Posted 12 Jun 25. Heard great reviews about the new happy hour menu. It exceeded my expectations. My wife and I shared three appetizers; chicken breasts (3 very crispy nice sized portions w/fries. Fish tacos (two), and nachos (not texican), plus one beer. Total bill was just over $28.00. For us, this was dinner. I am eager (now) to try their breakfast. My only criticism is about the music. My hearing disability makes it very difficult to hear table conversation over even moderate volumes. Waitress did turn it down on request.

NY Strip w/ coconut prawns. My daughter liked the steak but instead of medium rare it was very well done. :(

My family and friends decided to give this place a try as it was just a short walk down the road from our hotel. We thought we'd grab a few drinks and dinner while catching up. For starters, I'll say that our host was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. She was a big factor in making our experience better than it might have been. For the drinks, we ordered pretty standard cocktails and they were done well although the strawberry lemon drop my wife got was a bit too sweet. Nonetheless, they were all pretty good. Unfortunately, the food, on the other hand, was a bit of a let down. I had the BBQ burger and it was very over cooked. So much so that I only had a couple bites before switching to my fries. My daughter ordered the NY strip w/ coconut prawns. The prawns were good but the steak came out very well done when we asked for medium rare. The highlight of our meal was actually the appetizer. We got the beer battered cheese curds and they were excellent. I'd order those again. All in all, it wasn't quite the experience we were hoping for. Maybe we caught them on an off-night. Hopefully that is the case as the staff were wonderful and we'd come back for the great service.

Cream cheese crepes. Delicious.

Another wonderful meal. I had the sautéed prawns with baked potato. My daughter had the BBQ burger. As always I had food to take home. Not one complaint about the food or service. Very friendly staff. Yes the decor is outdated. Is that going to ruin my wonder food? Absolutely not.

Delicious dinner in a nice restaurant located by a pretty large hotel. Took about 10 minutes to get in before happy hour ended, unfortunately, they only do happy hour in one section. Drinks were okay, but definitely not the best (they were really weak). Fish and chips we were expecting perfection, but they were bland. I believe the consensus was a YES for the Mac and cheese and salad. An OK for the chicken pasta, and a NO for fish and chips and the worst pea soup I've ever had... (not that it was horrible soup, it just wasn't/shouldn't be qualified as pea soup). We will not return to this restaurant as we see it was a little costly for little return.

Prime Rib special

Had the prime rib special and the cut was ginormous! The cook was perfect, the sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes were perfect (with just a hint of garlic) and it was all served on a hot plate. (The special also came with the most delicious chowder or green salad and dessert (options last night were carrot cake, triple chocolate cake, cheesecake or blueberry cheesecake). Our server, Silver, was fantastic. The entire order, by memory, correct. Top notch service (attention to detail like a fine dining restaurant) and the most kind & friendly disposition ever. Will be back. Recommend without hesitation. The ambiance and setting itself is a little retro which is great at the beach where you can dress up or come in with your beach clothes. [Separate bar and happy hour too!]

This place wasn't our first choice, but we were quite satisfied. Though the servers were busy they were quite attentive. The clam chowder was edible, though not over tasty. The fish and chips were served with Cole slaw which was room temperature. The battered fish was thick tasty, and cooked just right. The fries were average. Overall, it was a good experience and we would return.

The food was just okay. The service was good. I didn't eat in the restaurant though - I picked up our order to take back to our hotel room.

The bacon/blue cheese burger was just so-so. It was also a little off putting that the chef/owner was on his cell phone in the dining room when there were no orders. The highlight by far was the french fries..... imagine if a steak fry and a curly fry had a baby.... nice and crispy on the outside, while perfectly done on the inside.

This is very good news!! * Location: Perfect location on the north end of the tourist retail area on Point Brown, across the street from the ice cream shop & go karts. * Interior/decor - Neat, clean, bright. Wrap around bar seating, counters at the window, a few tables, two dart boards, jukebox and ATM. * Service - We were greeted when we walked in, found three seats at the bar (all tables were full). The person behind the bar gave us menus, asked for our drink orders and reminded it was cash only. * Food - limited menu (see photos). We had burgers w/chips (thick cut curly fries). Really good, fairly priced. I had the Harbor Bar + cheese & bacon, other two peeps had the mushroom burger. 5/5 napkins all around. * Drink - 4 beers on tap. Large selection of canned beers under ice. * Price - Fair & reasonable. $14 for bacon cheese burger + fries, $6'ish for a pint of beer. Cash only. There's an ATM on premise. Ocean Shores needed a place like this. Good food, fair prices (lower than average I think). Zero disrespect to the other burger & beer places in town. More options = more business = more visitors = WIN! The owners are transplants who had a business near Astoria, OR. They saw an opportunity here in Ocean Shores and thank goodness for that! The lone downside is they're cash only. But if you read this review then you know it's cash only and won't be surprised.

The toast on the plates were hard yet not overly toasted. The gravy and the potatoes were the best part of all 3 meals. Let me say, the omelet was smaller than the toast in comparison. The waitress abandoned ship and slid off the radar... we had to ask another matey to refill the coffee and he did so very promptly! He was the better part of the experience. We were hungry, so we didn't think about wanting to travel to Aberdeen for breakfast. We were desperate for food, so we decided to sit down. Needless to say, we had to wait like 1+ hour for our orders of breakfast. I literally had to skip on my biscuit/gravy order due to staffing issue and time constraint. The server was very polite, but we just could not get past the whole 1+ hour of waiting for breakfast. The food was ok. We won't come back.

I have traveled across the nation and spent time in countless queer spaces from coast to coast, yet Xanadu stands in a league of its own. Imagine a world where the staff and the patrons exist in a state of authentic joy. There is no drama in sight. There are no pretenses. It is a place where people gather for the simple pleasure of a shared laugh and genuine connection. The atmosphere is vibrant and fun, but it is the people who truly make it shine. april 11th, 2026…read more honestly, i was hesitant to come here at first due to the mixed recent reviews, but during a week-long stay in ocean shores, ocean beach roasters became our go-to place for coffee and breakfast. i don't have photos of everything we ordered (sorry! i wasn't initially planning on writing a review). over the course of a few visits, we ordered the sockeye benedict, country hash, G.O.A.T., brunch burger, turkey croissant, and eggs benedict. we also got the seasonal fruit, cottage potatoes, tim's salted potato chips, sausage patties, side toast, and cookie. as a warning to others, the main thing we DID NOT LIKE was the seasonal fruit extra/add-on because it was $4 for literally 5 pieces of fruit. we were disappointed about the quantity and think this should just be taken off the menu as i don't think anyone would want to pay this price for that little amount of fruit. however, the rest of our food and experiences was enjoyable, so we're able to look past this. i can see why some people would think the service can take some time, but there are usually only 1-2 people working the floor. so yeah, it's going to take some time, especially when it's busy. pls have some patience and communicate w the staff if you need anything. the employees were always nice, welcoming, and hospitable every time we came, especially greta (hopefully that is her name!!!). we were helped by her every time we came in. my friend rly admired her work ethic (called her a hustler) as she was always doing something, whether it was cleaning, taking an order, serving food, making coffee, etc. all the staff was great. we mostly interacted with the women who work here, but were assisted by greta the most so we always looked forward to seeing her :) i made a joke to my friend that when i ordered the G.O.A.T., i'm surprised greta didn't come with my order. as for the food, we rly liked a lot of it. both of the eggs benedicts were better than some of the ones i have had in seattle, so i was pleasantly surprised. the english muffins were toasted deliciously, the hollandaise sauce was a good consistency and flavor, and the eggs were poached well and runny. the croissant for my turkey croissant was flaky and airy mmm my friend wants to get this the next time he's here! i appreciate the variety of the menu for both food and coffee. it was hard for me to decide what to eat every time because i wanted to try a lot of the menu!!! i also appreciate how many sauces they have as condiments. they have a whole wall shelf of different sauces (i was excited to see the yellowbird sriracha hot sauce). as for the coffee, i think it's ok lol. it's fine to get just to get but after i tried the specialty drinks they had at the time (the lucky charm latte and nutty irishman cold brew) i didn't want anything else. they had a lot of syrups though!! which i like as a sweet coffee girlie. overall, my friend and i enjoyed every visit we made to this establishment and would 100% recommend it to everyone, both visiting and local. my friend's review: Service is amazing. They had good oatmeal raisin cookies. The coffee is alright. Good amount of options on the menu, not too many, which is nice. Food is fresh. Greta is the GOAT. She's a very hard worker. The bathroom is clean. The blue agave Siracha is good. The eggs benedict is good. Nice interior. They have the best ice, crushed ice
