Iced Blueberry Vanilla Bean Float Latte (~$9)
    Aya E.

Ordered: Iced Caramelized Banana Latte (~$7) Iced Blueberry Vanilla Bean Float Latte (~$9) Aya's take: Is it even a trip to Rhode Island without going to The Nitro Bar? It was my first time here and we luckily arrived before the lines got long (9am on a Sunday). I'm a sucker for banana so naturally I got the Iced Caramelized Banana Latte. Let me just say, they nailed it! It's fresh banana, sweetness from the caramelized taste but not overpowering, and such a great sweetener to balance out the espresso. The Iced Blueberry Vanilla Bean Float Latte also stood out and is worth a try. The blueberry, again, tasted very real and you can tell they make all their syrups in-house. Same with the vanilla bean float which is basically a vanilla cold foam on top which added some sweetness and creaminess to the drink. Honestly, both were good tries and I totally see why this spot is so popular. Worth a try!

I've seen this coffee shop on TikTok for years so I was excited to finally try it! First, I lucked out by coming a half hour before they closed so there was no line! The baristas were really nice as well. I ordered the caramelized banana latte. I've tried a lot of banana/banana bread lattes over the years and this one tasted the most real. That house made banana syrup is next level good! This location is inside a bike shop so there's only a few chairs and some outside tables so definitely more of a to-go spot. Overall, I'd say they have a lot of cool drinks that I'd return to try.

I think Nitro Bar is overrated. In total, we waited around an hour (in line and for the drinks). An employee came by the line outside a couple times to hand out menus which was very helpful. Drinks didn't take long once ordered. We got a regular iced matcha latte with honey and an iced caramelized banana matcha latte. The flavor of the matcha itself was not great. I wish the texture was more creamy. The banana was good but a bit too overpowering. I'd probably give it a 6.5 or 7/10

Nitro Bar...is exactly as good as the internet hype says it is! My husband and i joined the line around 10am on a Sunday morning which only took ~22 minutes for us to order. This was our second visit to the shop, but first at the Providence location. The team moved swiftly and operated with kindness through every step of the process. All drinks and food items were great quality and incredibly flavorful. The Caramelized Banana latte is a must try

So good!! Love their matcha it was perfectly sweet and staff was super friendly and helpful with ordering! Got the matcha cookie which was so good too. Line was long but worth it. Also got their breakfast sandwich and their sauces were really good.

first time at the nitro bar providence location. there was a decent line ( 15 minutes ) on a sunday afternoon around midday. i ordered the matcha lemonade. the combination of the matcha with the sweet and tart lemonade had such great flavor. i absolutely loved it. it was super refreshing and perfect for a warm day. i got my drink about five minutes after ordering. there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. it does get pretty busy. overall, it has such a cute vibe and is totally worth the hype.

Saying that I'm obsessed with their delicious cold brew and their unique flavors is an understatement! This is hands down one of the best cold brews I have had in a long time! A coworker and I came to the Nitro Bar after work and, luckily, the line wasn't too long so we were served fairly quickly! The place is small and VERY popular, so I wouldn't recommend coming on the weekends as the line will quite literally be wrapping outside the store and almost to the other establishment next to it! However, the coffee is 100% worth the wait!! I highly recommend trying their Dark Horse Cold brew with one of their home made flavors ( my friend recommended the cookie butter, but the caramelized banana is amazing too). Can't wait to be back for more!!!

Four words: whipped cookie butter latte! Yum! Nitro bar is always packed so my best tip is if you're a coffeeholic like me, go after 2pm. (I know, I know- super late for a coffee) but if you need afternoon pick me up that was the best way to get their coffee but avoid the line! The cafe is next to a bike shop but it adds character. It definitely gives "Providence" vibes.

I would love to give this place five stars, but it is very overly priced and the inside is so small and jampacked. The service is rush rush, which I'm sure it's because it's slammed in there. They really do need to expand their space because I was not able to enjoy my first visit here.. Prices are over moderate... $10 for a 20 ounce caramelized banana latte with their cold foam. They put way too much banana flavor in it. The cold from was delicious, but very, very thick and hard for me to get a sip of coffee through it, it's more like a whipped frosting. The coffee was pretty good too just overly banana flavored. I'm not sure when I will go back to this establishment, maybe if they expand the store. It was just way too loud and crowded.

The best and most consistently great coffee shop in town, even when super busy. The one downside is that the line on weekends can be super long. It's totally worth the wait, just make sure you bring your patience. Even on a weekday, the line may be short but to wait for food and coffee took about 25 mins to come out. Once again, patience is the key at Nitro and it's worth it every time. The coffee shop itself isn't anything fancy - you do get the bike shop next door if you want to kill time while you wait. There are a few counter seats but they are mostly taken up by people waiting. I wish there was more seating so you could stick around for a little longer or meet a friend. I love their fun drinks and their seasonal menu - the flavors they come up with are so good! I had the chai with maple sea salt whip on top - it was amazing. The cherry vanilla matcha was also very good. The pesto smash was delicious too. The egg was cooked perfectly and the avocado added a nice creamy touch. The breakfast sandwich was also great! You really can't go wrong with anything you order here.

My friend saw this place on TikTok so we had to stop by and see if it lived up to the hype. I really enjoyed my drink and even got help from the worker when deciding, which I really appreciated. I was debating between the cookie butter and raspberry matcha whipped cream top. But the raspberry mixed with the matcha was ultimately the better. There's seating around the cafe and it's also combined with a bike shop!

Ok so first time at the nitro bar so I had to try the nitro for my cookie butter drink. It is definitely strong. Very good, but if you're usually a latte girly like me, get it with the espresso instead! But that's a personal preference suggestion! My friend really liked hers with the matcha as well! My other friend tried the Caramelized banana one and was not the biggest fan of it all, but honestly to each their own! I always recommend trying it for yourself! Definitely threw me off when I walked in and there was a bike store attached to it! But I still the location is prime! Staff is very friendly and I'd definitely return again in the future!

Tried this for the first time after seeing it all over TikTok. Went on a rainy/cloudy Wednesday at 12:30pm. There was about 15 people in line in front of me and maybe 5 people waiting on their orders. Only took 10 minutes to get to the cashier/order and another 2 minutes waiting for my drink. It's very small in there so half of the line you have to wait outside. I ordered a small caramel iced banana latte made with espresso and skim milk. Overall it's pretty good, but just average. Definitely better than Dunkin or Starbucks but not AMAZING like I was expecting (that might be TikTok's fault for hyping it up so much). The syrup sits at the bottom of the drink and is impossible to stir around and disperse in the drink. I appreciate the syrup using actual bananas but I also wish it wasn't chunky (banana chunks). Make sure you grab a straw too at the counter- you definitely need one to stir!! I would come back only because I'm interested in what specialty drinks for fall they will have. This place definitely has creativity with flavors as well which I like. The prices are pretty high too. $7.25 for a small? And a tip on top of that? Ain't no way. Also- they only have 5 bar seats inside, taken up by people working on computers. There was also a customer who brought a cat in and sat at the bar (I'm allergic to cats).

Where does Nitro buy their cowboy cookie? Between the line and the fact that they sell out at 10am every day, I need a second option. Please and thank you.

I'm almost positive they make everything in house.

    Is this dog friendly?

Only outside. Because this is a business with food, RI law says dogs that aren't service animals can't be inside. But any outdoor seating is good to go!

Is there no online ordering at this location, nitro has it at all their others?

Does this cafe have sit down indoor seating at the moment?

When I went last month they didn't, but I think they plan to as soon as possible. They are super helpful, give them a ring!

Do they have indoor seating available?

Yes but it's just one long booth along the wall and about 4 small tables

Do they offer sugar free syrups for flavors?

No. I tried asking too/: they don't have any. Not at least when I went and I went not even a month ago

How is the parking in that area?

It's all street parking, there is no private parking lot. It is generally easy to park on the street.

Like, really really good third wave style espresso drinks that I've not found at other shops in Providence so far (two week visit). I was initially worried their iced strawberry matcha latte might be too sweet, but that was fortunately not at all the case! It was balanced and mild. Just be sure to stir it up! I like the branding, brightness of the cafe, and the fact that there's a decent amount of seating. I got the Iced French Vanilla Espresso Latte + Espresso Teddy which was well-made, bold, and enjoyable. I think the Espresso Teddy is actually made with cold brew and not espresso which I expected given the name and would have preferred. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the slow melt and the boost of caffeine I got as I kept sipping. And it's super cute! The Iced Mont Blanc was also a good try; the sweet orange flavor was subtle and surprisingly enjoyable adding a bright taste to each sip. If I'm ever back in Providence, I would totally come back and maybe try their matcha drinks.

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

There is a parking lot in the back, but I was not sure if it was for the café or apartments downstairs, so I just found street parking nearby. The inside gave me Spaniard vibes because of the cream, smooth walls and dark wooden accents. The following were the two things that instantly caught my attention when I walked in: They have merchandise on display for sale and it seems like high quality material and they had a vehicle made of croissants on display, maybe about 1.5 ft x 1 ft x 6 inches. They have their pastries on display which helps visualize what you're getting before buying it. They are unique and big in size. Their drink menu is good and includes a mix of teas (including matcha) and coffee. I went with the bee latte which was supposed to have honey, cardamom, and cayenne. I was interested in seeing how sweet, herbal/minty, and spicy would taste together. I was also [easily] self-convinced into getting a Za'atar croissant. After our order came out, we walked outside and sat at their patio area which has about 5-6 tables enough for two people each. The latte was good. I appreciated how it was not sweet, but I did think the cardamom was too subtle. It seemed like the cayenne was powder just sprinkled on top and I might've inhaled half of it on my first sip, so I was dying a bit. The Za'atar croissant was given to us in a brown paper box with the outside of their building drawn onto it. Since we asked for it toasted, it was warm and extra crispy/flaky on top. It was flat (about 1 inch thick) and about 6 inches in diameter, so big enough to share if you're just interested in a light snack. The inside of every swirl was packed with olive oil, middle eastern herbs, and lots of sesame seeds. Although it may take away from the traditional flavors and way of eating it, I wish it came with something to dip it into like whipped cream cheese or smashed olives. Nonetheless, it was delicious. On weekends, they have a laptop free policy which I think it good to allow for more people to enjoy, rather than people taking up tables for a while to do work.
