    Mango Sticky Rice

A true ST Johns district gem of a food cart. I ordered a Thai iced tea, white peach curry with pork medallions over white rice, and their mango sticky rice. Let me start with they have a welcoming friendly staff. I came to this food cart station with my Aussie, Bella (it's a hot day and I didn't want to leave her in the car, even with the windows open). I ordered my meal and the owner handed me a treat for Bella. Sweet! I was handed my drink and I sat down in the covered patio area to wait for my order. The atmosphere was very pleasant and I appreciated protection from the hot sun. That Thai iced tea was the best I have tasted. Yummm! The wait wasn't long and the food was still very hot when I reached my home. I have had many different curries in my life, yet never tasted white peach pork curry. Let me tell you...it is absolutely delicious. It has great flavor and the pork medallions and vegetables were cooked just right. It came in a large portion which I will be happy to enjoy as leftovers tonight. Last but not least is the mango sticky rice. This is pure 'crack', sooo addicting! Seriously!!! I will be back!! I'm fortunate to have this place close to home. Hats off to the chef for a well enjoyed Thai meal!

I really, really wanted to love this place, based on the reviews and recommendations from some neighbors. But, I was very disappointed. If I could give separate ratings for food vs. price and service, I would only rate my food 2-stars, price 4-stars, and service 5-stars. Massuman Curry is my favorite Thai dish. I eat Massuman a few times per month at various restaurants and carts around town. For the most part, the taste is consistent no matter where I'm eating. But, the Massuman here at Sila Thai was absolutely awful for several reasons: * The curry was way too salty. I love salty food, BUT the salt overpowered the taste, which should have been sweet, creamy and slightly spicy. * The chicken was dry/over-cooked. And there wasn't much chicken, very skimpy portion. * The portion size of the curry was smaller than most other places for the same price. But, the rice portion was good. * The carrots were giant chunks, still raw/crunchy in the middle, instead of slices or small chunks. * The potatoes had a weird sour taste (sour like vinegar or fermented). * The coconut milk was VERY sour and tasted almost spoiled or rancid. Overall, the taste was so bad that after a few bites I threw the food away, didn't eat it :( Despite this, I will give Sila Thai another try, but will definitely not order anything with coconut milk, or carrots, or potatoes!!!

I LOVE this food cart area and Sila Thai is great. Fair prices and a big selection for a food cart. Pad See Ew is 10/10. Fun specials and hilarious staff. Only reason they get 4/5 is that they seem to seriously under estimate how long the dishes will take. I was told 20 minutes but waited an hour. An hour wait isn't a huge deal but it should be communicated up front to the best of their ability.

The white peach stir-fry w/ chicken

Stopped by here for the first time for lunch today. The owner was kind and gave me a few recommendations, including the summer special white peach dish, which you can have as a stir fry w/ choice of meat, or a curry w/ choice of meat. I went w/ the stir fry option (w/ chicken) and it was delicious. The veggies were firm and well portioned. There was a ton of chicken. And the dish uses an entire peach, which was indulgent in all the best ways. If you're out for a walk around this part of Lombard this summer, don't miss stopping by for lunch or dinner. Good people making good food.

Hands down some of the best Thai food in Portland! Me and my boyfriend always order the pad kee mao (pictured in my post), pad Thai, and the pineapple fried rice which are all amazing! And the pad kee mao is unbelievable which is what brought me to post this today. I would highly recommend this over lots of Thai food places in the area (especially Thai cottage ) because you always get fresh and highly authentic food.

There is plenty of seating there and It looked like there was a space for live music and string lights - probably a fun spot to grab dinner in the evening. We came for lunch and ordered the chao mian with chicken (spicy) and bian bian noodles (spicy). The noodles are cooked to order and we were served quickly. The serving sizes are huge. Neither one of us could finish ours. We'll likely order one dish to split next time, and that'd still probably be more than enough. The flavor of the chao mian was a bit lackluster. It was savory with a soy sauce flavor base, but got a bit repetitive with each bite. It was decently spicy and texture was there with the veggies, but I wish there was a way to customize with more spice or vinegar to taste. The bian bian noodles were more flavorful and also spicier. Fun noodle texture. There are also other vendors in the garden so you can pair a dessert, drink, or side with your meal while staying in the same area. Overall, a filling meal for a good price! Would come again to try their beef noodle soup.

We've been here a few times now and I definitely agree! They operate in the evenings starting at around 7pm and go until late night. I highly recommend their Asada tacos and Tripa tacos. They chop and fry the tripe until crispy and add seasoning to give it that extra oomph. Each order of tacos comes with the fixings, like lime, radish, onions, cilantro, and salsas. There's a long table at the stand with a few seats so I recommend eating these right away, fresh off the grill. For $3-4 tacos, you can't beat this quality and freshness!

I ordered a massive burrito with everything in it--it was packed, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I also tried three tacos: pollo, asada, and tripa. All of them were excellent, but the tripa especially stood out--crispy, rich, and authentic. The salsas were legit spicy and bursting with flavor, not just heat. They complemented the food perfectly. The music is bumping as well. Friendly service, great prices, and a true hidden gem in Aloha. I'll definitely be coming back.
