They sell fresh filled cannolis, cakes, cookies, pastries, etc. The small shop has a classic feel. On this visit, I just bought a box of cannolis. They had an option of a traditional filling, or with chocolate chips. They also had options for capping the ends. I chose chocolate chips for the chocolate chip filling, and pistachio for the traditional filling. I tried the traditional with pistachio. The shell is lighter than most of the places where I've bought cannolis. The filling was mildly sweet, very smooth and had a very slight fruit flavor. Perhaps from orange zest? In my experience, Scialo Bros is a cool place to visit and has good treats.

While I am a baked goods conoisseur, a long search yielded only a chocolate chip cookie that I really wanted to try. A soba noodle salad delivered what tasted like real buckwheat noodles along with some nice leafy accompaniments and a soy-ginger dressing. They do have a fair number of gluten-free baked goods, and thus will be able to serve most dietary restrictions.

They were completely sold out of their specials. However, what I was able to get was wonderful. I have always avoided almond croissants--not because I'm allergic, but because they are unfamiliar to me--however I did buy their last one and it was the best decision. It was delicious and I would definitely get it again. I was also able to score a pretzel croissant stuffed with cheese and let me tell you, I can't even wrap my head around how they made it taste just like a pretzel and a croissant at the same time. The top was a little salty for my taste, I assume there is salt in the magic wash they put on the outside of the croissant, so I did have to pick off the coarse salt sprinkled on top. My husband's overall favorite was the cinnamon roll. Giant, flaky, sweet, delicious! It's a nice change of pace from the standard doughy, glaze covered cinnamon roll. The strawberry danish for me, was almost too pretty to eat. I got over it though and found it to be both sweet and savory. There were a lot of layers in the pastry and I could definitely taste the butter in them. That combined with the just-right custardy filling with strawberries was quite pleasant. I did share these with my friends and we all had our own favorites. I also got a scone and pistachio macaron. The scone was a really nice size and the macaron, you could tell was made with quality ingredients. The buttercream filling was rich and delicious and thankfully came in a small portion. It is decadent! If you've made it all the way to the bottom of my rambling, I would like to take a moment to talk about how cute and clean the place is and how kind and informative the staff is. At a quick glance, it may seem like parking would be difficult if you can't find street parking. However, I was informed that there is a public parking lot nearby which is extremely convenient. We ordered one savory Napolitaine (ham and cheese) and one sweet butter and sugar crêpe. The prices are very reasonable, especially given high inflation. Service was prompt, friendly, and relatively fast once he got past the slow ordering family in front of us. It was a one-person show when we visited, and a family of four ahead of us took about 10 minutes to decide on their order with multiple changes.
