My server Jori was friendly, efficient and helpful. I tried the vegi burger which was tasty along with a tropical drink which made my time between flights more palatable. I appreciated being able to sit in a booth and charging my device while I dined and while I relaxed. read more

We had such a wonderful experience here on our layover! Our server was absolutely delightful, full of compliments and was silly and fun. The food was excellent and I was shocked at how reasonably priced it was for being an airport restaurant. We got a TON of food for the price paid, so much so that I couldn't even eat my whole philly steak sub and pile of (shoestring, yum!!!) french fries. Highly recommended. read more

Wow! I don't know where to begin. Service here is slow and terrible, the wait staff all move around in slow motion and are absent a majority of the time. Dirty dishes are piled high in the wait stations. Sanitation seems to be a low priority. Oddly, the Western Omelette was prepared quickly and was pretty good, but your typical greasy spoon. Not sure how this place stays in business read more

Two stars because the food was good. We sat at the bar, the bartender was cold and not friendly. We said hello and got nothing in return (as did the two gentleman that sat down to our left as well). Don't even know the bartenders name. Also, it's probably not a good idea to tell another server behind the bar that " I knew that table was going to be annoying" when talking about a group that you were serving. Overall bad experience. We only tipped her b/c we both work in the service industry and feel obligated to tip all the time. We will not return to this establishment on any of our future trips through BWI. read more

Bad service. I sat at the bar for what I thought was simplicity. Wrong. There were two people that sat down at the bar after me and both were helped first and had their orders put in. There was a woman working the window getting the orders ready, she didn't even acknowledge my existence, and about 6 waiters and waitresses walked by without making eye contact. Finally I had to stop someone and ask to put my order in. Got my coffee in a dirty cup too. My review. This place serves food. It will keep you alive, I recommend going somewhere else. read more

I don't think I've ever reviewed a restaurant in an airport before, but you know what, this was such a solid pre flight breakfast It deserves a review. The eggs were great, the service was prompt, and the prices were fair. I am for sure making this my go to spot when I'm passing through BWI. Good breakfast! Go there! read more

We were finally seated, received our dink order promptly and waited a long time for the soup. When it came, it was tasty. Our sandwiches took Avery long time to arrive and they were cold, as were the fries. The coke slaw tasted as though it had turned. We had high hopes, but.... read more

Disappointed with food and service. Burger was so dry. I had to go ask for napkins and condiments. The fries were good. Overall experience could have been better. read more

Thirsty off the plane. Cute from the outside, love the jukebox and vibe. Came in for a milkshake and float but they were less than impressive. Milkshake came in a plastic to go cup and float in a plastic tumbler... and no spoon to dig my ice cream out with! Holding off to eat elsewhere. read more

I look forward to stopping here when I fly out of the Southwest wing. I've eaten here around 25-30 times. Price to quality ratio is about equal. You do pay more, but I also think you're getting better ingredients and quality. My experience with the servers have been positive. They are often moving very fast but still take time to be courteous to patrons. It's an airport folks :) Healthy eating tips: -Looks for the heart icons on the menu. Nutritional content is also listed. -(Breakfast) Order the low cal. omlettes that use eggbeaters. They're great and I've often had them customize them as desired. -(Breakfast) The oatmeal always hits the spot and is served with brown sugar. -(Dinner) Mango Vegetarian Stir Fry. Tips for getting in and out quickly: -I leave myself a minimum of 25 minutes for Breakfast and longer for dinner. -Sit on a bar-stool at the bar or by the serving area in the back. In the back, you're in direct view of all of the staff. This makes it very easy to attract the staff attention when needed. -To order quickly, have the your order ready when the server comes back with your drink. Better yet, order when you sit down :) -Ask for the check when you receive the food. -I've also noticed that they have a monitoring system which appears to traffic light the orders for each tabletop. Other Notes: -I believe you can order for pick-up from the front. -The music plays the same loop over and over. My only request to the Silver Diner is to change the loop around or use something like XM that they can play oldies. I don't know how the servers handle it, I'm sure they are good at ignoring it. read more

I had breakfast here and it was probably one of the best airport meals I've had to date. Egg whites with spinach, sundried tomatoes, natural chicken sausage and GF bread. Really flavorful and service was quick (surprisingly so - super busy there). I'll definitely stop back. read more

What a surprise, clean eating in an airport !! I ordered breakfast and typically do not eat the jelly or use ketchup due to high fructose corn syrup being the biggest ingredient. Today the ketchup was. organic and the Smuckers jam was 'Natural'. No HFCs , not a big deal for some folks, but I have been working on getting that crap out of my diet. Cane sugar works fine, just ask Europe, they have banned the HFCs crap. Thank you for cleaning up your restaurant!!! I will be back and order a lot of potatoes next time. By the way the food is really good with out the organic condiments read more

I am a fan of the Silver Diner located throughout DC-MD-VA area. They serve upscale, healthy (and keto-friendly) comfort food in a retro diner atmosphere. This location in the B concourse of the BWI airport serves the same quality food at the same prices as their off-airport locations. I actually waited until I arrived just so I could eat here. The iron skillet steak ($18) was well-seasoned, tender and juicy with great side dishes, and a decent inexpensive ($8) glass of red wine. It is my favorite airport restaurant. read more

When you take into consideration that it's Food from a Airport Terminal, the Silver Grill turned out to be pretty damn good. We stumbled upon the Silver Grill on our stopover from Boston. We had not eaten all day, so we braved the food court at the Baltimore Airport to find something that actually might be eatable. Like anything in an Airport, the Silver diner is incredibly overpriced. I ordered a Patty Melt with a side of Onion Rings that cost me $20.00. The Patty Melt wasn't even a Patty Melt. It was a Burger with grilled Onions that was served on a Bun. But I can't bitch too much. The Silver Diner gave me some hot food and did it quick enough to get me to my connecting flight. There is some really shitty food in most Airports, but the Silver Grill is a step up from most of them. I got a decent, hot meal without having to settle for McDonald's or Taco Bell, and for that, I'm Thankful. read more

Like most reviewers have mentioned- it's a decent place for a meal if you have at least 45 mins before your flight. I appreciated all the healthier options and was impressed with their lemon salmon with quinoa and a small salad. It wasn't the most amazing salmon ever- but it was definitely better than expected for a diner type place. BF got the bison burger which he also liked as well. I would stop by if you're wanting a more sit down experience and don't wanna stand in line for chipotle or some of the more fast food options. And again- I appreciated their extensive menu and especially with healthy lighter options! read more

Stopped in before my flight since I had some time to kill and was presently surprised by a great breakfast! I feel the price was a tad high but overall enjoyable time. Was seated in the way back of the restaurant, perhaps because I had my pup with me. Since I toured the whole place I noticed it was clean and pretty neat. Had a breakfast skillet and fruit. The fruit had seen better days but I could grab a few ok pieces to eat. The skillet was perfect and large portion. I plan to pat my time in the future if I'm in need of a breakfast before a flight! read more

I have been sitting here for 30 minutes. The booth sticking to my legs and I'm loosing feeling in my feet. My flight is in less than an hour and I still haven't eaten. "What could be taking so long?" My starving Mother whispers under her breath. No one on staff could hear her- we haven't seen the waitress in 15 minutes. We keep sitting awaiting the food that would finally quench my need for food. It comes, it's subpar. Better than most but nothing compared to the Chick Fil A i should have ate. It is done. Don't follow in my footsteps, go somewhere quicker and better. They get two stars because the jukebox was fun. read more

So this must be a new trend with the diners here in Maryland. This is another one of those healthy, organic buy-local-ingredient diners. Much like the Metro Diner in Annapolis. It's a good thing I found this place because it was a long flight to LAX with no access to fresh food on the plane. Luckily I had some time to spare before boarding. So I ordered some eggs and coffee. The eggs were as fresh tasting as they claimed it to be and the coffee was always topped off. That's always a good sign of diner service! My tummy was very happy to have fresh and nutritious food for my direct flight to LA. Service time is critical at the airport, as soon as I received my order, I also received my check. While this might be rude at normal restaurants, this is very much appreciated at an airport because we are always trying to make it to the gate in time. read more

We were at BWI early for our flight and decided to grab a bite. There were the normal McDonald's, Arby's and other fast food chains and out of the corner of my eye I see the Silver Diner. We asked if we could be in and out in an hour and the hostess said of course. We sat down and I ordered the American Baby Burger Basket. I told the waitress I have a dairy allergy so no butter on the bun & no 1000 island dressing. She says, "Do you want cheese with that?." I look at her, like did you really just ask that. I said, "I have a dairy allergy." Her responce, "So no cheese right?" Me "Right no cheese." Let's just say I was worried how my food would come out. It arrived and it was made right. The mini buns were a little dry but the burgers were much better than McD's or other airport food. Hubby had the cheese steak and said it was just ok. It had a weird red pepper sauce on it. We each had fries and they were pretty good, could have been a bit crispier. Overall we would eat there again. $20 for both of us at the aiport it a good deal. Especially since they serve organic, farm fresh food. Somehow doubt the bread is farm fresh, just the meat I think. read more

Finding an appropriate star rating for Silver Diner was kind of tricky-- by what metric should it be judged? Restaurants generally? Diners? Airport food? I came to four stars because in the scheme of restaurants generally, it's probably three stars-- about average, perhaps slightly above. For a diner, however, it's great. And in the category of airport food, it's really great. Silver Diner is the self-proclaimed "Next Generation Diner," and to that end they've placed an emphasis on locally grown food and hormone and antibiotic free meat. Of course that doesn't mean this stuff is healthy per se (or that everything they sell falls into those categories), but it's nice to see those philosophies acknowledged and embraced in an airport diner, of all places. I had the guacamole pepper jack burger, and it was quite good-- flavorful, with obviously fresh ingredients. The fries it came with were the sort of shoestring fries they sell at fast food joints, only not greasy or overly salted. Our waitress was friendly and the service on the whole was about average. We were in during a two hour layover, so we weren't in any rush, but it's worth noting that we were in and out fairly quickly, which will undoubtedly be important to many Silver Diner customers. Prices at Silver Diner are reasonable, considering the local/natural bit and the fact that it's in an airport. My burger was about $10 and the fiance had a tomato mozzarella sandwich that was $8.50. Major points for the bottomless fountain sodas, since a steady and unrelenting supply of Diet Coke is central to any diner experience. read more

For those of you who know Silver Diner, the BWI location significantly underperforms compared to their other locations in all aspects. Service, food, comfort, cleanliness. Understaffing causes bad service. I sat at the counter and actually felt bad for the bartender who was all alone with 20+ seats working plus he had tables not at the bar! I ordered a Cobb Salad, which is not the same dish here as it is at the other Silver Diners. A cobb salad (at most places including other Silver Diners) has chopped ingredients, here it was two huge chunks of cucumber, two halves of hard boiled egg (from the Sysco 5 gallon container I expect), two tired slices of tomato, some prepackaged chicken chunks and a huge number of croutons and blue cheese atop an ok mix of greens. In recap, the overall experience was poor: stressed and overworked employees who could not keep up (did not even have time to wipe the bar), mediocre food not up to the name on the door. Silver Diner management - my message to you is simple - care about your customers and employees and fix this mess. read more

Nice option for a real sit down meal in the airport. Feels relatively secluded from the bustle of the airport. Food is basic but tasty. The booths have a jukebox that you can pay a quarter to play a song heard throughout the restaurant. read more

Great breakfast skillet and friendly, attentive service, but someone needs to tell the manager that it's 2022 and coffee that looks like and tastes like dishwater went out of style, even at diners, in 1987. Here's a tip: you shouldn't be able to see the bottom of the cup of black coffee. Or just ask Starbucks to service your coffee needs, and done. Then it would be worth that you're charging the same as their prices. read more

Decent food. Actually the Bison Burger was very good. Airport prices... So 2 Bison Burger's will set you back an even $40 + tip. But... the people that work here are uninspired! Really, the most unfriendly staff ever. We walked up to the hostess station and there is a girl sitting in a chair, buried in her hoodie, engrossed in a phone conversation. (We didn't know she worked here. Turns out, she is the hostess.) Clearly she was annoyed that we interrupted her phone call. With the phone still to her ear... she walks us in, does not say a word, throws 2 menus on a table and walks away. We watched her seat a few more parties.... same attitude, never saw her smile. And, not just the hostess... From the staff attitude, we believe they could not care less if spent our money here -or- elsewhere. Get off your phones! This place is in need of serious customer service training and attitude make-over. It's a competitive market... they should show customers the business is appreciated. read more

Our server, Big Bri, was friendly and efficient. The food was ok. The ultimate healthy big salad (forgot the name) was excellent but the crab cake was over cooked and way too salty. Cold food and bad service. I know that we won't be back. We would rather go to an airport kiosk and get a stale muffin.

No hostess was up front so me and another gentleman walked a few steps in looking around, she finally came to the front and was rude telling us there's a sign to wait at the hostess stand and to stand in line(all 2 of us it was laughable). the food was mediocre at best and server was stand off ish. I ordered & ate quickly. At the end I asked for a coffee cup because I know servers work off tips and have a limited amount of tables her reply was so rude that the couple seated next to me wide eyed her then made comments when she walked away. I have to say for an airport restaurant this place was pretty good. I always find diners intriguing because they usually offer something different or local or just have a hometown feel. There is something about setting at the counter in a diner that is different somehow. I was slightly disappointed when the waitress told me they were out of bison because I wanted to give it a try. Instead I settled on a good juicy burger and fries. I really was not disappointed. It was pretty good, fleshly prepared and hot between a nice bun with lettuce, tomato, and a bit onion went along way while waiting on my plane. Unfortunately, it was a bit on the pricy side I am assuming this is because of the location. I would stop here again. read more

OK, for this airport, not a bad choice. My service was decidedly slow. My server was polite - which is the first thing I am looking for. But I will say he really had no urgency whatsoever. It appeared he was also bussing tables now and then so I understand having to work two modes and I let some of it go. The food was pretty good. The homefries were maybe a little under done but other than that everything else not bad. I didn't get offered a coffee refill and that would have been better. read more
