We were looking for a nice diner for a good breakfast to have before our drive home. I had a black coffee, which was more money than a Starbucks Venti, and lower quality than the corner gas station. A simple ham and cheese omelette, which was very good, ended up being double that of the French cafe we ate at in Boston a week before. I don't mind paying for an upscale meal; however, a diner should be affordable, especially for coffee. So I was a little disappointed in that.

Pretty good diner, nice and spacious and their breakfast was pretty good. The negative for me was I found it to be a bit on the pricey side for a diner. It was like 67 bucks for two Ham, Swiss and Mushroom Omelettes served with home fries and toast and I had a chocolate milk and my husband had a black coffee. They apparently charge extra for cheese as well as mushrooms. I've never had an omelette where I have to pay extra for cheese. lol Service was descent until after we were done eating. The waitress never came back after she asked if we wanted anything else. We had to flag her down after 15 minutes or more.

While most diners were closed this Easter Sunday, this cute diner was opened. The place looks well kept and the owner shows he cares. Very standard diner menu, I would have loved to see a "house special" on the menu. The burger was excellent, French onion soup was ok... what I really loved was the Greek salad, it was more like a Jewish style Greek salad with pieces of herring in it. Bathrooms were clean, place had a full bar and the hostess was very welcoming. I wish my waiter would have smiled a little more, but I get that it was late and he may have been tired. Will be back.

Listen, when it comes to sitting in traffic or grabbing a decent diner meal at Silver Star Diner, I will pick Silver Star hands down. I was on my way home. Stuck in bumper to bumper traffic and thought about going home hungry and frustrated or grabbing grub. I have been to this diner a couple times before. Good food. We stopped. I had a tina

Very nice staff! I was with a huge group and most of us enjoyed our food but this definitely wasn't a favorite diner of mine. I got the burger and was not pleased. But the loaded waffle fries were super good. My friends seemed to enjoy their food as well. More photos of silver star on my instagram food page vicarious.eats

Headed up to Rhode Island for a day trip and saw some signs on the highway for the diner so decided to stop in for some breakfast. Diner was pretty easy to find. The sever is nice but you can tell she clearly doesn't want to be here . I ordered a basic two egg, home fries and toast. The food was okay , definitely wouldn't come out of my way to come here . The meal wasn't to pricey but definitely double the price of what I normal pay back at home .

Came here as this is the closest diner that I can get to... Read some reviews and thought they're pretty good although the prices of food was excessively over priced but I thought, maybe it's worth it so I gave it try. Service was excellent but my food... it was like a reheated frozen dinner. The gravy on the meatloaf had a bit of sour taste and the veggies had way too much garlic and the meatloaf was loaded with fillers " bread crumbs".. the meatloaf in the nursing home where I used to work tasted way better than this. What a shame. And the dinner didn't come with a small salad or cup of soup.. and for $19?? Meh. I bet you frozen stouffers dinner for $4 taste better than this. But, I was starving and don't like to waste food so I ate as much as i can possibly handle.. nonetheless, I will never eat it here again. I understand inflation but the prices on the breakfast menu are 40% more than other diners.. really? Take your $16 to the grocery and make yourself eggs and bacon., you'll get so much more for your money. This place isn't worth it and the parking lot was empty at 11 am.. that says a lot. I hate writing reviews like this but this diner is an absolute rip off. Sorry.

"A birthday dinner that actually felt like one."…read more Sienna Ristorante gets the balance right in a way most places don't. The space immediately stands out with a clean, modern feel that still feels warm, not staged or overly polished. It sets the tone before the food even hits the table. The meal itself followed through. The complimentary bread with oil was simple but done right, soft with a good crust and a clean, flavorful dip. We shared the wild mushroom arancini, and that was the first real standout. Crispy on the outside, rich on the inside, and the sauce was the kind you keep going back to without thinking. It carried the dish. For mains, I went with the wild mushroom pizza, which came out with a well balanced crust and just enough weight from the toppings without feeling heavy. The mushrooms were the focus and they delivered. The honeynut squash ravioli leaned more delicate, slightly sweet, and felt more composed than expected in a good way. Drinks held their own too. The Old Fashioned was clean and steady, while the lychee martini added something lighter and more refreshing to the table. They close the meal with biscotti and limoncello, which already would have been enough, but we added the tiramisu and that was the right call. It rounded everything out without feeling excessive, just a clean finish to a well paced dinner. Service matched the tone of the restaurant, attentive without hovering, and the pacing of the meal felt natural from start to finish. This is the kind of place that feels intentional. Not just good food, but a full experience that actually holds together. Easy to come back to, especially for something worth celebrating.

Talk about last minute birthday decisions! So last year on my birthday I had a friend order…read moretakeout and we had it at their house. This year for my 35th, I was on my own for dinner this time around. That being said, I think I found a winner here to celebrate my 35th birthday. Say hello to Lazy Sister, located in the heart of South Norwalk where the restaurant scene comes alive! Because I was a single coming in, I was seated right away, no reservation needed. They were even kind enough to place my bag in the atrium so that I wouldn't have it in the way. I was seated at a table set for two, but it's a good thing I guess that I came on my own. First thing I notice upon coming in is that it is a very classy restaurant, not your typical dim sum joint. It's also not a big space, but that's fine by me. Honestly, this would make a great date night spot for anyone going out on a date. Funny enough, I was actually suggested this place by my friend the night I went to Jacob's Pickles. For reasons I am about to get to, I am glad I decided not to come here until a later date. So why would I say that? Well, because tonight, my order consisted of two Junmai Genshu "Little Sumo" sakes as well as the Salt & Pepper Calamari, a medium level Dry Fry Style Szechuan Chicken, and then the Fortune Cookie Soft Serve for dessert. Not only did I pay more here, but I also got more inebriated here than I did at Jacob's Pickles. But it's my birthday, so tonight it's not in my contract to care. You only live once, and I am already in like the middle of my life, so it all evens out, right? Speaking of the food, everything I ate was immaculate! The calamari was seasoned perfectly, vegetables were cooked and crisp, the spice from that Szechuan didn't overpower. It was more like a pleasant tingle, especially when mixed with water or sake. Everything was done just right. And that soft serve cooled me down in just the right way. Delicious and well worth finishing off the night! And while there were other drinks that definitely looked good, I couldn't say no to sake. That's like THE ultimate celebratory drink far as I'm concerned, and it was awesome! If you were wondering about the service, these people are quite friendly. They help you through anything you might need. While I waited a while to tell them, I did eventually tell my waitress it was birthday while I was on dessert. Cool enough, we are both Tauri! I love it when I get to talk to another Taurus! :) The bill was also why I am glad I waited for another occasion to come here. Because I decided to splurge, the affair was about $100 once tip was factored in. It was well worth it, and tonight's outing will definitely make for a fun story to tell. But 34 was a hard year. I deserve to let loose every now and then, and hopefully 35 will be a happier age. All in all, a great restaurant and well worth the money to come here.

We started off with the chili oil dumplings which were super flavorful! For entrees we got the Mongolian beef and the shrimp fried rice. Fried rice was my favorite -- didn't need any soy sauce or duck sauce bc it had enough flavor on its own. For drinks I got the lychee drink which was on the sweeter side for my personal taste. Overall, loved my experience and can't wait to go back to try more menu items.

(Visited 3/11) Ambiance [4/5]: Minimalist style design, it's nice, Theres also pretty lighting and a good amount of seating with an open bar as well. Food: Trix latte w/ whole milk (seasonal): [4/5] Tastes like a bowl of cereal from a cup. Topped with whipped cream it's really delicious! Tastes like a cup of childhood. Theres a good anount of cereal in the cup alongside the ice so it feels like you get a good amount of sips before the drink is done. Other than that it's still pretty good nonetheless. Sin-A-Bun: [5/5] This is very delicious, it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The smokiness from the bacon surprisingly compliments the cinnamon roll buns. Good concept and executed perfectly. If there were an option i'd choose that over having it on the side. Surprisingly I didn't notice it on the side on the sandwich until I was half way through. Still delicious though. Challah french toast [5/5] Tasty and sweet. You can't go wrong with french toast. I added strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella drizzle (each topping is $3 extra). It was worth the price it was delicious. It came with a side of butter which compliments the sweetness of the toast and some syrup. I didn't use much of the syrup but it was still delicious when I did decide to use it! I wouldn't order this because for delivery because its one of those things that taste so much better fresh in front of you rather than waiting to he dropped off. Service: [5/5] Fast and efficient service! The restaurant works as a team. One man sat me, The middle eastern girl with the long sleeve black shirt took my order and checked on me, and the white boy with the arm tattoos and pen between his ear checked on me at times, and cleaned my table while the girl was busy. It's great to see everyone helping each other and not letting anyone suffer. I Loved it! Overall Cafe social, is a great restaurant to stop by if you plan on going to the mall. Not only is it a 8 minute walk but you're also given a great meal and overall greater experience. I see myself coming back here if I'm ever in norwalk looking for a quick bite!
