It's a diner. Thats a good start. Their food was good. Good eggs. Great sausage. Fantastic bacon. Great potatoes. Overall a really good breakfast in the airport. read more

Excellent spot at BWI - all day breakfast & it's really good. Fantastic service. Old school Jukebox at every table. Farmer skillet wAs awesome. read more

Average. Nothing different from what you would get if you went to Denny's or any other diner. But they are the only ones at BWI and great for breakfast if you want to take an early flight. Your other options is McDonalds and fast food. They serve more than breakfast, such as burgers and salads and shakes. Decor is 1950s with music from the fifties and sixties playing but you have to pay for it with quarter machine. read more

Silver Diner - Inside the diner - Diners Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

I know I shouldn't have done it. But I did. I went to the Silver Diner at BWI. The menu cover has a very serious and professional looking chef on it....Ype. He says they have a Flexitarian menu. They should add quality. If I was Ype I would rush to have my name and face removed. Everytime I come here I am disappointed. Either the service or the food is sloppy. This morning lived up to that tradition. I know I shouldn't have done it. But I did. I ordered the oatmeal and was delivered a steaming bowl of paste. The oatmeal at Hampton Inn is better. The service was friendly but confused. The woman next to me had to ask for her English muffin which was chilling on the shelf between the servers and the kitchen. So why do I come back to this place? The same question can be asked of people who continue to date abusers. Only a psychiatrist can tell. read more

I've eaten at the Silver Diner twice while traveling through BWI and I was pleasantly surprised. The food is typical diner fare, but very fresh, and much better quality than I'm used to getting in airports. The service was excellent both times and I would not hesitate to go back again. read more

I was helped by a lovely girl by the name of Victoria. She had a great personality and was on the ball with her service.

What a great surprise at BWI! The Silver Diner looks like a large Johnny Rockets, but that is where the similarity ends. The Silver Diner has their own organic ketchup. Their fries are crisp; they offer ground beef and organic ground bison burgers. My wife had short rib sliders that were tasty. The crew working here is pleasant and attentive. A good selection of beers on tap and very reasonable prices for an airport. I may have to change planes at BWI more often. I may have the organic bison meatloaf next time. Lots of healthy (and unhealthy) options here. Plenty of seating. Gluten free options clearly labeled, a great place to eat. I would eat here even if it were not in an airport. read more

My eatery of choice when waiting for flights at BWI. Good diner food, fairly decent service albeit slow for an airport in my opinion. I always walk up to the bar though as the seating line is usually long and annoying as it doesn't seem well attended to. Pricing is airport; 2 drinks and dinner you'd better plan $40.00 per person read more

My wife and I walked into this place just to simply order a milkshake and turn out it was the worst milkshake we have ever tasted and the worst calorie waste as well. The ladies behind the counter were arguing about their job and how to make a simple milkshake they didn't even have lids for their "to go" cups. The picture will show the cup, I have a couple of sips and throw away the shake as it tastes like a bunch of nonsense. I would not recommend the service or the shakes! read more

Silver Diner - The worst shake ever, and the service was not good at all. It was a "to go" milkshake and I couldn't even get a lid - Diners Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Ordered fish tacos. Waited...waited...waited. Asked when they would be there and was told they would be right there. Waited..waited. Manager came up and told me they were out of the fish tacos. This was 35 minutes after I ordered. No offer for me to order something else for feee. Just "we are out of fish tacos." I would give zero stars if I could read more

Food and staff was awesome. I went to silver diner on Saturday and had a wonderful experience. The waitress did an excellent job catering to my many cuisine demands and substitutions. read more

Very dirty. Poor quality and overpriced for what it is. They don't have prices listed on their drink menu. Check out the pics. The wait staff just piled multiple tables of dishes on a few tables to clear tables. The busing staff never came. read more

Service was average. Food was overhyped but good for an airport. Prices weren't unreasonable either. Whole place smelled like urine though.

I paid a visit to BWI silver diner recently traveling for the labor day holiday and my wife and I absolutely enjoyed Erica the bartender customer service. she's a very warm spirited young lady and you don't meet people like her in the hospitality industry everyday. The conversation was pleasurable and she makes delicious drinks. My wife and I would come back to visit her anytime. Great menu choice for the Diner Avocado toast was Delicious!! read more

I was very disappointed with our experience. There was a dead fly serviced to me in my beer and here was a fowl stale beer smell coming from behind the bar. I ordered the chicken piccata, with mashed potatoes and veggies. The veggies tasted freezer burnt and if the mashed potatoes didn't come out of a box than the cook need to be fired because it taste like cardboard. When the waitress approached us to ask if we were ready for our check, she walked up chewing on a mouthful of food from behind the counter! It was just horrible from start to finish. read more

They have incredible vegan options!! I'm at this airport often and looking forward to eating here now all the time because the have great vegan options. I just wish I knew sooner. My new favorite food spot at BWI! read more

Okay. It is 2pm. We got off the plane and stood in line a line waiting to be seating. We're seated and asked about what we want to drink. Kids all said milk shakes since when you enter there is a big sign featuring milk shakes. Sorry, the waitperson says, we don't do milk shakes until after 4pm. The milk shake person comes in then. Really! A special person is the only person who can make shakes. Especially when 4 employees are just standing around talking with one another. I worked in a diner many years ago. Let's see if I can remember. Put some ice cream in a container, add some milk, maybe some flavor and then put the container in a mixer and what do you get? A milk shake! It isn't hard work. Now we have upset children who will, I think, remember their disappointment every time we go through bwi. You can do better. Either remove the big sign celebrating shakes or train one of those people standing around to make them during lunch times. read more

Sat at the bar and was greeted coming in. Everyone on staff is really nice. I ordered the Baja fish tacos, citrus salad, and a green tea (alcoholic beverage). It could've had a little more liquor to taste. These are some of the best tacos I've ever had! I will be back when I come through BWI again. read more

Sooooo I have been to the Silver Diner at another location (Rockville) and was expecting good food at the airport as well. Not so much. Came in for breakfast before my flight, worst coffee ever! How are you a diner with bad coffee?! Ordered the western omelette which was just okay. Best thing of my meal was the biscuit on my plate. read more

This place definitely exceeded expectations. Wasn't expecting anything super for an airport diner, but the breakfast was to die for. My husband and I both got the huevos rancheros. Ahhhhhmazing. We sat right in front of the kitchen and I didn't see one thing come out that didn't look delicious. Our server, Rie, was kind and attentive even while running around during breakfast rush taking care of 100 other things. Will definitely stop back the next time we come through. read more

This place is horrible The service is terrible and the food is lousy Not a single person had any urgency in doing their job The only reason people go is because of its location read more

Giving it an airport four stars with the caveat that the expectations are a lot lower. The Baja fish tacos or solid quality and in the salad with strawberries and mango was actually very nice. read more

It's your typical stop to get decent airport food. I prefer it to the fast food joints at BWI Airport.

We had the Thai Chicken Salad and the Tarragon Chicken Salad Sandwich. Both of these dishes were excellent. The citrus side salad was excellent, in particular. I was very happy to find it was much better than the fries! read more

Air travel is so miserable. Restaurants like this don't help. My chicken sausage was undercooked/pink so I did not eat it. My egg whites were overdone. My toast was overdone. The coffee was meh. My stool was wobbly. Just about everything sucked but at least the servers were pleasant. All in all, nearly 20 bucks wasted on a shit breakfast. read more

Food isn't bad.....typical diner food. Service / that's another story! Waiting almost 15 minutes after seated to get service - another 10 minutes to get a drink. Now I'm at the 15 minute mark on waiting for someone to take my check and payment but the server is no where to be found. read more

I recommend the summer citrus salad. Very good and it was filling. Mangos and strawberries on a salad always make me smile. Great customer service. I will come here again next time I'm at the Baltimiore Airport. They also offer crab cakes and other American style fast foods and vegetarian chilli. read more

Best airport sit down place I've ever been to. I feel like I'm in the 60's here.

Sat down here to eat on my layover trip back from NY. Ordered the baja fish tacos which were pretty good. It came with a side of citrus/summer salad which wasn't too bad either. So I had a seat at the high top bar but the smell coming from that area was pretty bad. I guess they didn't have time to wash the beer glasses because they just sat there next to the bar and smell of warm/stale beer followed me throughout my whole meal. read more

I like the locally sourced menu. I had the crab cake sandwich with fries and coleslaw and I splurged on the blueberry yogurt shake. Everything was delicious. read more

This restaurant boasts working with local farmers for fresh produce and "farm to table ingredients". I ordered a sandwich that included tomatoes. The tomatoes weren't ripe, and the French fries which came as a side were limp and cold. Fresh ingredients? read more

Stopped in while waiting for a connecting flight. Had some coffee and tried their apple pie ala mode... not too bad! Pie was warm and tasty and the ice cream was very cold do it didn't melt all over the plate so there was solid ice cream up to the last bite of pie. Outlets at each table so I was able to charge my phone. read more

(4/30/2017) Was waiting for a Southwest flight on Pier A, which seems to be one of the less developed piers at BWI. Plenty of fast food options in the food court but the ersatz Silver Diner really the only option for sit down or a drink while waiting to join the cattle call. Really liked the fresher options on the classic diner menu. Am familiar with many of the farms they have listed on their menu. Got the Firefly Farms Goat Cheese Bruschetta,, was a pile of snowy white, moist, and mildly tangy chevre and a heaping serving of diced winter tomatoes (not from around these parts, it's April in Maryland, yes, we have no tomatoes) with basil pesto and kind of way too much reduced balsamic (was a little drowned). I did enjoy all of the flavors together, and they did not skimp on the bread. I love the recent Brussels trend, got the Crispy Fried Brussels Sprouts, described as cinnamon chipotle seasoned, with dried apricots and cranberries, pecans (nut oils a touch old and beginning to turn), and southwest ranch (superfluous). Some of the sprouts cooked unevenly, some bright green and crunchy raw, some fried to a deep, dark, burnished crispness (love that part). I was well taken care of at the bar, food came at a reasonable pace, prices were fine, even for an airport bar (a double was $11). There really wasn't too much diner-ish about the place except for the neon pink decor and a few familiar blue plate specials, but that didn't seem to be why people were stopping in (a couple of other diners got a Chicken Caesar Salad, Turkey Chili, and Huevos Rancheros) and most people really seemed to just need a little respite from the weariness of travel. It was pretty open and welcoming when I was there. read more

Boo! Still closed due to renovation. Re-opening coming soon in September 2012. Looking forward to a home cooked meal during a layover!

Hands down some of the best airport food I've ever had. Everything was fresh and delicious. I had the southwest turkey sandwich which was awesome. Fresh cut turkey, avacado and fresh cibitta bread. The coleslaw was great also. I was very happy with my meal and the service was very good also. read more

I gave this restaurant a second chance. Was seated, and waited 15 minutes with no server showing up. Walked out and as I was walking out, all of the servers were at the hostess counter messing with their phones and talking with each other. This place has no oversight. Poorly run. Too bad the service was even worse than the first time. I will not be going back. read more

They were suppose to open at 5am, but didn't until 510am. They should know that people have flights to catch and be more punctual. They severs all acted like they didn't care if we got served or not. Do they even have someone there to manage the employees? read more
