My family of 8 came in because of a huge recommendation from a family member. After waiting an hour and forty five minutes we got sat. I bought my family some drinks while we waited. They had no alcohol and were expensive. Our waiter was nice but not attentive to us. I had to flag him down for multiple things such as another drink or honey mustard. When food finally came out, around two hours, it was cold and not good. Pizza was cold salmon was dry. We understand the understaffing and long waits but we want hot good food for our time. The best thing about this place was it has a Marine owner and the pretzel came out hot and fast. read more

i called to ask if there were any seating open and they said once i come, i would be seated right away (table of 4). then once i showed up (2 minutes from calling). and then when we got here we waited AN HOUR. at least be honest with the wait times. the reason why we came in the first place was because there was no wait and was close by. otherwise, food was mediocre. our server had an attitude towards us and didn't really seem to care what we say. read more

Normal food! Not super expensive! This may be my favorite place so far in Jackson simply because I'm getting a meal, not an art project. It's simple food, burgers, sandwiches, pastas and down home things like chicken frieds. Sports bar atmosphere. I had the Cajun chicken pasta. It was good. My husband and I were parked at an RV park in West Yellowstone and decided to ride our Harley through the park down into Jackson to stay at a hotel for the night. By the time we got there and settled after a long day, we had to find a place to eat. We picked Sidewinders as it was featured on the show, Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. There was a long wait so we sat at the bar. The chicken pot pie was just as good as stated on the show and the French onion soup was out of this world. I ordered the salmon and was disappointed. It was over cooked and dry. I don't think this is a place for grilled salmon as everything else coming out of the kitchen and being served around us looked delicious! But what made our experience most enjoyable were the employees, Shayna and Cory (not sure if I spelled their names correctly). Shayna was super attentive and friendly, and never let our glasses go empty. Cory was the server in the bar area and as a team they helped each other and provided impeccable service. And being a local, Cory even gave us a better way to travel back to west Yellowstone on the Harley. It ended up being a beautiful ride! In a day in age where employees are hard to come by, and excellent ones at best, they made our experience an excellent one! Sidewinders is lucky to have them. This place is pretty horrible from a service perspective. Sammie the manager was not helpful. We waited 45 minutes for a table (which was fine) we happily ordered a drink from the bar to wait, and were greeted by the not only the rudest hostess, but the worst bartender (Nick) that acted like we were working for him. Then was explained to us by a local, "they are not used to this many tourists". At the end of the day, you are in a service industry. I tipped the guy anyway. Then we sat and waited for over an hour after we ordered. When asked for the GM, we were told he was out of town. No surprise. Food mediocre, service sucks and people rude. Don't get sucked into this place after going on the awesome Jackson hole whitewater adventure. Just keep driving. read more

This place is delicious, reasonably priced, and is highly recommended! Visited on 08/17/17 for dinner while driving through Jackson Hole. We ordered wings for appetizer and both buffalo (fire hot) and teriyaki were very good. Fire hot were not really fire, but hot enough:) Fish & Chips, "build your own burger", Blackened trout, and Carne Asada skirt steak - all were delicious. Steak could be a bit bigger but other entrees were generously sized. Dessert (brownie) was fresh and delicious. Go for it! read more

Fun restaurant. Food was fine - basic american fare, done reasonably well. There always seems to be a wait, but usually less than 30 minutes. Service was good. After entering the establishment and walking up to the hostess station, there was a young woman standing there, whom we later found out was a waitress. We stood there for about a minute before she finally acknowledged us and said "hold on a sec" while she continued to root around for something. Finally she asked how many and she said follow her. At our table she through the menus on the table and walked off, nothing else. Our waiter, a man, brought waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. There was no " hi or welcome or what brings you to Jackson" We ordered our food once he returned, but He didn't asked what we wanted for sides with my brisket sandwich (which they just gave me fries) or if my husband wanted any add ons to his Mac n cheese. The manager brought our appetizer, spinach and artichoke dip, which was good. The whole time where we were seated we could see part of the kitchen, where our waiter stood playing on his phone. Once he brought our food he left with no "how is your appetizer?" Or "do you need anything else" and then left. Not to be seen for another 15 minutes. Which we then realized all our food minus the French fries was ICE COLD, like it was made this morning and put under a warmer for a minute. We waited to let our waiter know but couldn't see him or find him. He finally appeared and we complained and he brought the manager who understood and asked what we wanted. Time retrain everyone! I'm not one to complain, especially since times have been difficult this last year, but I would not recommend this establishment. On arrival we were told that our wait was going to be 30 minutes, no problem, it was more like 50, and that was because we had to go up to the hostess to remind her. We sat for a while before anyone came to our table. The food took about 45 minutes, we ordered easy food no steak or anything. When our food finally arrived it was very cold and had to be sent back. Again, I rarely send food back to the kitchen. Our server was trying to run the bar along with manage tables. We didn't get anything comped and wish we would have eaten somewhere else. read more

The restaurant had TVs and I felt like the speaker volume was up way too high and I couldn't talk to my spouse sitting right next to me. The pretzel that was advertised on DDD (note I did not see the episode) is not really a pretzel. It's more of a pizza crust with marinara sauce. It's more intended to be a calzone. They ask you what toppings you want to put in. Also note, I was a dufus and said no fillings because I thought it was a normal pretzel. So take that for what you will, but it is definitely not a typical pretzel appetizer The chicken pot pie was not good in my opinion. It was very bland and really didn't have any distinct flavors. I've had better CPP's before. I really wouldn't recommend it to anyone. THAT BEING SAID: the service we received was excellent and quick. There are probably better items we could've ordered. We were able to call ahead and get on the waitlist so we only waited about five minutes when we got there. The server was great and the food was fabulous... We got the burger pictured below along with a Cobb salad. We each liked each other's food so much we're going to go back and trade orders next time LOL. Delicious be prepared to wait a bit to be seated. They don't accept reservations, except on yelp. The wait time was longer than posted, but understood since they are spacing out seating due to covid. The staff was all very kind and even more important the food was delicious. We had the pretzel, Philly cheesesteak, Cajun pasta, and chicken pot pies. Nick the bartender gave myself and our group such sharp attitude when ordering drinks that we had to ask him if he was ok and if we were inconveniencing him. Sami the manager on duty was extremely rude to my sister-in-law. We placed our name on the list at 12:25 and just left the restaurant at 2:35 pm. Coming to Jackson Hole for our Grand Teton Trip, we were anticipating a great meal here. Being big fans of Diner, Drive-ins and Dives, and Guy's stop here, and proud supporters of our military veterans, we couldn't wait to enjoy some good food. We decided to get a spot at the bar, and the bartender was super nice and friendly and beer selection is great. It's the only reason this review gets a 3! We decided to order the chicken pot pie and the Hot Nashville sandwich with fries. For the price, the portions of the food are small and very underwhelming. Fries were really good, but the fried chicken on the sandwich was small and very dry. It didn't quite seem as it was described on the menu. The chicken pot pie was not very hearty and just so-so. Very disappointed in this place and don't recommend the hype. Plenty of other great joints to try in the area! read more

We were traveling through Jackson on our way to Yellowstone and needed something to eat. I used handy dandy google for a quick food near me search, lucked out when we picked Sidewinders. The spinach artichoke dip will be something I crave until my next trip to Jackson, cowboy mac n cheese was amazing, and so was the Cajun pasta. Highly recommend for anyone in the area. read more

There has to be a happy medium....right? This has never been one of my favorite restaurants. But, it's my son's and his wife's so I occasionally get roped into a visit. We were all very impressed with the check-in process to allow for COVID procedures. Having the menu available was also pretty darned snazzy. I was not impressed with the drive-by serving. If you're bringing me food or drink I would like you to pause at my table and put said item down--not frisbee it onto the table as you blow by. An occasional stop to ask if I need anything would also be appreciated. Onto the food. Calamari was great. At least I have to believe it was as my lunch mates ate every piece. (I hate seafood, fish, etc.) Reubens were darned good too! French fries were a miss, but that's a personal preference. Cajun burger was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Nearly burnt and dry. Went to sidewinders this afternoon with my little cousin, Perry. We had a really great time. We sat down and ordered or food. After we ordered, we went and played games in the arcade. The games where you win prizes were impossible, but galaga and the car racing games were fun. We got our food(Nashville hot chicken and kids Mac n cheese.) My chicken sandwich wasn't spicy at all, but the flavor and the slaw crunch made up for it. Our waitress and hostess, Ariadne (spelling?) was a gem. Super friendly and attentive. read more

We visited sidewinders on our last night in Jackson hole. Other than being a little hot inside, it was excellent! We had the pretzel with cheese and pepperoni and the chips and guacamole for apps. Great restaurant with a nice balcony overlooking Jackson hole. We came for a quick lunch right before leaving Jackson hole. We ordered the Black and Blue burger which came with a side of the summer salad and we halved it with another side salad. The meat was tender and tasty topped with blue cheese crumbles. The summer salad was great with some apricots and crumbled cheese. We were very surprised when the slice of pizza came out and was in the size of my child. And to top it all, we shared the cast iron warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and whip cream.
