It has a ton of Japanese treats in the fridge as well as shelves. They also have a bar and sell wine and fun cocktails. They brew Bolt coffee (a local brewer and coffee shop) and make a truly exceptional cappuccino. Like, really really good third wave style espresso drinks that I've not found at other shops in Providence so far (two week visit). I was initially worried their iced strawberry matcha latte might be too sweet, but that was fortunately not at all the case! It was balanced and mild. Just be sure to stir it up! They also have some pastries and baked goods from Seven Stars Bakery, and we thoroughly enjoyed a small lemon cake. We'll likely be back in our last few days in town because we became quick fans!

I think the Espresso Teddy is actually made with cold brew and not espresso which I expected given the name and would have preferred. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the slow melt and the boost of caffeine I got as I kept sipping. And it's super cute! The Iced Mont Blanc was also a good try; the sweet orange flavor was subtle and surprisingly enjoyable adding a bright taste to each sip. If I'm ever back in Providence, I would totally come back and maybe try their matcha drinks.

The presentation of the tea was lovely, with a glass teapot and an unexpected side-serving of candied ginger. I liked the tea timer addition, for the perfectly brewed cuppa. I didn't personally care for my tea selection, as I didn't taste the main coconut flavor that was in the tea's name. I thought it was a nice touch that staff brought the tea to the table. However, it was then unexpected that you self-bus your table afterwards, which staff told me explicitly after dropping off my tea. Thus, I'm guessing people frequently didn't realize they were expected to bus their table after the initial service upfront. I felt mixed about the ambiance. I liked the neutral tones in theory, the windows, and a wall to the right that appeared to have wood elements. However, the lighting was too dim indoors, and instead of casting a warm glow and feeling cozy, it felt kind of drab and industrial/cold with all the grey. The concrete floor was significantly cracked and enhanced the non-cozy feel, and you can see in the photo that the chairs kind of look like patio furniture rather than a cafe vibe. While the table next to me was a unique resin table that was very cool and much more the aesthetic I tend to seek out, my own table was plain & worn. There were cute pillows on the back bench, which was the coziest element to the design, IMHO. Overall, I'd say the ambiance is eclectic and functional, but not cute or comfortable enough that I'd personally adopt it as a third space. If I'd ordered differently and thought the food & beverages were amazing, I might not have focused so much on the ambience...& you might not either. I ordered an iced coffee and pumpkin coffee cake muffin. The muffin was great, and had a tasty layer of coffee cake in the middle. They also had a GF muffin and vegan cream cheese - we love options and a place that understands dietary restrictions! They had non dairy milk out at no extra charge to add to regular coffee, which is great because I refuse to pay $1 at these other places for just a splash! But they have an up charge on non dairy milk for lattes. Definitely need to go back!

The pastry case was full of delectable looking items - there were so many items that I wanted to try ranging from mini fruit tarts, to assorted cups, cheesecake slices, creme caramel, and eclairs. We finally decided on a butter croissant stuffed with custard and fresh strawberries and it was amazing. The cafe is clean, bright, and beautiful with small tables and chairs lining the large windows, and they have outdoor tables as well. For coffee, we both got iced, and I had mocha and milk in mine. Coffee was excellent and I'm so glad we came here today. Prices are reasonable too. Definitely recommend the pastries, coffees, and the service was great.
