As soon as I read the Bloody Mary menu, I'll be honest, I didn't get much further, lol! I ordered the 'cluckin' Bloody Mary WHOA, it's a ton of food, don't order anything else!! Their prices are outrageous and their serving sizes are laughable. There are like 12 fries and 3 chicken strips for SIXTEEN DOLLARS. Every other restaurant in the area would give you a full container for that price. This place used to be good, but they've cut their serving sizes by over half and upped their prices by 50% in the last two years. Disappointing to say the absolute least. read more

I have been going to Shujacks for well over fifteen years. It has stayed busy while other bars in Elma have come and gone or fluctuated in popularity. The food is pretty consistently good. The Philly sandwiches are popular. My husband loves their ranch dressing on pretty much anything and I love the pickle fries. They have nightly specials like wings and fish and chips. The drinks are standard, not overly strong or weak. They expanded awhile back which has been really nice. They also added some outdoor seating which is nice, but often where people are standing to smoke. The bar gets pretty crowded so we usually sit in the newer, quieter area inside. On event weekends like rodeo, car races, etc. it gets extremely busy and service really depends which staff and how many are working. read more

We're traveling and loving all the local experiences! Shujacks did not disappoint! Very friendly service, she was genuinely happy we came in even though she was swamped by herself. We ordered Bloody Marys and they were spectacular! She asked if we wanted all the fixings and boy were there fixings! It was brunch time so a couple scrambles were the choice of the day. They were huge and super filling! The Taco Scramble could use a little more punch, like some jalapenos, but was very good. The local places are always the best and Shujacks proved that! read more

Things have improved since my last review. Bathroom issues have been mostly resolved. New cook Ferrill is an amazing cook and a great person. A great dive bar to stop into for a brew while passing through Elma. Free street parking can be found. Credit cards are accepted. An ATM is on site if cash is needed. Indoors is dimly lit and patronized by locals. Entertainment consists of background/jukebox music, TVs, a single pool table, pull tabs and socializing. Shujacks offers a full bar along with fourteen drafts beers. Of the fourteen drafts, the majority were craft drafts. Yay! Happy Hour is offered Monday-Friday from 3pm-7pm. Although we didn't eat, Shujacks serves breakfast (Monday-Friday until 12pm & Saturday-Sunday until 1pm), lunch and dinner. Our server was chummy and amusing. Overall, Shujacks is relaxed and matter-of-fact, exactly what I seek in a dive bar. Thank you Shujacks for the fun pit stop. read more

Great place off the highway with great food and service. This is the only place we eat and drink at in Elma when travelling to the ocean.

Well as you can see by the amount of photos that I have submitted, we spend a lot of money here. A LOT. In the past, the service was great. Not so much any more. We have driven here two days in a row and left both times after about 15 minutes of not even being acknowledged. Today, the owner was there. There was one, new and inexperienced girl tending bar. He would not help her or any of his customers. People waiting twenty minutes to order a drink while the owner watches his employee struggle to even enter an order into the computer and seems unconcerned that people are walking out. UNBELIEVABLE!!! So sad because they have best food in the area. read more

Three stars for food and service and one more for being a classic home town tav with a grill. I love these kind of places. And even though this is a small town where every one knows every body (I grew up in one), I felt very welcome. If you are not from Elma, do stop here on your way to and fro. Wish I would have gone to the Rusty Tractor like my daughter suggested. First I'll say the food was very good but...we had to ask for menus took a bit to get our order taken and that's OK we expected an hour wait but then an hour passed and no food. My daughter asked for them to check on our order well, no order was put in. Almost 2 hours in we got our food. People walking out because not a drink order or menu given. I was expecting some compensation. We got our soda for free. WHAT!? I get help is hard to find now but what a shit show that was to watch. Never seen anything like it. If I was the owner I'd be embarrassed and present to help out. I can only imagine the $$$$ that walked out the door. So much potential but poor management will sink a ship. I will start off my review of how I have been treated and how I feel about Shujacks and end with some statements of concern. I enjoy every time I come to Shujack's. I am not a drinker, so I come here for the food. I really appreciate their breakfast, and pretty much everything on the menu. Their menu is well-rounded and I have yet to have bad food served to me. I especially love their Wing Wednesday. They have some wing flavors available every day of the week, however my favorite is the honey wings. These are only available on Wednesday. Their wings are crisp, meaty and flavorful. D-LISH! I love that they expanded and there is more seating available. The staff are always extremely kind to my partner and I when we come to this establishment. They have a music machine, pool table, dart boards, TVs throughout, pull tabs, great menu, clean restrooms, friendly staff. Nice local place to come cool off or warm up. They have an outdoor sidewalk area where you can sit w/your Shujack's drinks. We were coming in for breakfast one morning and I had a coffee from Coffee Coop down the street (The BEST coffee shop around) and was finishing it up while sitting in Shujack's outdoor area. A nice lady came out and educated me that we cannot sit inside this fenced area with coffee from another place. I understood this, however I do feel it is reasonable if you plan to come inside and do business at Shujack's, that a soon-to-be-patron should be allowed to sit and enjoy this area prior to entering the indoor area. Upon our most recent visit, we were inside eating and saw an adult male, female, a child and a dog, sitting in this area after placing a to go order. Children and pets are not allowed inside the bar. This was allowed. Both situations were no different than each other to me so I question the integrity. Perhaps in the future, Shujack's staff could offer a coffee to me or anyone in this case, pushing their sales and making me feel more welcome. I have read some of the reviews and am a bit shocked by some possible racist issues. I hope this is not happening at a place I would call "my local bar"....how embarrassing to read that others have had such terrible experiences and that there is a potential for present (but hopefully past) employees that are this closed minded about others based on biological differences. When in the customer service field, ESPECIALLY, this type of behavior is substandard and should absolutely not be tolerated. If I witness this, I will never be back. So far, thankfully, I have not witnessed this at all. If I were the owner of this bar, any staff exhibiting racist behavior would be canned immediately. Spread love, not hate. read more

Everything about Shujacks is top shelf. Their food is always delicious and the cooks really care about what they serve. The drinks are always well-made and the price for both food and drink is very fair. The best thing about Shujacks is the people who go there. It is a place that is welcoming to all and every time I go I know I will see a friend. If you are in Grays Harbor county you wont find a better place to stop. read more

The Bloody Mary with "goodies" was delicious (crispy bacon, olives, spicy green bean & asparagus) was like an appetizer before our meal. Equally good chicken sandwich with hello...garlic tots?! Service was great, and food was really good. My brother got the deluxe burger, my mom got the mushroom burger, and I got the CBR Philly (chicken, bacon, ranch) and they were all really good. My Philly didn't really have any ranch on it that I could tell anyway, but I got the Jo-Jo's with a side of ranch so I just dipped it. The Jo-Jo's and the tater tots were really good. It's a bar and restaurant so I understand having music playing, but it was a little too loud to where you could barely hear each other. I would definitely go back. read more

I asked a local where was a good place to eat and she suggested Shujacks. I met a friend there for lunch and we both really enjoyed the food but the service was exceptional! Not just from our waitress but the others as well, Very friendly place, my friend had a bloody mary and said it was very good, well if you put bacon on anything it makes it better :-) We both enjoyed our burger dips with side salad, the dip was so good, and the salad very fresh with lots of add in's. Pretty big menu so lots of choices, this is a great find and I'll be coming back. Clean, good food and service and the prices were amazing too. They know how to make their brown guests very uncomfortable.. the bartender saw my I.d. And then asked "are you an illegal alien?" I was astonished by the question, I should have left but I "laughed it off".. I say I will buy my friends 1st round. She then goes "you must have got that double stimulus for being illegal" In my head I'm just think wtf is wrong with this lady? Walked in, looking for a late night dinner as we were just passing through the tiny remote town on our way back to the TriCities area. As soon as we approached the establishment and walked through the door we were greeted with well over 25 people staring straight at our small group of 4 people. By the looks of the other reviews mentioning racist behaviors and an unwelcoming atmosphere to those who have a more melanated complexion, my suspicions as to why we were starred down were correct. We took a seat at the last open table. For nearly 20 minutes we were ignored by those who worked there, but definitely not by those who were there as customers. One of the men in our group stood up to see about getting us some service, and was approached by a seemingly regular customer in the bar who asked if we were finally heading out. We decided to leave feeling extremely unsafe, unwelcome, and uncomfortable. The establishment is exactly what you would expect you'd find in an irrelevant, stinky, conservative town with residents who all lack the diversity that they so DESPERATELY need. Do yourself a huge favor and DO NOT COME HERE. There's a reason this business is still unclaimed on yelp, id be ashamed too. Side note, the only decent things in the entire town are the Burger King, and the Starbucks. Do yourself a favor and grab a whopper if you need a late night dinner. Third time we have been in and I don't know why we keep giving them another chance. Few offerings in town so that's likely a big part of it. Waitress/bartender was working hard - place was full but we didn't feel ignored. The kitchen let her down. Typically neighborhood bar, clean, great atmosphere, with a better than usual menu. House side salad was well done. Typical beer selections with some local choices. That's where the good stuff stops. Rueben sandwich was bland, soggy and lacked the flavor you would expect. Even the sauerkraut didn't have any flavor. Some restaurants don't use horseradish on their Rueben sandwiches but it sure would have improved this one. Wow fantastic food & service! Came here after the Rusty Tractor turned us away because they were closing early. So glad they did this is our new spot! Better & cheaper food. I wouldn't recommend coming here late alone if you're a gal....I was with my husband but I was the only female in there. PJ, our server was AMAZING! My first and last time at this business, I ordered food to go by phone and spoke with Chelsea Arrington. I drive there, picked up the food and provided a 20% tip. I get home to find out that 25% of my semi large order is missing and I had been charged and paid for it. I called and spoke with Chelsea again and she told me they forgot and to come by again to pick it up, how inconvenient. I drive back and get there to pick up my missing order, drive back home and learn they forgot to put utensils with the order, no worries. Finally after an hour, my family and I were able to eat our now cold food that's supposed to be hot. Out of the 2 times I was there today I was the only one there and the employees were to busy talking to themselves. Save the headache and avoid this business, Improvement is Needed. read more

So I ordered and picked up food tonight for 8 people, and I was told orders over 70 dollars is 20% gratuity. I guess I didn't realize that it was meaning I would be leaving a $28 tip to order food and then pick it up. My total went from $112 to $140. I would understand adding gratuity if all 8 of us were eating and being served in the bar, but we weren't. This was my first time eating there and I'm pretty disappointed by this. Believe me when I say I wish there was dangerous rating instead of a star rating. I should have left this restaurant when the racist woman sitting at the bar commented on me showing my passport as an age proof instead of a Washington state license and made a comment about how I don't belong here and they can't verify my identity. They did in front of the waitress who didn't say a word to her. I should have left just then. A really drunk guy came over to our table, used all sorts of profanity and tried really hard to pick a fight with my friends. The waitresses saw it and all they did was cut him off. The reason I blame the people running the restaurant is that they chose not to help us . They chose not to do anything about it. In conclusion I don't care enough about this restaurant to try to bring their rating down by giving them a bad review. This is to warn travellers looking for food late in the night. I was genuinely scared at one point on how volatile everything felt at that moment. I absolutely regret not leaving sooner.
