I see people still waiting for food, and cooks still at it, so I ask what time they close and am answered 10pm... I show him my phone showing 9:45 and am met with a shrug. Walking back by, I see the people that were waiting for their food being served and confront the guy, who insists that they had their food all along. A bald faced lie. If that's their idea of quality service, I highly suggest skipping this chain all together. read more

I am so mad I have never tried this before! Located at the BWI, I came here and ordered the standard burger with everything and it was so delicious! The staff there could be a little bit more attentive, and they mislabeled by burger but they fixed and apologized for their mistake. My husband got the turkey burger and he said it was good as well. The meat was exactly the way I like, and the condiments were perfectly placed on the burger. I was very impressed with the quality and tastiness of the burger. The sliders were decent and I should not have ordered fries as I could have easily fed just about everyone in the food court with how many they gave me. I'm usually pretty skeptical about buying food in the airport. Subpar food for fine dining prices is never usually my cup of tea. But today, I was starving. I stopped at this place and was instantly greeted by a very nice man, I believe his name was Davonte (looking at the receipt). He was very personable with a great personality for customer service. I paid $12.58 for a 6oz burger w/ cheese and grilled jalapeños and fries which isn't bad at all for airport food. I waited about 10 mins for my food. Definitely glad I stopped here. Burger tasted like a homemade burger at a family cookout. Not to mention, the jalapeños were actually a while jalapeño pepper, not that cut up not spicy stuff you get sometimes. Got the "Wellington" - flame grilled burger, cooked to order (medium rare) with mushrooms, black truffles, and bleu cheese crumbles. The patty was juicy with a crispy sear on the outside. The only thing a little lacking was a pretty cheap bun... but for pete's sake it's $6-9 burger in an AIRPORT. If you're in BWI, GO EAT THIS RITE NAO. I'm tempted to bring one back to LA for my wife so someone can attest that I'm not crazy. Ignore the low score -- so many one star reviews because it's take a while. I waited in line to place my order (burger with mushroom topping and fries) then waited about 10 minutes to get my food. I opened my foil-wrapped burger to realize the (kinda pricey) mushroom + caramelized onion + black truffle topping I had selected was missing. Understandable, there are 5 topping options and it was a busy day. No big deal, mistakes happen. Still in good spirits I returned to the counter and asked them to add the toppings. They apologized and whisked the offending burger away. About 5 minutes later my burger was returned to me, nestled back in its toasty foil wrapping. About 20 minutes had passed at this point so I had to board my flight, as you do at the airport. Imagine my disappointment in opening my hard-sought treasure to discover that it was STILL lacking the special topping. If this burger had been exemplary I may have been mollified, but it wasn't. I like the idea here - burgers made to order, some neat toppings, fresh cut fries. It's a good alternative to a LOT of airport food. I tried the Southwestern burger, and the texture of the patty was a bit...odd. The patty was blended with black beans, spices, and peppers, but the texture was almost like a sloppy joe formed into a burger shape. The mango salsa, I admit, was pretty good, and I liked the fresh fries with some rosemary on them. If I'm at "B" terminal again around dinner, I'd probably grab a bite here. read more

Worst burger I've ever had. I'll go to McDonalds instead when at BWI. I ordered a Southwest burger done medium. I ended up with a burger raw in the middle with a thick layer of charcoal on the outside. If I made any mistake, it was eating just before the lunch hour. I don't think the two cooks knew what they were doing, and I'm not sure they did anything but goof-off. Ten minutes after I ordered is when another, or should I say the Real, cook arrived. Suddenly orders before mine, that I didn't even know we're waiting, we're filled, including the poor guy after me who ordered just fries. I'll also add that the lack of operational efficiency was not due to the lack of management, just the lack of good management, as the whole time there were three management types busy counting, their books and papers spread out on the counter. I grabbed the Wellington burger here and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. The patty was clearly fresh, of high quality, and loaded with blue cheese and mushrooms. Per the descriptions, the Wellington Burger sounded very promising, but it ended up being completely underwhelming. You couldn't really taste the truffle, the blue cheese detracted from the overall flavor (ended up scraping it off with a knife), and I feel like there was maybe 1 string of caramelized onion...if at all. What can I say? Their veggie burger is dope. As far as I can tell, there is no soy -- it's just black beans, oats, rice and some other stuff with molasses. Very good. The patty itself almost reminds me a little bit of barbecue baked beans a bit, but put it on a bun with their house sauce and other toppings? Tastes awesome and a big burger. Their fries are also very good and the portion of fries is huge. I got a chocolate shake once and it wasn't bad. I have no comment on their meat burgers, but I know my friends like them. They have a really good selection of unique burgers -- less so at the airport location, but still a good variety. The one in Dupont in Washington DC has a very extensive menu. BWI has really stepped their food game up. If you're waiting in the B terminal, I'd eat here. Heck, if you have extra time, I'd walk over to the B terminal and eat here. Based off a single experience, I found the burger to be pretty solid. The burger has a gourmet price, but that's to be expected for better than average airport food. There are a couple red flag reviews, that if I had read, I would have not given the place a second chance. But we were hungry, and we wanted burgers, and we deplaned across from the burger joint. Very fortuitous. The service was quick, friends of the employees were not around for them to chat with. I did not see those manning the grill and the food on their phones, drinking, or touching dirty things with their gloves on. You can see right into the kitchen, so I would encourage you to do so next time to keep an eye on your food if you'd like. I received my food quickly and was on my way. After many layovers at different airports, I almost never expect airport food to be good. This burger surprised me so much, I had to check in and leave a review! Be forewarned that there is a wait trying to get food from here. However, my cashier did tell me that it would be 10 minutes before I get my food. I got a burger with American cheese and the works. The burger was juicy with a really nice smoky char. At $9, I can't even complain because it was a delicious, filling lunch. If I'm every back in Baltimore, I would definitely stop by again. I had a cheeseburger at BGR while I was on a layover in BWI Terminal B and it wasn't bad. If this restaurant wasn't in the airport I'd give it three stars, but I've been to so many miserable restaurants in airports that I was pleasantly surprised. The burger tasted reasonably good, the cheddar cheese wasn't a good enough cheddar to be worth the extra money, and the bun didn't seem to be as fresh as I would have liked. I left half of the bun but ate the rest. The other reviewers are right, this might not be a good place to stop if you're in a hurry because it took about 15 minutes for me to get my burger. And they don't tell you that it will take time before you order, so I can see where this might make for some tense moments. read more

I received a charBURNED rock hard burger thin meat patty with one single soggy (translucent), dark green end piece leaf of lettuce and soggy fries. I threw out the meal when I got home. Absolutely terrible. Had I stayed to dine, I would have returned the meal. What I received was barely even McDonald's quality, which as we all know is Blah! I really want to give to restaurant a higher score because the food is good and with ALOT of interaction you can get the cashiers to smile. The service is rather slow - and the cashiers and cooks provide no indication whether they care if flight is boarding in five minutes or five hours. To me, customer service is important and when you pay $13.00 for meal you should at least receive a "hello" or "thank you". I would assume that business is good here - but with a little coaching on kindness and hospitality - BGR - the Burger Joint could take off with a five star rating. As far as airport food goes this was an alright stop. The options are all there from various sides to a multitude of toppings for whichever burger you choose. I had a turkey burger which was of considerable size and satiated me but didn't really accomplish much more than that. The patties were a little dry and offered nothing memorable. The rest of the garnishes were fresh though which can quite often be questionable in these situations. I will share what I like and dislike about this restaurant. I recommend the combo egg sandwich, tater tot meal. Note the picture displayed bacon. I asked if bacon was included, the checkout clerk told me it was not. I looked at two photographs and asked isn't that deceptive advertising to show that like an offer of what the customer is going to be offered for the price. The quality of the food is fine but the deceptive advertising practice requires me to take this down a star--it is simply wrong to show bacon on a combo then say it costs extra. read more

I ordered the breakfast "Box Set" for $8 which includes a "breakfast sandwich" but, apparently a meat selection is not part of the breakfast sandwich. I ordered the "steak" version which cost me $2 more. Fine. But the reason that I put the word "steak" in quotes is because that's what the menu calls it. In reality, it's a hamburger. The service was very slow (my friend in front of me ordered first ... 10 minutes after he got his order, I finally got mine ... he was halfway done with his food by the time I got to the table). The staff seemed to be slightly confused in managing the breakfast rush ... which is odd, considering that they're at an airport where people have to get back in line to board the planes. I mean, it's not like they're in a leisurely meal setting. I do give them kudos because the food was hot and fresh. I love that. And they give you WAY too many tator tots. But, again, they were hot and fresh, so no complaints as far as the food quality. Would I go back? Not sure ... eleven dollars seems a lot for a cup of coffee, some tator tots, and a hamburger with an egg and a slice of cheese. On the other hand, EVERYTHING is expensive these days. read more
