This is by far the worst diner I've ordered from. While the pancakes and waffle were large, when they arrived to my house everything was soggy. We ordered two 3 cheese omelettes which were soupy, made with one egg and American cheese. The bacon also was soggy and very high in sodium, placed in the same container as the eggs so it was soggy bacon soup. As if the food we got wasn't bad enough, this is the first diner to not send any kind of home fries, toast etc with each breakfast order. That was $28 that we threw most of in the trash because not even the kids wanted to eat it. This wasn't a good experience. To start off we sat in the corner and there was at least 55 flies in the one area. My wife ordered the tacos and felt her tacos were extremely bland and had no flavor. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and they originally brought out their regular pancakes, I told the server and he responded "I didn't write that down" like duh, you didn't write nothing. We ate here the night we moved into LeFrak. It was on the corner, so it would do. It was a Wednesday night and only one other table. We sat ourselves. I had a burger, fries & coke float. The burger was cooked just the way I like it, the fries were hot and a little crispy. The coke float was deliciousness. The best part though was our over attentive waiter. He asked what flavor ice cream I wanted (I assumed vanilla). He checked on us multiple times, bringing napkins & soda for my husband as well as offering me more coke for my float. When it was time to leave he wished us goodnight. They were not busy and this is an isolated experience but that waiter deserved his tip for sure. I just got their delivery menu on my apt door. Great location right next Lefrak City and the 1 Lefrak office building. What you would expect from a normal diner. The service was good , food was good, and the prices are good. If you are in a rush sit at the counter instead of a table or booth. In the morning it can be pretty hectic. read more

I don't know if I'd consider this place a food court. I'd say it's more of a diner, with newspapers and drink coolers for those on the go. The place gave me a good breakfast. I got an omlette with pepperoni & cheese (yes the cheese was extra), grits (finally grits in NY), toast and coffee. Everything tasted great. I didn't feel rushed at all. This place is okay. I had the Italian omelette and it was good, I enjoyed it. The server was alright in the beginning until I finished signing the tip receipt. He snatched it as soon as I finished. He ran to get his tip money from the register and didn't thank me at all. I'm in the restaurant industry and I know what it is to work in this setting. I'm thankful for every dollar I get because at the end of the day, customers technically don't have to. He did not display good customer service skills, he just wanted his tip, which I gave him 20% like I always do. If I was someone else I wouldn't have tipped him at all because my mindset can easily go to, "this not a restaurant, this is a 'diner', I don't have to tip." I don't think that way but I could and I'm pretty sure others do think that way. Therefore, these servers should be more appreciative. read more

Ordered a burger with fries and a shake. Burger tasted good, but the bun was soggy. Sweet potato fries were just terrible, totally soggy and really had no flavor. The really disappointing part was the shake. It just didn't taste like anything. Never had a shake that tasted so bland Deliver took 40 minutes, which on a rainy Saturday night is good. I got a menu delivered to my door and decided to try this place. My first few order were for sandwiches, The Silver Spoon Cuban and Pastrami and cheese. Both times the food was extremely greasy, but the delivery was prompt and on point, a half hour means a half hour. Then one night I came home late from work, no food in the house, and nothing open late in Rego Park, except for the Silver Spoon. I tried the Double Cheese Burger Deluxe with an order of Cole Slaw. WOW.....what a difference the food is when it comes of the grill. The burgers were absolutely perfect and had a nice grill taste to it, the fries were perfectly crunchy, not soggy, and the Cole slaw was amazing, real old school cole slaw. The delivery and the burgers are what makes this place. I will be amending this review once I get a chance to try breakfast. read more

I ordered corned beef hash with potatoes with over easy eggs and grits. I can't even describe to you how bad it was. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews,if I don't like something I just won't order there again. The corned beef hash looked and tasted like dog food (I've never tasted dog food before but if I'm imagining that's what it would taste like). I could literally put the corned beef hash next to some wet dog food and you wouldn't be able to tell which was which. The grits literally looked like steamed white rice with a unmelted slice of American yellow cheese on top. I had to put it in a bowl with milk and butter to make it as edible as possible. The eggs were basically over extra hard when I ordered over easy eggs. THEN I called the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. I just wanted a refund and I wanted to tell him how displeased I was with the food. He then replied and told me "well I've never heard of anyone not liking our food. You have a problem with everything." I don't really think I should be penalized because I have a problem with mushy corned beef hash and over cooked eggs and sticky dry grits. read more

I used Ubereats to order waffles and turkey bacon. When my food came it was a plate of half eaten pancakes fork still in the pancake and not even a lid. I called the restaurant and they were surprised and told me to order again and it would be fixed. When my food came the second time, they sent me a soggy cold waffle and no bacon. If you want to get scammed eat here. They're menu advertises coffee/hot choc included with the meal (beakfast), until you ask for it! And once you ask for it they're rude and obnoxious about it, they will make you think you can't read properly. When clearly the menu says it nice and clear. Then when asking for a manager, they refuse to bring a manager out. They then decide to put a different advertisement outside saying 90 cent coffee while at the same exact time the menu inside reads, included. Good luck to anyone who thinks this business is fair. I seriously have nothing bad to say about this place. Upon first glance, it looks food court-ish and doesn't look like it has any sort of ambiance whatsoever. Then, as I walked past the cash register, I saw lots of booths, and a long counter with padded swivel stools. Oh, yeah, now we're talking! Service was great. And the menu? Truly impressive with fantastic prices. My omelet was SOOO good -- and they even had weird options like pepperoni! Go for it! I also really liked that you pay at the counter. I didn't feel rushed-- and could have sat there with my unlimited coffee all day. They charge you 75 cents if you pay with a credit card for an order that's less than 20 bucks. But honestly, I'd rather they do that then tell me that I have to pay in cash! This is a place that definitely has regulars, and as I'm moving to the area, I'm looking forward to being one of those regulars. They say, though, that a diner's true test is how good their burgers are. That's what I'm getting next time, and I'll adjust my review accordingly. read more

Recently I just ate at this diner with friends to catch-up. The food was ok. The service was completely horrible. I was unsure who our server was for the longest time. No-one really understood English. Was charged for a refill of pink lemonade. That was not even homemade. It was Hi-C lemonade from the soda machine. Literally, everyone looked so grumpy it just was not pleasant at all. Honestly just wanted to pay and had to wait for about fifteen mins until finding out we were supposed go to the cashier. Which we were not notified of just like the refill. Pretty terrible. Upgrade staff and put some smiles. Honestly, they must've had a no smile policy. This is one of your typical NYC places where they serve Greek, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, etc... all in one place. It's like a cafeteria and is always busy. I like to go here for spinach pie, it's really yummy and full of garlic, onions and the perfect amount of feta. The crust is always flaky and crisp too! I can't say I've anything else there, I just don't remember, but the spinach pie is enough to keep me going back. The prices aren't to bad and there is ample seating. They seem kind of particular about where you sit though. If your ordering takeout, and decide to eat there, you have to sit in a specific spot so as not to confuse the waiters that offer table service. It's a bit rigid in that way. read more

The seats and tables are old and the way they are placed makes it look crowded. The food is extremely awful and really expensive. The cook never gets your order right. I have ordered the pizza from here before. It has been fine not great but fine. Tonight, the pizza was delivered with cheese missing from half the pizza. All the cheese was congealed in the middle. Either they did not leave in the oven enough or the delivery man dropped it on the way here. In either case it doesn't matter because I will never set foot in here or order from here again.
