We came here for brunch/breakfast. It is a quintessential dive bar. I mean that it in a cool, fun sense. I had the Joe's scramble. It was amazing and contains my favorite food group, tater tots. Highly recommend. They have an average selection of alcohol but sufficient. Highly recommend for hair of the dog/hangover purposes. It's medicinal in that way. I didn't have one but would come back if I did. I had the Bloody Mary with the works which included a slice of bacon. Bar tender was great. Very attentive. She seemed like she knew most of the people in the bar. It is very much a locals bar. We learned about this place from my husbands customer who goes out to the ocean regularly. My expectations for bar food in a small town were not high, but they were far exceeded by the quality and choices! The waitstaff was busy as the place was very full, but the service was still very good. Drinks were quick and well made. The menu is quite large and the choices are better than you would expect from a bar. We ended up picking the Chicken fajita salad and the Chicken Fajita Sandwich. Both were very good, but the Chicken Fajita Sandwich was amazing! I only ate half and the leftovers the next day reheated on an oven stone were still so yummy! Holy cow their food is AMAZING! I got their burger dip with fries and it was to die for, especially with a few beers! My hubby got the BLT with jojos and it was pretty dang good too. Customer service was great, atmosphere was bright and welcoming. Glad to have a good bar close to home read more

We went here to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day and we were not disappointed. The food (mushroom Swiss burger & chicken burger) was fantastic, beer was cold, service was exceptional and ambiance was exactly what you would expect (and crave) from a small town tavern. This place has amazing bar food. Our family chooses their food for take out on nights when we cannot make dinner, and it's always delicious.

On our way to the Oregon coast from Seattle and we were very hungry. Shujacks hit the spot with cold beers, and very good food. Nothing gourmet, or fancy, but it's clear that someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. I had the regular size Philly cheesesteak and my husband had the burger. They are known for their potato salad and I was happy because it was just the way I like it with some dill pickle tang. I did not even get a bite of husbands burger because he scarfed it right down. Great fries with their own fry sauce and the total was $25 since happy hour beers were only $2-$3 We are so often disappointed with road food but this place is worth a stop. read more

This place Sucks! it was a Wednesday night, not busy and after two drinks each and an 1:15 minutes we asked our server where our dinner was. She informed us that the computer didnt send it to the kitchen and our food had never been cooked. Bummer for us! We wont be back. read more

The Philly cheesesteak was excellent served piping hot and full of steak and cheese!! I was really disappointed as soon as we walked in we were asked for i.d and wasnt friendly about it. After checking i.d and flirty with my friends boyfriend right in front of her, she then got us our drinks, i forgot to ask what type of rum i wanted but most places i do like to go to ask you what preference. she seemed most interested in the males of our group then actually doing her job! overall all service 3/10 cleanliness 7/10 drinks 2/10 i will not go back to shujacks because the bartender was TERRIBLE! very poor service!!! read more

My sister and brother-in-law live in Elma, so when the Spousal Unit and I offered to take them to lunch for a birthday celebration, they suggested Shujacks. They added a disclaimer: "It's tavern food...but GOOD tavern food!" How could we resist? We arrived around 11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday, and the place was almost empty, though that situation didn't last too much longer. Check out the menu; it's heavy on sandwiches and burger derivatives, with steaks and fried seafood rounding out the entrees. Service was fast, friendly, and competent, and our food arrived pretty darned fast. There were no negatives, only positives with our selections: Patty Melt; Reuben; French Dip (wife asked if she could have turkey instead of roast beef, which was granted without a fuss); fried shrimp. Sides of fries, potato salad, and jo-jos were above average in taste and temperature. They serve decent drinks. Only negatives from my point of view as the designated driver was that Shujack's doesn't have non-alcoholic beer, and the diet soda was pretty flat. Prices are very reasonable, especially given the good quality. They had a nice blues music channel playing, and at the perfect volume level. We'll be back! read more

The food and beer is excellent. The cooks are up to speed. The waitress sucked! After 10pm, handed the deep fried food menu. Ordered the Chicken and fry basket at $8.99. Received check and bill for food $10.99. WTF! Waitress re rang it up at register and it came up as $10.99. The waitress said that the register doesn't lie. True however I should have been honored of what the menu stated. MANAGEMENT, PLEASE RE-EDUCATE YOUR STAFF AND KEEP YOUR MENUS UP TO DATE. They're alright. I've only eaten there a couple times and each time the food was good . The staff is nice, but it's definitely turning into a place for all the young ones to party. The wait staff was slow, and apparently our waitress thought we were too drunk to count change. We got incorrect change by over $20. She did not argue when confronted, but it was really obvious it was not an accident. I would have given 1 star, but the food was good, so I gave an extra star. I would recommend this place to go have good bar food, but it's just not worth trying it if the wait staff is ripping off new customers.
