Service i would give it a 3 star but the I gave this place a 1 star, because if the food. I have never heard of any restaurant Not having a separate fryer for fish, pretty sure that's mandatory for them to remain open. Due to allergies. However when I asked I was told they fryer everything in the same fryer???? So my wife had to eat my salad. Instead of her French fries with her hamburger. The waitress didn't even try to offer her another side. Then I ordered the chicken fried steak and baked potato. What a terrible thing to do. Chicken fried steak is supposed to have a bit of a Crunch to it, because of it being fried. Well to my surprise it was soggy and mushy. Yup it was previously frozen and thawed out in the microwave. So disappointed because the gravy on top of it was so full of cornstarch it was glossy and tasted like it. When the waitress asked how the food was. I had my plate still full with 1 bite of my chicken fried steak missing and 1 bite of my baked potato missing. I told her that it is the worst chicken fried steak I have ever ate. She said sorry an ran away. Nothing was offered. The food wasn't even touched. So I will never go here or recommend this dump to anyone. They could've at the very least offered me something else. I had higher hopes for Copalis Cove Pub & Eatery based on the reviews. We had excellent service, the waitstaff were appropriately attentive and willing to visit a bit but didn't hover. The place was clean, and had interesting decor. The food however... we shared a Seafood Basket. The clams were undercooked - the breading was actually pale. The oysters, shrimp, and fries were good, the fish could have used another 30 seconds in the fryer. It was eatable, we didn't complain, I'll likely give them another shot when we're back in town. read more

We came for a weekend at Ocean Shores. My plan was to get halibut and cook myself at our Airbnb. When I couldn't get any fresh fish, we started looking for places to get food. I ended up ordering to go from here. Everything on the menu looked really good. Walk inside, the place is squeaky clean. The waitress was extremely friendly. The chef in the kitchen made meatloaf that night and I am still disappointed I did not get it. I had ordered my food before realizing it was the special. The entire place smelled amazing! And I make a mean meatloaf :) All our food was wonderful. They make their prime cheesesteak was on garlic bread! Amazing! Their clam chowder was some of the best I've had anywhere. We will definitely be visiting this place again when we come back to the beach. We had dinner from there twice. You were only in town for two dinners. It's family friendly as well as a bar. A new food spot in Ocean Shores, say what?! We visited Copalis Cove for lunch one day when in town and we were excited to see somewhere new. Service was really kind and the inside looks great! We got the Mozzarella and Pepperjack cheese sticks and DUDE, they were incredible. Thin, flavorful breading on the cheese and the pepperjack gave it an awesome kick. Probably some of the best mozzarella sticks I've ever had! I got the Chicken Avocado Burger as well and that was also delicious, but they super skimped on the avocado which is weird, with avocado literally being in the name. Other than that, it was tasty! Food was amazing, customer service skills could use some work. I came out over the weekend for dinner and drinks. Sat at the bar and had the bartender walk right by me without acknowledging me. I had to stop her and ask for a drink. After i was finished with my food and drinks I spent a lengthy amount of time waiting for the server to come and cash out because she was so stuck in her phone. At one point there was even a customer that was trying to say thank you and goodbye to her and she didn't even stop what she was doing on her phone to say thank you for coming in. I believe her name was Jackie. Hopefully this is addressed because I truly enjoy the atmosphere and food and plan to continue coming out. read more

This is a nice place for a meal in Ocean Shores. The service both time we are here was excellent. The food was a good value in today's market and tasty. They make their own tartar sauce. Everything was crispy and great. The restaurant was clean and fresh. A very comfortable place for a nice lunch with the hubby. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a quick snack. We ordered a couple of ciders, steamer clams and blackened jumbo shrimp. Got the drinks right away but had to wait 45 minutes for the food. We tasted each dish and spit them both out. Clams tasted off as if they had been frozen, broth was watery and flavorless. Shrimp were rubber, not jumbo and definitely not blackened. I'm going to give this place 5 stars even though they didn't have a kids menu or any kids portions / options because it is probably one of the most decent places to dine at in ocean shores. The ambiance was nice, clean, and welcoming. Even the bathroom was nice. I preferred it over our motel bathroom. Our server was really friendly and a self proclaimed bee killer she had killed 17 by the time we got there and 25 when we left. She called out each kill. My son said she was scary but I said that's only if you're a yellow jacket. She was pretty fun, tentative and nice! Our food came out quickly, we were one of 2 parties in there. If it was Tacoma this place would be a 3. Because it's ocean shores it's a 5 hands down. We would come here again. There are other menu items I would try that sound good. The former Pirate's Cove Pub has new owners, updated interior and a new menu. We were semi-regulars at Pirate's Cove (as regular as part-time residents can be I suppose). Copalis Cove is an upgraded experience! Atmosphere - the place was busy when we arrived, though plenty of seats available. A couple families, a few people at the bar, some couples and a few groups of 3-6. The music was low. Interior - updated & neat. Beach/pirate vibe is gone which may be a plus or minus depending on one's preference. Service - Attentive, friendly & professional. Beer - 12 taps, some bottles. Food - wife & I split the Joe Creek Smoked Prime Rib Dip Sandwich w/fries. Three words. Dee. Lish. Uss. So good! Prime Rib is smoked on premises. The roll was fresh and the pickled onions added a tangy zip. Yum!! Sorry to see an established location like Pirate's Cove close up shop. Thrilled that Copalis Cove has stepped in to provide another place to get great food in Ocean Shores. read more
