Given the fact you can look into the kitchen, you would think that would be better at practicing food, safety standards. The fact they have raw meat defrosting over their clean dishes is kind of concerning. their cocktails are OK but the bartender that was serving a dude with a douche look was wearing enough cologne arrival a high school locker room. read more

Three of us had our Valentine's Day dinner at Wilde Irish and it was excellent. Gabby was a wonderful bartender/server who gave us great recommendations and made delicious cocktails. The food was very good! We shared the colcannon balls as a starter and the entrees we had were Guinness stew, Reuben sandwich, and pork belly bahn mi. The food was okay I didn't like the shepherds pie and the bread definitely needed butter and some other stuff so I didn't eat the bread I would've choked. Just to eat here you need a ID even if you're not buying alcohol which is annoying and they don't accept my ID because it's not a Washington ID but it is very much is a valid ID that I use every else I also go to other pubs that don't require a ID as soon as I walk through the door we also wasn't dining at the bar I get it if it's a rule just doesn't make much sense the service was okay I suppose and the ambiance was nice. read more

To look at the food - you think it's going to be bland and okay. BUT...it's so amazing. Some of the best Irish food I've ever had. The meat melts in your mouth. That biscuit with their special honey butter is mouth watering. The Shepherds Pie is outta this world. I brought my mom back and she could even eat with lots of food allergies. Menu is extensive. 70 percent is great, but there are a few things like their friend chicken that are dry and overly sweet. The Irish dishes are all safe bets. Their steak is very good as is their Irish sampler platter. Bangers and mash are my favorite. Appetizers are hit and miss. Service is OK. Don't love someone standing over me when entering the tip. Hands down our top restaurant experience! The food was delicious, but our favorite part was amazing, bubbly, personable, sweet server Brandy! What a great find on a snowy cold day. Came through town midday to meet a friend and do some work. Found a quiet corner table and we ordered a Smithwicks and a really tasty refreshing mocktail and fell heavy for this incredible pork belly. Sooo glad we decided to share one, there's now way either of us could finish it alone. Huge chunks of juicy tender pork belly, caramelized edges, thick glaze reduction. It was absolute heaven. The colcannon was just the perfect accent. Excellent friendly and efficient service made this a place I will definitely bring more friends to. Our experience started well but went a bit downhill after that. They had advertised their Celtic Beast Burger on the chalkboard outside and the waitress highly recommended it. Ordered it and... Whoops they were out. Ordered another burger and it was just ok. Ordered a Wilde Irish Rose Red beer (again highly recommended) and ... Whoops out of that. Depending on when you come and who is waiting on you, however can make big difference. Today I ordered my usual Old Fashioned which was great but served in glass with visible crack that I saw after one sip then called over our waitress. She asked if I just wanted it poured into new glass. No! How about an apology and entirely new drink? Got the new drink but really disappointed. We went to this restaurant when it first opened and got burnt fries when I asked the waitress if that's how they meant to make them she said yes if you don't want them that way, which was burnt you should order them less done next. No offered to replace them or anything and the sandwich wasn't good. Either my husband ordered the sampler didn't like that either. So we just went back Saturday night after at least two years. We ordered the blooming onion and it wasn't cooked so the onion was still raw. I ordered a hamburger medium rare because I can't swallow overcooked food. It came well done and I ordered the in fries in fact Three of us ordered the fries that were, the fatter fries and we all got the skinny fries. Have been there several times, As normal service is very slow. Instead of taking orders the bartender/ waitress was worried about the bar, I couldn't get a refill of water during my meal lol.. But keep in mind this is not a place to go eat, it's a Bar so I guess that's ok. The Bangers and mash were not to bad, the sausage seemed to be boiled and had a pudding like texture, just was not edible, I have had bangers and mash in a lot of places including Ireland, I don't know what this sausage was supposed to be. We stopped here on a Friday night while staying on the peninsula for a long weekend, and after a less than friendly pub experience in Hoodsport this place was a welcome change. The place had a hometown feel, an updated interior, and a modern menu. Cocktails were craft and full of fresh ingredients. The fare itself was Irish comfort food, but it didn't feel heavy at all. Our server was super friendly, she made us feel really welcome. She mixed up a really delicious mocktail for me, even though it wasn't on the menu and sent over some complementary Ruben wontons- which were so good! Went to take out of town guests to dinner and learned the hard why that they don't accept proof of age if you only have a vertical ID even if you are older then 21. Maybe it was because she's Asian? I was visiting family in Shelton, and I have a vertical California REAL ID that clearly states that I am of legal drinking age. Nowhere on the website nor was there postage on the building saying that they do not accept vertical IDs! We live in the area but just found out about this place, and so we stopped here for lunch. First, the service was amazing. The entire staff was kind, friendly, and attentive. As good as the service was, the food was even better. We got the "irish wontons", hot honey cheese balls, and a blooming onion for apps. I want a jar of the hot honey for myself. For our meals we got the "Rueben" (forget the name) and Shepards Pie and both left us full and happy with all our choices. Nice touch on the hand cut fries you can get in different sizes. :) Cocktails were also fire too, props to the bartender who was working. Only regret is I wish I knew they had mozzy sticks, but we will be back soon enough to try those too! read more

Oddly it doesn't have an Irish Pub feel; the majority of the walls are white and the bar top isn't really what you'd expect in an Irish pub either. Our waitress was nice and attentive. I had an Old Fashioned which was really good and my BF just had beers. To eat, I had the Grandma Francis which is a rueben sandwich with steak fries. It was good! My boyfriend had the ribeye steak which he said was also good. There are other items on the menu we'd like to try so we'll be back. I think this is a good addition to Shelton. read more

We tried several times to approach each of the two staff members in the restaurant and they avoided eye contact and walked in the opposite direction. We've had good experiences at Wilde in the past and we're very disappointed and embarrassed since we brought family with us who hadn't dined at Wilde before. First of all the lady that serves us was amazing! Sassy, great sense of humor and great service. Now that we got that out of the way, the food and craft cocktails were amazing. Corned beef was beyond tender, the Shepards pie was amazing, and the fish and chips my wife ordered was not greasy and a generous portion. The cocktails were really good - highly recommend the Rothrock, it was really good. Prices are based on quality - Jameson and Ginger is about 9.00 for comparison. Definitely worth the drive from Bremerton and we will definitely be back. Hopefully they will add some love music overtime, only recommendation that I have.....check this place out? read more
