fondant cake with hints of navy and silver. What we got was a light blue and gray marbled cake with some silver. Overall it looked fine, wasn't my biggest wedding concern. Since it tasted so awesome and they were great to work with, I'll give 4 stars. read more

Jennifer made two cakes for my wedding last night - a pirate themed groom's cake and then a three tiered traditional wedding cake with sugar cymbium orchids, vines, and then two squirrels on top. One groom and one bride. Both cakes were super cute and everyone loved the squirrels!! The groom's cake was a peanut butter cake with mexican chocolate ganache. It was amaaaaazing!! The wedding cake had coconut cake and chocolate filling, as well as a yellow cake with a berry filling. Those were also delicious! Everyone raved about them. Along with the cakes, I really liked the professionalism that Jennifer brought to the process of designing the cake. She drew it out for us so we could confirm that what we were saying and what she visualized in her head were the same thing. I also like the fact that she provides a one year anniversary cake free of charge. No year old frozen cake for us!! :) read more
Sin Bakery made my cake for my July wedding. From start to finish, Sin provided excellent service. My tasting went very smoothly...so many delicious choices! I actually ended up taking my leftovers to go (there were A LOT) and went to my cousin's house for dinner where we decided on final flavors. Thank goodness we did that because Sin was my second cake tasting just that day so my taste buds were on sugar overload. I explained exactly how I wanted my two cakes. I wanted one to match my wedding invitation in terms of being a dusty pink and then also some beautiful piping to match the design. My other cake was a chocolate Texas shaped cake with the Texas flag on it. Not only was this very specific design executed PERFECTLY, the cake tasted SOOO DELICIOUS!!! It was moist and just SO yummy! I didn't think something that pretty could turn out THAT yummy but it definitely did!!! Altogether, I'm so pleased/grateful that we hired Sin for our wedding cake! Such a cute bakery with a great atmosphere! This bakery offers it all! Baked goods (with vegan options), custom order cakes, played desserts, coffee drinks, cocktails, and beer! Who needs anything more?! Bakers were very pleasant and friendly. There is a huge windows in the shop that shows right into their kitchen, so it was pretty cool to watch them work on customs cake orders while eating goodies! My friend and I stopped in during an evening in Providence, RI and thoroughly enjoyed our dessert! The service was great and everyone was super friendly. We ended up ordering the Gluttony dessert platter to split, and ended up with leftovers, so we were given a box to take everything home. When the platter came out, our waiter explained each of the desserts to us. Everything was plated beautifully and was delicious! read more

It's hard to figure out what to comment on first: Sin's talent, taste or customer service. A bit of backstory, first. My partner's 50th birthday is in August and to mark this milestone I threw him a party at our favorite restaurant. I thought it would be fun to do a 50 Shades of Grey style cake (not a fan of the book, personally) as many of our friends attending would get it and find it cute. I googled some images, and sent a query to my partner's favorite bakery just outside of Boston, only to be cake-shamed and told to take my money and my business elsewhere as they were a "family business." Yes, cake shamed, because the cake, which you'll see in the photos, involved mild references to kink. So, I googled and came across Sin. I mean, with a name like that, they not only had to be delicious, but also be open to creative ideas, right? Within hours of sending my query, with the image of the cake I had in mind (along with the leather pride flag), Marisa emailed me back to say Sin would love to help and would put together a sketch of their take on the cake. The next day they sent me a sketch of the design and I fell in love. But a sketch is one thing - the execution is another matter. I sent a friend to pick it up because I was in Boston and he was coming to the party from his home in RI. When he texted me the image, it was EXACTLY as designed right down to the rope work on the top tier. Furthermore, it tasted AMAZING - a champagne cake with strawberry buttercream. Actually, it had extra buttercream because, well, I like frosting (as does my partner, so it wasn't totally a selfish request). The fondant was very tasty too - and this is from someone who hates the stuff. But I think what made this entire experience positive is that Sin didn't shy away from doing something a little risque, and treated me with respect. Having been cake shamed previously, I was just going to do a basic cake and call it a day. Sin made my partner's birthday so very special because they did an amazingly tasty design true to their word without any hesitation at all. Sin provided a cake for my wedding this past weekend and I can't fully describe how incredibly amazing the cake was. From the beginning of the cake process, the staff was beyond helpful. We worked with Abby who is not only a delight, but extremely talented. She was patient with my vague instructions and helped us choose cake flavors everyone would love. I gave her full reign of decorating the cake, and on the day of I couldn't believe how perfectly she captured exactly what I wanted (especially since I barely told her anything about what I wanted it to look like). The cake itself was absolutely delicious, everyone was raving about how flavorful it was! I would recommend sin to any bride who wants the most amazing cake made for them. The cake was more than just a cake, it was a beautiful statement piece.We will certainly only use hem again for our cake needs!!! read more
