Located in Terminal B at BWI, been here a couple of times and has been some time since I visited their location in VA. Didn't realize they had breakfast sandwiches and got one to go before a flight. Got the Egg, cheese, bacon on Brioche and it hit the spot. Made to order and reasonably priced. On a return trip, ordered a triple D burger. Bacon, egg , cheese and tasty beef grilled over an open flame made for a legit burger. In addition to their fresh fries, they have Tater Tots. Also have Veggie (Beyond Meat), Chicken and Turkey Burger options. Service is fast and friendly but plan accordingly if they get busy. Overall, solid Burger and Breakfast Sandwich. read more

Thanks for nothing. I wish I had timed the amount of time the gentleman at the counter took to take the order in front of me. It should have been a sign. 25 minutes should have been plenty of time if an impossible burger, considering they cook 3.5-4 minutes per side? After 15 minutes I flagged the woman down and was told "a few more minutes". Then two more orders after mine came out? I flagged someone down again and was told beyond burgers take longer? Are they serving the burgers still mooing or what? I left...12.19 poorer but a bit more enlightened about where NOT to eat in BVI. read more

Had about a 3 hour layaway to get on my next flight and needed some food and had time to waste. Got a cheeseburger with onions and lettuce and Swiss cheese. Came out tasting great cooked perfect and hit the spot. Their was a line as far as ordering and getting food but nothing major. But if u have to catch a flight sooner than 20 minutes may wanna find something else Overall I enjoyed it and have no complaints read more

Airport food is generally bad, and my experience at BGR is no exception to this general rule of thumb. I settled on The Burger Joint because it was in my terminal and the line was shorter compared to other fast-food options. I ordered a Beyond Burger and side of tots and the cashier was refreshingly nice. She informed me my burger would take around 10 minutes. Totally fine. But when my burger came out it was cold and didn't look 100% cooked. Oh well, it's not beef so it's not like I'm going to get sick by eating this pink, cold patty. Luckily, the tots were warm so I ate most of those. Sure, I could've complained and asked for a new burger, but I chose to silently suffer instead. Based on the reviews here, I'm not the only one who gets their food served cold. Beware! YELP'S 2020 REVIEW CHALLENGE: #8 read more

I looked everywhere for coffee at 5:45 AM! Who knew I'd end up at a burger joint so early ordering breakfast!?!?! The coffee was great and the bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich was delicious! On a traditional hamburger bun, the fried egg and salty bacon hit the spot! Great service, too! read more

The worst service I've ever had. I stood in front of the window to order and the three girls sat and just talked to each other. Each of them even looked at me but just kept having their conversation. i almost walked away when she asked me if I was ready. She was very rude. Then it took forever to get my food. The only upside was the person who gave me my food (the cook) was actually nice. Never again! read more

We had a stop over so I went looking for something to eat and happened upon this chain restaurant. There were a few customers milling around while waiting for their food so I stepped up and ordered medium rare hamburgers with blue cheese at the counter. The food was cooked to order, but make sure you have lots of time because it took forever for the man staffing the grill to complete my order. I seriously thought I was going to miss my connection. The burger ended up being good, but way overcooked with American cheese rather my desired blue cheese. read more

Packaging was good, and it looked good, but the burger (meat) was old and cold! Fries were also terrible (who messes up fries). Thos place needs to spend time on assuring their food is fresh! read more

I got the sweet potato fries and they were solid. Freshly made so they were hot and crispy- I saw them put them in the fryer right after I ordered. Much better than most airport food for sure. Staff was friendly too. The only downside about made to order fries is that you do have to wait a little bit, which could be an issue in the airport. My wait wasn't too long though, only 4-5 minutes. read more

I have ten minutes ti grab a quick bite in the airport and approached the Burger Joint. For airport food, it was great. I was able to get a burger over a fresh salad and it was incredibly well priced. But, I really appreciated the staff. The girl who greeted us ( receipt says Saquetta) knew the menu down pat! Every order you gave she followed up with all the important questions, listing out all the cheeses, the toppings, the dressings, etc. Also, the staff cooking the burger was so nice! He called my number and gave me my order and asked if I needed dressing. They worked great together and provided a non stressful expierence to a stressful, which the now the norm, day of flying. Post pandemic I like to take any opportunity I can to highlight employees doing it right! The burger was great too! read more

I had know idea that this breakfast was going to be so good. I had an hour layover so I decided to try this place. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with steak. It was very very good. I will always eat when I'm flying thru. The photo that I uploaded does not do this sandwich justice. I'm going to have to get another one just to take a better photo. read more

My favorite fast food option in BWI. The staff here are always friendly and their burgers are amazing! They're cooked to order, grilled over an open flame. Because of this, do expect to wait for a few minutes. They also offer other sandwiches like a salmon BLT, ahi tuna, chicken, veggie, etc. Their tater tots are really good too! They even have breakfast here, pre-made desserts, and beer! Affordable prices, great service, and great food- it's a win win win! read more

One star simply because there was only 1 person working and they are scheduled to close at 8PM but she proceeded to have many of us stand in line while she cooked orders then announced at 7:15 "I'm closed ya'll". We could have easily left sooner to make it to get food from another place before our flights. Very unprofessional and tacky. read more

I never thought I'd find myself uttering the words "I wish I went to Subway." And yet―I actually did. Looking for a quick bite before my flight I figured this would be the place. There was no line but if I had looked a bit to my left I would've noticed a large queue of patrons waiting for their chow. The service was brusque but friendly as I ordered a hamburger w/ avocado and tater tots. As I waited for my food I observed the staff and watched a minor kerfuffle ensue between employees. The fry cooks were completely inept as the concept of timing was beyond their skill set. After an agonizing twenty minute wait I finally received my order. The tots were cold and greasy and the burger contained nothing but a bun and the aforementioned avocado; I guess if you don't ask for other toppings you don't getting shit. The burger was the shape, size and consistency of a hockey puck as it dripped black grease from being charred to death on their flame grill. I managed to wolf down half of the tots and burger before I threw out the rest in disgust. Total waste of $17 I really should've just went to Subway. =( read more

Bottom Line: Good Burger with surprising side options. Contrary to a lot of the other Tips - my Server/Employee was great. I went in today and ordered a Cheeseburger. The guy taking my order was super helpful, super patient and super friendly! I asked for no bun and he suggested the lettuce wrap. They give you a ton of lettuce. There is no bun to sop up the grease so it is a little messy but they wrap it really well in the paper so the mess was minimized. The Burger was juicy, which to me was a good thing ;-) I got a side of Grilled Asparagus. I had asked the server if it was good and he assured me it was. He was right!! It was delicious. As good or better than many restaurants I've had it at. It's not cheap but it's also not expensive - especially for an airport. Bottom Line: I will def be back to get the Grilled Asparagus and try some of the other Burger Combos (I especially want to try the grilled jalapeños and an egg on top ;-) read more

It took about twenty minutes for them to serve what was probably the worst chicken I've ever had--overcooked like a rubber tire with wilted toppings. The employees also seem to actively avoid serving more customers; it took everyone in line forever to get their food. Definitely skip. I threw up when I got back home. read more

Good food and great burger! I love BGR The Burger Joint near my home so decided to have one before getting on my flight. No complaints about the food. Prices higher than normal because of being in the airport, but not much can be done about that. Order taker was completely unattentive at 12:30 pm and even though it isn't busy, that should never happen. It was ok, and wasn't busy and my food was cooked quickly and I wasn't running late. But, what if I had been and she cost me time to make my flight. Anyway, I would recommend a visit solely on the quality of the food they serve. Totally worthwhile and delicious. read more

Been to several BGR locations in the past, but this one was the exceptionally bad. Untrained staff at the front counter. Burger was fine but vanilla shake took 20 minutes after crewmember sprayed down a co-worker with part of my shake. Added so much milk it ended up tasting worse than a Wendy's Frosty. Ended up tossing the shake. read more

Looks like it should be good! Has the beyond burger and other types of sandwiches such as ahi tuna BUT no. My burger that was suppose to be medium was well done. Little burnt. On top of that the cashier said it would take 10 mins (apparently to burn my already cooked burger). And the attitude. Don't get me started. Skip this one read more

I just wanted some fries. I figured it's fast food. It's in an airport. Fries would be quick. But no. Took forever. I guess I should be happy that my fries were made fresh. But they didn't even start to fry my fries until about 3/4 minutes after I ordered. read more

Had a Wagyu burger with pepper jack, bacon, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and BBQ sauce. I ordered it medium, and it was cooked perfectly. (3.25) ~ pretty good overall food & service. Notes: Burgers take 10 minutes to cook and are (6) ounce patties. MENU: * Cheeseburger(medium) = (3.5) good, with American Cheese, Mustard, Onion, Tomato and Avocado. * French Fries = (3) ok ***They do have Shakes though:) read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for an early evening snack. It was too early for dinner but we weren't arriving at our destination until after we would be hungry and so we decided to give BGR a try. This location is in a food court like area in the B terminal. As such there is a restaurant front and not much else to speak of. The menu does state that the burgers are cooked "over an open flame" which I could indeed see in their kitchen. My wife and I decided to split "the burger" and doubled it for a second meat patty both medium well with lettuce, tomato, pickle and pepper jack cheese. Then for our side we went with sweet potato fries all for a cost of about $15 ($3 less without the second patty.). Ouch! They do have a captive audience though and the burgers are cooked to order. While good for quality this is bad for an airport as our burger and fries ended up taking ~15 minutes with us being the only person in line and no one waiting. Thankfully we weren't in a hurry so it didn't end up mattering. Whenever the food was ready it was handed over to us in an inauspicious brown paper bag. Partly due to that and combined with the fact that it was in a food court at the airport, I wasn't really expecting much from it. So I was pleasantly surprised by my first bite into the burger. It was seasoned nicely and was juicy despite being well done. It also had that char broiled flavor to it which I loved. Overall it was a solid burger, especially for food court airport food. The fries were similarly pretty good with a nice crispy exterior and a soft chewy interior. The only thing where I thought they were lacking was in seasoning which I could have easily added myself. The bottom line for me is that I would probably stop by here again in the future. While I wasn't that big of a fan of the price or wait, it was cooked to order and tasted pretty good for being in an airport food court. read more

I have to start by saying that the prices aren't "airport terminal prices." They're pretty much the same as out in town so you don't have to feel like so ripped off and dumb about not bringing food with you through the security checkpoint! That said, if you're feeling a breakfast sandwich or a burger while you wait to fly, BGR is not a bad choice! Service is fine and the food is as expected (won't be the best sandwich of your life, but will satisfy!). They also sell coffee here if you don't want to wait in line at a caffeine specialty joint. Don't hesitate if you're really not sure which airport restaurant to grab food at! read more

Ok... I don't give many places 1 stars, but for the price ($18) I would move on and go to the sushi place next door called gachi (about $9), subway, or villa italian kitchen. The burger was adequate. We got the Wellington and apparently they're known for this burger and advertise about their quality. Well the quality of the meat didn't taste as amazing as they say. We also got sweet potato fries which didn't come with any ketchup or condiments (probably charge extra) and were very bland. Justin and I have had way more amazing burgers for half the price at sit down places. (This place is just a pick-up to-go fast food place.) read more

I wouldn't normally write a review for airport faire, but...after waiting 40 minutes when being told it would only take 10...blamed for "not listening" when they handed my order to someone else (they were simply handing bags out willy nilly versus calling out numbers)...finally having my bland food thrown at me...warranted one. read more

Was pretty disappointed because they have a lettuce wrap on the menu, and I ordered a lettuce wrap, but they gave me a burger with a bun and no lettuce and I didn't find out until my plane was boarding. The food seems high grade, but if you are making a special order I would recommend taking extra time to make sure they know what you want, because there may not be time to fix it later. read more

This is the meaning of hidden gem. As long as you have time to spare before your plane leaves I strongly recommend stopping by. The portions are a decent size and made to order. My grandma loved her cheeseburger and I loved my turkey burger. We both enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Some orders may take 10-15 minutes but it's worth the wait. There's also tables and a window to look out on the runway. read more

Terrible. Avoid at all costs. Employees arguining at the grill. Guy at the register doesn't acknowledge customers waiting in line for over 10 minutes. Took 18 minutes to make a burger. That's almost a 30 minute experience without even eating the overcooked food. Onion rings were okay. read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. Tried to talk us out of the order. Apparently did not want to actually do any work. Could not eat the burger as it was so disgusting. The cooked yelled to the rude cashier what's the problem. She responded nothing you did. A refund was issued. The rock album covers caught my eye. The menu kept me from walking by. I wish I used this airport more so I could try the other burgers and sides. But if I could only have one, I think I made the right choice...mushroom burger. I ordered it med rare and didn't open it until I was 20-25 min into the flight. It was still warm (but not medium rare anymore). Very good, wish I'd had time to eat it fresh. The bun was even tasty. Honestly, I wasn't even that hungry but with a 5.5hr flight I knew I had to grab something...yum! read more

I didn't have a burger, but I did try their chicken salad and had an order of the fries! Chicken salad: Crunchy and tasted fresh! The chicken was grilled and had good flavor! I've had breakfast and lunch (burger) when at BWI and the food is fantastic, the service is super friendly and the portions are great. Most important are the employees; they are so gracious and friendly. Good food but poor service and long wait times. My burger was thick and flavorful with a nice bun to meat ratio. Milkshake was expensive but uses actual ice cream so the taste and texture were awesome. Burger took about 10 minutes to come out after a 10 minute wait to order. They had one woman on the registers which clearly wasn't enough, and her attitude betrayed her frustration. When I ordered my shake I got a long sigh and eye roll combo free of charge. It was OK. Service was fine cashier told me it would take 10 mins for a veggie burger, which I appreciated the heads up. My burger was cold and my sweet potato fries were hot. The fries were fine and standard. The flavor of the veggie burger was a little bland and dry. I had it topped with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and grilled onions. The topics were fine but the grilled onions were cold. It was such a shame that it was cold, but unsure how much it would've enhanced the so so veggie burger. I didn't try a shake and glad I refrained because it may have been a bust too. Wish I could give 2.5 stars but I'll give 3. read more
