I've been to the WIP many times and have never been disappointed. The food, service and ambiance ALWAYS exceeds expectations. I think that if you were to look in the dictionary under hospitality you'd find a picture of the WIP. After my first visit they have called me by my name - my doctor doesn't even do that - he always asks me for my full name and date of birth! For goodness sake! In particular I want to call out Gabby, she is amazing! Always has a smile on her face and her technical skills behind the bar are, bar none, pun intended! Recommend the Wild Irish Pub without reservation! Keep up the great work! read more

Way too expensive for what you get. The service is ok to say the best. We went during happy hour and will not be going back

We were starving looking for something other than a burger. What a delicious treat. Great cocktails, great food, great service. Will definitely be back!! read more

In Shelton for a baseball game and stopped here for dinner! Looks cute from the outside and better on the inside! Friendly staff and good food! I had the corned beef & cabbage- it comes with delicious potatoes with shaved Parmesan & green onions- nice touch and delicious biscuits- or Irish soda bread! My husband had the shepherds pie which he enjoyed! Full bar and has a roof top bar/area as well! Would come back when we are in town- place was almost full! read more

Really great food. We had salads, Irish Sampler and Fish /chips. Every item was unique and just great. All real food carefully made. Good natured service. Charismatic place! read more

We had the sampler and what a great way to try different foods. There was enough for two and the chef arranged it on two plates. It was plenty and we enjoyed the pub atmosphere. read more

Happy hour! Happy hour! Check the specials board. The food is good and fresh. People are fun here and pay attention. Ambiance is pretty good. I always stop when I'm in the area. Try the beer flight. So cute with great selections. Do not skip the pretzel!!! Beer cheese is a must. read more

Sat at the bar. Damn near fell off the stool when I saw they had Old Rasputin ON DRAFT. Very good fish and chips. Wife enjoyed the Shepherds pie and soda bread. Food came out quickly and the staff were very nice. Passed my key test - no sticky floors or counters/tables! We will be back for sure. Mr Rasputin is waiting! read more

The food was okay I didn't like the shepherds pie and the bread definitely needed butter and some other stuff so I didn't eat the bread I would've choked. Just to eat here you need a ID even if you're not buying alcohol which is annoying and they don't accept my ID because it's not a Washington ID but it is very much is a valid ID that I use every else I also go to other pubs that don't require a ID as soon as I walk through the door we also wasn't dining at the bar I get it if it's a rule just doesn't make much sense the service was okay I suppose and the ambiance was nice. read more

Three of us had our Valentine's Day dinner at Wilde Irish and it was excellent. Gabby was a wonderful bartender/server who gave us great recommendations and made delicious cocktails. The food was very good! We shared the colcannon balls as a starter and the entrees we had were Guinness stew, Reuben sandwich, and pork belly bahn mi. We all loved our food and had plenty of leftovers for the next day. I recommend this place and will be back! read more

Great food and great service. If the front room is too noisy or full, ask about the back room.

To look at the food - you think it's going to be bland and okay. BUT...it's so amazing. Some of the best Irish food I've ever had. The meat melts in your mouth. That biscuit with their special honey butter is mouth watering. The Shepherds Pie is outta this world. I brought my mom back and she could even eat with lots of food allergies. Five stars!! read more

If, while visiting the Wilde Irish Pub, you happen to see a door hanging from the ceiling, be sure to ask your server about it. I won't spoil it, but the story you'll hear is worth the time. As for food and drink, the Wilde Irish Pub is everything you could hope for from this kind of place, and more. From a spot-on Reuben to classic bangers and mash to decadent Guinness beef stew, every dish has that rich, satisfying finish that hits just right when you're looking for good Irish fare. The Ming Tree wontons are an unexpected (but delicious) take on a menu item you might not otherwise expect to see here - not to be missed. Just like a surprising door hanging from the ceiling, finding an Irish pub that pays close attention to the food it serves and delivers delight on every plate is a worthwhile surprise in Shelton. read more

Great Irish food! Been about two months since we have been there, and we are still comparing it to each Irish Pub. And it still comes up the winner!!! read more

Menu is extensive. 70 percent is great, but there are a few things like their friend chicken that are dry and overly sweet. The Irish dishes are all safe bets. Their steak is very good as is their Irish sampler platter. Bangers and mash are my favorite. Appetizers are hit and miss. Service is OK. Don't love someone standing over me when entering the tip. I will tip well without the supervision. read more

Hands down our top restaurant experience! The food was delicious, but our favorite part was amazing, bubbly, personable, sweet server Brandy! I had a fish and chips and my husband had hot honey wings. Brandy brought us different sauces to try the delicious cut in house garlic Parmesan french fries. Outstanding service!!! We are bummed we don't live here - otherwise we would have came here every day! Thank you, Brandy for making us feel like a part of the family! read more

What a great find on a snowy cold day. Came through town midday to meet a friend and do some work. Found a quiet corner table and we ordered a Smithwicks and a really tasty refreshing mocktail and fell heavy for this incredible pork belly. Sooo glad we decided to share one, there's now way either of us could finish it alone. Huge chunks of juicy tender pork belly, caramelized edges, thick glaze reduction. It was absolute heaven. The colcannon was just the perfect accent. Excellent friendly and efficient service made this a place I will definitely bring more friends to. Tuck right along the main drag of Shelton, this place is a gem. read more

We stopped here on a Friday night while staying on the peninsula for a long weekend, and after a less than friendly pub experience in Hoodsport this place was a welcome change. The place had a hometown feel, an updated interior, and a modern menu. Cocktails were craft and full of fresh ingredients. The fare itself was Irish comfort food, but it didn't feel heavy at all. Our server was super friendly, she made us feel really welcome. She mixed up a really delicious mocktail for me, even though it wasn't on the menu and sent over some complementary Ruben wontons- which were so good! I'd highly recommend if you're in Shelton and hungry. read more

Been coming here for several months as there simply aren't that many choices and the food has been fantastic each time. Depending on when you come and who is waiting on you, however can make big difference. Today I ordered my usual Old Fashioned which was great but served in glass with visible crack that I saw after one sip then called over our waitress. She asked if I just wanted it poured into new glass. No! How about an apology and entirely new drink? Got the new drink but really disappointed. Also beware of bottled condiments- someone isn't doing their job keeping them fresh. Come on WIP! You can do better! read more

Wilde Irish Pub - Don't put something like this on tables! Gross - Pubs Near Me - Shelton, Washington

Found this pub in Shelton WA I. Our way to B.C. they welcomed us and our pup and gave us a treat to eat! Sydney recommended the potato balls and friend chicken sandwich, and we agreed to both. She also brought us a sample of the wontons (Fabulous!) and we drank their wonderful draft stout and cider. Dany was very comfortable with us here too! Highly recommend Wilde Irish Pub as a stop for good eats if your heading bort read more

We went to this restaurant when it first opened and got burnt fries when I asked the waitress if that's how they meant to make them she said yes if you don't want them that way, which was burnt you should order them less done next. No offered to replace them or anything and the sandwich wasn't good. Either my husband ordered the sampler didn't like that either. So we just went back Saturday night after at least two years. We ordered the blooming onion and it wasn't cooked so the onion was still raw. I ordered a hamburger medium rare because I can't swallow overcooked food. It came well done and I ordered the in fries in fact Three of us ordered the fries that were, the fatter fries and we all got the skinny fries. Anyway, all I can say is the food was pretty awful in our opinion On a better note, the service was friendly and nice and the Guinness beer was very good read more

The server, a tall brunette, was fantastic! So helpful and willing to check with the kitchen for dietary restrictions! Which they have!!! Pork belly was DELISH! Fish and chips was good as well, drinks were craft and prices were very fair! This is a gem of a pub and a must try! The owner works here too, which is always so great to see! read more

Finally got a chance to eat here Saturday night. Lots of seating between tables and the bar stools. Oddly it doesn't have an Irish Pub feel; the majority of the walls are white and the bar top isn't really what you'd expect in an Irish pub either. Our waitress was nice and attentive. I had an Old Fashioned which was really good and my BF just had beers. To eat, I had the Grandma Francis which is a rueben sandwich with steak fries. It was good! My boyfriend had the ribeye steak which he said was also good. There are other items on the menu we'd like to try so we'll be back. I think this is a good addition to Shelton. read more

Thank you Elise for making us feel so welcome. The food IS amazing. We shared the sample plate. Plus we had the wontons. We couldn't decide what our favorite item was. Everything tasted so homemade and full of love. The bread was top notch too. Guinness was served perfectly. We drove around town, looked at a few houses for sale. We are sold. Love Shelton and know we will one day be regulars. read more

Have been there several times, As normal service is very slow. Instead of taking orders the bartender/ waitress was worried about the bar, I couldn't get a refill of water during my meal lol.. But keep in mind this is not a place to go eat, it's a Bar so I guess that's ok. The Bangers and mash were not to bad, the sausage seemed to be boiled and had a pudding like texture, just was not edible, I have had bangers and mash in a lot of places including Ireland, I don't know what this sausage was supposed to be. I hope they are just trying a new supplier and it's not an indication of a problem. read more

Our experience started well but went a bit downhill after that. They had advertised their Celtic Beast Burger on the chalkboard outside and the waitress highly recommended it. Ordered it and... Whoops they were out. Ordered another burger and it was just ok. Ordered a Wilde Irish Rose Red beer (again highly recommended) and ... Whoops out of that. Ordered an Oreo cheesecake for dessert and... You guessed it, whoops out of that. I realize the server was the only one working the eating area but she became very surly as the meal went on. I might go back for the beer but not for the food or the service. read more

We live in the area but just found out about this place, and so we stopped here for lunch. First, the service was amazing. The entire staff was kind, friendly, and attentive. As good as the service was, the food was even better. We got the "irish wontons", hot honey cheese balls, and a blooming onion for apps. I want a jar of the hot honey for myself. For our meals we got the "Rueben" (forget the name) and Shepards Pie and both left us full and happy with all our choices. Nice touch on the hand cut fries you can get in different sizes. :) Cocktails were also fire too, props to the bartender who was working. Only regret is I wish I knew they had mozzy sticks, but we will be back soon enough to try those too! read more

I have eaten here before and food was good. Went to take out of town guests to dinner and learned the hard why that they don't accept proof of age if you only have a vertical ID even if you are older then 21. Maybe it was because she's Asian? Apparently management does think the servers can figure out their age otherwise. Lost my business permanently read more

I was visiting family in Shelton, and I have a vertical California REAL ID that clearly states that I am of legal drinking age. Nowhere on the website nor was there postage on the building saying that they do not accept vertical IDs! I can't help but feel that this was also racially motivated since I was the only person of color to enter the establishment. read more

We've dined here twice, overall good both times although service leaves mixed impressions, bartender (Jacob?) is fabulous! Corned beef and pork belly both served with colcannon are outstanding! Worth coming here for those! Fish and chips with coleslaw are flavorless/meh, and steak bites were an ample portion, but just ok. We will return to sit at the bar. Felt unseen by our server in the booth the second visit. read more

First of all the lady that serves us was amazing! Sassy, great sense of humor and great service. Now that we got that out of the way, the food and craft cocktails were amazing. Corned beef was beyond tender, the Shepards pie was amazing, and the fish and chips my wife ordered was not greasy and a generous portion. The cocktails were really good - highly recommend the Rothrock, it was really good. Prices are based on quality - Jameson and Ginger is about 9.00 for comparison. Definitely worth the drive from Bremerton and we will definitely be back. Hopefully they will add some love music overtime, only recommendation that I have.....check this place out? read more

We have lived within 30 min from this pub for almost 7 years and we just recently discovered it. Very good food, beer, service. Clean and cozy, it has the feel of what a pub must be like in Ireland. Friendly servers, fair pricing and the best Corned beef dinner! We'll be back! read more

After waiting for 20 minutes without acknowledgment from any staff, we decided to leave. We tried several times to approach each of the two staff members in the restaurant and they avoided eye contact and walked in the opposite direction. We've had good experiences at Wilde in the past and we're very disappointed and embarrassed since we brought family with us who hadn't dined at Wilde before.
