I've been here three or four times while on business and it's never disappointed. I had a crab omelette that was sooo good! The place is a little strange, they'll ask as soon as you enter if you've ever eaten there but that's because there's a process. You grab your own drinks and order at the counter. We enjoyed our place. It's a cozy little breakfast spot. You put your name in and then once you are seated at the table, you have to go up and put your order. Wow! This place is very good for breakfast and lunch. While we were visiting Ocean Shores (3 times last summer) we came here three times which 2 days in a row. It is a small restaurant but the food is very delicious. Staff is very friendly and besides it is always full when we come, the service is pretty fast. I also love the fact that we order and pay ridge away before we have our food and they give us a cup to self service the coffee. I totally love love love it. Instead keeping asking for more sofre I just got there and grab my own and there is a few different choices of cream (vanilla coffee cream). Another time we came here was for lunch. We both got hamburgers. It was good but I really don't like when they use frozen parties. I just don't think it has a very good taste. I recommend this place and will be going back again when we go visit Ocean Shores. read more

After visiting a few breakfast places during our long weekend say in ocean shores it is clear that this was the best of the lot. It's been 3 days now since we have been there and want to give a few other places a try before reviewing. At first we found it strange that you order at the counter and then sit down, but this seems to be the ocean shores way. The hostess explaining all this was very friendly, cheerful and answered all the questions we had. I asked what she recommended and she said they had great biscuits and gravy...say no more. Wife had B&G with eggs and I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with a biscuit and side of gravy. Mine also came with potatoes and they were very tasty, I only wish there were more of them. Usually places load you up with potatoes like they have them growing out their ears. Here they say...no you get one spoofull...we ration these. Maybe just go ahead and put a second scoop on there? The biscuit to me was a little on the small side, the wife loved hers though. I can't complain about the Gravy at all it was pretty good. The Eggs were cooked just the way they were ordered, which I found out is not always the case at some of the restaurants here. Only turnoff for me was no fresh tea. I love this place. I visit Ocean Shores at least once a year and I always go to Our Place for breakfast!! They have excellent food and excellent service !! I eat plant -based so, I just had a side of breakfast potatoes. They were good and fresh and tasted home-cooked. My friend got the cinnamon roll French toast, with bacon and eggs. Order at the counter, get charged extra for paying with a card, then get your own condiments and beverages with the orders brought out to you. Burgers are frozen patties but the veg and bun are fresh. Service is not fast. Expect a 15 minute wait with no orders ahead of you. Have to ask for a receipt and it's not itemized. I don't often leave a review, only when the service or the food is exceptional and today Our Place achieved both. My family and I just lost our father and we are gathering in Ocean Shores to scatter his ashes. Well before we do the deed we decided to get brunch. We pulled up Yelp and #1 in town for breakfast / brunch is Our Place. We brought the whole family and all the kids. Most places would have been nervous of such a big crew but not Our Place. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I can't express this enough. Our server asked us where we were from and why we were in town. After we told her, she couldn't have been more accommodating even offering up hugs and smiles. The staff gave each of our three tables a complimentary cinnamon roll and a few drinks. I can't express enough how kind and friendly the whole staff was. Even going so far as coming outside to take family photos for us. The food was good but the service was wonderful. Was going to end up in Ocean Shores & found Our Place, luckily before it got busy because by the time I bit into my tasty ham & cheese omelette people started lining up, and this place was not that big, I think around 10 2-4 chair tables, but there were some picnic tables outside under the eaves. It's getting so frustrating to go to a restaurant that is short staffed. No staff dining rooms closed. This is definitely the way of the future since nobody wants to work low level jobs. We sat outside because the inside was packed. I had brought a book to read because being a weekend I figured service would be slow. Not so! My order was out so fast and the food was delicious. And the gal out front ( I think her name may have been Rae?) was AMAZING! This woman deserves a raise! What a ray of sunshine! She even asked if my pup would like some bacon when she saw her snub her nose at a piece of potato. It made me happy just to listen to her greet the customers and tell them goodbye when they left. The place doesn't look like much, but the line to get in this place on a cold December morning, lets you know something special is going on. The staff were warm and welcoming. Walked in put our order in at the cashier and prepaid. The server just brings napkins, silverware, and then the food. There is an area to get your own coffee, creamers, sugar, and ice water. Also all condiments, jam and butter are here too. We liked this! Never ran out of coffee. Our food was incredible. Had the chicken fried steak and the southern scramble. We each had a biscuit too and they were so good and flaky. Nice and light. The eggs on my scramble were so fluffy, like a cloud. November 2024: This is a local eatery that focuses on comfort food. We had breakfast here- pancakes, eggs, bacon, biscuit, potatoes, coffee, etc. The biscuits are excellent! They are fluffy, light, and fresh. The biscuits and cinnamon rolls are from scratch. The service style is friendly, casual, and you order at the counter. A server brings the food out. There is a drinks area where you fill your own drinks and refills. One thing I think would boost the food quality of this eatery is if they did away with the packaged smuckers jams and spreads and syrup and offered something homemade. Just a thought. read more

This cute little shop is VERY busy for breakfast. We checked out around 11:00 AM from our hotel and this was right across the street. We were able to get a table within 30 minutes and the hostesses were very kind. You take all your orders to the front and pay there - the only problem I really saw was that there was no social distancing at all, and it was really hard to get to the self-serve drinks since the lines usually covered that section.
